After searching for a good place to buy donuts, this place popped up on maps. I called first to make sure they had 2 dozen glazed, and what the prices were. After a short drive, like 4 minutes, they already had my order boxed and ready to go! And the box was quite sturdy too, I might add. ?? The young lady that helped me did mention that they had just opened up, and their signs haven't been put up, so I hear to tell you that they are open! Wanted to give this a try as I heard they were under new ownership. Service was prompt and friendly. A good variety of donuts and attractively presented. Tried a dozen glazed and were delicious. Will be back. They need to change the signage from the previous owners as I think would attract more business.

Better than the old donuts at daylight, especially having Carly to make my day. I am now a regular, not only a delicious donut. Carly makes my day just as sweet as the donut. Daylight was so rude and sketchy. Bland and sketchy. I stopped going to daylight specifically due to the rude nature. I tried K & J , good . Very. If the staff was rude. I wouldn?t come back often. First of all I absolutely love daylight donuts. They are truly some of the best. The old-fashioned cake is one of the best donuts on the planet Earth. We got five donuts in total in the cost was over $10 That's the only reason I'm deducting a star. But I would definitely return.

K& J Donuts is located in the space previously occupied by of daylight donuts! I tried several and they may rival Donut Palace! Friendly, clean and internet service available! The empty lot belies the treasures inside. Do stop by or better yet see the eye candy inside

This is a top notch coffee and donut shop! The donuts are fresh and some special donuts like the glazed donut stuffed with cream and fresh strawberries. Staff very friendly and place is clean.

Staff was very friendly and they had a ton of varieties to choose from. All of my donuts were delicious and fresh. I was really happy to see a full case with specials and fritters left around 9am. I loved the Chocolate Old Fashions and Blueberry Fritter - you should make those permanent!

Sampled the Daylight after dark booze shakes and custard. Everything was very yummy. They even have Dole whip. The donuts are also delicious. Nice patio for sitting outside. They serve alcohol in donuts, shakes or you could buy beers.

My husband and I came through here on vaca..I saw the building on the way to our hotel and we stopped in the next morning. Got a dozen for the first time from Daylight and they were great, my current new donut place. Donuts tasted fresh and had great flavor, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They have my favorite raspberry jelly donuts?a smooth jelly when most places have the less desirable chunky jelly.

Update (8/3/2023): 9AM, cold donuts. No, thanks! I?ve been going here since they?ve opened because well, they are the only donut place within my 5 miles radius. Their donuts are good, nice and airy, but not the best. They have ice cream and that?s good but pricey. 2 cones are $6!!! I usually just order things without calculating prices but that?s the only thing I ordered that day and was shocked.

Fresh and delicious donuts. A friendly and knowledgeable drive through attendant helped me make my picks as I had never been there before and the whole family enjoyed the selection! Those are some large donuts though. Will return again.

Only been here once, but it was pretty good. The donuts were fresh, even in the afternoon, with good texture and flavor. There were several cars in the drive through, but after I ordered it was only a couple minutes of waiting.

We eat at Daylight Donuts every few months and it's always delicious! Two years in a row we have ordered a large order of donuts (30 or more in quantity) for my son's birthday party and they are always so fresh and always a hit! Visiting from out of town. Came in on a Saturday. I loved the place. Such a friendly man who took my order. Couldn?t stay because I had plans, but it looked like a warm, inviting little shop. Very clean. I would love to return and sit at the outdoor patio area. So cute. I was impressed that the menu does offer a dozen GLAZED donuts for an excellent price of $9.99. I realize specialty donuts cost more, but the donuts were excellent so I don?t mind paying a little more for a great product.

I love Daylight Donuts. Delicious fresh baked donuts and other goodies, great coffee and specialty drinks, and now ice cream. Staff is so quick and so friendly. Especially Patrick, who makes my day every time i see him! I'm happy to live next to this wonderful business, I go several times a week over all other spots I could eat at, and the drive through got my through the pandemic.

The Daylight team was the best to work with! They were able to create new donuts for our wedding that are not on the menu. All our guests enjoyed the donuts so much we didn?t have any left after our wedding. We loved the service and the creativity!

Waited about 5 minutes in the drive through just to be helped only to find out that some items are 'weekend only" There was no indication of this on the menu. I could have been patient if it was JUST the wait but the menu should indicate if certain items aren't available.

Arrived at 6am and went into the store. No one came to the counter, so I left and went through the drive through instread. Person taking the order was very pleasant. Purchased a half dozen donuts. All but two were stale. Not a great experience overall.

Visited around 9pm on a Saturday night for some after dinner treats with some friends. After reviewing the menu of about 10 different types of boozy donuts we came to realize our only options were to pick from the 2 remaining types. In fact there were only 5 boozy donuts left in total. As for adult beverages, while I appreciate a good pour, my boozy shake was not enjoyable.

I have been striking out at this place so much! The last two times We came here they only had mini donuts. I tried going on Monday but they changed their hours without posting them on Facebook. I do honestly prefer the flavor of these to ducks but there?s no consistency in service. When we go there we always have to ask ,?okay what do you have? because they NEVER have all their listed menu items when we go. It?s unfortunate because we were so excited when they came to town.

Came there last Friday morning. I purchased a dozen donuts. I figured it would a standard price for a dozen donuts, to my surprise the price for a dozen donuts was $30.00. I was shocked, I will say the donuts are good, but my wife won?t let me pay that price for donuts again.

Needed to head to Columbia for tailgating first thing Saturday morning so I got there right at 6am. Apparently for these folks, "open at 6am" means someone shows up to unlock the door at 6:05am and then commences to get everything ready. I wasn't able to look at the donuts I asked for (even at 6:15 am) because none were loaded into the cases until after I left. And of course...no coffee was made so, I had to stop somewhere else. One of the best donuts I have had in a long time!

It was a quiet visit due to the large amount of snowfall we had in St Louis. I was happy to see that they were open. It was my first time trying Daylight Donuts. I will tell you I absolutely loved the chocolate Suzy Q donut. It had a little crunch to the donut which was perfect with the white fluff. The boozy donuts were extra tasty too. I will be back for more.

Today had the unfortunate experience of trying some custard that was clearly past its prime. Not only did it have a strange, sour odor, but it was visibly curdled and lumpy, making it completely unappetizing. It's unacceptable to expect anyone to eat something that's clearly gone bad, and the fact that this custard was allowed to be served reflects poorly on the overall quality control of the business. Friendly staff and tasty donuts! Been there twice now. I especially love the pinecone and the Bismarck that has the fluffy vanilla filling. My kids absolutely adored the pink sprinkle one! I had my dog with me in the drive thru and they took an interest in him, asking his name and even offering him a "pup cup" of whipped cream, which he loves! Little things like that make a difference to me.

I dont understand how this place is in business. The donuts are mediocre at best but the hours are ridiculous. This location would service customers well into the evening if you tried and even more if you added a decent ice cream option to your menu. How do you make more sales than Sheridans? We've had their doughnuts in the past and they were very good, staff was very friendly. However, we showed up at their drive through about 10-15 minutes before their listed closing time and they were already closed. Times should be updated to reflect the actual closing time of the business if they are incorrect.

Excited we have a peanut free donut shop. Overall these donuts are pretty good. The boozy donuts were a bit dissappointing - we ordered 5 of them and I could not taste any of the flavors they said they had - the boston creme boozy donuts were the best of what we tried, but the filling was very runny and messy.

I ordered an iced mocha latte and red velvet cake donut, which were both delicious. The woman working the drive thru is very friendly and was able to thoroughly answer any questions I had. I wish I got her name so I could give her proper credit. I?ll be a repeat customer! 12/10

I have gotten donuts for my office a few times. They are always a great treat. The staff is friendly and go out of their way. Especially the Man who takes the orders.

Very long wait time in the morning. They didn?t have any donuts ready and had no kolaches. It was over 25 minutes for a dozen donuts and I wasn?t even greeted at the window. The frozen mocha I ordered was half melted. Will not be returning.

Drive thru menu is very confusing, I would suggest changing to typical donut terminology that people know ?round donut with vanilla frosting, long John, sprinkles, etc?. Drive thru took 20 minutes with only 4 cars in it and I assume it was because, like us, no one knew what was on the menu. That said, the donuts were very yummy!!!

Great doughnuts! Today (Mar 25) they were very busy. The only gentleman working did a great job even though he was slammed. He was polite to everyone, kept explaining there was a line, and kept things moving along promptly.

Awesome, friendly staff. The donuts melt in your mouth. My favorite is just a plain cake donut. Their's is delicious! Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. Try the Pinecone. Its a cinnamon roll made like pull apart bread. Don't pass this place up. They have walk in, dine in and a drive through.

I discovered they have Beignets made to order on Saturday and Sunday. I tried them 2 weeks ago, and they were excellent. They melt in your mouth. They are worth the extra time it takes to prepare them.

Daylight Donuts is my go-to, "treat yo' self" location for an oat milk latte. I usually do not indulge in sweets for breakfast, so I was thrilled when they began offering their version of a breakfast kolache - they're delicious. I recently worked with Andrew to order custom-designed donuts (cream-filled Bismarks with sad faces) and they turned out perfectly. The staff at Daylight STL is always cheery and friendly. We ordered a huge order with Daylight donuts for an office event and they were fantastic! We had them delivered and they showed up right on time and were fresh and delicious!

Fast and friendly, and with a great selection. Big fan and can recommend the blueberry old fashioned. All of the cinnamon (rolls, bear claws) options are also terrific.

I guess go earlier in day...we did drive thru about 2 pm on a Saturday. Out of several kinds we were looking for yet gal on speaker box gave good suggestions. Was pleased with iced white mocha coffee.

I can only assume that people leaving high reviews ordered through the drive thru. If they had gone inside, they would have seen unmasked cashier's handling money then food. Wiping their eyes and noses, then handling food. Breathing all over food as their faces are two inches from the boxes they're filling. It's nauseating to the point where the health department needs to get involved.

We miss the custard place, but this is a very interesting change! Basically a doughnut shop, but so much more: doughnuts with liquor cremes, coffees and teas, with liquor add-ins option, and a few beers. Oh, and a couple of ice cream/custard options, like ice cream sandwiches. And there are some tables (gorgeous artsy table tops!) and chairs inside. So coffee and doughnuts for breakfast, then boozy doughnuts and drinks for late nights! Whoa!

Value is lacking. The donuts are small, dried out, and over-glazed. The price is high for the product received. I get better quality and value for donuts from the local supermarket nearby. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I went here this morning and they didn?t have anything I went there for. I ordered two coffees to try it out and it was disappointing. It firstly took like 20 minutes for them to even get our order and then the coffees were all milk, cream, and maybe a splash of coffee. We couldn?t even drink them. The advertised menu verses what is actually available day to day is very inconsistent. I?d suggest modifying the menu to what actually is available daily.

Not impressed at all with the friendliness with employees, always sitting in the office. Manager seens non existence ,No smiles on faces, I ask questions about stuff they say idk. During covid they close at 7pm, but the service was fantastic even though we showed up seconds after closing! Also found out all the doughnuts that didn't get sold during the day go to homeless shelters.
