JR's Donut Castle

The only thing good is the building and the pepperoni rolls. Unfortunately ever since the owner of the establishment changed everything but the pepperoni rolls has deteriorated. The buttercream tastes horrible, doughnuts are crusty 90% of the time no matter what part of the day you go, and the icing is super sloppy AND the cookies are also crusty/hard. I hate to see this place go so badly ive been going since I can remember and I don't even wanna go anymore. Pepperoni rolls are amazing if you do go They?re

I have been spending time in this cool little spot since my earliest memories. The smells hitting me while they are cooking fresh breads, pastries, and donuts while I was out delivering newspapers was always my favorite. Now I take my kids for the amazing counter service. Great to still have small independent spots like this in a time when all small businesses are being crushed and forced out of business by larger chains!

I wanted to send a very big thank you to the staff at Jrs! I live in Florida and all I wanted for my birthday was a taste of home good ole pepperoni rolls and Mr. Bees potato chips! My dad came in to purchase your hot pepper cheese pepperoni rolls to mail to me! I got them yesterday! The nice lady working that day gave my dad all of the freshest available so they wouldn't spoil in transit! East coaster here. The donuts and especially the Apple fritters are incredible!! The food is awesome. But you all seriously need to invest in a French press or have a coffee making class. The coffee is literally disgusting. It?s burnt EVERY time and a million degrees no matter how much cream we ask for. It?s flat out horrible. Get rid of the coffee machine. Do a large French press or a pour over and charge a dollar more. Never had worse coffee in my life I can?t even lie.

the donuts speak for themselves. The pepperoni rolls speak for themselves. Both are fantastic. Has anyone tried their hot dogs? Delicious! And they make their own buns for them. Definitely worth a try. The staff is awesome. Always friendly. And any order I've ever made there has been spot on to perfection!

JR's staff always knows my name when I walk in and remembers what my son and I order. They are always kind and helpful. I also place large donut orders for the company I work for, and they always have them ready quickly without any hassle. I take JR?s donuts all over the state, and every office I visit gets excited when they see that white box?they love JR?s! Their prices are much lower than the competition, and the donuts taste even better. We love JR?s, and I recommend them to everyone!

I can?t think of any donut shop I love more! I?ve been going to JR?s since I was a little kid, and still stop by every single time I?m back in town. Recently, I got married in SC and ordered a ton of pepperoni rolls to give out during my wedding - what a hit!!! We had friends and family who had never had a pepperoni roll before and are still talking about how good they were. JR?s made it super easy to order and pickup. Absolutely love this business and their workers!

JR?s has the best donuts! Not overly glazed like other donut shops in the area. They?re perfect! Anytime my family from out of town visits, they have to make a stop for their donuts and pepperoni rolls several times before they leave! The staff is so friendly too.

Lots of good interesting things to try. We got the pepper jack pepperoni rolls, a buttermilk croissant, regular glazed, a chocolate croissant, a sour cream, a cookies and cream and a cream filled. The cream was the best so long as you get a bite of cream. The buttermilk was interesting, a cross between a typical buttermilk with a croissant. The worst was the chocolate croissant, it was just dry and lack-luster.

Locally owned and operated by the same family for as long as I can remember and a staple and big supporter of our area. JR?s is refreshing change from the chains that are so prevalent these days. The pepperoni rolls are the best, delicious donuts and unique baked goods that are all freshly made. I stop here for kids snacks, to grab cookies or donuts for an event or a cup of coffee, never disappointed. This is the place everyone that has moved away comes back to on visits!

This is a local staple for the MOV. No one beats their donuts in flavor or price. The employees are always pleasant. I've made special orders with them before with absolutely no problems. They love working with their customers. There's a reason they keep getting voted #1!!

Absolutely love Jr?s favorite thing is their pepperoni rolls. They got me thru most of my high school year lunches and a pregnancy where I craved their pepperoni rolls. They have amazing staff and it?s nice to see a business that cares about their employees safety. If you haven?t tried them you really should amazing amazing place.

It's a great place all around! The donuts are always fresh, and very affordable! I got a dozen donuts and some sugar cookies, and didn't pay more then $14-$15. Great selection aside from donuts, too! This place takes me back... The donuts are so good no matter what time of day you get them. I also get the cookies with the icing in the middle.. Too delicious ??! This is the last place you ever need to go for donuts or pepperoni rolls.!! My favorite is the hot pepper cheese lol. All the employees are awesome just like the donuts. You can bet once you try them, everyone else pales in comparison.

JRs is a local icon with excellent donuts, baked goods and pepperoni rolls! I have bought and shipped many bags of their delicious pepperoni rolls to our kids when they're working out of town! Our youngest bought some this week to take to NC before leaving here for work. The folks are always pleasant and helpful if you're unsure of what you want. They lock their lobby doors at 9pm for the safety of the employees (way to go management for making your employees a priority!!) but the drive thru is open until 1

JR's, without a doubt, has the best donuts in the area. You not only get good donuts, but you get some darn good pepperoni rolls, too. Especially the hot pepper cheese ones. But the thing that makes them stand out the most to me, is that small town feel. The building is unique, the staff have always been friendly, inside and in the drive thru, everything seems like it has been made with more care than what is necessary. JR's Donut Castle is our absolute favorite donut shop in WV. We drive over 2 hours to grab donuts and pepperoni rolls. Sometimes only to turn around and drive back home. Yes, they're worth the drive.

We always have to make a stop here when we go to Parkersburg. My sister in law loves the yum yums (I think that is what they are called). We love the chocolate cream filled and the maple cream filled. :)

I live over an hour away from Jr?s but everytime I?m in town I stop and get get doughnuts. They?re always fresh and taste great! The cookies and muffins are good too. The staff is friendly and do a good job. The store is small but it?s clean, organized and a laid out well. Prices in my opinion are very fair and honestly on the cheaper side I think. Definitely worth the drive to check them out. Way better than Dunkin or Tim Hortons!!!

I have been going to this place for years. I use both the drive thru and walk in service to get my cravings at that moment lol The service is top notch, the pepperoni rolls are amazing and the wide variety of sweets are unmatched! Best little doughnut shop around!! Doughnuts are made fresh several times a day, service is always friendly. It's a little tight to get in/out of drive-thru but just take your time. Really don't know why employees are afraid to open the doors if you are afraid to work at this location that you have to lock the doors so you push people to go through the drive through then completely mess the order up and charge me for the order I gave you then give all the complete wrong items if you can't work in that environment maybe find another profession and open the doors so we can be assured we are get the correct order smh complete fed up with this can't wait for mchappies to open back up

A staple of the area, JR's Donut Castle(The taste fit for a king) never disappoints. I don't live in the area full time anymore but whenever I come back, I make sure to stop by JR's before I head back out. Whether its donuts, other desserts, pepperoni rolls or any other baked good, they don't disappoint. Competitive pricing with chains like Dunkin is a plus.

I ordered a birthday cake for my brother. I asked them to decorate with red, white and blue icing; and a flag if possible. WOW!! The cake is gorgeous. It has a gorgeous flag in the center, and red, white and blue stars (candy) sprinkled on top. My brother is a disabled vet and he was SO pleased with the cake. He is still talking about it. It goes without saying that the cake is delicious. Thank you JRs for going above and beyond on the beautiful cake!
