Picked up two dozen donuts for the office today. Ordered ahead to make sure all the details were ok. The donuts were ALL dry, and crumbly. They were NOT a pleasant eating experience, and I?d recommend looking elsewhere for your donut fix.

Great donuts. Finally a place with decent boston cream donut. Most places had weird-tasting filling in it but John?s was good. Their jelly donuts were REALLY good. And the brown one in my pic was absolutely delicious, maybe it is butterscotch? I am not sure.

Delicious fresh donuts with so much VARIETY. I initially came here for the jelly filled donuts, because I had a craving for lemon custard. I continue coming back for the peanut, coconut, toasted coconut, and something called honeydew. This a cute little local family run donut shop in a small strip mall. This is the smallest donut place I ever seen. You could miss it if you?re not looking for it. Thus nice lady Rosie greeted me and started a box for me. They make small batches with a. Ice variety and their setup works. Rosie took extra care to line the bottom of the box with tissue and put the donuts in the box nicely. Excellent donuts from a wonderful local business! We had family visiting for my daughter?s birthday and I picked up two dozen on Fat Tuesday (they also had multiple paczki flavors available, which I didn?t try). Selection was fantastic. All the varieties I chose were fresh and tasty, with jelly-filled, blueberry cake, and buttermilk getting the top votes. Way better than the national chain!

I just stopped in at John's donuts for the first time since the new owners and the donuts are pretty fresh?? I noticed they have canned apple juice imported from Mexico and also fresh homemade Mexican bread and they also deliver on GrubHub and doordash, which is pretty exciting, when you want those late night Donuts??

Donuts are not just Donuts come to John's donuts try their cake Donuts! They were fresher than fresh! We ordered a dozen 2 of the same 6 different cake Donuts they had. I know I got to let it go but even the inside of the cake donut was crispy all the way around absolutely to die for! I ordered a few donuts online from Uber Eats. I got a raspberry vanilla frosted which was totally tasty. I got a vanilla buttercream iced and same thing delicious. I also ordered an old fashioned and received a plain cake donut with powdered sugar on it?? OFSC is supposed to have glaze on it.

Donuts very delicious, came in for the first time after hearing about this place from Facebook. Got a half dozen and a few jelly donuts. Very friendly and helpful and it has alot of different varieties to choose from and some I have never heard of like honeydew pretty good. Not so sweet to be honest this will be my new favorite place over competitors and support your local small businesses. I'm surprised and shocked this is the first time hearing about this place and trying it!

Great donuts for a reasonable price. We would go back again. I recommend the cinnamon roll over the cinnamon twist. Staff were very friendly and helped us quickly and with a smile.

This is a very small store, with donuts with huge flavor! We bought a dozen assorted, and each one was delicious - way better than Dunkin or Country.

This is such a great little gem! The croissants are huge and delicious and their breakfast sandwiches are made fresh and tasty. My husband and daughter love the donuts (especially the banana cake one) and my little one loves that she can point to the donut she wants from the display case and the attentive employees will fulfill her order with a smile. We will be back when we are in the area.

Wasn?t going to give a review until I saw all the positive reviews. Not quite sure why so many high reviews. Been going here for years, stopped going when owners switched a few years ago. Stopped in for a few donuts today and wasn?t impressed place is overpriced for that cheap quality, donuts tasted freezer burnt, icing flaked off and was tasteless. My large order of 300 donuts that I picked up this morning was EXCELLENT! Everyone at the meeting enjoyed the verity of the donuts and commented on how fresh they were. Very few good REAL donut shops in the West burbs. Everything was A+ and I noticed they even have a small delivery truck for your catering needs. Took some for my warehouse team and everybody loved them! I will be back. Thank you.

I ran to this donut shop because my usual place was closed for a week. The service was excellent and there was a wide selection of donuts. The price was amazing?under $16/dozen. If I lived closer to this location , I?d be a regular.

Haven't even tried the donuts yet but I had the worst encounter with the owner. She was very unhelpful when asking about ingredients and left me unattended standing in the shop simply because I was asking if the donuts were vegetarian. It was my first time visiting here and will likely be my last.

Wow these were some of the best donuts I?ve ever had! The blueberry was so crisp on the outside and soft inside. Amazing. The coconut was flavorful and my boyfriend raved about the double chocolate. We ordered via Uber eats but I can?t wait to come in person next time!

If I could I would give zero stars!!!*** This place is a joke. Went for 1st and last time. The lady that sells donuts was mean and I felt unwelcoming. Donuts were old. She gave me ones from the back probably made the day before. It looked messy everywhere and there was a boy playing games right in front by register. Almost like he was at home and his mommy was baking something. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend!!!

Ive been to many small donut shops along with chains and this is by far one of the best. Their donuts are always fresh when i get them and extremely tasty. Their cake donuts are always my go to and the people working there are super friendly :).

Got food poisoning a couple days ago from the apple fritter. Was good going down but puked my guts out a few hours later and had the shits until yesterday.

The quality of these donuts compared to places like Dunkin Donuts is no debate. John's Donut Shop blows them out of the park, using fresh dough made from scratch and donuts made every morning. If you value quality over a small difference in price, get your donuts here. The owner is a pretty nice guy too.

We used to get John's all the time and recommended the double chocolate to everyone because it was the most delicious, moist, chocolately donut ever. We just got our donuts today and they are nowhere near what they used to be. The double chocolate cake is dry and the frosting tastes like dunkin. Way too sweet and fake tasting. So disappointed. We'll have to find somewhere else.

Cute little shop tucked away in Glendale Heights. The owner was very nice and helpful! They had the best Christmas donuts and so many other fun kinds at such an affordable price! Beats Dunkin and those boujie donut shops that run you $3 a donut.

Stale donuts, mostly flavorless, very unenthused employee. I'm really confused by all the positive reviews. Store had an overwhelming smell of cleaning disinfectant, and nothing like the warm smells of a bakery. Unable to comment on the jewelry or electronics they also had for sale.

A few steps above Dunkin but not great. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the ones I got but they didn't blow my mind. I'd go back if I was driving by but wouldn't go out of my way to get here.

John's is fairly priced and good quality. Most places give you air with some frosting, but not John's. Good flavors, good variety, and worth dropping by any morning.

New owners apparently I found out this morning. Lady said donuts were fresh so we bought a dozen. 10/12 donuts were dry and hard. Only "Decent" were the glazed. Never again.

I just ate one of the best crullers that I have ever had. SO much better than the dried out, hardened cogs of grease from Dunkin Donuts. The Boston Cream is really good, too, but the cruller was perfect.

This place has ok donuts, nothing out of the ordinary. Best of the variety we got was the chocolate frosted crueller. My mom did not care for their coffee at all. Very friendly counter lady.

Prices are up there, but donuts are better than country or county donuts which are the same price, I say switch over to John's there might be coupons out there?

It wasn't a dedicated donut shop. They said they made the donuts themselves, but I didn't see anywhere they could have done it. I would say they are about the same as Dunkin in terms of quality, and I won't be going out of my way to go back. That said, I won't be avoiding them either.
