I recently stopped here for the first time and was blown away in all aspects. The young man and young lady working were extremely respectful. Since it was my first time, they recommended items and were very patient in the process. I ordered the cinnamon and maple donuts. They were freshly baked, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
Well the photo that was on Google is years old don't know how many years but quite a few plus with the construction going on in Somers impossible to find a place but when I finally found it the donuts were delicious and perfect as always
Our group had a very pleasant experience at this location. The food and beverage selections were good. Regular coffee came with free refills. It is counter service only. It can tend to be a bit noisy with a full house.
I love the donuts! Today was especially awesome because they didn't even ask me to tip. It was so refreshing! YUMMY
Cutest donut shop in Sioux City, friendly staff and amazing owner! Recommend for family outings! Menu go too's: pizza wrap and white coconut donuts. Pictured is their new cups for blended drinks and smoothies. Vanilla bean iced coffee is my favorite cold drink. The patio is so beautiful in the spring, the owner fills it with flowers making it feel like a garden in the city!
The Breakfast Wrap was microwaved, mushy, chewy, and completely devoid of flavor. The donut machine was "acting funny so it would be over an hour wait for donuts". The milk frother was not working so no Latte's. The menu board has no info on food. It just lists a price for a "breakfast wrap" After waiting through a long line, it's my turn to order. I am handed a menu to quickly glance at while 8 other people are standing behind me waiting to order. At the same time she moves the fresh donuts that were sitti
Fantastic!!!!!!!!! It's one of the best doughnuts. We try doughnuts everywhere we go, and this is my favorite. For me, it's not about the fancy toppings like Hurts Donuts, but the actual cake. Service was prompt and super friendly. Loved the positive atmosphere. We went at a fairly busy time, and our only wait time was for our specialty drinks, which were fresh and as quick as could be. Also it was very cool to see their donation tree to the animal shelter.
I love donuts, and this is another reason for me to love them! Great atmosphere, grateful for all of the workers! Great breakfast for me and my friends!
I was in town for a week and wanted to get their hot donuts we went by at about 830 and the rude girl said they didn?t have any hot ones the machine was off. We got a dozen but they were not as good as the hot ones. She was rude the whole transaction. I went back two days later at 715 thinking if they just opened they would have hot ones they did not. I then decided on my way to the airport I would try for a hot donut. I called the nice lady put me on hold and came back and said they were just pulling the h
There is a sign in the building that says it all "Great food and cheap." From the doughnuts made fresh, specialty coffees made by the most amazing baristas, to the breakfast omelet made from love. It's all so, so good. Yes it's very reasonably price. Very reasonably. You won't be disappointed with this hidden gem.
Very good cake donuts. I don?t usually prefer cake donuts, but these are dense, moist, and delicious donuts. Choose whatever kind you want, they are all great. Pricing is super reasonable too. Must-try if you are in Sioux City!
This place needs a good one over. The food and coffee are actually pretty decent but the place is so confusing and not customer friendly. They have two places to order, they don't have a menu out and when you ask while ordering "what breakfast wraps do you have" then they hand you a big menu. Why didn't we see that when waiting 5 minutes in line? The decor needs a little help and coherence. The prices and food/coffee saved this place from being a one or two. Luckily that's what matters.
It wasn't what I typically expect from a coffee shop. It's more like a short menu restaurant that also has some coffee. The Hot drink menu was pretty plain with the most exotic item being a steamer. I may have gone at the wrong time, but it was very loud with a lot of kids (I assume enjoying Sunday lunch and that's great), but unexpected for a shop with a name so dedicated to coffee. I didn't try the food so I'm just rating on the ambiance and coffee selection.
This was a cute little coffee shop service was quick and happy and the whole place smelled delicious like donuts. The decaf coffee was cold and not the greatest and the cold brew is not the best tasting I've ever had. Wish I had tried a pastry though.
Amazing donuts and the coffee was so delicious! The staff was friendly and very helpful! Wonderful comfy atmosphere! ????
We found Jitters while looking for a quick breakfast bite, near the hotel. The place has a great, comfortable vibe and the most personable staff. The food is delicious and fair priced. We also bought a day-old donut and a made-to-order. Both were so good and we wouldn't have guessed that the day-old wasn't made that morning! We will absolutely stop in the next time we're in the area.
Love this place. They make the old sunshine donuts
Since the move the service has gotten even slower and the donuts are not as fresh. Really inefficient system. Product best when it?s fresh, today they felt like day olds. Want to pop in for a couple quick donuts to go? Be prepared to wait 10 minutes if someone else is there.
Great place for donuts! They have quite the variety and a nice airy texture.
Excellent little shop. Amazing donuts. Great coffee.
Daily special-Peach Coconut Rum Cake w/cinnamon. Arguably the best donut I've had in my life.
Great location and great donuts. This place has alot of seating.
The donuts here are great. Coffee bar looked wonderful. I just do brewed. That was very good. Pretty good seating inside. Very busy with take out. Many dozens of donuts out the door. I can see how they have been in business for over 24 years.
Stopped in when traveling through Sioux City, we had some hope after struggling to find a place for coffee and breakfast take out on a Sunday. The line was out the door which we thought might mean it was great and worth the wait. We soon found out that the long wait times are just due to poor management and lack of other options. We finally got up to the counter and ordered - turkey club, a few breakfast burritos, hot latte, and an iced tea. The iced tea came in a hot cup when they had iced drink cups right
The previous time I went to Jitters was well over a year ago thanks to a fellow that had a nasty attitude that worked there. My son asked if we could get Jitters donuts this morning. I hesitantly took him there. Fortunately, I did not see the fellow working there and the ladies working there were very nice. The donuts have always been amazing, but service does matter. I was very happy with the service this morning.
The donuts are what I came for. I know the history of the machine they use and grew up with these donuts. I'm so glad that this place is able to make these donuts. They are fresh (you literally watch them being made) and delicious. The staff was friendly. I didn't care for the coffee, though I do like that you choose your shot amount. No matter what size you get, the drink comes with one shot, but you can add as many shots as you want for 25 cents each. The problem is that it tastes like cheap hotel coffee
Adorable little coffee shop. Friendly staff and great donuts!
My honest review; I recently moved to Sioux City, and I can honestly say we have the best donuts in town. The donuts are amazing. Guys, if you're not from here and just passing by, you need to stop here and try this amazing donuts. I keep saying"amazing", seriously you need to try this donuts. I don't know about the coffee, I haven't try it. The customer service is good as well.
Love the new place! Donuts arr still my favorite in town. I need to get a drink and try other food when I stop in next time.
Since moving the donuts are not hot and fresh. When asked if the donuts were hot and fresh she laughed and put what tasted like day old donuts in the box. Very disappointing
Cheap coffee and donuts and very tasty!
Great coffee, great rugged atmosphere. I love this place. You can also watch the donuts being made fresh and delicious. Unfortunately I live 90 miles away, but will be looking forward to future visits when in Sioux City.
Best tasting donuts I have ever had!! The drip coffee could be stronger, but definitely come here for the donuts!
Stayed overnight on a road trip. Came here for a quick bite and coffee before we hit the road. What a pleasant surprise the coffee was good but the donuts were amazing. Been us we had plain to several different toppings. No one was disappointed in the least. The batter is perfection. Light and flavorful. Best donut I have had. Better then fresh Krispy cream and vodoo donuts
I stopped in at 12:35pm, tried to order, and was told their kitchen was closed after being told they were open until 1 PM (by phone.) One table with 2 customers in the whole place. Sad, this place used to be amazing. Unfortunately, like SC, they all start out great and then the service deteriorates.
Had to take a minute to really rave here. In my 30 years of living, it's safe to say that this doughnut shop has the best doughnuts I've ever had in my entire life. Even having traveled all over the country, these little cake doughnuts are incredible. The customer service has always been really wonderful too. When we come back to visit from Colorado, this place is a priority to visit if you come to Sioux City. . Don't even second guess it. If I could give this business 20 stars , I would. The product is alw
Jitters was horrible. Wanted to get something other than donuts and coffee and waited in line only to find out the breakfast wraps are only egg based and they didn't have a cook to make anything. But there were 4 people working!!! So if you're looking for donuts and coffee it's probably great.
This morning my son wanted to go get donuts. We stopped in to a cashier who didn't acknowledge we where standing at the counter until 5 or more mins passed, she was to busy doing something in writing at the counter. We asked if they had donuts, she said they stop aerving donuts at 1030AM. Imagine that a Donut shop who doesn't serve nor have any donuts before 11am on a Saturday. She had an attitude and said there was only a one day old donut left, Again attitude. I asked for a manager, asked I could get spri
The donuts are the draw. Very busy on Saturday morning. You will wait in a long line for great taste. Their veggie wrap is also fantastic. Lacking in space when there is a crowd. Nice for intimate gatherings like a book club. Their lattes are watery.
Ok this place is legit! Fantastic donuts and a band of enthusiastic, eclectic and fun individuals working there. Their regular coffee is pretty weak, midwest see through but has good flavor. I do wish I ordered an ameracano or espresso with it. Other that, this is an awesome place and earned 5 stars from me. If you are in Soiux City and you don't get a donut here you are a loser or possibly a diabetic and get a pass maybe.. Either way walk an extra mile double up the insulin and enjoy.
Love these donuts, and the new location is so nice with huge windows and donut-themed table cloths ??
Don't go here for espresso drinks. It is a donut cafe and really should only serve drip coffee. Probably the worst espresso drink you will find. The owners and staff need training to know the basics of producing a good espresso. Hire a skilled barista to teach your staff and taste your product!
This coffee house is the most creative space in Sioux City. It provides plenty of diverse seating - a table or couch. It has a wonderful donuts all fresh and handmade as well as a varied menu that is very decently priced. The staff all get busy and still smile and are very helpful.
Amazing donuts. Great coffee. New location. I come back every time i come thru town.
Visited from out of town. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the prices and quality were great! One wrap fed two of us for about $6.75. I had a cinnamon latte and it was fantastic -- not overly sweet at all, as some other caf?s' lattes tend to be. I'd love to visit again if I'm in the area.
The donuts are eatable and the coffee is drinkable.
Nice little stop for coffee and a doughnut. Loved the cake doughnuts!
Their donuts are really good when they are hot. The last couple times I stopped they were not making them so I had to get whatever was on the shelf. The other day I thought I was in luck because they were making them. I asked for a hot donut but the guy making them said he had to get rid of the ones on the shelf first. I said that's ok as long as they were hot. Anyway, long story short, they were not even warm. The donut maker was not friendly nor was he truthful. If getting rid of the cold ones first is
I love their donuts! I ordered a chai latte and i got a cup of warm milk back. Consistency ppl. I'll just stick to the donuts next time.
I really, REALLY wanted to give this place 5 stars but I just can?t. Compared to a place like Hurts Donuts or idk any other hometown coffee and donut place and I?m left wanting. The coffee is?well what anyone can do with a dual espresso maker but the donuts? Aside from being ?fresh? made in a bucket for everyone to see ?they?re beyond basic, not inspired by any means, and did I say basic? You got your donut ring in essentially 4-5 never changing iced flavors. Boring. Par for the course for SUX but some of u
Doughnuts are amazing! The best I?ve ever had. The owner is really kind and if any of the staff chooses to act otherwise (which I know they have) I wouldn?t hold it against this business, they?re one of the best coffee shops and quality delicious doughnuts I?ve ever had. Will always remain a customer no matter how the staff treats me or anyone else, cause I believe in the owner.
The homemade donuts might be the best we've eaten EVER!
I made my first visits to Jitters recently to get doughnuts, since Casey's isn't offering cake doughnuts during the virus crisis. Jitters doughnuts were fresh and delicious, and they had my desired coconut available. The cafe has a good ambiance. However, the unfriendly service made a very poor first impression. A smile and a "thank you" goes a long way.
Best doughnuts in town. Hands down and no comparison. Get em warm and enjoy a great cup of joe while there or take em home and mow them down in private. I remember getting Sunshine doughnuts when they were on W. 7th as a kid.... best memories are the little ones. When new relatives or friends to the area come around- always start their day with them and sometimes at the shop. Never heard a "let's not go back there."
Simple delicious donuts. quaint atmosphere with a twist of home. If you're looking for a place to go relax and enjoy a cup of coffee this is the place. The help is friendly, they have free wifi, and couches to relax on while you wind up or wind down your day. I love the J bar, it's cornflakes with peanutbutter and gooey sauce all over them. Give it a try.
Can't beat the fresh cake donuts!
Great place for Sunshine donuts
We both had the Southwest Burrito that had kind of a sweet sauce on it. It was okay. The reason I gave it two stars was because not a single worker in there had a mask on. Not even the guy making the donuts. Gross.
Absolutely love this place. Friendly staff and you can?t beat the donuts!
This was my first time ordering anything from this place (though I have had their donuts at work functions) but after hearing such good reviews about the coffee and doughnuts, I decided to give their lunch menu a try. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The Ravin' Reuben is nothing to rave about. No flavor to it at all. Cheap corned beef and bland sauerkraut, which if you are the type of person who likes Reubens, you know the sauerkraut needs to pack a punch. The Thousand Island dressing was also very watere
While my family loves these doughnuts, definitely the best in town, I need to share my experience and disappointment. Took my daughters there today to get couple doughnuts each and we had to wait 30 mins. They obviously didn't make enough doughnuts or maybe they make them to order I don't know but that's basically what they were doing making them as the orders came in. Worse part is that there were people walking in and picking up 1 to 2 dozen doughnuts because apparently they called in there orders ?? w
I grew up on the north side of Sioux City in the 80s when Sunshine was still a store and had a cafe in the front of it. My mom would take us after church and we would get a six pack of doughnuts on the styrofoam tray. So needless to say it's been a while since I have a Sunshine doughnut and this place delivered. Just like I remember them. Good job! I will be back whenever I am in town.
Out-of-towner review: "Jitters" restaurant. What a nice cafe eatery. Great coffees, Homemade & fresh donuts, breakfast burritos (with recommended customization by staff), cool wraps, hot wraps, plenty of comfortable cafe table seating, couches, artwork, and an attentive,, friendly & professional staff. Tasty California breakfast burrito, donuts & Americano. Not sure what else these fine people could do better. Very impressive. Recommended highly.
Love the donuts ??... they claim they taste just like Sunshine?s donuts but I don?t agree... they are similar but not exactly the same... don?t get me wrong they are great tasting and don?t leave that greasy after taste that some cake donuts leave... I definitely think you will love them if you try them and since Sunshine donut counters no longer exist this will cure the cravings for one!
Wow! Amazing service, the donuts are so delicious! Love sitting here and chatting! The coffee is really good and the atmosphere is very fun and relaxing!
I have been to Jitters 2 times - the 2nd time was to give a second chance. I tend to give benefit of the doubt and error in people having an ?off day? or what not. On both visits I was surprised employees were not wearing masks. They handled food, drinks, cash and cards. Both times there was the same guy making donuts out front wearing a ball cap backwards with his hair sticking out out from under it as well has a beard of sorts. He was not wearing a hair net. I am not the health department nor do I claim t
Had family come from out of town who wanted to try Jitters. Service was terrible. The guy that helped us refused to give us the donuts we asked him for and threw donuts into the to go boxes. It was very apparent we were an inconvenience for him. I was embarrassed by his behavior.
Place is very welcoming; staff friendly and informative, homemade donuts scrumptious, great selection of beverages Will be back!
If you want really awesome donuts, this is the place to go. Yum! Friendly staff.
I liked it. Donuts and cafe are delicious and they are well priced. We spent three hours chatting together and we enjoyed. Staff was cool and respectful.
The Chocolate Rainbow Sprinkle and the Maple Nut donuts for the win! Getting to see them made and eating them hot and fresh is icing on the donut :)
Good donuts, but disappointing service. They wouldn?t allow pre orders because of National Donut Day!! They said because it?s so busy they don?t do it. I don?t get it. Thank goodness there?s Sprinkles just down the street!
Coffee was great and donuts were delicious. Great place to sit down. Would be nice if they had a drive up window, and if it was a little faster
The best donuts in town! Great variety and so fresh!
Our office just ordered from here and I got the lip lickin sesame chicken salad.......wasn't even worth it. I counted 5 leaves of lettuce, completely dry with no dressing, chicken was dry. Yuck.
Looking for a local coffee shop, this is it! The staff there are always friendly and ready to get you what you need. Service is quick and coffee hot. Best doughnuts in town!
Top notch place. Great food and amazing coffee
Place was busy and all the tables were dirty. I asked the owner if someone could clean off a table. Her response was "I'll get to it when I can". She did manage to clear dishes but tables never got wiped off. Its unsanitary to eat at a dirty table after other people. I think she needs to hire more people for the busy times.
It had a very interesting vibe. The furnishings were very mismatched but in a good way. I only got an Irish Cream flavored latte but it was very average coffee.
The donuts are amazing! Kid friendly.
They have very friendly staff and are community driven. Locally owned and provide a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items. Donuts are amazing and very reasonably priced!
Super cute coffee shop with warm donuts ??!!! They melt in your mouth ?? ! They also have breakfast wraps that ate fresh and lite!
First time I had their donuts and man oh man they are the best donuts around
Very good cake donuts, heard the coffee is good but not a coffee fan of any kind. Service is slow but they were busy.
Jitters offers a delightful environment for enjoying coffee and donuts in the morning or a yummy lunch. It is a destination you shouldn't miss.
It was very clean inside and in the parking area so that?s great. The gentleman that helped me was great but the cashier had a hurry up attitude and wasn?t as friendly as her counterpart.
Sara and the gang down at jitters do a great job serving up the famous sunshine donuts in the morning and at lunch time they do fantastic wraps. And dont forget to try the different coffees they have too!!!!
