I've seen this bakery open late at night a couple times but never had the chance to stop in. I finally did and I'm happy I did because they have an old favorite of mine which is a peanut butter and jelly doughnut. If you never had one and you like peanut butter and jelly, you have to try it. SO so good! The donuts are delicious and have some serious weight to them because they do not skimp out on the filling. The Boston cream is the best and stuffed with delicious fresh tasting custard. I drive 20 minutes to go here but it?s well worth it. Old school bakeries are rare these days so I?m happy to support them. Also, the staff is always super friendly!

I placed an order for a gender reveal cake over the phone. The man who took my order seemed thorough but I also asked for an email address to send inspo pics. First visit I purchased a couple slices of cake and a strawberry and cream donut that tasted extremely artificial. I also purchased Italian butter cookies that were horrible. They also had an artificial taste as well as they sucked up the moisture in the store and were mushy! I tried to give them a second chance and was just as discusted as the first. A few days ago, my wife happened to come here and purchase a few pies for Thanksgiving. As she was walking into the store, she noticed mold on the pies. They are not the same as when I was younger or even the past few years. The brownies are still good. The load cakes are dry. The donuts are huge and dry as if they used too much dough a they raised too high. We?ve gone to JBs many times through the years for donuts and pastries (which are all amazing.) this year as I was getting ready to order my daughters birthday cake from a private baker my husband suggested we use JBs. His ideas are usually terrible but this one not only saved me like $100 but the cake was absolutely perfect! We will definitely be using JBs for all our future kid cakes :) huge, delicious, and just what we wanted!

The Chocolate Mousse Cake Slice was absolutely delicious; however the Chocolate Cake Slice was not that good. The buttercream was very gritty and the cake itself was dry. The Cannoli Cake Slice was not a cannoli cake at all, it was just a yellow sponge cake and some chocolate chips thrown in the frosting.

Usually have a great experience at J&D Bakery but the last visit not so much. While the bakery was busy the day before Thanksgiving the staff wasn?t very friendly - very short in their responses and didn?t seem willing to answer questions (perhaps that was just the stress of the holidays). Furthermore, I bought Sweet Potato Pie on the 22nd and by Thanksgiving evening the next day the pie was spoiled rotten (see attached picture). Hands down one of the best spots in the area. Diverse and fresh menu of all Baked goods. Chocolate frosted has a special place in my heart and will make you never want a dunkin donut again.

Took a drive from PA to check this place out; glad I did. The atmosphere is much of a mom and pop shop and the workers were very patient with my questions about each flavor and availability. I had been searching for a really good bakery with plenty of options and donuts and I finally found it! I tried the Italian wedding cake, funfetti, and cannoli, and loved all of them. Been going here off and on for years. It was really good years ago. But the last few years it?s been hit or miss. Last week bought a four piece cake sample which was not very good. Absolutely phenomenal doughnuts. I?ve driven by countless times and never set foot in this establishment until today, and all I can say is that it will definitely not be the last. I've driven past this bakery quite often to visit my partner but never had time to stop. Just moved to Beverly together and we wanted to go to a bakery. It was the perfect time to try this bakery. I keep giving them another chance, but they continue to serve raw doughnuts. literal dough that's not cooked inside...I think the doughnuts are too oversized and they aren't cooking them long enough so that they heat all the way through...disappointing.

We have ordered here every year for the past 4 years for my son, my wife and my birthday cakes. Every year when we order my sons, we tell them he has a peanut allergy and they used to say "no problem, we will make sure we clean everything thoroughly." Today when we went to order his birthday cake, we were told "the baker doesn't want that liability so we can't fulfill your order." It really is such a shame, we loved the cake they made, but had to go to another baker.

This is the second time we bought cake from them that had refrigerator smell. Not sure if they sold us 1 day old but each bite had the taste/smell of refrigerator. We took the cake for someone's birthday and hyped up the bakery just to be embarrassed later on with the quality of the cake. I don't think I will trust them going forward.

Do not rely on the bakery. I ordered special order of Vegan cupcake that they stated they could take care of. For a bridal shower. Three weeks ahead of time, I called three hours before pick up time to see if they were ready. And I was notified they could not do the vegan cupcakes.

Was told cake slices were 3.99 each and sign for cheese bread reads $6 each or 3 for 15. Guy charged 4.99 each and 7.99 for bread. He handed the receipt n moved to next customer. Won't go back. The cream in donuts was bland anyway. I'll stick with L&M in Delran NJ, MUCH BETTER, 100%.
