We ordered our wedding cake from Jarosch Bakery, and it was perfect! Not only did it look gorgeous, but it tasted amazing too. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the process, making everything smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

They did a full sheet cake for a one year old birthday party. 80 people. Cake was two layers and fresh and delicious. It was huge. More than enough for the whole party, and it was a huge hit! People were wowed by the size and decorating job. Jarosch team took plenty of time helping us plan, and they even did a custom design for our ?groovy? theme, along with a small ?smash? cake. Overall, a great job. I thank them, and highly recommend Jarosch?s for custom cakes and all bakery needs!

The bakery made our gorgeous wedding cake and as aesthetically pleasing as it turned out, the only thing better was how delicious it was! This is one of the best bakeries in Chicago. I have tried many, but this one is definitely in my top 3. I've tried different kinds of pastries, and all of them are just made and are amazing! My favorite one is the almond pecan. The almond filling is just out of this world. And the brownie is to die for.

I ordered my wedding cake from Jarosch. The process wonderful! They provided a complimentary cake to complete your tasting and the ordering process was quick and easy. We paid extra for delivery, which was worth it! Our cake was STUNNING and delicious.

I ordered a two tiered wedding cake for my wedding earlier this month. It was fantastic!! It was very reasonably priced, plus they gave us a complimentary wedding cake sample to test out flavors. My then fianc? and I were overwhelmed with all of the amount of flavors, so they offered to make us an additional sample cake for a very small fee to make it easier on us. I can't recommend them enough! Our cake was delicious, and we got so many compliments!

Jarosch Bakery is my favorite local stop for goodies. On a whim I decided to have them make my 55th birthday cake. After sharing a picture with the cake artist, she was confident that she could create what I wanted. They provided a sample cake and we settled on the filling and the pickup date. I wish I could give this establishment zero stars. I went this morning 06/14/2025 around 6:20 am and already saw a line which consisted of 20 customers. I didn't think anything of it due to its a popular place amongst locals. Once, getting in my Number was 71 : Starting number was 63 and 64 it took 25 minutes to get to number 65. I had a craving for donuts and wanted to go to a local bakery. All the staff was so kind and attentive, and I think the prices were absolutely reasonable. Half dozen donuts and a large coffee was under $13, plus they gave me some whipped cream in a cup for my dog! The donuts are fantastic (the maple one is SO GOOD, the cinnamon Pershing was outstanding). Definitely recommend!

Had Jarosch make a custom cannoli cake for my son's 32nd birthday & WOW!! IT WAS AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! Hands down the absolute best bakery in the Chicagoland area. I drive to Elk Grove Village from the city just for their delicious treats. They run out fast, so I was lucky enough to get one of their open faced peach pies today. Their cakes, pies, and doughnuts are fantastic. They also always have great customer service as well. Truly disappointed in the cake I purchased for Mom's 80th. We get coffee cake, donuts and other pastries that are always excellent. Supposed to have 2 fillings. Strawberry and pineapple preserves. Couldn't taste either as the layer of filling was not even visible. And more surprisingly. The cake was VERY dry. I will stick to cookies and strudels.

My kids love their frosted cookies so I have made the 40 minute drive two weekends in a row to find them out 2 plus hours before closing time. So clearly it?s a favorite? Why not keep them in stock and not lose money every week from the cookies and other baked goods I inevitably buy since I?m there?

Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with the staff in the back. There were no cookies and when a customer saw a tray on the side, she innocently inquired. She was treated rudely by a tall woman with glasses and when I told her not to be rude to the customer, they got rude with me. I have been coming for years. I will NEVER go back again. Your staff in the back needs to be educated how to treat people.

This was our first trip to this bakery and we WILL BE returning shortly! Quality was top notch, prices were a lot lower than we expected for such delicious and fresh items. 8/2022 5* I have loved this bakery for almost 30 years now. But it is a bit of a drive so I don't get here very often. The place has changed, the people have changed. But the quality of the baked goods and the service with a smile has only gotten better over time. The brownies were amazing and the other items I got were fantastic! There is very little wait time on Saturday afternoons. They have extra staff and are very attentive to crowds coming in. The selection of fresh bakery items was excellent. Had a slice of pizza next door for 5 bucks and went next door to Jarosch and spent 5 bucks for pastries to have with espresso coffee later.

Dec 2022: A month ago I ordered a wedding cake sample for my daughter's upcoming wedding. Jarosch's was extremely generous with providing a full cake with three different cake layers and two different fillings. We picked graham cracker cake ( best by far), wedding cake and white cake with raspberry preserves and lemon as the two fillings. Eaten as individual layers or all together it made a delicious cake! Jarosch's was willing to accommodate Sunday delivery for the wedding even though they are normal

We?re long time customers and probably not much longer. Something has changed. We ordered a couple donuts, pastries and a coffee cake. Surprisingly all were dry and flavorless. Perhaps new owners have made changes. Not much more to say except we are very disappointed.

I have been a customer for years with no issues. I pre ordered two cranberry cakes for Thanksgiving and when I arrived for pick up about 20 minutes after the the scheduled time, they were not ready and I had to wait 45 minutes for them to finish baking. Great bakery for everything from cookies, cakes, bread, donuts and coffee cakes! All made fresh daily and a huge assortment. Coffee cakes are a definite winner with us for having people over for coffee or after dinner desert. They continue to put goods out all day so you never get there too late in the day to pick something up. Our favorites are the apricot crescent and almond strip. They usually have at the very least 10 different coffee cakes to pick from! Easy in/out location and ample parking.

I worked with Jarosch to design our wedding cake as well as customized cookies for our favors, and the process was seamless! They have unique cake flavors that you won't see at other bakeries (we chose graham cracker for our cake) and they executed my vision to a tee! I ordered a cake from here for my toddler's b'day based on all the great google reviews. It looked beautiful, but I was so disappointed after tasting the cake. It was just so dry and no flavor. The icing just tasted horrible with an after taste. I'm glad I did not invite a lot of guests as it would have been so embarrassing to serve this cake. I will never be ordering from here again.

I ordered a cake for my birthday on the 3rd and it was dry and lacking flavor. My family had been loyal customers before we moved and I'm disappointed I drove over an hour to Elk Grove for this. This was the same flavor combination I had for my 16th birthday and I remember happily eating it everyday after my sweet 16.. I didn't even finish the slice I cut this time.

My family has shopped at Jarosch since they came to Elk Grove Village. The bakery was just bought by another bakery in the city. They say they are currently using all of the same recipes. However, there was a noticeable difference in what they carried. I used to have to call to order a Swedish flat, but they had it in stock on a Saturday morning. That was great. But they don't have the cookie selection they once had.

I could not have asked for a better bakery to work with on our wedding day. From the initial tasting (during COVID times) to the delivery of our cake on the wedding day. It was absolute perfection. Their butter cookies are incredible. Melt in your mouth, delicious. And if you can ration them (hard to do) they stay fresh for days!

This is the best place to get cakes from. Their cakes are always baked perfectly and they do great buttercream work. We have gotten several cakes here for family parties and would highly recommend.

This is such a wonderful little bakery. I made an online order for half a dozen assorted paczki but couldn't resist the temptation and got a graham cake slice, a strawberry tart, and a cinnamon bread on recommendation of the bakery employee who served me. Highly recommend! The prices were reasonable, staff was friendly, and the treats are beautiful.

This is my favorite bakery anywhere. It's an old school bakery and everything is great. My favorite items are their brownies, eclairs, cinnamon bread (with no raisins - thank you!) and apple slice bars, but you really can't go wrong with anything there. We've been going here for years, even after moving away from the area years ago. It's a must visit place every time we're in town.

I was so excited to get a lamb cake for Easter this year!! Purchased it yesterday and today it is completely dry and crumbly. Basically inedible and paid $36 for it. I know it?s the holidays and it?s busy but almost forty dollars for a cake and it?s going in the trash. Hopefully can get a refund.

This place is honestly the greatest, the staff is extremely friendly and warm. You really get that old-time hospitality feel the minute you walk in, it is a staple for our office and I try and pick some up every week. I grew up going to Jarosch and having their coffee cake on Sundays since I was little (in the 90's), and since my family is from Elk Grove. I still make a point of going there now every few years and I'm in my late 20's. It feels like home every time I go, and I love the memories of grabbing my number whenever I walk in.

Friendly service. Despite being a busy Saturday, I didn't feel rushed at all as they put my order together. And of course all of the pastries were wonderful. Their cinnamon raisin bread is my favorite. They also have a raisin free version for those who don't like raisins. Great as usual

We have always enjoyed cakes, coffee cakes and especially breads from Jarosch Bakery. However, we purchased a cinnamon bread yesterday and I think they forgot the cinnamon in the bread. I know everyone is cutting back but on the cinnamon in the cinnamon bread? It just doesn't have that cinnamon taste nor the look it use to have. We are disappointed in the bread.
