Jack Frost Donuts

Jack Frost Donuts

Reviews Summary

Jack Frost Donuts receives mostly positive reviews for its wide variety of creative, high-quality donuts, including gluten-free and vegan options. Many praise the soft, fresh texture and unique flavors, with some calling them the best in Cleveland. However, several reviewers criticize rising prices ($25+ per dozen) and occasional issues with freshness or smaller portions. Service is generally quick and friendly, though a few mention inconsistent experiences. While loyal customers love the nostalgic appeal, some feel quality has declined over time, making the premium pricing harder to justify. Overall, it remains a popular spot but with notable concerns about value and consistency.

Customer Reviews

They have a great assortment of various types of donuts. They have reg as well as vegan and gluten-free, sugar free and dairy free all baked! So delicious ??

Best place for donuts, accept no compromise! Was in and out in a few minutes at 6:30am, makes it easy to get a dozen and coffee for work.

Jack Frost local place. Gorgeous and delectable donuts. Pure heaven for lover of a confectioners lovers sweet tooth. They have other "healthier" options. The coffee is ok. If your looking for a inexpensive thought this isn't it. These are more boutique items. A work of gastronomical art. The maple bacon is definitely a standby. Pricing depends on the amount ordered. Not cheep but they are worth a look

Best donuts in Cleveland! They are always fresh, and have some really cool toppings. I've never had a bad product from them!

Best donuts ever !!! Soooooo gooood - worth every bit of $25

Jack Frost is phenomenal! It's a tad pricey, but that's because the quality is above all other donut places. The gluten-free donuts are pictured, and they are actually 10/10 very good. Moist, soft, dense. $4.35 ea, and you have to order a minimum of 6. Available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They might be one of the only places near parma that has gluten free donuts. Other than store bought Katz donuts. Gluten free breakfast and not depressing. Thank you Jack frost! Most excellent.!.!.!.!

Biggest cinnamon roll ever nice and soft donuts and great service, thank you

Amazing donuts!! I am a donut guy, so this was my happy place. The donuts are crispy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside. The staff was charming and genuine. I love family restaurants where you can feel the community's love. The perfect donut.

Donuts...food equals memories. One of my favorite stories from growing up was when my father would let me go on his bread route with him. He was a driver salesman for a local bread company. And every time I would ride with him we would stop at @jackfrostdonuts in Parma. Consistently rated number one or number two in Cleveland, these are by far my favorite cake donuts. Be sure to check hours and follow them on social media because they do sell out frequently. Today I picked some up for one of my clients. A

First time going to this place. There are no names anywhere, that I noticed, of the donuts so I asked for the names adding that it was my first time here. The cashier/worker named everything but truthfully seemed like me asking annoyed her. She did make up for her initial interactions with me as the visit continued though. I bought six donuts, although I was only there for one lol, because in part they looked so good. I prefer donuts with cream like icing inside, no fruit flavored inside or out. They only

Just driving by curious I stopped in to see what they had. Its a Cute little unique donut shop with alot of different specialty Donuts to choose from. I'll tell you right know it's sugar city lol. My donut was overly too sweet. But that just my opinion. I also tried a gluten free donut too, it was pretty good too, less sugar in it too. She said they put butter cream icing on there donuts, but it's more sugary than buttery to me. Coffee was nice and hot. If your up to try something different for breakfast,

Always have, and always will have the best tasting donuts around. Got to try Steve's newest experimental chocolate Italian soda, which was fantastic. Tried it again with some cream tho, still good, but better without I thought. Definitely willing to experiment again tho.

The girls this morning helped my pick out what do nuts to get, and so excited to bring them into the office.

Omg omg best place every customer service is amazing u have no idea how happy I am the older gentleman this wed Jan 22 was amazing he has amazing customer service skills someone give this guy a raise

I haven?t been here in a while because I?m not up around there anymore but told my grandson I was taking him for the best donuts ever! Boy we?re they a big disappointment. I paid $25 for a dozen dry and stale donuts. I couldn?t believe it! I have always loved this place and didn?t even mind paying the price for them because they were so worth it. I can go to Giant Eagle any time of day and get fresher ones. Not ever going back!

The girls working there are sweet. Had no idea what the donuts were so she had to describe each one. But no worries because I won?t be back, they taste bad.

Well I don?t understand the rating of this place because these donuts are very sweet and dense. the glazed donut are o.k. The sour creams are super heavy and just bad flavor all around. The French cruller we're super sweet. I do see many flavors but only the employees know the names? The store is very small and parking is difficult to get. All around, is average and nothing amazingly flavored or a unique to be floored. I will pass this place and continue to the place in Brunswick.

These are some of the BEST donuts in Cleveland, located in Old Brooklyn Neighborhood. Their donuts are made from scratch and very rich flavors. Easy parking.

I?ve gotten these donuts my whole life. They used to be such a great treat years ago. Now the varieties are so over the top & loaded with so much frosting, sugar and candy. The only kind I can handle are a couple of the basic variety when they even have those available. I stop by periodically mid-morning and normally they are sold out of most varieties already before 10am. Additionally, I know prices have escalated in recent years, but the cost of them is outrageous now. $3+ for one of the basic donuts is a

I went there at 11a and paid $3.15 per donut. I picked out my 2 childhood favorites. I came home so excited, but instantly disappointed. Both of my donuts were hard on the outside. They tasted like yesterday's leftovers. Not acceptable at those prices.

Delicious donuts! One of the best cake donuts I?ve ever had. Lots of variety and kind workers. Not the biggest donuts ever but the make up for it in flavor. Obviously, we enjoyed them because my husband and I ate half before I remembered to take a picture! We tried the fruity pebbles and the chocolate peanut butter.

We went in this morning for halloween donuts and Jack Frost did not disappoint. Donuts were fresh and delicious my kids loved the halloween decorations.

This is hands down the best donut in the Midwest and up and down the east coast! I"ve lived in OH, KY, PA, MD, VA, NC/SC, FL and have visted all the states in between and this place is the best!!! I HIGHLY recommend Jack Frost!! You will not be disappointed (=

Excellent donuts! Always great. Very expensive but worth the money.

I bought a dozen donuts this morning and I thought they were just ok.. some tasted like they were from yesterday. Probably wouldn't go back!

When I first moved to Cleveland in 2016, a dozen donuts was $12.95. Since then I have watched the prices rise steadily to $15.95, then $18.95, and now to $25.95 a dozen. They're good donuts, and I recognize that things have gotten more expensive, but that kind of increase is unreasonable. I doubt I'll be back again, at least not as frequently as I used to be.

If you haven?t tried these donuts in Cleveland or at the zoo, you need to!!! They are soooooo good- have vegan and gluten free options! Everything is from scratch? Amazing business ?? ?? ??

Now that?s what I like to call donuts!!! They were delicious and really satisfied my sweet tooth ?? The chocolate donuts were pretty dry unfortunately. Donuts were pretty good but were they worth $25 a dozen?? Probably not

I have for years now told all who would listen that Jack Frost has the best donuts anywhere. I am well traveled and have enjoyed donuts coast to coast and in other countries and this still holds true. The best! But now, they have added cinnamon rolls that are as big as your head! The best somehow just got better!

Delicious donuts. You must stop if ever in the Cleveland area. Get there earlier in the day though. Don't order more than one apple fritter-HUGE!!

Absolutely the very best donuts I?ve ever had. Huge variety of very creative and pretty donuts! Most are cake batter which I love and they are super moist! I ate them too quick before snapping a photo.

This is very unique and lovable little donut shop. I'd say they have over 50 varieties of donuts to choose from each day, and they switch things up periodically. The yeast donuts are very fluffy with a good amount of thickness; the cake donuts have a pretty good, moist texture. They have the basics, but they also have some over-the-top donuts with thick layers of icing and creative topping combinations. I'd definitely say that Jack Frost is one of the better donut shops in the Cleveland area (having tried m

Over priced & sold by those who could care less about your business; say anything less than praise & they will delete your remarks and block you on social media. I was a loyal customer for years, but never again

The Service was amazing, they where nice and Very patient. They made excellent suggestions. The donuts are on a whole new level of good and the flavors are not what you usually expect form a donut shop but you make it work. If you have a sweet tooth this is the place for you. Thank you for the amazing service. I definitely will be back again!!

Wow. Epic donuts! Great selection and great prices! Staff was very friendly too and had good suggestions.

The best cake donuts in Cleveland. Crispy outside, super soft inside, so many good flavors: basics to elaborate. The icing is perfect.

Very pleased with our experience at Jack frost, this was our first time. The employees were all very informative, and willing to help. They did not make us feel rushed and made sure we were confident of our choices. The presentation was amazing; we were overwhelmed with the mouthwatering choices on display. They are soft, fresh, and all amazing that we have tried. Just give them a try, you will not be let down!

I?ve visited Jack Frost over the years and their donuts are always fresh. I travel 11 miles to get their donuts, sometimes they don?t have my favorite and that?s a good thing! If their donuts weren?t good they wouldn?t sell out!! I don?t like writing reviews but I?m tired of all the bad comments and 1 star reviews? I guess the individuals that get up early to make the donuts and the wonderful workers should work for free right? They have ?COSTS? to operate and what they charge allows them to continue to do

First time here did not disappoint! Pretty crowded on a Sunday morning but service was super quick and efficient plus friendly staff. So many options to pick from

My boyfriend who is severely allergic to tree nuts told the lady at the counter he was allergic, the lady didn't say anything about the dount he ordered nor do they have allergens listed anywhere. Only for him to find out they use almost exclusively almond flour. The store should at least have allergens listed visibly, they could kill people who have food allergies.

This place has went downhill, the donuts never taste fresh anymore. Used to be my favorite go to spot because of the consistency, but the quality just isn't there anymore. I'm sorry, I've given it multiple tries and show up first thing in the morning but they are either stale or my favorite donut the "sour cream" is never and I mean never in stock even being there by 7am. I reached out and they said the donuts change daily but I tried coming multiple times/different days for over a month and it's never in

Love, love, love their donuts! I always overindulge when I go. Go in for 3 and leave with 12. And we cut them in half so you can share all the flavors.

One of my favorite donut shops in the Cleveland area. Donuts are on the smaller side, but they are delicious. They offer a wide variety of flavors- raspberry cheesecake, s'more, butterfinger, fruity pebbles, French toast, and more! 2 of my favorites are the maple bacon and the blueberry cheesecake. You can pre-order online too. Definitely recommend!

Amazing donuts! We went there on a Saturday morning so it was rather busy, but they had everything we wanted and they fulfilled orders very quickly. Staff was very nice and helpful when I kept asking what was in the donuts I was interested in. Everything was delicious.

A lot of fun. Not going to be my usual stop because it's way out of the way for me, but the locals tout it as "making it worth a trip to Cleveland". Locals absolutely love this place.

This is my Favorite Donut place in the Cleveland area I?ve been eating donuts here since I was a kid call every time I?m in the area I stop and get donuts I love this place brings me back to my childhood

Bought 1/2 dozen for $15.75. Two maple bacon, 2 almond joy, 2 Samoa, got home to try them and not the freshest donuts, probably sat out all day. The almond joy flavor was non existent, Samoa would have been good if it were fresh and the maple bacon well the bacon bits were salty and greasy. These honestly were the worst donuts.. I have always been a fan of Jack Frost Doniuts, but not anymore! Will not be going back over the quality and price. Service mediocre, I guess she had to be there on a Saturday a

If you visit Cleveland, you must stop at Jack Frost. I?m far from a donut aficionado. In fact, I rarely consume them. However, these are the best! And, you can order for local delivery! Rich, fresh and delicious!

I tried Jack Frost donuts a while back ago and fell in love with them. ????

I bought 3 donuts in total 2 glazed twist, and 1 cake, I thought the total was $5.45 but to my surprise the total was $9.45 and they weren't that good, Jack frost 6 years ago had the biggest and delicious glazed donuts, but all the regular donuts are small and they don't taste the same. This was my last time, I won't go back.

My husband stopped here on the way back from a Business Trip. We rarely eat donuts, especially not cake ones. But the Chocolate Iced Peanut Butter Cream was so moist and delicious. Absolutely the BEST Cake donut I've ever had! Can't wait to try the Boston Cream tomorrow.

I heard these were the best donuts in Cleveland. They most certainly are not, and the prices are almost comical. $3 for a single plain donut. $16 for HALF a dozen. $7 for an apple fritter! They are ok, but nothing particularly different or remarkable about them, and definitely not good enough to be double to triple the price of every other donut shop. Just cashing in on local reputation at this point. Do yourself a favor and go down the road to Royal Donuts instead.

Great donut place! Staff was very helpful, large selection of donuts. If in Cleveland Area it's a must stop.

After over multiple generations of supporting this business, it has come to an end. $6.25 for a single packing. Wow inflammatory prices. What a shame

i love their wide variety of options and they even has gluten free and vegan donuts. Reasonably priced, love seeing them at the market sometimes too. 10/10 would recommend

I'm not a huge donut fan but they had a lot of options and tasty just be prepared to eat straight up sugar - friendly staff and interesting flavors

For their stand at the Cleveland Zoo, do NOT risk $8-13 on a drink, just get a donut! -protein shakes are powder snd water for $12.50 -got a chai instead and it was the black chai liquid, not how its even supposed to look. The two working were not too pleasant and hesitant to replace my watery protein shake. Donut holes were pretty good!

So I?m originally from Cleveland but was married Indianapolis. I knew I had to have Jack Frost as our dessert. My aunt picked them up on Thursday for a Friday wedding. Not only did they survive the trip but the were an absolute hit!! Everyone was going crazy for them. Our venue even posted them on social media. They were perfect!

Use to be the best place to buy donuts. I remember back in the day when they turned their red sign on, the glazed donuts were hot and fresh. They were the best. Melt in your mouth good. Moved away and haven't been there in at least 20 years. $15.75 for half a dozen of stale donuts. Was there at 10:30 am should have been fresh. I miss the old Jack Frost. Will never go back. At least I have the memories of when they were great.

So....I actually visited the one at the Zoo and it was pretty yummy. And, the guy at the counter gave great recommendations....we grabbed all his favs and they were awesome!

Very nice person working this morning and very informative. Get there early for the freshest donuts.

I truly appreciate the service my the year old son and I recieved today. He has an egg allergy and they offer vegan donuts(which is awesome) but none of them had sprinkles on them. The woman working(I wish I had gotten her name) checked the sprinkles and added them to one of the vegan donuts. My son was so excited! Thank you for being so accommodating and making his day. Also, the donuts were fantastic!

I haven?t had a Jack Frost donut in such a long time and I can tell everybody out there who loves their sweets but these donuts are unique. They do make them a heck of a lot different than other places. Do I like their design I like their taste I love buttercream, so they can just put a ton more butter cream on and I love it just the same! I commend those little bakers over there I believe that this is a family run business? But I know that they take pride in what they do and how they decorate and I have to

They have the best donuts around, with a friendly staff. I picked these up just a few minutes ago.

Not sure what has happened to the quality over the last few years? At $26 for a dozen, I'd expect them to be better than they were 5/10 yrs ago. Sadly, it seems that the social media hype, remodeling and satellite locations have really put less emphasis on the quality. It seems they have been cheapened by the owners on the ingredient side or the care put into making them. And at $3.35 for a basic donut is outrageous, when I can go to Dunkin and get the same quality for $1.35. Unfortunately, I think my favor

I stopped in earlier today for a doughnut. I can't remember the last time I had one. I had a Halloween themed one and it was great. I highly recommend the place!

I've tried all the known donut shops in a 40 mile radius of Cleveland and Jack Frost is definitively the best.

Operating hour is until 8pm, but they always run out of donut at 3pm and hung up a sign that says sold out. What kind of business have this terrible operating schedule? Can't make enough donut to last until 8pm? Then change operating hour to close at 4pm.

Jack Frost Donuts go without saying.... the most phenomenal donuts you will ever eat. There is not one single donut on their menu I do not enjoy. They are all so unique and very fresh each day. They have so many fun flavors and they are totally worth the price. My partner and I had Jack Frost cater the dessert at our wedding and they did not disappoint. They baked and packaged all of the donuts fresh the day of our wedding and had them all done on time. They were all beautiful and tasty as always! Definitel

I used to love going here and have been more times than I can count over the years. Sadly, I was just there this past Sunday (10/2) and was caught off guard by how much the prices have gone up, $26 for a dozen donuts is ridiculous ($15 for half dozen). Even worse, when I got home to eat them you can tell they are definitely much smaller than they used to be and the quality seems to have declined, as well. I have no problem paying a little more for good food, but you have to make it worth the price. I think

We were impressed by everything. The store was immaculate, the staff was friendly and most of all the donuts are exceptional. We had the good fortune to meet Fred who is the owner and he gave us a sample of some of the donut holes. We had a great conversation with Fred and he is an amazing guy who we won't soon forget. We ended up taking a dozen donuts home. They really are the best donuts we've ever tasted. If you're ever in the area you really should try some for yourself.

beautiful donuts for Mother's Day, flowers. We all got a sugar rush, just wish they had more flavor.

BEAUTIFUL AND FRESH!! Stopped in today on a whim, heading for dads house. Just gonna get a 1/2doz but they looked so good I went for it and got the full doz.. and I'm so glad I did!!! They were BEAUTIFUL AND FRESH!! Shared with dad and later my co workers. Phenomenal!! I'll get doughnuts for our next family gathering, FUN!!

This was a great experience for starters. The ladies inside were very friendly and patient with my 4 yearmold niece and I. I loved the selection of donuts that were available and they even had cake pops for her little brother. The donuts were made really well too! Very delicate looking and tasted just as grand! I will definitely come back to this location should I be in the area.

I was a fan of Jack Frost donuts over the years, but went in recently to buy 18 donuts for the co-workers. Picked 18 donuts that were adorned with what I would consider a light amount of frosting/sprinkles. When I checked out the total was $40!!!! Sorry, $2.25 a donut is a bit ridiculous. Unfortunately I'll be patronizing my local donut shop in the future.

$3.15 for a doughnut? They have really cool seasonal doughnuts. Very impressive aestically, but you want more than $15 for 6 glaze doughnuts? I get inflation, but yesh. I feel the quality of the doughnut seems to of gone down as well. Think my last batch just wasn't very fresh Sad to see a real Old Brooklyn institution slip from awesome, to over priced and just all right. I mean brewnuts asks for $3+ for a doughnut, but they are huge. Think I'm just gonna have to make the drive going forward. :(

We used Jack Frost Donuts as a second dessert for our wedding, and we are so happy we did! Traci was extremely helpful to work with, and she made the whole process so easy. All of the donuts were amazing!

Great donuts! This place does have the soft, springy and chewy yeast-raised donuts I absolutely adore. Their cake donuts are also soft, moist and flavorful. I think their donut holes are probably my favorite thing there. Best donuts in Cleveland, so far!

Super fresh. Remarkable variety. Great service. Proves that some great Cleveland businesses can maintain impeccable standards generation to generation. Well done.

Very disappointed, glazed donuts seemed stale, raised donuts were dense and hard. Was there at 9am so I don't believe they were day old donuts. Fried donuts were fresher and softer. I remember when JF was on Broadway in Cleveland years ago, they're quality has definitely slipped. Used to buy a lot from them saddened by this, looked forward to getting a dozen from them my kids loved them. Not worth the price sorry to say. Probably will not be going back.

Absolutely wonderful customer service, all the donuts looked so delicious, they are so fresh :)

These are the best donuts in Cleveland. There are so many unique varieties that cannot be found in any other place in Cleveland. Even the ordinary varieties are delicious. They even have biscuits for dogs.

Grew up with Jack Frost being my favorite donut so had a craving when I was back in town for the holiday after many years. Wow, what a DISAPPOINTMENT! They used to be freshly made and SO soft, and now they taste STALE and HARD! It was such a let down!! Seems they tried to become designer donuts vs. the old days, but instead they need to go back to the basics of delivering fresh and delicious. I used to be the biggest fan but sadly I will NEVER go back, and at $25/dozen I recommend you spend hard earned

Amazing donuts. Great service. Loved the Cherry cheesecake and banana pudding donuts.

Disappointment. Wanted to make donuts at home today but ended up going to Jack Frost, just to avoid spending too much time and home-made taste. The donut tasted like the mini-donuts from Sheetz: not soft, fake sugar glaze and cream for $3 per unit ?? The owner probably compensates the lack of the clients with cheapest ingredients he/she can find. Don?t go there.

Came in earlier after the gym been losing weight and gotta remember that all things in moderation haha ?? I got a dozen donuts today and they are just as delicious as I remember I kept 3 for myself and brought the rest into work and they were gone fast lol ?? still got 2 peanut butter ones left my favorite. The strawberry cream was pretty good ??

Delicious! Voted best Donuts in NE Ohio for a reason. Unique and delicious. The remodel is fantastic as well. Being a marketing graduate, I really appreciate their new branding as well. Very nice refresh; doesn't look dated or too contemporary. Beautifully done. Next year is their 80th anniversary, if I'm not mistaken! *Be advised that is possible that they will close early if donuts are sold out.

Every year I get 3 - 4 dozen donuts around Christmas for work. Been doing that for almost a decade. Always been great, but very disappointed this year. The donuts are about 25% smaller than they used to be and some looked sloppier than Dunkin? yet the price has gone up. Sadly the last year I will be doing this. Not worth it. In the past they have always laid them on the counter to show them before I leave, but they did not do it this time. No wonder.
