I really want to give my full support to a local/iconic establishment, but since their reopening, everything I've tried has tasted odd. For instance, on my most recent visit I bought a brownie, canoli and some peanut butter cookies. The canoli tasted great but the brownie and cookies tasted very bitter, much like baking soda. I loved ideal bakery but then it got a new owner and person who bakes. If you know the ideal bakery then you know the smell that hits you when you open the door. I was very disappointed that the smell was gone and i also that cake was to hard and the icing tasted store bought.

I'm not sure if today was a off day but it was horrible experience there was only a few things to choose from cookies ,dougnuts and cupcakes . We got a half a dozen cookies butter cookies, peanut butter and red velvet and oatmeal rasin .The butter cookies were soggy and undercooked. The peanut butter was dry and crumbled apart . The red velvet had a horrible taste of food coloring. And the oatmeal raisin was really greesy but otherwise the best one . (The only edible one) . We won't be going back unfortun

Ideal has been making the town's birthday cakes, baby shower cakes, wedding cakes, graduation cakes...etc. Located on South Main St, since I was child, in Cedartown just a block or 2 from the welcome center and the silver comet trail. Stop in and see what the locals ?? LOVE about Ideal bakery...grab a sweet treat for your valentine!
