I was scrolling Yelp looking for a good local donut place to pick up some donuts for my coworkers when I came across Howdy Donuts - turned out to be a great choice! I went in around 8:00am, and you could tell they'd already been hit by the morning crowd, but the girl working assured me she was working on more batches in the back! I told her to give me 2 dozen variety of her favorite ones and she gave me quite the assortment - chocolate cake glazed, both chocolate and strawberry sprinkles, red velvet cake, p
Made to order breakfast tacos was a pleasant surprise. Very tasty with a warm fresh tortilla. (most other places pre make their breakfast tacos causing the tortillas to get soggy) The atmosphere was very clean and organized. I will definitely be back.
I've been here three times now. I usually order a donut or two, iced chai, and a croissant or kolache. Food is great. Iced chai is ok. Kinda pricey. You can definitely tell who they cater to (I.e. not working people like myself). Service is usually slow and today set the tone for any future visits, meaning I won't be visiting again. Arrived 945a, was there until close to 10. Got most of the food relatively quickly; the croissant for some reason took longer than expected. I was waiting watching about 4 to 6
I can't speak to the donuts, as I only got coffee. But the coffee was not great at all. Why can I not find a good drip coffe. Great service, Small little location, And I really want small mom and pop places like this to thrive, But come on get your coffee together.

Stopped by early in the morning to grab some donuts for my family- These donuts were light and fluffy. I?ve never had a donut that was of this much quality. Their cake donuts are probably the best I?ve had? most places have cake donuts that a rock hard. These ones were soft and lived up to the name. I really recommend this place. Maybe next time I?ll try their lattes! Definitely recommend and I will be back again!!
Donuts are horrible here. I?ve try this place more then once. Has no flavor no color. Too pricey, unfortunately there better places around.

BEST donuts! Howdy Donut is a tier above ANY other local (or chain) donut shop in the area. You can tell they use high quality ingredients and actually care about their donuts tasting good and fresh! They melt in your mouth and have great flavor. At first I was a little surprised because they're a little smaller than other donuts, but they are so delicious that the size is actually perfect! Their kolaches are also some of the best I have had in a long time. I'm so glad they are close by! I can't say enough
My family?s go-to donut spot in the Steiner area! They are so yummy and stand up to some of the other ?best? known Austin donut spots (and I?m born and raised in ATX). I'm not usually a donut person but these are hands down the best donuts I have ever had. The original glazed are so soft and fluffy and they have the perfect amount of glaze. Fun selection of kids' donuts and amazing breakfast tacos too!
Our favorite donut store in the area! We've tried them all and these are the best! And the staff was very nice - even gave my daughter a blueberry donut hole to have while they were ordering. Their donuts taste like real donuts, melt in your mouth, and are delicious! And they were cooked perfectly! And they had a great selection!
Their freshness & quality/ taste is unmatched . Their donut holes melt in your mouth, love the reg & blueberry. I was surprised how much I also loved their tacos! The chorizo with egg, bean, & cheese is fantastic! Oh and the ladies who run the front are as sweet as pie.

I don?t typically write reviews unless I?m either extremely disappointed or impressed with an establishment.. but I had to because this place is 10/10! I got a kolache, 2 doughnuts, a dozen donut holes, and a coffee. First things first- that kolache was AMAZING. Best one I?ve ever had. The doughnuts were great, but those donut holes were just perfection. I even shared some with some friends and without saying anything, they said ?these are the best donut holes I?ve ever had?. I am so impressed and will 100%
Great donuts. We have had the yeast and cake and both are great. Yeast ones melt in your mouth and the cake ones are moist. Even better is that these donuts are DAIRY FREE. Both of my kids can not eat dairy so it is so good to find a place on the North side of Austin that has dairy free donuts and they are good. They do close early when they run out of donuts, so go early.
Some of the best donuts we've had in a LONG time. Very fresh and melt in your mouth. TWO WARNINGS THOUGH.... First, they are VERY ADDICTING! :) Second, if you go on a weekend, go early for they sell out fairly quickly. :P
It's my favorite little donut shop. I get 3 dozen from them once a month for work. I call it in pay over the phone and they have them ready to go for me every time. Good coffee as well.
I swung by just before 8 on Wednesday. Absolutely the best donuts and holes I've had. I typically like Krispy Kream, although they're insanely sweet. Howdy Donuts aren't too sweet at all. They're super light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweet. I also tried a complementary blueberry cake donut hole that wasn't to heavy, but actually perfect. Well worth trying! You won't be disappointed. I'll be back to try again.
Cinnamon roll, kolache, and donut holes = five stars, all delicious They were out of iced mochas but didn?t tell me until after I paid so I ended up getting an iced chai which was okay. I wish they knew they were out of the mocha before I paid as I wouldn?t have gotten anything to drink. We went on a Saturday morning so they were really busy and a bit disorganized. Overall would go again!
We tried the new donut place this morning and it was delicious. My wife had a glazed donut with sprinkles and a kolache. I had a kolache with some donut holes. Everything was very delicious and the guy helping us was very friendly. We will definitely be back to try some of their other donuts. Lokes like they also have coffee which we didn't try this time but we will next visit.
Donuts are very good. I'd say a blend of Krispy Kreme and what I would call a "normal" donut. Melts in your mouth, but didn't feel like it's just sugar. Assortment is okay. Service is okay. Place is clean, very new location so you would expect that. Not a big place, just grab and go. Getting in and out of the shopping center isn't great certain times of the day.
The kolaches and donuts are all solid. The service is always prompt and the donuts are tasty. We stop by every couple week for a morning treat for the kids

Got the jalape?o bacon cheese croissant, and it was loaded with jalape?os, way too many, and the donuts were meh. Not coming back, everything we ordered was ok, but not great.
Good donuts but nothing exceptional. I have a one year old and wouldn't come back. They don't have high chairs or plastic utensils of any kind to cut her food down to sizes she can eat (she's a kolache fan but I don't want her to choke on the sausages). They are new so hopefully they can work out the kinks. We're still Shipley's fans for now though.

Love this place. I want to comment on the person that said the staff was not friendly. Most Koreans are very hard working people and very focused. They were probably little stressed with the new business. They are very kind and friendly.
I could hear a women there mistreating the worker in the back in Korean language. I felt upset and walked out.
My long john came with no filling, over charged from the prices on their menu, $2 for a $1.50 donut for each one. $9 for 2 donuts, donutholes and a potato and cheese taco

I just watched the employee lock the door as a little girl was walking up to come in to purchase a donut. The little girl just looked back at her dad in shock. Heck? I?m in shock too! It literally just turned 1:00 ( which is there closing time).
