Man I give this spot a 10 out of 10! Got the donut BLT, which was really good, I'll probably prefer the bacon egg and cheese donut sandwich next time. Also got eggs with corn beef hash which was amazing! Eggs were cooked perfectly. Their donuts are fresh and good too. Def worth a try
We went on a Saturday morning and the donut counter was Really Busy! We were able to seat ourselves right away and had service within just a few minutes. The coffee was great!! I ordered the French Toast and my husband got the burrito, smothered in sausage gravy. My french toast was good, but a little doughy. I like mine a little more done. My husband said the burrito and gravy were good. He also ordered a side of homefries and for the price, he definitely didn't get a large enough portion. He said they w
This is a great donut shop and diner. First, the donuts are great. The food they serve is not fancy, just your neighbor diner style. The omelets are great. I highly recommend this neighborhood treasure for both donuts and meals.
We really enjoyed our food! I was impressed with how yummy my omelette was for the price. And we took home some veryyyy delicious donuts. We were joking how glad we were to only have gotten one each since we probably would have inhaled the rest of them on the spot. Very crowded/cramped/a little dirty, but all part of the charm. And we went on a Saturday morning so I can't complain about it being busy, haha. Definitely would recommend to anyone.
HoneyDip is one of my favorite places in Columbus. It is reasonably priced, good food, great staff, a lovely little diner atmosphere, and the best donuts. We served their donuts at our wedding! It is a small diner, so be prepared for a wait during busy times. But well worth it.
A great place to get an old-school cake-type donut. Not a lot of places do more than glazed these days, and it's nice to have a high quality cinnamon or coconut cake donut. Great coffee too, and fun for those who appreciate an old fashioned diner.
This place is cute. Has the little diner feel to it. We got some donuts to go. The donuts were pretty good. There is plenty of parking, but my concern would be the space inside. It?s not a large building. Limited seating, I can see there being a wait if it?s a busy day. Overall great experience
Great experience here! The staff is friendly and efficient. The food was great. Highly recommend this place if you like an old style diner. My order came quickly and there were many regulars who knew the staff and vice versa. Nice atmosphere!
Great old school dinner feel. Good prices and great breakfast
If I could give 0 stars I would. Honey dip donuts does not seem to like African American people. Myself, my three year old son and my husband walked into the diner and asked if we seated ourselves as it was our first time there. The waitress we asked did not even acknowledge us or respond. We sat at a table for over 10 minutes waiting to be served and no one came. We finally got up and got into our car. We sat for a second and watched a white couple sit at the exact same table we sat at and were acknowledge
A great breakfast diner experience with great old school (traditional) donuts. The staff is always efficient and charming. Lots of regulars and a great value. One of my favorite morning treats in UA.
Parking can be hard to find if you get there during busier times. Service is incredible!! Great food. Donuts are perfection! Highly recommend ??
Picked up a dozen doughnuts to take to a meeting and was impressed with the doughnut selection and speedy service getting the doughnuts for takeout. The doughnuts were great! I'll have to come back someday and try their breakfast.
I had the coney & onion rings, my wife had an omelet and pancake. We were surprised the coffee wasn't better. We bought donuts to-go for dessert. Five stars for the waitress, three stars for the donuts, two stars for the food. Overall, it was OK, but pricey. There was nothing noteworthy to inspire a return trip.
First time in, just grabbed donuts. They were excellent, little pricey. It felt odd that there was no price drop per donuts when buying a dozen. Really good donuts, though. The dough is light and yeasty, and they aren't overly sweet. We're excited to go eat at the diner next time.
Very busy diner on a Saturday morning but we went in for just doughnuts. The food looked amazing! A little bit of a wait for service but was to be expected. I really liked the maple iced and jelly filled doughnuts! Highly recommend, next time I will have to dine in and try more out!
Food is fantastic! Staff are great. But be prepared for an extremely crowded eating area. Not really any fault of the establishment, more on the patrons than anything. But overall recommend for a local eating experience.
Great food and even better service. The ladies in there make the restaurant thrive. If you want good donuts and great diner food, you have to make a stop here atleast once!
The Donuts were very good. The Long John cream filled with the cream on top is one of the best I ever had. The glazed and chocolate covered were very good as well. Next time, I am going to try the biscuits and gravy.
Great place. Excellent pancakes and food overall. The server was great, we went on a Sunday and it is a small building so it was a little busy, however they remained very friendly and attentive. An adorable hidden gem.
Delicious and wonderful. Very small seating area so consider yourself lucky if you get a seat
Very busy place, so you know it's good! Love their donuts. Very cute old school diner style restraunt. Great customer service for being so busy too. Definitely recommend stopping here if your in the area.
Amazing place. Can't believe It took me so long to finally try it. So glad I did! Everything I had was phenomenal. The chocolate chip pancake was delicious and it's huge for only $3. The service was great too. The wait was short about 5 minutes when I walked in. However, it was probably 20 minutes by the time I left. Prices are extremely reasonable. I got an entire classic breakfast plate with egg sausage, home fries and toast for only 10 bucks. The total for everything including the pancake was only $13.
Great doughnuts, greatprice awesome place.i really want to go back for the diner ,the corned beef hash looked great
Loved it. The breakfast burrito and long john donuts were the best I've had. I'd definitely go back.
Best donuts in town. Also has great breakfast. Classic old school diner atmosphere.
My wife and I really enjoyed eating there. It's a simple diner with good food. I had biscuits and gravy and my wife had an omelette. The service was great too. Make sure you try some of their donuts. ????
New to Columbus and heard Honey Dip had the best pancakes in town. Ordered 2 pcakes, 2 eggs over easy and 2 sausage patties for $9.29. Everything was cooked perfectly, especially the o/e eggs. Staff and Mgr were very attentive and nice. Nice size pancakes too, but not really anything taste-wise that I'd call memorable.
Beware their website says they close at 2:30 but I called and lady said they close at 2 and kitchen is closed. Wish I could?ve tried since I drove all the way here but they don?t have correct opening hours listed so keep that in mind.
This is a nice local diner with a friendly staff and constant supply of donuts. They don't serve up anything fancy, just the basics done well. The donuts are a little hit or miss; I've really enjoyed a devil's food cake donut, but also been underwhelmed by their risen donuts. If you're searching for breakfast, you can't go wrong with their pancakes. They almost taste like they have a hint of donut in them! Nothing amazing, but you'll find pretty solid diner fare at HoneyDip.
Best brunch in Columbus for sure. Staff were nice and food was amazing. We had breakfast burrito and also made our own omelet and the taste was great, my son got a blueberry pancake and he enjoyed it too. Will definitely come back.
Fav of ours, ate there sunday for breakfast @ lunchtime 2 eggs, potatoes, ham, & dry rye Lots of folks there getting donuts, too
First Timer! Doughnuts were so good!!! I ordered a chicken salad also amazing and my son got eggs potatoes and sausage will be coming back
Rude service from the girl server. Prices are outrageous for the amount of food. Paid 2.49 for fries and got less than a handful. Won't be back
I?ve only been thrice but I love everything about this unpretentious greasy spoon breakfast place with a really good BLT lunch sandwich. Sit at the counter for an old school feel.
Excellent breakfast spot! Really enjoyed the pancakes they have and the biscuits and gravy were solid. Coffee was flowing as well, always a good problem to have. Gotta go back for some donuts!
Expect a wait at the door because everyone in the neighborhood comes here, if not for breakfast, the line to order fresh donuts! The service is great and the food comes pretty quickly. Friendly place with good comfort food.
This little spot is a perfect breakfast meetup. Their food is delicious, their staff is friendly, and the service is extremely fast! With 8 people, during a busy time, we were in and out in 30-40 minutes! Breakfast is great of course, but you can?t go to Honey Dip and not grab a donut at least to go! By far, the best donuts and coolest variety around! Thank you for a great time!
Good donuts. Nothing special. Great staff and cool donut shop feel.
Went here the other morning for breakfast and it was great! Classic diner food and very reasonably priced. We also got donuts to go. I have a tree nut allergy and usually avoid baked goods like donuts, but I asked our server and she said none of their donuts contained nuts. I felt safe trying them and was glad I did! Will definitely return.
Food always fantastic! Just make sure to go early, long waits at times
Love how every customer, new or regulars, is treated like family. Food was prepared quickly, and the portions were great for the price.
Typical cheap diner fare and atmosphere, I was very disappointed my friend and I got kicked out to make room for more guests. They were busy yes, but it felt very unprofessional to ask us to leave. The same manager also made a family of 4 move to make room for an 8 top, and when one of the waitresses didn't immediately understand what he was doing, he yelled at her in the middle of the dining area. Weird. Awkward. Uncomfortable. Unprofessional.
The food here was absolutely amazing. The donut breakfast sandwich hit the spot perfectly. The food came out hot and fast. I couldn?t put my sandwich down. Highly recommend for a quick and delicious breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful, I wish we had something like this where we live. Definitely check it out!
Pretty good donuts, definitely better than chains like Dunkin? by a good amount!
This diner is one of my favorite places to eat in Columbus. For the three years since moving to Columbus, the Honey Dip is where I spent a majority of my Saturday mornings with my grandfather. As he would say, "Honey Dip's breakfast is pretty hard to beat." He was a fan of three eggs, over medium, wheat toast, not too many potatoes." I'd flip between the breakfast burrito or the patty melt with fries, sometimes getting one of their delicious donuts for dessert to take home. We took this photo (with my broth
The best kind of local diner! Thanks for a great meal
You go here for first breakfast, aka donuts. The donuts are so fresh and delicious. The flavor is so good, and the texture is soft and almost melts in your mouth they're so good. The service staff are consistent and all seem to work together very well too, which I love. I love that there are so many familiar faces when you go here. The staff, the regulars -- getting their usual. Personal fave is the Boston cream donut. But everyone I know has a different favorite of their own. Not sure if they're known fo
Pretty good breakfast. Donuts are good too. Great old timey atmosphere.
One of our favorite places to eat. I love the hash breakfast with eggs sunny side up and sourdough toast and a cup of coffee.
You can tell this place is a neighborhood icon. But it was too busy and not enough organization to help. The people coming in didn't know which way to go or what even to do to get a table. The locals kept cutting in line. Overall, would like to go back but maybe on a less busy day
First time here. They were busy and packed, but we were seated and served quickly. The atmosphere reminded us of favorites back home. And the doughnuts were a nice treat to take home after our dine in breakfast! Will be going back and recommending to others!
Every time we are in Columbus, we stop in here. The breakfast is ALWAYS good and the donuts.... are. excellent!!! The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is city diner, with many pictures of past patrons on the walls. Definitely worth the visit.
Classic diner feel, nice people and solid donuts. We will be back for sure.
Love our little diner. Great food, kind and attentive staff, lots of regulars. Basic food options done well. Save room for a maple stick donut. You'll wait on weekends. Be kind and turn the tables over quickly.
Great place to share a cup of coffee and a donut with friends. Or have breakfast or lunch. Just go and see why everyone feels so welcome.
The only bad thing about this place is that it?s not in my house so I can go there everyday. Pancakes? Yummy. Patty melt? Scrumptious. BLT? Like my momma makes. Yummo yum yum in my tum tum
Good donuts early, but I've had some that maybe sat a little too long. It kinda feels like a combo business as there's a constant flow of folks just stopping in for donuts while I'm there for classic diner food. The diner food is as expected. Good value, and will fill you up. Vibe fits the experience.
The donuts are fantastic! The service, not so much. After my daughter and stood there and waited for a couple of minutes with being acknowledged, it felt as though we were putting them out to order donuts. It was the first time we?d went there. Not a good first impression. I tried to going back a couple of different occasions but it was closed each time.
The foods just what I enjoy and everyone there just awesome
Always amazing donuts but there is one older man that just needs to not be there if he is so unhappy. I have never been in there where he was pleasant. Always rude
THE BEST PANCAKES I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! The pancakes are traditional and simple but phenomenal!! They have a great selection of donuts and often sellout (the vanilla cream filled donuts and apple fritter are our favorites). Sadly we haven?t made it much further into their menu because I cannot resist their pancakes. Their staff is very welcoming and every time I?m in there I see them recognizing people by name and asking about their family. Love this place!
After a recommendation from a friend, I came to check this place out. I just might be a new regular. We came just before a pretty big Sunday morning rush; waited a couple minutes for a table, and the staff was incredibly apologetic and attentive. Got coffee right away (it's diner coffee, not much to write home about) and did not wait long at all for our food. For as busy as this place was, they were on top of checking in to make sure we were doing well, which really makes all the difference for me. And then
Great old school breakfast Cafe. Lovely neighborhood feel. Timeless and great waitstaff.
Awesome little diner. Been there for years but never went. I'm sorry I didn't try it sooner. Staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Can't wait to go back and try their benedicts. I had the hash and it was really good.
Great diner for breakfast or lunch. Nice atmosphere. Good breakfast omelettes and home fries. The donuts are good too. It's been a consistently solid choice with consistent quality, which seems a lot rarer these days for places.
Great donuts. Always fresh. The apple fritters and long John's are great, but you can't really go wrong with any of the donuts.
I am a very regula4 customer here & on this day like every Saturday I tried to call in my order so I could just grab it and go I've called 14 times over the last 30 minutes and their phone is off the hook because their owner doesn't feel like taking carry out orders so I went up there in person and the line is out the door and all of those people are waiting to dine in and no one would let me just go in and place my carry out order and leave and come back this is terrible service the food is usually really
By far my favorite breakfast place in Columbus hands down! Lacey and the staff are always kind and welcoming and I haven?t had a bad doughnut or meal here!
Sat in the restaurant on 12/10 for almost 10 minutes and watched every table around us get served and welcomed? were not given menus and not a single employee said one word to my wife or I before we finally decided to leave. Will never come to this place again under any circumstance.
Best donuts in Columbus! ?? Very friendly staff.
It's always so nice to have a little reminder of my home town. It gets packed pretty fast and the workers are always so nice. The food is great and I definitely recommend getting some donuts before they sell out. They are just as good as they look. ??
I've been going to Honey Dip for decades. I stop in for donuts or breakfast from time to time. This time was breakfast. It's decent for a greasy spoon / donut shop. Eggs Benedict is basic, but what I want sometimes. The home fries are a bit mixed, sometimes nice and crispy, others a bit soft. V8, not tomato juice - very nice. I usually the get a couple of the extra fancy long Johns for the road. The prices are on point, and it clearly caters to a large number of regulars based on how many people just wa
My diet restrictions mean that donuts are a special treat. This is the place! Also, the coffee is amazing. Always fast service, always super fresh, and usually busy-but they should be!
Just visited with my girlfriend. Our first time here! Staff and everything was wonderful. Super friendly. Super sweet. Food was amazing! Absolutely will be back asap!
Everything iv eating from here has been good
We came here to eat on a Friday morning at around 10 AM. It was my boyfriend's second time there but my first time there. It was a cute little diner. It was decently busy for a weekday morning, but not packed. I ordered the make your own omelet that came with toast and home fries. My boyfriend ordered the eggs Benedict and a blueberry pancake. We also ordered donuts to eat while we were waiting for the food to come out. The donuts were great and tasted very fresh. The cooks prepared the meals so quickly tha
Wonderful service! The donuts are absolutely delicious!!! I really enjoyed the breakfast. Just a pure gem in Columbus. Highly recommend getting the omelet. Coffee is great as well!
We go once or twice a month for breakfast or brunch. Lots of gorgeous fresh donuts and good classic diner food. I've enjoyed omelettes and bacon and eggs, but the corned beef hash is my favorite. Good friendly service. It can get busy, but for a good reason.
The donuts here are great. These are the old school tasty ones you remember and expect from a classic diner. We got a mix of sprinkled, glazed, jelly, twist and an eclair style. All delicious, and on top of that the service is great. A woman who worked there graciously gave my young daughters donut shaped chalk as a gift! I know, it was awesome. Go here!
Food was ok, but very expressive for what you get me I had a grilled cheese sandwich on Texas Toast w ham a few chips and a small pickle spear. It was7. 28. Lunch for 2 adults and I 7 year old girl, was over 25.00. The food was fresh, well prepared. Personally, I will not return.
NOT PRICEY. Unlike other shops they make their donuts onsite. Much cheaper than trendy cake donut shops. One of the very few real donut shops in Columbus, making traditional raised donuts. Most places only make cake donuts...which is deep fried cake not a donut. Fantastic and fresh every time.
We went for the first time today and will definitely be back! I got the grits, and they were buttery and perfect. Even though it was pretty busy, the service was quick and friendly. Thanks!??
Our favorite donut place in Columbus! It?s the only donut place that has both mine (chocolate cream filled) and my husband?s (iced jelly filled) favorite donuts. Our kids love to eat their donuts in the restaurant too. Delicious, classic donuts at a reasonable price!
Very nostalgic to a classic diner. I go there every once in a while it's actually quite nice people are great!
I mostly buy donuts there. I've had also breakfast. Their donuts are very good, freshly baked and well made. They are usually very busy with a lot of customers but hey manage to serve you fast and with a good attitude. I love their apple fritters. Yum!
My husband + I have been meaning to go here for years now. We finally did + oh my goodness! I wish we would have stopped years ago. The donuts are absolutely amazing + the employees are so kind + helpful. I have never witnessed my toddler eat something faster. He recommends the honey dipped ones. I already plan to have this be my after pregnancy treat! Highly recommend + toddler approved!
My first time and I will go again! Donuts were great, waitresses were great. Next will try something from the menu. Stopped in today and had a delicious blueberry pancake and the last cherry donut. My wife's first time and she had a delicious veggie omelet.
