Let's talk apple fritters. We were waiting a table at Everett diner next door. We went next door to honey bear got some coffee and apple fritters. The fritter was gigantic, can easily feed 3. It's nice that the glaze isn't overwhelming, it's just right. The breading itself is not too sweet, the apples were caramelized before it was fried. It was not slapped together like some I've had. My family and I are from Tampa, Florida. We have visited Bryson City for vacation twice in 2024 and now 2025. All 3 times we swing by Honey Bear?s Bakery for the Apple fritter!!! I got the eyes wide open coffee ice cream and it was some of the best I've had. My wife got a strawberry cupcake. There is a lot of variety here (coffee, ice cream and bakery items) plus lots of seating. The staff here is super friendly too!

After a long day of outdoor fun and tubing we needed a pick me up for trip home and this place came highly recommended by a local. The brewed coffee was smooth and robust in flavor. Lattes are the best in town. They have a ton of sugar free flavors that taste great too, not just vanilla! The cookies are delicious, specifically the caramel apple. Staff is very sweet.

Amazing place. I?m not sure if they were the owners working but they are super nice and friendly. They said they were from Florida as well. They were just getting the donut selections out so we ordered a regular glazed and a glazed with maple bacon. Holy cow they were so good. I also ordered a mocha which was great. Did not order the cupcakes, but they looked really nice.

We are so glad we found this adorable bakery during our visit to ride The Polar Express! The owners were so sweet. They let my husband try the red velvet coffee before he ordered it. He can?t stop talking about it! We also ordered three cupcakes, and they were the best we?ve ever had! I also heard the owner telling a customer that she was so sorry she didn?t have a certain cupcake that she was wanting, but they would be glad to make it if she?d be around in a couple of hours. We came up to Bryson City for the moonshine train ride. My husband and I enjoyed the pumpkin spice chai latte, the hot chocolate and a homemade donut. We got there around 2pm on a Sunday and it was slim pickins. There were 3 cupcake flavors left. A few different cookies, brownies and blondies. I got a Blondie. That was the best Blondie I've ever had. I'm a baker and I love me some desserts and pastries of all kinds. Truly that was the best Blondie. Not dry, not hard. Cooked Perfectly and fresh.

Local here, just tried this for the first time. The experience was great! We ordered a maple bacon donut and a cinnamon donut. Also had two iced lattes. The woman working this evening was so friendly, knowledgeable about the baked goods, and made sure my husband's latte was made with oat milk since he is lactose intolerant. He sucked down his oatmilk latte in minutes because it was that good! Will definitely return.

The energy was really off since the last time we visited (June 2024). We didn?t get greeted both times we walked in this past weekend and even were ignored waiting at the counter. They also didn?t have any cupcakes? They also got rid of their amazing coffees. Disappointing. Best vegan cupcake ever! When visiting downtown Bryson City, I stopped by Honey Bear?s Cupcakery and asked if they had any vegan cupcakes. Chef Jeff said he would be happy to make me one and asked what flavors I liked. I give this place the Paul Hollywood handshake. They absolutely nailed the blue ridge parkway cupcake which is a blueberry cupcake. The cupcake itself is moist and they made the blueberry flavor perfect. The frosting is sweet but balanced so you don?t go into a sugar coma.

This place is a must for great drinks and cupcakes. The signature honey tea is a must they sell it in gallon growlers. Bring the growler back and get a discount on refill. Hot chocolate is great for kids, even the grown ones. My favorite is the butter beer latte hot or iced. Zach and the owner jeff absolutely awesome people and the energy they put out is contagious. This is the cutest place! We discovered this sweet little cupcakery while browsing the strip in Bryson City. The lady at the counter was so friendly and kind. We tried the honey and blueberry cupcakes. Both were delicious and super decedent. The next day we had to return for a Honey Cinnamon Latte. It was wonderful as well. I love that they offer milk alternatives. If I lived here it would be my daily stop. We will definitely return.

OMG the MOST AMAZING cupcakes and customer service. We were here celebrating my birthday, which was on a Monday (Mar 27). We stopped in on Sun the 26th since the bakery was closed on my bday. The young lady who helped us was SUPER nice - she even gave me a pre-bday "bear" doughnut as a gift. We waited to eat the cupcakes until the next day and they were UNREAL! We happened to stumble upon this little gem this morning by accident and we're so happy that we did!!! We got this amazing cupcake for our daughter and two iced coffees(not pictured) that were absolutely incredible. This is the type of place that every city in America needs. This is must go-to if you go into Bryson City! Great drink selections (I recommend the honey sweet tea & the bacon donut). Everything is made fresh and is locally owned by the sweetest couple. Definitely recommend and can't wait to come back when we visit Bryson City again!

This is the absolute best place!!! The chocolate covered strawberrie cupcake has a taste like no other! The atmosphere is great and there honey tea is so great! I am so indecisive I ended up getting one of every flavor and it was soooo worth it!!!!

We really enjoyed coffee here while we visited Bryson City! The donuts and apple fritters were also a big hit among our group! I greatly appreciate that this business is also dog friendly and welcomed in our pup. The only downfalls were how long it took to get our drinks. The young man making them and tending the register was very sweet, but our drinks took 20 minutes.

Nope, just not a good experience at all. I ordered a medium coffee, she came back with a small and said it was all she had left and would give me back the difference. I told her not to worry about the difference, but the small coffee was cold and half creamer. Left it and moved on.

I can't speak more enough on this place. We were visiting the smokies for a getaway/birthday celebration for our partner. I initially looked up this by chance/google. WOW! I can?t say enough good about this place. The young man and woman behind the counter were so incredibly helpful and nice, some of the most friendly people we?ve met. We ended up getting a growler of their delicious honey sweet tea as well as a caramel crave latte and their honey cinnamon latte. Update: Since the original owners sold the business, things have gone downhill. The counters were dirty, the drink dispensers were dingy and looked dirty. My boyfriend and I went on vacation to Bryson City the middle of April this year and stopped in here for a coffee. He said it was the best cold brew he has ever had! The cold brew was so smooth with some of the the lowest acidity brew I?ve ever tasted?? And the extra espresso shot was a slap in the face in the best way possible for fueling up between adventures. And an all-star team at the Honey Bear! 5 stars all around.

The staff was as sweet as their cupcakes :) they let us sample the coffee we were buying for the week. It was great to have their brew before our hikes that they also recommended. Got the Signature Vanilla Cream Ice Cold Brew and it was one of the best coffees ever!! I usually order a shot of coffee on my coffee for strong coffee flavor and this one did not need it. It was so good and I still think about it often! I also got a cupcake and it was decadent. If I?m ever near this area, I?ll stop by for this coffee again.

We visited the area for a long weekend and ended up going here every day! We're obsessed with the honey sweet tea and bought a jug of it to take home. Not sure how this place has such good reviews for coffee.. We stopped by here for a much needed latte & what I received just tasted like a bunch sugar in a cup. I couldn?t taste the coffee at all. My husband ordered an iced tea & after completing the sale the worker proceeded to inform my husband that they didn?t have that iced tea & didn?t offer any solutions ?? Not sure if they were training someone new or what the issue was but customer service was NOT THERE and the drinks were a waste of money.

I hadn't read any reviews before deciding to drop in. The sign promised apple fritters, and they definitely delivered! Not only was it easily twice (if not three times) the size I had expected, it's the best apple fritter I have ever had in my life. We plan on coming back before we leave town so that we can take some back to our family. Can't wait for another visit.

We visit Bryson city often and came here for the first time tonight. The young man behind the counter, went above and beyond. He was so friendly and noticed I was ordering non dairy. And mentioned the vegan cupcake they served if I was interested. Of course!! It was very good, I sat there with my son and we had wonderful conversation. My fianc? and I went on a weekend getaway and between Saturday and Sunday we went to this shop at least 4 times. The hot chocolate is AMAZING, and not like any hot chocolate from anywhere else. THE BEST apple fritter and cinnamon roll I have ever had!!! Owner is so nice. She doesn't brag on her pastries but she ought to! I live in Hickory, over 2 hours away. I'll be meeting a friend from Tennessee there again in about 7-8 weeks and I'll visit her shop again.

We stopped there in May while riding our motorcycles through Bryson City. The entire group was so impressed with the cupcakes, tea, etc. so when we made our fall trip the beginning of this month on the bikes again, we had to make a special trip back over to Bryson City, except we did not check the hours and they were closed on Tuesday, so we did in fact go back on Wednesday to get our cupcakes. Coffees are very good. I had glazed doughnuts which were big and a perfect combo of doughy and airy. Not too much glaze, just right. My only complaint would be that at 11:00am on a Saturday the available items were pretty limited. Didn?t get one but the cupcakes look amazing as did the giant apple fritter.
