Delicious food ! Tried a potato bacon and egg taco loved the taste and the salsa! They make a yummy iced matcha! Great stop for breakfast for those traveling near !
Really good. Visiting from Austin and went at 5am for coffee. First I was surprised that they have espresso , and on top good one, and the donuts were very nice ( I recommend the apple fritter). Victoria was also extremely welcoming . Good place . Will be back
For sure a hidden gem for breakfast! Definitely stop here for something quick to eat and you cannot beat how cheap it is! The earlier you get there the better as the breakfast tacos among other specialty donuts do not last till they close! The owner is such a sweet lady and the food literally speaks for itself! Perfect to sit inside to eat, or take it to go through the drive thru! So good!
This place is a little gem in Johnson city. The donuts and breakfast sandwiches are delicious. The crown jewel of this place is their apple fitters. I have eaten many apple fitters in my life. I have to say these so far have been the best I have ever tasted. I live in Austin, but make the drive up to JC for there awesome apple fitters. Can't wait for the next time I'm in town.
Small donut/sandwich place off Hwy 281. Coffee is very good. Had a croissant with egg & cheese. Croissant was nice and buttery ?? Highly recommend. Have already stopped twice while in town.
Egg bacon croissant, capuccino and old fashioned donut = $10. Very reasonable for me. Flavor ??. Capuccino was a little bitter for my taste, but I appreciate an espresso machino. Nice quick spot, they have a drive thru and even a cute table outside under a tree.
Delicious donuts, kolaches, and breakfast tacos!!! Additionally, they have a Great selection of drinks; I especially love the Vietnamese Coffee ???? Nice Mom n Pop donut shop. WARNING... Better get there early or it'll all be gone. ??

Fresh donuts and healthy size breakfast tacos. The hot sauce was actually HOT. I was very pleased with my visit.

I live locally and I have tried to come here 3 times. Every time the lady we got was rude and unpleasant. The kolaches were cold after asking to be reheated. I don?t know if we just caught her on bad days but probably won?t be coming back.
Worst donuts ever, highest price for said bad donuts and they had to be at least a day old. Dry, flaking glaze and no flavor. $15 for a few of these hockey pucks. Keep driving if you see this train wreck of a donut shop.

The girl in the Deadpool shirt was rude and completely screwed up our simple order of a dozen donuts and two sandwiches. I?ll because any request for sprinkles or different variety seem to bother her. She the type of person that doesn?t enjoy any aspect of her chosen job.
It was a cold and rainy day when our bicycle group dropped in here for donuts and coffee. They have a nice selection of donuts and pastries and also breakfast tacos including some vegetarian options. The woman working behind the counter was courteous while simultaneously putting her all into serving us at the counter while also waiting on the drive through. Oh, and they also have Thai iced tea on the menu (my favorite!).

Excellent service, delicious donuts and coffee. Every time we order a kid's hot chocolate they heat it up just warm enough, not too hot like other places. We appreciate it because my son gets to enjoy it right away. That always stands out when I think of Home Town Donuts.
Such a cute donut shop with a great variety of donuts, Kolaches,Croissants , and much more. The owner is so sweet and nice person who always makes my family feel welcome when we come in from Houston. 10/10 would recommend for anyone passing by
The staff is always fast and friendly, and the breakfast sandwiches are fantastic. Try one of the croissant sandwiches, you won't regret it! Of course, the donuts and coffee are great too, and always fresh.

This place is amazing! Always has a friendly staff and large selection of EVERYTHING! The girls working there are truly nice and helpful. If you have not had the pleasure of trying their coffee and donuts or tacos then you are definitely missing out! I highly recommend this place!
Cute little shop. It?s the lavender colored building with a pretty lavender rose by the front door. They do have a drive thru which is nice. The kolaches and croissant sandwiches are pre made. They will warm them up for you. We ordered a small sausage cheese kolache, two bacon egg and cheese croissants and two dozen donut holes. We warmed up the sandwiches. The bacon was slightly sweet. The purple exterior of the building is what initially caught my eye, just off of 281, THE. BEST. I sampled a few donuts and one of their crosssant sandwiches and I was far from disappointed. Everything was fresh and delicious! Their staff was also wonderful, quick and easy service. 10/10!
Have donuts here every week! It's an hour drive from my house but we are always in town early Sunday mornings so we stop in. I've NEVER had a better donut anywhere in my entire 40 years!!!!! Hometown donuts in Johnson city are the best donuts in the world!!!!
Stopped in for donuts on our way to Fredericksburg. Perhaps because it was almost 10 a.m. on a Saturday, but the selection wasn?t like what?s shown on their Yelp page. Donuts were tasty though and service was friendly.
Guess I caught them on a bad day. Donut holes tasted old. They were chewy. Cake donut was horrible.

What make this donut place different than the other donut place are their delicious breakfast taco (I love the potato and brisket taco), their home made salsa for the taco (the best!), and the Thai Ice Tea is a perfection.

It's a donut shop. Like all the others. But I decided to try the brisket taco and it was good but the tortilla was really soggy. It was easy and convenient.
Just went in...both girls were rude..no plain creamer..no salsa for tacos...no apologies or explanations. will try another coffee shop in JC next time. It's not clean either.

Love the donuts from here , we were sad when they left Blanco but found them in Johnson city tx not to far from us to go get some great donuts, Great owners always go out of there way to make you feel at home . ??

My 1st time visiting this place. Customer service was lacking and the girl at the counter Was not very friendly. Not much of a selection available. What was available was halfway decent.

Ok donuts, place was kinda dirty. My suggestion is to keep driving through Johnson City till you get to Fredericksburg.
Came early one morning and everything we ordered was dry and flavorless.. was not impressed.
