Up here on the cape for vacation, was looking for a brunch spot to hold me over for most of the day. This was it. This place is super cute inside and outside they have picnic tables that are shaded so I wasn?t too hot. I got the california eggs benny with loaded home fries which was just delightful. So much food for the price, I could barely finish it. I believe they make their own bread because it was so fresh! I also got a vanilla cold brew that I was very pleased with as well :) Will definitely be return
Great spot for a fresh hand cut donut, great pastry options or a great lunch. Excellent coffee and fun staff. Great local atmosphere. Hadn?t visited in a long time but not much has changed. Best Boston cream donut around!
Went looking for a breakfast place. This was the second one we went to. We were planning on ?eating in? and expected an experience the was designed for those staying and eating. It unfortunately appeared that most people were taking out. NO table service at all despite the fact that they said they would bring our food to the table. Coffee in paper cups, had breakfast out of take out containers. We both had the ?garden scramble?. One got cheese for $2 more (a bit pricey for cheese). The focaccia was really
This place is always amazing. The quality of their food is top notch and it never disappoints. I got a blueberry cake donut and my mom got a coconut donut and they were both as big as our face! I got the specialty Christmas coffee and it was delicious. Highly recommend.
Loved the breakfast there. The place had a warm and friendly feel and the staff are super nice. We ordered bagels and donuts and everything was delicious. There is a lovely fireplace. The restroom is huge and had flowers and paintings inside. Now how many coffee shops have you been to that can match all this !!!
Can?t believe I never reviewed hole in one! Been coming here for years with my great aunt. Even now that she?s in a retirement home I will drive from Orleans to Brewster and back to Orleans just to take her here, at her request but I am happy to oblige! Always great food and great service. Today I was in the midst of a different type of trip that was very stressful and I just wanted a few minutes of normalcy. The staff was extremely gracious even though I came in close to close and was getting food from the
Try the sour cream donut!! Omelet with avacado and chicken was tasty.. Pouched eggs and sausage gravy were yummy too! Foccia bread was a hit!
Highly recommended!! Great spot for breakfast or lunch. I got the quinoa bowl 10 out of 10! Coffee is really good ???? . The donuts are amazing as well! I didn?t get to take a picture of the donut.
Donut heaven in cape cod. We were lucky enough to be staying in Orleans so i didn?t have to go too far to get these. I went at 6 when they opened and i didn?t have to wait in line. These donuts are really big and substantial and delicious and filling. My family loved them.
Really great spot with home made doughnuts and bagels! Gluten free options too that actually taste good! Lemon blueberry scone and GF brownie.
This used to be the best breakfast spot on the cape but eliminating the dine in option has ruined the experience! I have no desire to eat my breakfast out of a cardboard box under a tent in the parking lot. Please bring back the dine in option
The food looks fantastic however, you have to order your food at the counter and bring it to your table which is difficult if you're having a large meal. we didn't eat there we offed it for another restaurant that you could be served. It would have been great to grab a cup of coffee and some pastry. The place was packed so evidently , people don't mind bringing it to their table.
Wonderful breakfast restaurant and bakery in Orleans MA. Very busy on Thursday morning, but the moved people thru fast. Tons of Muffins, donuts and rolls. Full breakfast menu (pancakes were outstanding). Excellent coffee. Plenty of parking. Super friendly staff. Highly recommended.
There aren't many breakfast options when visiting the Cape in the off season so we were happy to find this place. We had no idea that it was basically glorified take out. Once inside, it was super confusing. You need to order your food first, and then find a seat. They wouldn't even let us look for a seat first. We had limitations and unable to go upstairs and didn't know what was available downstairs. On to the ordering process. We tried to order custom omelets but the person taking our order wouldn't al
Beyond excellent. Hands down the best home fries I've ever had. The potato pancakes were so good!! My husband loved his California Benedict. We took home some of their delicious donuts too!
Expect a 5 minute wait. Bert, breakfast is excellent as usual. Prices are a little bit more expensive than last yfor 2 people. 2 orders of breakfast. I had to hold on one traditional. My favorite thing to order. For 2 people, 2 orders of breakfast, 2 coffees and a bottle Pepsi, it came up to about 40 bucks But the service is excellent and the food. It's greathey will make it the way You want it. I would recommend The traditional holland one order
Every member of the team was friendly and welcoming and the food was great! Coconut cold brew and the breakfast at potatoes were especially fantastic. Can?t wait to go back!
????? RUDE, HUMILIATING, AND COMPLETELY UNCALLED FOR I came into Hole in One Donuts today to pick up a few donuts ? simple, right? It was supposed to be a quick treat run, specifically for my daughter. Instead, I left embarrassed, disrespected, and completely disgusted by the behavior of the staff. The woman at the counter ? black hair, nasty attitude ? didn?t greet me, didn?t smile, didn?t even acknowledge me as a human being. She opened with ?What do you want?? like I had personally ruined her day by wa
We stop by for a breakfast around 10:30 Place was packed. Line was moving pretty fast. There was paper menu's located neer the door that make our experience even better - by the time we reached the cashier we alredy knowing what we wanted. We order 3 different breakfast - eggs Benedict, hole in one breakfast that includes 3 meats, eggs and tost, chocolate chip pancakes. We also try ther famous donuts and they was delicious. Their Boston cream pie donut was one of the best that i ever try. We had caramel ice
We went to Hole in One Breakfast & Lunch for a quick breakfast on our way to Ptown. We ordered and paid for our food at the counter and found a table upstairs where someone brought us our order. One may sit inside downstairs, upstairs in a bright sunroom, or outside under a tent. We had bagels which were fresh, lightly toasted with plenty of cream cheese. I also had a blueberry muffin which was very good, light and fresh, and my husband enjoyed a coffee role.
My wife and I decided to have breakfast here after having been here a few years ago. They no longer have table service. You now have to wait in line to order/pick up. There's limited seating inside and several picnic tables outside. Although I was disappointed by the process, the meal did not disappoint. My wife ordered the shorter Traditional French Toast and I ordered Corn Beef Hash and Eggs. Both meals were very good.
Nice and cozy breakfast place. Expect to wait awhile to be seated. Food is good and you have a lot yummy choices. It's a kid friendly place and the employees are very nice. I have to say the donuts are gooooood!!!! Old fashioned tasty donuts!
Following all the positive reviews online, we decided to have our Sunday morning brunch at The Hole in One. We are so glad that we did! We arrived before 9AM and luckily got a table for three. All the house specials we ordered are so delicious! And the service was great too. Did I mention the price? We will definitely visit it next time we are in Cape Cod. Advice: be there early! As we left, we saw a long line of people waiting to be seated.
My first time visiting the restaurant. I ordered ?the mountain? and it was delicious. Biscuit, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, bacon, sausage gravy, and cheese. As well as crispy potatoes. I could only eat half. Owner of the restaurant was constantly rounding to say hello and was really nice, as well as the support staff. They do well to maintain Covid rules. I?m going back to try one of their sandwiches, would highly recommend.
Easily one of the best breakfast spots I've ever come across. There was a bit of a wait, even early in the morning, but it was absolutely worth it. The food came out quickly, and was prepared masterfully. I had the crab cakes eggs benedict and it was like liquid gold on my plate. It was the best eggs benedict I've ever had. The staff their is also exceedingly professional and polite. The whole experience was just incredible! I will certainly be back for more of their amazing food and friendly service.
It's a little small and can be crowded at times, but staff is always nice and food is mostly good. Best home fries I've ever had and good bacon and toast, sausage is a little plain and scrambled eggs could be better. One of my favorite breakfast places, amazing pastries!
we got here later in the morning so there was a 30-45 minute wait but decided to stay after seeing the reviews. once seated (in a small section next to a small dividing wall) the waitress took our drink orders. i got the coconut cold brew coffee (great flavor but beware you will have coconut repeating on you for hours afterwards even after eating another meal). the waitress was very sweet and took our food order. i got the country breakfast with the bacon scallion cheddar biscuit and my friend got 2 pancake
I ordered an egg sandwich on brioche with sausage. Wasn?t until I got home (20 minutes away) that I realized the new kid at the register got my order wrong and ordered me bacon on focaccia. When you?re paying that much for breakfast food, you hope they get your order right. Shame on me for not checking the new kid?s work before leaving. And shame on management for throwing a new kid to the wolves on a busy, holiday weekend Saturday morning. (Bacon/focaccia much drier than brioche and sausage would have been
Really nice place. Friendly staff. The corned beef hash is a bit dry but delicious and homemade. The donuts are good, but not the best around. I gave three stars because it's also a bit pricey. Back again and updating my review, still really good, still somewhat "pricey" but having said that... it's worth every penny.
My favorite breakfast place in the area - get there early to beat the rush. They have wonderful food and great service. The corned beef hash was fantastic, as were the blueberry crunch pancakes (made with granola). I didn't love the potato pancakes. I really recommend taking some of their donuts to go, too.
Even though there?s no longer full table service, you order and they will bring the food to you. I still thought the atmosphere and staff were as wonderful as always. Great spot for breakfast!!
Good beef hash and potato "pancakes" (more like a potato hash). Separate line for coffee and donut to go which is helpful while you wait for table. Free donut hole at to go counter. Friendly staff and comfy seat. Color paper and pen available for kids.
Delicious breakfast and lunch options. The fried chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado was good. Half sandwich and soup was a generous size. Not alot of seating for its popularity so we did have a long wait for a table for four. Also got donuts and raspberry shortbread square to go from bakery coubter... Yum!
We went here on a Tuesday morning (during the summer) and it was crazy busy! You order at the counter here. There are no prices for coffees, which I don't trust. But I ordered this Mountain meal and it was delicious! This is definitely a meal that could be shared. On the bottom is a biscuit, which they make in house and was very good! There's also sausage gravy on it and bacon and eggs and cheese. Sooo good! All this was about $12. Highly recommend the food. Be prepared for not fantastic service though.
Extremely rude staff at the quick service. Today around 11:30am. Someone should talk to them about customer service. Especially the Women?s who took orders . Disgusting behavior from people who should be friendly. Shame on you women.
The best breakfast I've ever had on the Cape! Amazing food, fantastic people and a nice location! Definitely will be back.
Started off waiting in line, but we were impressed at how quickly it moved. Got inside and placed our order with one of the girls at the register who was having a difficult time entering what we asked, but we?re figuring she was new. We gave our table number to one of the staff and waited for our food as we were told to do, but after a very long time of waiting, we went down to investigate where the food was. Turns out it was sitting there forgotten about, but we?re trying to cut them some slack since it wa
Weekday. About 1pm and didn?t feel rushed despite the fact they were closing at 2pm. I had a cranberry chicken salad. There were three other people at table with different foods from the breakfast / lunch menu. All looked delicious and was. Cozy and charming. Food is outstanding and waitress was very pleasant, made us feel welcome. Was very nice.
I am very disappointed with the quality of food on display today. I have gone to Hole in One for donuts and coffee semi regularly for a few years now and always have had good experiences there. However, today was quite the exception. While the coffee was great as usual, the buttermilk pancakes left quite a lot to be desired, tasting like flour, with the consistency of a wet sponge. Overall, I'd recommend Hole in One for coffee and donuts, and can't vouch for their other breakfast offerings, stay away from t
Quaint place. Delicious breakfast. Got the Portuguese Benedict special it was delicious. Homemade English muffin was yummy.
Cinnamon Bun French toast! So yummy! From the minute you walk in the door you feel warm and welcome. From the hostess to the server, and everyone I encountered in between, were loving their job! Great experience! will definitely be back time and time again.
The sour cream donut was good. The omelette was a bit greasy. Currently there is no table service. All food is served in paper to-go containers. The tables inside are available to eat at if desired. Picnic tables are available outside too.
Consider this review a 4.5. I wavered between a 4 and a 5 because the place is super cute and the food is excellent but the wait is too long. We had to wait 30 mins to order and another 45 to get our two bagels with cream cheese. The sugar bun was delicious and the gluten free scone was devine. We recommend Hole in One but don?t arrive famished as you will most likely wait for your food- at least on a weekend.
Not a traditional breakfast experience. No table service, you order at the counter, which was surprising given that there were only 2 other customers in the dining room and 4 employees behind the counter. When my breakfast came out it was incorrect and served in a deep cardboard to go container. When I got the attention of the employees behind the counter (which had risen to 6) they corrected the order explaining that my ticket had gone on the wrong box. Amazing- only 2 orders came out of the kitchen while
just charming as heck. the donuts are great; especially the honey dipped/honey glazed (can?t remember the exact term), and i love their breakfast options, especially the sandwiches. staff are super friendly too, which is an increasingly rare thing! i will be back again and again as long as they?re around.
Lady at the front with black hair is a joke of a server . Get a hug from someone and be nice to people. If you want bad service go here
Was excited to try this place after years of visiting cape. We were really disappointed. The preparation was really sloppy with waffles that were over cooked and eggs that were not properly prepared. We could have easily made much better breakfast at our condo.
Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. Huge variety of fabulous breakfast and lunch options for nearly every taste. Cozy indoor dining and nice outdoor picnic tables depending on what type of dining option you're in the mood for. Always a dining highlight of our visits to Cape Cod!
Best breakfast in town! Staff are always friendly! Gets busy during summer so get here early.
The service is as friendly and helpful as it could possibly be. And the food was exceptional. A pleasant experience that I can whole heartedly recommend.
Hand's down the best place to get a donut on Cape Cod. Between the delicious dense cake donuts and the light and airy yeast donuts?there's something for everyone and on Fridays they always have a new crazy donut. We drive 35 minutes out of our way to get these every weekend. These donuts are made fresh every day. They're huge. They're FAR superior to the tiny, stale offerings at Dunkin or HoneyDew and you get to support locals at the same time. Delicious, fresh, AND good for your soul? How is that even a
This is an adorable and delicious spot for breakfast. The food is delicious and the service is excellent! I would highly recommend the California Benedict. The donuts and coffee are good too. We went on a Monday morning and it wasn?t too crowded.
Delicious potato pancakes! The Mountain is a family favorite and lots of chocolate chip pancakes for the kids! Loved it all!
Disappointing. We came for donuts ? made a special trip. What a let down. They were not tender, the flavor was bland, and they seemed stale. I would never come back for these. We ordered sugar raised, cream filled, and cinnamon. We all agreed the grocery store donuts were better. Not worth the calories. Also annoying: they didn?t have their prices for donuts or coffee listed on the menu on the wall or in the printed menu. You had to ask, which is just awkward and the staff didn?t know offhand and had to u
My son ordered ham and cheese croissant and waited 30 minutes- it appeared the cashier forgot to put the order in? not sure! We are pretty patient people, but when we saw people getting their hot food before us and they arrived well after us. The cashier that took our order saw us waiting and never asked us if we needed anything else. Instead she proceeded to talk to her friends.. I want to mention we were one of the first ones there when they first opened.. Maybe staff need more coffee in the mornings and
Seems they took down my 3 day old review, it was a 1 star. Everything about the place has changed Food comes slowly and is cold and or not even cooked (Grilled English Muffin) was taken out of package cut in half and tossed in the container!! For the $$ you pay service is lacking as well professionalism of the Staff If ya wanna pay top dollar to wait forever on cold undercooked food and then have the audacity to ask about your order after 45 minutes to an hour be my guest....... Won't be back
Delicious! Until the eggshell, not just a little piece, a few good hunks. Tried to find a contact point other than calling and this is all I could find. Wish there had been an email address.
Outstanding food and great customer service and good place to hang out with staff members, we're they make you feel at home and most Importantly prices are absolutely good with good food
always loved the food but covid is over. i want coffee in a mug and silverware. no need for to go containers.
Great mask and distancing compliance. Delicious donuts as always. Fast service. Update: 7/3/22 masks optional. Few customers wearing them. Outdoor tables under tent are popular at the Orleans site.
The Hole is/was a tradition in our house. The food has always been good, great donuts and pastries, and fine service. On the $$ side, but worth it. I am now dismayed by not being asked to recycle the table service, plastic and paper. I am sure that customers would not be turned off by such a request. No recycling is the only reason this review is less than 5 stars.
Staff were great, loved the liveliness of the place! Food was okay, tasted like your average diner plate and wasn?t anything to write home about. Donuts and home fries were decent, but wish their water canteen wasn?t empty and was refilled timely.
This place was bumping! Long line, but went by pretty fast! Very kind staff. Got the glaze and chocolate glaze donut. Was good, but not very sweet dough. So if you?re looking for a sugary sweeter doughnut then I don?t recommend. The bacon egg bagel on a Asiago bagel was good. The portions for the doughnut and sandwich were large and good, but I wouldn?t say flavorful. Still a nice atmosphere and friendly place.
My favorite breakfast in the Orleans area whether it's for sit down or just a pastry. They have such amazing staff. It gets super busy so expect to wait, but don't be discouraged. You won't be disappointed.
Good coffee and bagels Friendly staff Someone needs to clean the cobwebs once in a while ??
I love this company and I love what they do. The staff in Orleans were some of the most incompetent that I?ve ever seen working in any store. The manager did not want to hear my complaints. She fixed the problem, but she did not want to hear it. I?ll drive to another location next time.
Cosy. Visited 2024-10-01. Empty tables but slow delivery of order. Eggs over easy were overcooked. Scrambled eggs were a thin omelet, then cut up. Potato pancakes were hard and stodgy. Lots of nice looking bakery items.
Great little breakfast place in the Cape. Delicious eats, friendly service, crayons for the kiddos and donuts to go. If you arrive before 8 am, you don't have to wait for a table!
Great little breakfast spot their homemade chips were so good!
The honey dip donuts are the best! We had eggs, pancakes, toast, and home fres. They were all good. The hash was dry. The seating policy was confusing. Someone sat us, but a sign on the table said to tell the counter person our table number. We sat and then got up and stood in line to order. We would go again.
This location is counter service only, but the service was quick, helpful and polite! We had the corned beef hash, breakfast potatoes, and one of their benedicts. I do not like eating in a to go container and prefer a real dish, however I was thankful for a breakfast spot that was open during the off season and offered a variety of dishes! There is a something for everyone on the menu or in the bakery case.
Have been here many times within the past year. Food is always pretty good. Service is always awful. we will not be back. The last interaction, placing a take out order and waiting for over 30 minutes for food which unbeknownst to us was ready and getting cold on the counter in front of us. No staff tried to bring the food to us or even call out our name as they usually do. Instead we had to go down and try and get one of the 4 workers to acknowledge us and the two bags of food on the counter (hoping one w
4-4.5. I had the crab cake Benedict which was really good, same with the iced chai. My boyfriend had the maple bacon pancakes which where good. The potato pancakes weren?t seasoned enough for our liking. The main issue is the lack of service. Because of staffing they don?t really have wait service so it?s tricky to get your food. We made sure to inform a staff member of the table we grabbed but after about 20 minutes of waiting, we asked where our food was and turns out it was just sitting on the side waiti
Best meal we had on the cape. Donuts, egg sandwich, Reuben all great. Grilled cheese has toddler seal of approval. Friendly helpful staff.
Delicious salad. A little tight for dining but they outdoor seating in summertime. Donuts great. Go early for your favorite before they sell out.
We look forward to this place for breakfast and sometimes lunch during visits to the Cape. Donuts are great, coffee is amazing. Staff provides top notch service,
Their donuts are a family favorite, last weekend I thought it would be nice to pick up some. I got there at 9:15 am last Sunday and they were almost totally out of donuts- only a couple of cinnamon and lemon filled were left. An hour round trip was pretty much wasted. If you want donuts, get there early or don?t bother. If you can get them, they?re fantastic. Also, it?s a shame that they got rid of table service and the staff seemed pretty miserable.
We haven't been here in many years, in the past it was fantastic. We were very confused and disappointed when we arrived at 9 a.m only to find out it was all taken away only. Mind you we had checked the website prior to driving 30 minutes to get an idea of what we wanted to order. Nothing on the website mentions that they no longer have table service. It's a cluster, the food didn't hit the same. It's not fun eating out of takeout containers and plastic wear after spending $50 on breakfast. But for me the
Both their food and employees are amazing. I always go here when I get the chance. Most recently I ordered the French toast (they let you pick which bread) with a side of bacon. The toast was phenomenal and the bacon was perfectly cooked. My group also ordered the pistachio coffee which they both said tasted great. They have a lot of seating available both inside and outside, and despite the large amount of people that are there, the food arrived timely. 10/10
Best chocolate glazed donuts. Solid breakfast food, recommend the eggs mulligan. I eat here every time I am home, at least once.
Breakfast was excellent. We could have order one breakfast and shared it!
The sweet foods are delicious, but the service is not great and my order was disappointing. I asked if it would be possible to have ?very crispy bacon? and the cashier said yes. The bacon was gummy, not well done at all. Frustrating because I would have passed on the bacon if they had been honest and said the kitchen couldn?t do it. Also the amount of waste with the paper plates and plastic silverware wrapped in plastic - it?s really troubling.
I come to Cape Cod at least once a year and I make it a point to stop at Hole in One a couple of times. They?re ?mountain? breakfast and ?country? order is my go-to. Super hardy and delicious! Bakery is in-house so it?s always fresh. Just don?t expect to be served on a plate. You place your order at the front, you have your seat, and they?ll bring your food to you in a to-go box.
Check your receipt very carefully. With three people waiting on me, for two sandwiches with burnt onion rings, and two cinnamon buns,I paid $43. When I asked them to check my order, since I felt they overcharged me, they found that the sandwiches were 13.00 instead of $18.00 that was charged. The two people taking the orders didn't even see that anything was wrong as far as the price was concerned, yet this was a special of the day, where they must have sold many others. I wonder if others checked what
Cape cod native, grew up with the original owners and have been coming here well over 30 yrs. The old owners worked extremely hard to build a fantastic family run business. They have since earned there well deserved retirement. Under new ownership I have seen significant loss in food quality from dry muffins to over cooked and cold kitchen meals. The service is hectic and un friendly except for a select few individuals that have been working here for years. I can not come during the summer months for a simp
This place was amazing. Best breakfast place on the Cape. Iced coffee was great, and the Mulligan plate was amazing.
Online it states take out and eat in. When you arrive all has changed !!!! Unlike it was , now you order from a limited menu than before and you can leave or seat yourself with No waitress service . Very disappointed, drove all the way there for a whole different experience than it was. Should really change your website ? I?m pretty sure potato pancakes and all that nice breakfast stuff was not available. If you want coffee and a simple breakfast item then it?s the place for you . If you want a sit down e
I wanted a nice breakfast with a friend, I go to the Eastham location regularly and was expecting the same level of service. What a disappointment ?? Food must be ordered at the counter, you then wait for your food to get served in take out containers??!! My eggs were squashed under my pancakes in the same flimsy box and I was provided plastic throw away utensils! Not only gross to eat out of but yikes environment unfriendly. Threw away half of my 30 dollar breakfast and won't be back.
