Great staff and a beautiful selection of homemade baked goods and jams. Pick your own fruit out in the fields is the best quality time with family or even re-energizing alone. Everything is always fresh and fun.
The event was highly positive, with the tart cherry picking activity especially engaging for toddlers. Goat feeding was a highlight, and our infant enjoyed observing the animals. Live band entertainment further enhanced the experience.
Wonderful experience. I picked Highland Orchards because of its proximity to my home. When my family and I arrived we were all pleasantly surprised at all the other fun activities that were available. We enjoyed a leisure hay ride, picked some apples, took photos in the sunflower field (those are NOT for picking, just for photos), and enjoyed all of the vendors there. We did some axe throwing, and had a pumpkin funnel cake that was DELICIOUS!! Overall, a great time. Parking was also good (we went on a Sunda
One of my favorite stops here and the Exton area. They have a great store and I always buy something in the bakery. This year I bought a apple crisp cookie yum. Saturday before Halloween they have four or five food trucks here and all kinds of activities for the family and kids. They have a service that takes you out into the apple orchards and pumpkin patches. I went on this last year and it was nice little ride. Overall this is one of the best fall stops in the Exton area.
Love this place. It is great during late spring to early fall for fruit picking. In summer they have large scale events with, grill and beer and some local whiskey tasting. It?s busy and fun. Then Halloween and thanksgiving season roles around and the activities do not stop. You can go on hay rides, pumpkin picking, large scale corn maze and the best is the Apple cannon (fun for kids and adults). Would highly recommend to visit here. Don?t forget to go to their indoor market. The have fresh fruits and veget
Yesterday was my second visit there.I thought to give a try to there fresh vegetables.I bought a cauliflower and broccoli.Cauliflower cost me 2.99 and was fresh and broccoli cost me around 7$.The broccoli is not at all fresh its turn yellow colour and doesn?t taste fresh.
Highland Orchards is a must-visit spot, especially if you're a fan of apple cider and cider donuts! Every year, my family and I make it a point to stop by and pick up their incredible fresh apple cider and delicious cider donuts?they?re hands down some of the best we?ve ever had. The hayride is always a fun addition to our visit, adding to the whole autumn experience. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, making every visit even more enjoyable. The market is well-organized and stocked with a variety o
This place is very nice. You can find a lot of pumpkins here and the price is very cheap. You can also harvest many types of apples here such as gala, honey crisp, granny smith, mutsu,...
It is one of the best farm i have ever seen in my life. So beautiful farm for picking the fruits. I was Very excited to see this beautiful and naturally atmosphere. Just awesome experience.
Classic apple picking experience (plus pumpkins, beer, food, and more!). We've been going to Highland Orchards for several years and each time has been great. The crowds can get busy, but nowhere near as bad as some other orchards within driving distance to Philadelphia. Get the cider donuts when you visit too.
The owner or manager needs to get control of the bakery. Today, we asked for 2 strawberry donuts. There was only one left around 2:30 pm, so we took it. The girl in the bakery plopped it into the bag, unwrapped and uncovered on top of the scone and single cookie we bought (which were also unwrapped). No parchment or anything. We get home, excited for our baked goods, and get pissed off at seeing this poor excuse for a donut that was about 2 inches in diameter, flat, and flavorless. And the one single peanu
My grandson and I had a wonderful time at Highland Orchards. The best part was that the orchard were hilly which slowed my very fast toddler down. They have so much to do, a playground, animals to feed, and a beautiful market to buy all kinds of things. We went during the week, I hear on the weekend they offer alot more.
First Time, LAST TIME It was a very disappointing first visit. I visited around noon on 6/21/2025. The very small market had little to no vegetables or fruit. However, they had plenty of jams and other non-farm-fresh items. On the other hand, the Bakery was stocked with eye-appealing goods. We purchased several muffins and scones to be enjoyed later that day. Unfortunately, the baked goods looked delicious but were dry and tasteless. We should have tried the apple cider doughnuts, they push those really
D'un day out with a meet up group and we all had a great time here. Its a great meeting point and fun activity to get to make friends. Long walks around the orchard, very lovely staffs to answer questions. Great place for the kids! The shop is filled with tasty treats, freshly made apple cider donuts plus more.
My grandson and I had a wonderful time. We played on the playground, fed some animals, which was free, and then headed over to the orchards. I loved the orchards because the trees are on hills, which slowed my 2.5 year old grandson down!. LOL We will definitely go back next year. My grandson loves apples!
I had been for blueberry and nectarines picking for July 4th weekend and we definitely enjoyed it. Definitely call and find out the latest picking updates before you go... It would be a perfect day out for all ages and try going in the morning before it gets really hot and muggy. Overall a great experience and I love the store as well.
A nice day of apple picking and fall fun. Prices for apple picking and activities are comparable to others in the area. The market is very reasonable and great quality. The staff were all very helpful and friendly!
Love going on Saturday's when they have the BBQ food tent available. Literally the best chicken I've ever had. Inside the shop is always dangerous because there's always so many things I want to buy. A great spot for dessert. Always look in their fridge because you can usually find a good dessert for half off just because it's a few days old. The sodas they sell here are really good. There are so many foodie options it makes your head spin. I always love coming here but I try not going too often because I
We love this farm and all the additional activities they offer for my littles. They truly have such a special grouping of food trucks and businesses supporting them. We absolutely loved the PYO apples in the fall and just did PYO strawberries with our kiddos and had an amazing visit again with a great value for price. We visited for Santa photos and bakery goodies previously also (10/10!). This place is truly very special and does a great job accommodating families with all the little things they do to crea
I love this farm. In spring and summer you get to experience picking your own fruits ranging from apples, berries, cherry, corn. The recommended day to visit is on Saturdays in spring and summer to experience music, beer, barbecues. Visit their website for more pick your own info.
Nice people, Decent selection of foodstuff and tasteful gifts. The prices of many regular items are priced at a premium, but for those living close by the convenience is there. Lots of artsy items, and a great place to go if you?re decorating.
This is a great little place. I took my nieces and nephew to pick out pumpkins, and to play outside. We got to pet the goats, and (try to pet) some chickens. It's moderately priced. There are 2 things that kind of annoyed me. There was soap, but no water to wash hands after touching the animals. The signs to exit were really confusing. I suggest a gps to get out of there. I will definitely be back!
I've purchased many apple cider donuts in the past and today I bought 4 donuts and there was no flavor and very very little cinnamon taste. They actually tasted like plain old fashioned donuts to me, they weren't like the apple cider donuts that I used to eat. Very disappointed for today's purchase.
Would highly recommend to visit this place for all seasonal picking. Peaches, berries they have the yummy once in the area. As they don't use pesticides, we can have fruits while picking. They have a lot of activities through picking season too. Fun place to visit with kids . As of bakery and shop. They stock up fresh produce and Apple cider donuts are a must try.
We've been visiting this place since our kids were little and used to play and feed their animals in their petting zoo. Their grandparents were young enough then to go apple picking in the orchards (now they're not). Loved the place. Although we don't go to the petting zoo or apple picking, their apples are still the best! And their fresh doughnuts---yummy! While you're here, check out the various jellies, jams, hot sauces, etc., that they sell in the store. It's all good stuff.
Late review: I went to Highland Orchard farm for Apple picking in 2019. First I felt the entry fee was overpriced but when I tasted the apples I realized it was worth every penny. Amazing farm with different varieties of apples and other fruits
Great facility and reasonably priced. Exceeded my expectations. Colleen was especially helpful and polite with our apple picking experience. Apple picking, pumpkin picking, feeding animals, and shopping at the farmers market cost me less than 80 bucks for two adults and about 5 hours of fun. The Apple cider donuts are as good as advertised !
It was a fun filled day here that had both pros and cons, but definitely the pros outweighed the cons! Pros: a wide variety of locally canned/grown items in the store, vegan + gluten free cookies available, the unique pumpkins, the tractor ride experience, the amount of peaches we got for the low price of $16 Cons: mushy peaches everywhere in the orchard/all over the ground/slipping and sliding when trying to pick the peaches still on the trees, I also found a pack of cute and simple recipe cards that wer
Awesome apple picking experience! The mutsu apple is pretty good. My favorite was the B pink lady. Apple cider donuts were great!
Went on a Saturday in October for apple picking. Very well organized, with staff directing parking, frequent shuttles to the orchards, and clear signs with which apples were ready to pick. Apples were plentiful and delicious. The trees are small, which makes for easier fruit picking, especially with children. There were also a lot of family friendly activities, including goats that you could feed and face painting. They also have a market with fresh apple cider donuts and apple cider, which were both really
Great place to go with your family! We went on Oct 15th and that day there were having some kind of event with vendors. They have many things to do whether it?s picking apples or pumpkins, feeding goats, a playground, they even sell pizza there which I haven?t had yet! Their lemon blueberry pie is so good!! And their apple cider! Must Try!
I've been coming to Highland Orchards for over 35 years! Every Saturday after soccer we'd stop by for a treat. I live down in West Virginia now, but I'm so glad to be able to stop by whenever I'm back in town.
They have the best strawberries!!!! So much fun coming here to pick different fruits! We came for the strawberry festival and it was nice walking around and we even got some BBQ from the Amish stand which was delicious
I highly recommend the farm. The fruit and berries are delicious! The staff were nice even though we were late they opened the gate to the Honey crisp Apples. I will definitely visit the place again.
Come every year for PYO apples, this year was my daughter's first fall so we also picked pumpkins. Always have such a great time. Despite being large crowds everything moved smoothly, got plenty of apples, a nice pumpkin and tons of memories!
Best Autumn, Halloween and Thanksgiving destination in Pennsylvania. The Pies, donuts and produce are the best and don't forget a Hoagie or deli sandwich from the Market!
Had a great time peach and apple picking at Highland. A Chester County staple, especially as we approach the fall! Locust Lane has a set up until 10/30 to make your time even better. Great place to hang out and pick fruit. Also the shop inside has the best pies!!
RIP OFF. BEWARE - Pick Your Own Came with 2 grandkids to pick strawberries, but LEFT due to OUTRAGEOUS $$$ Field access Fre $3 per person $6.50 per Quart So, 2 adults and 2 kids. $12 to pick We left. BEWARE before you Go
Beautiful farm with Fall fun for the family. This is one of the premier orchards in Chester County. With hayrides, pick your own fruits, and kids activities there?s enough to keep everyone busy for a few hours. During the fall the pumpkins break out and Apple Cider and donuts are the main attraction. The only thing I really disliked was the amount of bees in the bench area, and I remember this being an issue last year as well. My suggestion would be some bee traps to make it easier to sit and eat without wo
We?ve been going to Highland Orchards for years but primarily for events. More recently we?ve been frequenting the bakery and market. I think most of us know their doughnuts are top notch but we just had their pizza for the first time and it was amazing. Such a great spot all together!
Beautiful here. Delicious baked goods. Pumpkin and apple picking. Feed the goats, hay ride and playground.
Offered apple picking, picnic area, playground area, goats and chickens you can feed. Plus outside decor, pumpkins, fresh produce and inside there was baked goods and other food products. Specialty is Apple Cider Donuts.
Went at the off part of November... so no real activities. But still a great time. Still did some apple picking. The bakery is still in full swing. Had a very nice area for smaller children. Had a "local" winery doing tastings and sales. I wouldn't have anything negative to say about it. Very enjoyable. Good time for all. Would recommend
This place is cute, and there's a mini farm. However, my bf and I came here just for the Apple Cider Donuts, and they did not disappoint!!!!!!! They also have this double chocolate muffin OMGOOOOSSSHHHH!
It?s a very good place for fruit picking, kids will enjoy here for sure with some props of Highland Orchards
Great shop with lots of yummy goodies. Very reasonable prices too. Really enjoyed sitting at the picnic tables and kiddos being able to play in the playground/feed some of the barn animals.
Had a great time it was very nice. Would definitely recommend it
First experience there was good. Surprisingly pleasant place. I would love to go back to explore more of the place.
They have the best pumpkin prices in the area and the best apple cider donuts. There's usually a place to grab booze after you're done picking apples and hunting for the best pumpkins. Make reservations to pick apples in 2020. It was sold out the weekend we went. Edit: tip for management, theres a giant wasp nest in a tree branch on the edge of the picnic table area towards the goats. You should probably do something about it.
Always have a great time here. Even better with the beer, wine and food variety this weekend! Great fall experience!
Went here for their fall festival after reading the horrible reviews about Linvilla orchard's festival. We had a great time, there were plenty of food and drink options as well as activities. We did the apple picking and corn maze, must buy separate tickets, and had a great time but didn't do the apple blasting which I regret. Everything was priced well except the maze, but, it was the largest one I've been in so maybe it's worth the price. Definitely recommend!
We try a different orchard every year, and this has been my favorite so far. Highlights: 1. Hot cider doughnuts and apple fritters. 2. Excellent farm market. 3. Rustic playground for the kids. 4. Pre paid picking so you don't end up with $80 of apples! 5. Goats and chickens. 6. The kids were engaged the whole time!
After going to other orchards each fall as a family tradition, we finally made it to this gem! They pack a lot of food vendors and a beer garden into a small space. Plus, there is a small but delightful farm market. We also enjoyed the apple picking, of course, plus the hayride. Looking forward to next year!
Lovely little farm and store market. There's local produce, jellies and bakery. Their apple cider donuts are delicious. They also have new vegan and gluten free baked goods for sale. I triedd a vegan whoopee pie which was excellent! The lady was friendly and very helpful. My kids had fun in a little play ground area and some goats to feed. Would love to come back during picking season!
Peach and honeycrisp picking was fantastic. The apple cider donuts were good. The playground is right next to animals which they can pet. The orchard is huge and very nice. Super cute farm market!
Colleen, the woman who helped us get settled for strawberry picking was so sweet! She even took our pictures at the end. Very beautiful farm!
Love picking my own fruit and vegetables. Delicious as always their apple cider donuts.
Great place to spend the day with kids and family. The activities continue to get better year over year! Would like to see a reserved pumpkin decorating station where one price covers everything someone needs to walk away with a decorated pumpkin.
Great baked goods and a true family feel.Bring your kids to visit the goats and play on the playgroumd. Get the family together and pick whatever is in season. Build memories. Fair pricing and good quality. Nothing beats the taste of something after you pick it yourself. The baked goods will hook you in. The smell of the bakery is the stuff you wish you could bottle. Take a moment to enjoy this Chester County staple.
Nice place to take your city kids out to ) Good vibes and laughs)))
My wife and I visited the orchard on Sunday from Lancaster county, was not impressed. Highland orchard was a great place growing up in Chester County all the way back to the 1960s. A lot of great memories. Boy has it changed. I purchased an apple pie, cider doughnuts and two of there muffins. They are definitely not like they used to be. The apple pie , apples were hard. The one muffin had a hair baked into it and the appearance of the grounds were terrible, all grown over and not well keep like they were.
Picking apples is such a great activity! There are usually nine different apples in season. Bring some tall friends if you want the best apples ??
Good place to bring family .... kids and Grandkids. We enjoyed apple picking with our 2 Granddaughter.
Every year I bring my sons here to pick fresh fruit. It's a great chance te show them the importance of how great fresh farm to table produce can be. The picking season is nice and long as well . My boys love feeding the goats and get donuts . They have the best apple cider donuts you can ask for. The only down fall is it can get pricey. Dont forget a hat and sunblock since you'll be out in the fields. If your not into the picking your self they have a great little store as well.
Had a great experience today for my son's 4th birthday. Staff was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. The kids loved feeding the adorable goats, playing on the playground and going for a hayride. The area was nice and shady all morning so it was comfortable even in the hot weather. Great value for the price, definitely would recommend.
We are fortunate to live so close to a place that offers so many fun seasonal things to do. We go pumpkin and apple picking every fall, and they have lots more to offer throughout the year. Today we did their socially distanced hayride to the Easter Bunny, which was a great option in a year where egg hunts aren't feasible. We never leave without stopping at the store for cider doughnuts and fresh local goods, and we usually get a bite to eat on the way home at their lunch counter.
My family and I come every fall for the apple picking and always have a blast. Super family friendly environment with mini train rides for kids and even some friendly goats to feed. The apples are amazing as well, we picked the biggest apples I've ever seen. Mustu apples the size of little pumpkins. Try to go early though (9:30ish) because it gets crowded
Great orchard for getting fresh fruit and veggies. They have a general store with lots of baked and fresh items for sale year round. They offer some special events throughout the year and are great for kids.
Cherries and strawberry donuts was the highlight of my day today at Highland Orchard. Thoroughly enjoyed this location and it?s market full of yummy pastries and a deli next door.
A Chester County staple. Great family place. Doughnuts are amazing! Apple cider is delicious. Plenty of local artisan offerings in the store.
Be aware. On their website, it does not say hayrides and cannon only on weekends. We brang our grandson for the maze. So the only thing to do on a weekday is apple picking, which is $3 per person just to go in the field. Bags start at $15 for a very small bag. Total $27 dollars for 7 apples Ridiculous. We traveled over an hour to get here. People were rude when we just tried to ask about the maze.
My son went here for a field trip and it's a really beautiful place. They have a playground for the kids and area where you can feed the goats. There is a farm market there that has a nice selection and a little sandwich shop nextdoor.
We had a fun time apple-picking with a variety of apples! The weekend is pretty busy as expected but still had tables to sit at.
Went on a school trip, the tour was very scenic and the guide/driver was great with the kids. The Market was reasonably priced and had a large selection of apples, even this late in the season.
Been coming here since I was little and it never disappoints. Everything from baked good to chips and salsa is delicious. Always have to feed the goats of course.
Bought a peach cobbler and when we brought it home the peaches were raw and uncooked. Took the pie back next expecting a simple courtesy of an exchange or money back. Was met with an excuse that ?you can?t cook the peaches? through. I?ve bought many pies from here and never was given such a sorry excuse. This rating is for the bakery manager and the poor customer service
Amazing quality at every turn you make. Everything is great including the apple cider donuts. Apple crumb and Peach crumb are delicious. Especially when you warm them up in the oven. Friendly staff to help you out with anything you need. Thank you Highland Orchards, Inc.
Great farm, delicious donuts and cute goats! Was a nice pit stop from our highway drive.
My family had a great time, overall. They just need to be clearer about there "Pet Policy". And consider getting an ATM. I understand that it's a farm. But, it's almost 2020??????????????
Highly recommend this farm -you will have a great experience ?? Kind and professional staff ?? Great market????
I truly comtemplated writing this but as a new mother I feel its only fair to warn families with littles what they are walking into...My family and I had absolutely disheartening experience I had today. I brought my son and mother here from Lancaster County to visit Highland Orchards. A place I knew, loved, and was full of fall festivities. (I actually worked here in High School) I have to say I will not be returning until serious changes happen. There are far too many bees, sinks where full with mulch and
Sorry if I sound like a Karen- I love highland orchards and have been coming here my whole life. It was a great experience today, however, we were ordering lunch and the lady making our sandwiches had a very bad attitude. She got annoyed when she had to ask us what we wanted on our sandwiches. She gave my sister a dirty look like we were a inconveniencing her.
Berry picking was fun, and food trucks on weekend make it a cool place to visit
Cider donuts are the best around. Parking is always a nightmare even though there is ample room. Rows end up being super tight to navigate especially with people walking down the lanes
Very nice place to spend time with your family. Reasonable prices. Great selection.
Super fantastic place to visit and apple pick ! They have bonfires and marshmallows which was the icing on the cake after .
Great place, apple cider doughnuts are incredible. Great place to take the family.
We ordered a TON of apple cider donuts for our wedding and they were a HIT!! It was so kind of them to have such a huge order ready early in the morning for us, and a fun surprise for our guests to have such unique appetizers! Thankful for a smooth pickup and freshness that lasted all day long.
