Food is fantastic! Best bakery in Southern Minnesota! This was my first visit here and it wasn't super busy but many people besides me, had a tougher time figuring out "the line" system. Staff seems like they were exhausted. All together a good experience but a bit of a hassle.

Great bakery with a good selection of items. Staff was friendly. I ordered a custard filled pastry, apple fritter and chocolate muffin. The apple fritter was lite and what I felt was the perfect amount of sweetness and apple. The chocolate muffin was moist and not heavy. Custard filled pastry just really hit the spot. Custard was creamy with a lite vanilla flavor. The 4 pastries were $9.75, well worth the price. Highly recommend.

Hanisch did our wedding cupcakes and they were amazing! We had 12 dozen and total with 8 varieties and they were all delicious, everyone loved them!

So my daughter came home and said everything looked different in the bakery today at Hanisch... I immediately thought, oh here we go... My mom actually knows the people here because they used to sit in her section at the Xcel for Wild games, so we planned to visit anyways. Had a good sandwich here, pretty expensive. The bread was good, and we went at a time that it wasn't super crowded. It's a very popular shop. The bakery counter was beautiful with loads of donuts, loaves of bread, and sweet treats. I think maybe the lunch offerings are not their primary business. I believe they're known for their donuts. I don't eat donuts, so I can't speak to their quality. It wasn't amazing, but we would definitely come back if in the area.

Stopped in for the first time and it was definitely worth the trip. Picked up a couple loaves of bread and a variety of different sweets. Kids enjoyed everything so far and the bread was delicious. Will return and highly recommend a visit.

We used Hanisch Bakery for our wedding in Sept 2023 and we couldn?t have been happier! From the cake tasting experience to the final product it was an enjoyable, stress-free and delicious process! Got there 20 min. after opening and there were 3 types of donuts in the case. The rest were on a baker's rack behind the counter and blocked from view. I had seen a donut in the case the day before and described it to the woman helping me. She blew me off and said what I could see was what they had available. This bakery is amazing I was planning a community chili cook off and needed some cinnamon rolls I contacted Bill at the bakery and was able to get 200 rolls ordered for our event the day of the event came and we got our rolls they were amazing! My son and I also got a donut to go bakery was busy but orderly staff was very helpful and friendly kept the line moving very quickly we are definitely going to keep coming back year after year for our rolls for the yearly cook offs well worth the drive!!

Great food and the coffee is good. We had the turkey, cranberry, and walnut wrap with a side of pasta salad, which I really enjoyed. Both the wrap and pasta salad were yummy. I had a pumpkin spice latte with almond milk and my friend had a pumpkin spice chai latte. They were both good, but I would try something else next time. The basket has so many incredible options. The donuts are great! It?s your standard bakery shop. My issue is with the employees. A lot of the gals that work up front dont look happy and I think I found out why the last time I was in. Popular bakery in a pretty, downtown location. They had an expansive selection of cookies, pastries, cakes, sweet breads, and more. We got a date bar, cookie, and a donut (we HAD to sample a few things) and all were enjoyed heartily. We got mostly classic flavors that were done well, all at a fair price.

We got donuts here before dinner, and we ended up rushing back before they closed to get more after dinner (they were that good!). Every single donut we tried was amazing, I don?t think you can make a wrong decision. We get donuts about once a week around the twin cities, and these won hands down. The things I had were all sweet. The donuts the cake pops and the coffee drink.. All was very very sweet. But the location is nice and the decor was neat.

After visiting for my first time today I now fully understand why this is the BEST bakery in Minnesota. The aroma of fresh pastries and bread emanated out on to the sidewalk truly drawing customers in. I ended up trying four different pastries and found each one to be uniquely delightful! I'll certainly be back! If you're feeling adventurous, try the maple bacon donut and a cup of joe.

The place is very small and gets packed when it is busy. They do have a lot of variety of different pastry from donuts to cookies and bread. I ordered different kind of donuts, and they were delicious. I will definitely come back here whenever I am visiting Redwing again.
