Last weekend the kids wanted donuts and we stopped here on a whim. BEST decision!!! Kids asked to return again today and this place did not disappoint. This shop is truly a little gem! Not only is the staff kind but the flavor and freshness are top tier. Definitely will be returning again and again!

I was very surprised at the flavor of these donuts. They are definitely a delicious amazing quality made set of donuts. I got a dozen of a bunch of different kinds. They were all honestly amazing. I cannot thank you enough for being able to handle a special request order today. You truly made the day of someone who needed their spirits lifted. The dozen apple fritters were outstanding and we cannot wait to come back again.

I really had a cravings for a good donut so I probably had to drive by 15 dunkin?s to get to Gurnee donuts. I ordered a dozen to bring home for everyone. Nobody finished one. They were dry and crumbly. I have had better day old donuts. Some donuts looked like they were over cooked or the oil hadn?t been changed in a month. The donuts here used to be pretty good but I have not been here in a lot of years. I think maybe different owners trying to cheap their wat out.

Venue may not have the most extensive variety of donuts but possibly the tastiest and finest quality of any donuts I've ever had. I can't rate their coffee since I've never tried it but their fresh-made donuts are to-die-for. I'll definitely have to request a cup of Joe on the next visit. I love donuts! I wanted to start with that so you know this is REAL! The "UBE" purple oreo is a really good donut. It's different from anything I've ever had. It's hard to explain, but it's worth trying for sure. Their cinnamon rolls are also very good.

Really great donuts! Had a maple bacon long John. This was probably the best maple bacon long John I?ve ever had. Also tried a chocolate frosted yeast donut and a blueberry cake donut. Everything tasted wonderful. What a fantastic donut shop.

Finally made it to the famous Gurnee Donuts a 8 am on a rainy Sunday morning. There were a lot of people waiting in line; always a good sign! The donuts ?? are fluffy, crispy, and have a lot of flavor. The staff is courteous and worked fast. We will definitely go there again

Gurnee is so lucky to have this shop. I drive out of my way to get these donuts because they're far above the rest of the competition. When you walk in you know you've entered an establishment that's been here for a while and has endeared itself to the community.

Great donuts mass selection unfortunately they never have coffee when I walk in. Even though 2 coffee pots are there they're always empty. The cardboard trays provided to carry coffee out are very weak and cannot support any large coffees without collapsing.

Actually had my first donut at the salon next door Legacy Salon and Spa that just opened. I had a chocolate with sprinkles donut and it was very fresh and delicious. I look forward to my next visit to the plaza!

I stopped in about 30 minutes before they were about to close on Friday and received great service and still found a great selection of donuts still available. Great prices as well. I really enjoyed the Ube cookie crumb donut.

We are new to the neighbor and we found this place on a Saturday looking for coffee since our machine was in a box somewhere in the garage but, what we found was probably one of the best doughnuts places that we have been, so fresh and soft that you will die for it, the different flavors will make you hard to choose on which one you want but, don't worry all of them they are Incredibles, we are so lucky to have you guys few minutes driving

Very disappointed. We came as soon as they opened and they didn't have many donuts. They cater to on line orders first and not make extra for there walk in costumers. Highly upset I drove 30 minutes and we couldn't get good donuts

Really confused by the positive reviews. The employee was incredibly rude to everyone, and the donuts are some of the worst I?ve ever had. The Boston cream had almost no filling, and the maple bar was more like a loaf of bread with a very thin layer of icing. Normally, I prefer yeast donuts, but these ones were so thick and bready and not the soft, melt-in-your-mouth consistency I expect. Family owned, with the best donuts I've ever had in gurnee or chicago. Just skip out on the coffee or hot chocolate, they don't really specialize in that. But the donuts make up for it 100%.

My first time going there yesterday. The donuts were not very tasty at all. Jewel has the best so far. I'll never recommend Gurnee Donuts. It's a wait of money. $16.00 a dozen. Jewels are $8.00 a dozen. And they taste a lot better.

Stayed at Great Wolf & searched on line for a non-chain donut place. Found this gem. Skip Dunkin donuts & drive 5 min to this delicious donut heaven.

Super cute local hole-in-the-wall donut shop, they sell out of a lot of the fancier ones pretty early but they're all great! We had the red velvet, chocolate frosted, fruity pebbles, and the twist! The twist was definitely my favorite but they were all super tasty! Service is also super fast which makes it a great pitstop for a quick breakfast on the go!

Best donuts I?ve had from this part of Lake County. Not as good or fairly priced as Wheeling Donuts, but that?s a drive for me. Fritter, sour cream, and cherry were all good. Didn?t care for the bacon maple long John, but I tend to not like bacon on donuts. I think the maple bacon long John would be better with some vanilla cream inside.

If you are fortunate enough to get a warm Maple Bacon Long john donut it'll change your life ?? 10/10 on quality, selection, amd freshness. IMHO top tier donut shop in IL.

We literally live in Wisconsin and drive almost 25-30 mins to get these AMAZING donuts. The staff are beyond friendly. This is also a definite stop on the way to Great America, too.

They are never open. They never answer the phone. I've been here twice at noon and its closed. No sign or reason why they are not open. Online it says they are open until 2 pm For take out. Lies. At leases put a sign up giving a reason to be closed. Don't want to waste anyones time driving here for it to be closed.

Fantastic, classic donut shop. A wide variety of from scratch donuts that ranges from a classic plain to fruity pebbles on top. I would recommend getting there early. The parking lot is tight and getting in and out can be difficult. Well worth your time. I highly recommend it.

The donuts are delicious. My boyfriend and I got 12 donuts just to give them all a try. The apple fritters are awesome. They are crunchy, gooey, chewy, deliciousness in all the right ways. I asked the staff how many different donuts they had (to determine how many we should get because we drove from Chicago) and she responded with ?a lot?. I didn?t really appreciate the response because it wasn?t helpful and I was trying to see what we needed but I didn?t want it to affect the star rating bc the donut

This was our first try. Sunday early morning in fall weather, there was good crowd to support the local store. The smell was great. I didn't have the donuts. My daughter loved it. There were good variety of donuts. I was expecting bagels... Spoiled by the chain stores...

I was really excited to try this place. I waited outside in a long line to order my donuts. I got inside and finally made my way up to order and was extremely disappointed by 9:30 am they had almost no options to pick from. I asked for all the flavors I had seen online and the girl working informed me they were out of them. So I picked a half dozen of donuts and when I was paying a saw a tray of new different flavors. i was so excited to try the ube donuts, so 5 of them, but i was so disappointed. they tasted like regular donuts and gave me a headache after because of how sweet they were (taking into consideration that i love sweets). another downside is to how expensive they were. $19 for a dozen?! well, ya know, supporting small businesses during these times, but not worth it if you want the ube donuts. not worth the hype so this was a one time purchase :(

The donuts weren't soft! I heated it, but after 5 min it became hard again. So the batter wasnt correctly made! It had the sweet taste but definitely not unique! Wouldn't return! Staff was helpful and service was nice!

Great local doughnut shop. Made on site and fresh. Not sure how it rates compared to other local fresh made doughnut shops, but WAY better than a Dunkin! The apple fritters are awesome, but be ready to split with someone... they're more than any single person should eat.

I love everything about this place. The service is always warm and friendly, the donuts are always crunchy and moist. They are the absolute best donuts in the area! I am grateful they stayed in business after their fire and are back better than ever. Just writing this review is making my mouth water for more.

The maple bacon donuts are aMAZing! When we got there this morning at 7:30am the bacon had just been fried and it tasted so fresh and crunchy on a warm maple donut. Everyone needs to try at least once in their life!

This place used to save my hide when I was running late to work, many years ago. I stopped by to try the ube donut. A bit too pricey, but SO GOOD. It?s cheaper to buy a half-dozen box than an individual doughnut. The staff is really cool, as well. Make sure to get there early if you want the ube donut (Saturday and Sunday).

Nice place for coffee and donuts, they won an award some time ago for their donuts. Stop by early on a weekend if you want their famous donuts, they run out fast. My favorite is apple fitters, amazing taste and crispyness. You get discount per dozen but totally worth it even if you want to buy one.
