Food - picked up 4 doughnuts to share. A vanilla cake, a blueberry maple cake, a vanilla sour cream, and a cinnamon roll doughnut. The cake doughnuts were very soft and flavorful. The cinnamon roll was good and like a glazed donut. The sour cream had a nice crunch and great flavor. My personal favorite from the bunch. The jelly, fritter, raised plain, and raised Oreo donuts were delicious! Although the old fashioned were more on the dense side. We got a half dozen and understandably had to get the fritter as an add on, since they are huge. The fritter had a good crisp exterior and soft interior, but was sparse in blueberry filling. Honestly, for our first experience at the Greenbush bakery, I would totally come here again with all my friends and family, the cake donuts, and regular donuts are on top of their game and not to mention their ginormous apple. Fritters you know they taste so good super fresh made daily 10/10 would come again.

The donuts and the service here is 10/10. I?ve not been a fan of sweets for breakfast but the donuts and coffee were perfect together. Donuts are fresh, light and sweet and a perfect accompaniment to coffee. Service was impeccable. I appreciate them changing gloves when I was packing donuts for someone who had an allergy. Best donuts around!!! My favorite is the glazed sour cream old fashions which come in multiple flavors. Next would be the fritters, which are literally as big as a plate. They have apple, cherry and blueberry fritters, with the last two available only if ordered?they make extra if there is an order and put those out for sale. We order our fritters ahead and ask to have them made crispy. The service is fast and friendly. They also sell coffee. Get yourself to GreenBush!!!!

No lie, one of the best donuts on the planet. Incredibly fair prices, and even better donuts. Every other donut shop is Little League and this donut shop is Major league. No donuts that has ever entered my mouth can even compare to the wonders of the shop. If you were within a 500 mile vicinity of the shop, I recommend that you stop by you will not regret it.

Absolutely some of the best donuts I've ever had, period. I lived in Madison for most of my life and wondered if it was just hometown bias. Having tried donuts from lots of other excellent bakeries in other cities I still think these sit above all of them to me.

The only all-Kosher run doughnut shop we've ever visited, and to be honest, if these doughnuts are Kosher, we wish there were more in the world! The sour cream doughnuts are favored by far, and you can't go wrong with any of the flavors they offer... plain, cherry, blueberry, chocolate, and apple cinnamon. I do wish the doughnuts were labeled in the display case to make it easier to tell the staff what we wanted, but they were very good about telling us the different flavors for us newbies!

I've been going here since at least the early nineties. It's on the other side of the street now, and farther west a bit on Regent. I got a giant apple fritter for my wife, and some cream and custard filled donuts for the kids. I've been to almost as many donut spots as Homer Simpson, and I still haven't found one that can beat Greenbush. Mmmmmhmmm... Greenbush donuts.

Hands down the best donuts in Madison. I love their glazed old fashioned, and can probably eat a whole dozen of them in one go! They're just out of this world. Came here for my first time on a Tuesday morning and stepped into a very quiet store with two full cases brimming with glittering (not literally) donuts. Cashier gave me a tour of the options. Both the cashier and assistant were very friendly.

We stopped into the new location of Greenbush and really enjoyed it! The new one seems a bit less industrial but is large and clean and more welcoming. These are the best donuts in Madison and I?m happy to have them available no matter where I get them from!

Can't go wrong with fresh. I Always like the options. Wait times have always been acceptable. Cake donuts are wonderful along with the apple fritters. I do not eat raised donuts so I cannot rate those. Will definitely go back.

I?d say these are the local step-up from other conventional and gas station doughnuts. I like the chocolate glazed, the same dough as the long john, and the chocolate with peanuts on top. I wish they had long johns on weekdays too, but the regular donuts will do. The dough is very soft, almost squishy, and not too sweet like many Kwik Trip donuts. Seriously, what is going on here. I swung in last Tuesday at noon and there was about 5% of the racks had donuts on them and I was wanting to grab a quick dozen to take back to the office. Their donuts have been a mainstay since I was a freshman at UW. I've never had anything from their bakery I didn't like and the donuts stay fresh longer than any chain donut place you can buy from. They also just catered the desserts for my wedding and we heard nothing but compliments from our guests. It was a pleasure planning and ordering from them and I'd recommend it to anyone that wants to do small individual desserts for their event.

Delicious freshly made doughnuts and they're kosher too! There's a nice selection and after tasting many of them I think my favorites are the blueberry doughnut (which tastes more deliciously blueberry-ish than any other blueberry doughnut I've had) and the apple fritter (which was bigger than my head and I shared with 3 other people).

We love Green bush! My wife stared coming here when she was an undergrad, and ever since the early 2000s, we've been coming here as a family. The doughnuts are always fresh and delicious, but let me tell you about the apple fritters - they are huge, like the size of dinner plates, and absolutely incredible. We always make sure to call ahead to secure a fritter because they tend to sell out quickly. It's definitely worth the effort though!

For some reason raised donuts are not as common as cake donuts here in Madison. Greenbush however, has both in a delightful array of fillings, flavors, and choices. We picked custard-filled for my partner, and chocolate old-fashioned for me. We both loved our choices and it hit the spot. The fact that it's Kosher, serves hamentashen and sufganiyot seasonally, and if today was any indication, serves delicious delicious things on the daily, makes me very happy.

I?ve had donuts from famous places like Voodoo donuts in Portland, and I?ve had donuts with whole gummy worms and tons of big heaping toppings, and I?ve had warm apple cider donuts all over the area, but these are the best donuts anywhere. One of the absolute best bakeries in Madison. Fresh made donuts every day! They are open late on the weekends too. And they have a parking lot despite being in the middle of downtown Madison. This is some of the best donuts that you will ever put in your mouth on!!! These are not your average Dunkin' Donuts, they are actually making their donuts in eye view do you know wht your getting. Such a big variety of donuts to choose from. They are delicious, big mouth watering donuts. They also have good coffee as well. Had a craving for donuts while traveling and looked up local donut places and stumbled upon this place. The girl working recognized my fianc??s obscure band shirt while helping us pick out a variety of flavors to try. She was amazing and super helpful and as a result the donuts that we tried were probably the BEST donuts we have ever had, the maple- blueberry old fashioned was my absolute favorite.

The donuts are amazing and for a great price! But the customer service is so horrible. The guy at the bakery is very rude. When we asked for what the different flavors of donuts he was getting irritated. there are no signs there with the flavors so it's hard to know what's in each donut. If the guy was better, I would give this place 5 stars. Please change your customer service.

If somebody asks what the best donut is in Madison, it is not up for debate. Greenbush all the way. Not even close and not up for debate. You say otherwise and I WILL FIGHT YOU!!! Service always great and friendly. Only bad marks I could give are that I have had A COUPLE times I arrived and they were pretty well sold out of everything. (To be fair, this hasn't happened since they relocated across the street.) The coffee there is also a bit meh. But you're probably here for the donuts, so... they're for
