Shout out to Doug for making me the most excellent maid of honor for my best friend?s wedding! Long story short: the wedding cake did not make it up to Maine for my friend?s wedding, and I was tasked with finding a cake in a state I?d hardly been to. I called Grant?s Bakery on a wing and a prayer, and Doug was able to help me by making a two-tier wedding cake with decor that matched the wedding?s theme in mere hours. He is genuinely kind and extremely talented. The cake was gorgeous and SO delicious - the c

after 11 years...everthing is still the same.....we got blueberry loaf , maccaroni salad, ham salad, and of course coleslaw.....

I ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for a special gathering of friends for out 50th college reunion. The cake was spectacular, very delicious and the decoration came out beautifully. Everyone loved it. Thanks to the Grant crew for making a special occasion even better!

Our wedding cake was beautiful, but most importantly it tasted delicious! Doug talked us through the different options, gave us samples of some of the unique flavors, and made the decision process easy. We had a two-tier cake for cutting and served slices to some of our guests and we had a table of cupcakes too. We had to-go boxes so guests could take a cupcake as a wedding favor and there were zero leftovers at the end of the night. We didn't bother freezing any for our anniversary - we'll just plan to get

My wife and I planned an informal wedding reception which was intended to be a social gathering for our two families several months after we got married. We went with a non-traditional theme which included cupcakes a wedding topper cake for the dessert. We chose Grant's Bakery to do the topper cake and worked with Gary, one of their cake makers. Gary walked us through their process, portfolio and what options were available to us. He understood our theme and produced a white and gold themed topper cake whi

Loved this place. My family and I love this place we get all our holiday goodies here. So when it came to ordering my wedding cake I went right here. The price was so good compared to alot of other wedding cakes. Good delivery looked great. Got small desserts. I didn't even get to est any they were gone!! Everyone loved them!

17$ for 1 medium container of egg salad and another 17$ for a medium container of chicken salad. I used to love going to this place as a kid went back there recently and didn?t realize the price I was paying until I went back in to comment on why it was so much not going back. The egg salad was good, but the chicken salad tasted like it got blended into a pur?e.

Looking for a quick breakfast saw mixed reviews but decided to give them a shot and boy was I glad I did! From the outside place looks pretty basic hole in the wall type joint. Go inside and there's a delightful array of goodies, after much debate I went with 2 Danish one blueberry/cheese and one apple , a lemon cookie, and the brownie creams 2 plain 2 peanut butter. The cookie didn't make it out of the parking lot. Frist bite I was like it's OK second bite gave a burst of lemony goodness soft and a little

We finally took a minute to stop in and see what the hype from everyone over the years was all about! We ordered a dozen of turnovers (raspberry, blueberry, apple and strawberry) for my daughters bday breakfast celebration. Was the absolute best decision ever. They were simply amazing. Soft, light and crispy texture and the filling in the inside is the perfect amount yet sooooo yummy. Warm them up to you won't be disappointed! We also ordered one a chocolate cake with raspberry filling for my daughters 1

Fantastic quality. Wish they were nice to their people. Ever watch the ladies go crazy dealing with 50+ customers? Amazing staff, management walks through and screams at them to be better. Those people work their buts off and get told daily his much they aren't good at it. Appreciate your workers.

Despite being Xmas eve they were surprisingly not sold out of many things and we were able to pick up a great selection. Have always loved Grant's pies but never remember to order.

I picked up a premade carrot cake and it got rave reviews. The workers had a great attitude and obviously enjoyed working there. I will come here again.

Grants is a staple of Lewiston. I can?t imagine not stopping here a couple times a month. When I go, my usuals are the English muffin bread, apple turnovers, fruit danish, and of course the beans on Saturday. I said for a couple years they needed to raise their prices, I don?t know how they were making a profit! They did this year (2025) and it?s still worth it.

Wanted a maple walnut cake. Turns out that's only available during a specific time but they offered to do a marble cake with maple frosting Was neat identical and tasted amazing!

Best bakery around! They make everything inhouse fresh. I ordered my husband a red velvet cake. It was delicious and we savored every bite. I highly recommend Grant's bakery. Also try the cream cheese Danish, it is to die for.

Yummy, yummy, yummy! Very friendly staff, many options to choose from.

Yummmm!!! Got a special birthday treat for my son and he was not disappointed!

We stopped by to get a few whoopie pies, which were delicious! I couldn't stop myself from buying a box of their other pastries - also delicious! I hadn't had a bismark since I was a kid. Awesome! Raspberry puff pastries were great. I haven't been to as good a pastry bakery since I was a kid.

I can not thank Grants enough for their amazing customer service!! I stopped to hard and ruined the cake I purchased 5 minutes prior. They fixed it without hesitation and were so sweet the entire time. Thank you Doug and team!!

Don't miss out on this hidden gem! Old fashioned pastry filled with cream and a variety of fruit fillings. Stuffed cookies, cream horns, breads, and pies. And the variety of slow roasted salted nuts served warm from the roasting case can not be beat!

Grant's is exactly what you think of when you think of a traditional family bakery. Everyone on staff is incredibly kind and accommodating and the options are varied and delicious! They have everything from ornate cakes, to delectable cookies, and much much more. I could not recommend them enough! Pro-tip: try the mocha roll, it's next level good.

Everyone at Grant's is warm, friendly, and welcoming. We have been coming here for years. Pies and cakes / cupcakes are always scrumptious. And the online ordering makes life that much easier in our busy lives.

Grant's Bakery has great customer service! Their beans are the best around! Saturday beans are on special! Their desserts and pastries are awesome! I love this bakery they make the best cakes and pies!whether it's a meat pie or apple pie. You will not be disappointed! They are open Tuesday to Saturday 7a.m. to 6p.m. Another great part of their customer service is they will go out of their way, above and beyond to make you and your kids happy! They are very family oriented and professional at the same time.

We ordered our wedding cake from them. When we went to pick it up they had a pink ribbon trim instead of the green I had requested. The man (I did not get his name) who came out to talk to me was very kind about the misunderstanding and insisted he could fix it very easily. We only had to wait about 10 minutes while he quickly whipped up a color, had me check it first and cover over the pink ribbon. The cake was DELICIOUS! Raspberry filling with raspberry & chocolate cake & buttercream icing. Our guests lov

Rude staff is one thing but when the owner/manager is rude that sets the tone for the entire store. I understand you are busy and probably stressed but being rude and snarky to someone coming in check out what you offer NOT good customer service or a strong business model. I was going to place an order for out store new years eve party and thought I would start a new tradition buy getting everyone in my store donuts, muffins, etc every Saturday. Won't be getting it at Grant's.

Friendly helpful staff. Pastries, cakes, cookies muffins and biscuits oh my. Everything looks so good. Been in Maine since August of last year this is the only place I could get a bearclaw. It was wonderful, should have got more. Will definitely be back for more of anything they make.

First time visiting and found some fun sweets for visiting grandkids?will become a favorite local place!

I went to the store while I was in Lewiston. They have blueberry whopie pies with lemon filling. They are so good. Had to get a few. Gave some away to. Just can not get enough from this place. Totally recommend it any time. Give it a try when you are in town.

Wonderful, multi-generational family business. Excellent food and goodies, well worth the prices charged. If a mistake is made they make it right and keep you as a happy customer.

Saturday special is a traditional baked Bean dinner with coleslaw, hotdogs, beans with Onion, yeast rolls etc

Ham salad has zero flavor and they put like green peppers in it?!?! It?s disgusting and truly not a Maine traditional ham salad, which I would?ve expected from a place like this! Overpriced for the quality of food. $20 for a pie that feeds 2 people and the quality is sub par with most of their items. My family has grown up eating from this place but I tell you the quality in their food has declined drastically! I?m not even sure that they make any of this stuff anymore - i?m pretty sure that they?re outsou

If you haven't been, you need to go!!! I absolutely love their cakes and other yummy treats. But wait there's more... They also have salmon pie, fresh baked beans and more... they're a staple of the city of Lewistown.

Nice bakery. We usually buy bread. This time, we tried the pastries. You did not disappoint us!!

Always love going to Grant?s! Their date squares are the closets to my grandmother?s. I can?t forget about their other baked goods are awesome. Been going to them for our wedding anniversary cake for 5 years now and is just like the night of our wedding. Thank You

Best Whoopie Pie I've ever had ??

We went in search of goodies the Saturday before Easter and much to my surprise they had plenty have delicious options in stock! I loved everything and I even bought a chicken pot pie for a different day. This is my new go to bakery.

Love their pies and cakes. I get all of my kids birthday cakes here in the flavor combos they like so that is at least 5 cakes a year. Holidays alway grab a chocolate cream pie which is amazing and a cheesecake. Oh my lord the cheesecake is really really good. Pumpkin cheese cake is amazing too. When I was pregnant with my youngest son I had special cupcakes ordered filled with blue frosting for my older children to bite into to find out they were having a baby brother. They knew exactly what I needed and t

This is one of my favorite "must-go-to" places when visiting Lewiston. Everything is always exceptional and far exceeds my expectations. From the amazing meat, chicken and salmon pies to the beautiful selection of tasty baked goods , everything I've tried has been a fun and fabulous treat to our taste buds. May all who come to know of their goodness be abundantly blessed.

I got my daughter's 16th birthday ?? from them on Saturday, with a few pictures put on it. It was so delicious and looked amazing. ???The young man helped me fill up some other ???? I brought in as well as more from their store. They made our day a success so I want to say Thank you all for all your hard work and dedication to your customers. We will be back again.

We had a fundraiser for our community school with a large order of pies, and they were amazing to work with! Great customer service, great pies, and great communication!

Great pastries, cakes and cookies! Homemade beans are amazing! On Saturdays you can get their bean special that includes hotdogs, coleslaw and fresh rolls. A tradition my family had enjoyed for years. Worth giving it a try for yourself.

Since we have only lived in the area a short time we had not yet experienced Grants Bakery. Today we changed all that. What a great shop. Friendly, patient staff that understood our wanting know about all their items. We picked out some treats for us and they even make dog biscuits. So we picked up a couple to try on our furbaby. It will be hard not to stop in every time we drive by, but we will be stopping in again soon!

Took my boys hear while they were growing up... Now its my grandson. I love the cakes and pastries, the staff is awesome. It was my grandsons 3rd birthday and he had a hard time making up his mind, the young lady was patient and accommodating. And even offered some suggestions. She totally indulged him and let him look at everything. He ended up with a chocolate cupcake and a cake pop! My grandson did a great job waiting until we were home to eat his treat but it didn't last long! Thank you Grants for alway

Coming home from docs at St. MARYS and needed a snack...brownie. date Square and date filled cookie..all great..nice crust . Only complaint was date filling squished out when I bit into it...but I'd buy again :-)

1st time customer! Picked up a cake for a birthday. They made it last minute for us! Great service and there was a line when we walked in. Everything looked wonderful and our cake was great!

Love, love, love Grants Bakery!! Had my wedding cake done there...wow! Love the roasted nuts they offer as well. Have to mention the home made baked beans on Saturdays too.... yummy! Great family owned business!

One of the best (if not THE best) bakeries in LA. My only qualm is their hours of operation. Typically, the people I know and myself prefer to do business on the weekends, but they are closed! They're closed on Mondays also... It's pretty frustrating but the quality makes up for this. If they were open more, I'd give the 5 stsrs.

It's literally a treat to go in there, great selection and consistent quality. Honestly the best buttercream frosting around!

Okay, Grant's Bakery just rocks! It's a family business that makes you feel like you're part of the family. We've had them cater a bunch of lunches at our workplace to consistent rave reviews! Mac and cheese, chicken pot pies, finger rolls - all delicious. And their pies and cakes are so yummy!

Honestly surprised this place is consistently rated so highly. Most of their food items are very average and/or bordering on mediocre. Tried the potato salad, coleslaw, cannolis, filled cookies, and an apple coffee cake. Only thing worth a 2nd purchase was the coffee cake. Have had their whoopie pies in the past, which were dry with a mildly sweet filling (the latter of which is up to preference, but I didn't like it.) Maybe these particular items aren't their specialty, just seems odd for a bakery to fall

This my extended family's go-to for special occasions. Delicious pastries and beautiful cakes with great service!

Awesome pastries, cakes, and anything baked sweet. Also like the daily specials they offer. I've even had their sandwich spreads which are also wonderful for filling finger rolls.

I went there for the first time. Very bad baked goods ! I bought a choc roll slice with frosting it had clearly been refrigerated and the filling tasted like lard. I bought a choc cupcake with white frosting that was equally disappointing. I bake myself all from scratch and my baked goods would put theirs to shame. I guess people don't seem to know what they are eating. The best baked goods are those you make yourself. Will never go there again !

A must stop whenever I'm in the area. Molasses, ginger cookies, eclairs and baked beans w onions and salt pork on Sat are on my list to get. Ok, I may get a few other things like a blueberry turnover or puff pastry. So delicious

I called Grant?s Bakery on a Monday - a day they?re closed but I didn?t know that. A gentleman answered and made a birthday cake for my son?s birthday party even though they were closed. And as always, it was very good.

Get all our special desserts here. Helpful staff, delicious baked goods, fantastic baked beans. Wish they had more gluten free options (just frozen cupcakes). Went a lot more often before I was gf, now we regularly get the baked beans- Jacob's Cattle is my fav!

Wasn't what I expected. It is more like a commercial bakery experience. The raspberry roll cake was delicious. I purchased half a dozen cookies and almost everyone took a bite and tossed the rest of their cookie. It seemed like there was something that just wasn't right in the mixture.

They are pricey now. The cakes use to taste better. I recently had a memorial cake made for my Son. I was disappointed that they couldn't put Cancer ribbons on the cake. I was also charged for bringing in Cancer ribbons, that I was encouraged to do. I would have put them on myself if I had known. What once was a tradition for my family has recently ended.

Grant's has been my favorite bakery for 25+years! I can not make a trip to Lewiston without stopping for eclairs and cream horns! ?????lol They have fresh baked beans, roasted nuts, breads, cakes, pastries galore, yum yum yum!!!

Grant's Bakery has been around for as long as I can remember, and I love the service and selection of treats. My family always stopped in on Saturdays for the bean special...a tradition for many Lewiston natives. Their catering and cakes/pies are top notch.

They have everything here! Roasted nuts, salads, ice cream, cards plus all the cakes, whoopies, cookies and pies. Its all soooo good, im going to try everything they have! They have a baking area in the lower level that is the same size as the retail space. They do an epic job.

Loved the twins cakes!

I got so carried away that I needed help to get everything to my car!! From chicken pie, bisquits, icecrean, cookies and all types of wonderful pastries ! They have pies - not just what was on your list, but in at least Two if not Three SIZES. What a temptation of a place!! Not a place for testing willpower! Everyone is friendly and helpful- what more could you need?

Just order a wedding cake.

Very nice counter help. Hot beans are great. Good choices. German chocolate cake was our choice. Did not disappopint

Saturday night hot baked beans, Cole slaw and a fig fruit bar. I really enjoyed the 1/2 pint option for myself to eat before doing a little grocery shopping. I don't get the chance to swing by Grants, but when you need some Grants food you'll find yourself quickly switching lanes to pull in. The service is friendly and courteous. The prices are very fair.

Always the best service. Saturday baked beans are awesome. Oh and you just can't walk out without satisfying your sweet tooth ??

Best home cooked food around!! We have traveled from Winslow for years to purchase their wonderful food!! Highly recommend.

Bought some baked beans and coleslaw and of course some delicious pastries. Really nice people here. Definitely recommend when you?re in the area.

Excellent cakes and treats. Love their cole slaw and beans. Love that they sell yesterday's cake by the slice at a discount. The staff are very friendly and know their products.

The hardest part is showing restraint and not buying everything. Old style Neapolitans, eclairs, pies. Beautiful cakes. We visit family in Lewiston several times a year, and every trip we stop by Grant's for a treat ... it's a must.

We go to Grant's for our cakes, cupcakes and other special treats. The team there is so friendly, I feel like part of the family. The raspberry cake is amazing!

Winderful staff, excellent selection. Always fast service. They offer sugar free and gluten free items and even dog biscuits. They also have a discount table for day old pastries and do ala carte items like homemade beans, cole slaw and hot dogs or salmon or chicken pies plus roasted hot nuts. Also only place to find homemade brown bread

Love this bakery! My favorite is the beautifully decorated delicious cakes and pastries. The staff is always pleasant. Stop in you will be glad you did!

Been here Multiple times love the Bakery I mean the food is always amazing and just plain Good will always go there for my Bakery good no doubt and the service if very friendly and they always have something your gonna want and then some !!!

We got a wedding cake. Our wedding was yesterday. What we wanted was not what we got. It look so fake and and known Professional did it. My 6 year old daughter could have made this better and the top of the cake Were you cut it off its post of a piece of cardboard underneath of it. So it dont destroy the rest of the cake. Ya that didnt happen. This was Supposed to be the special part of the wedding. And it was not. My wife was very up set. She didnt even want it. If I could rate no star I would.

Love that place, got wedding cake from there. Everything is nicely put together and has a lot of options for cakes/cupcakes. Got an special made cake that i order that day and it turned out great.

Usually this place is outstanding. Got some stuff the other day and as always it was great...but the red velvet whoopie was anemic. Where's the filling??

The workers were friendly. I ordered a beautiful Birthday cake and went back for a delicious container of mac and cheese!

I?ve ordered meat pies from Grants Bakery on several occasions. I?ve found their products to be as my meme? and mother used to make. Thank you, for being so kind in keeping such cherished memories alive. Sincerely, DONALD A NADEAU Gorham,Me 04038

Whoopie's were excellent, especially red velvet whoopie pie.

Amazing goodies !!!! Tasted yummy !!!!! Really good prices ...I thought they were so expensive so I never went here ..big mistake ..im poor ...but honestly they have really good prices ...this bakery is amazing and totally affordable ..and the service was great and the food was amazing .!!!!

We love their chicken pot pies and desserts. Always friendly service ??

There isn't a better bakery around there. I'm in Florida right now and miss their baked goods, yeah even my dogs miss the treats they bake. ??

Family has been going for three generations. Always get excellent service, greeted by first name, and orders done quick and beautifully. Even the line at Christmas went fast!

Me and my now husband, got a cake for our wedding. I?m lost for words for how wonderful it tasted and also how beautiful it looked. The $ is worth it, highly recommend!

They make THE BEST cakes around!! And the prices are great!

Ordered baked beans. It was so-so. Two weeks before the last time, they were so bad, we threw the beans in the trash. Going back eating canned beans.
