Grand Slam Donuts

Grand Slam Donuts

Reviews Summary

Grand Slam Donuts receives mixed reviews, with strong opinions on both sides. Many praise the fresh, varied donut selection, friendly service, and late-night availability, particularly highlighting specialties like cronuts and apple fritters. However, others criticize inconsistent pricing, rude staff (especially an older woman), stale donuts, and poor customer service, including dismissive or condescending behavior. Positive experiences often mention warmth and generosity, while negative ones cite unprofessionalism and overpriced items. The divide suggests quality may depend on timing or staff interactions.

Customer Reviews

Just bought some donuts and had the worst experience. Older lady working there had the rudest attitude. Any question we had about the donuts she?d respond in a condescending way and would laugh as if we?re idiots. Never coming back.

The two sisters and their family that run this donut shop are awesome. Their Vietnamese cold coffee is to die for and the pastries are delicious. I go to this shop before I go back home almost every morning.

Great service. I wanted French crullers, they had some and I had them hold two. I ended up having so many thirty?s delay me and I didn?t go till way later. However they held them the whole time and I really appreciated that and to add they gave me a free mini French cruller which made my whole night. And yes to answer your questions, they were the best!!!! Definitely recommend. So yummy ;)

Go support this family business. I was short a dollar and they let me slide .. not a lot of people do that these days. Plus The donuts are fresh and good

Horrible place!! First time there and the last time there! I returned the donuts as well! Nasty place! Donuts looked and smelled bad too! Thank goodness I didn?t drink this before I saw the ants in my cappuccino!! I can?t believe this!! ???? please do NOT go here!!!

Use to come here all the time but moved away. We live over an hour away but came here today. The same owner is here and remembered us still. Everything has been renovated well.

Never had an opportunity to try the donuts. I walked in and was not greeted. Therefore, I refuse to buy. I walked back in to try again and explain I feel more comfortable buying when greeting...she still didn't care. I left.

Ii used to be a regular, but a couple of years ago, the recipes were changed, and the chase wasn't very good. Crumb donuts look like they use everything that drops off of the other donuts and put on the crumb donuts. (Wet and gooy). I made the mistake of giving them another chance. The two counter people were so busy talking, they got my order wrong. I found out later that the donuts were undercooked and inedible. I will never be back.

I don?t live near the area but I do errands once in a while in Rancho & I make a pit stop to pick up donuts. Service is the best, this family owned business treats you like no one else will. You?re greeted & well taken care. Definitely will continue stopping by whenever I can. Donuts are always fresh & delicious. ????

I love this place! Thier donuts are always so soft and fresh. They have such a great selection and the customer service is above and beyond!

I?ve been coming to grand slam donuts for a while and I?ve never had a complaint except for today. I went in with my little sisters and the woman behind the counter was complimenting them telling them how beautiful they were. However she seemed to favor my younger sister and told her she had a beautiful smile and over and over kept talking about how pretty she was. She then turned to my other sister and told her to smile for her, which she did (she?s 7 so she is missing some of her baby teeth, she?s also co

Been coming here a long time. The owner has now turned over operations to the next generation and the friendliness and personality has still remained top notch. Donuts are fresh and tasty. J is very friendly.

10/10 would recommend. I didn't even know this place existed for the first couple of years I lived in rancho. Years wasted IMO. The cronuts are a family favorite. Doing a project on the house Saturday morning? Cronuts. Having people over? Cronuts. Going to a family members house for a party? Cronuts. Just want to break up your random Tuesday morning you have off? Cronuts. They're just too damn good. A little sweet for me to have more than 1-2 at a time. But that's just me. My wife has no problem. I read t

Love having a local business that I can wholeheartedly endorse. The service and the donuts are excellent. Went by at 2:00AM and the gentleman working there just started giving me samples of freshly made donut holes...they were amazing. Next time you have a late night sweet tooth, give them a try! (06/18/17) Update: over the course of this past year I feel like they are cheats. I am always being charged different prices. Tonight they wanted $30 for a dozen! Forget that. I?m done with this place. (03/31/18)

I went in for a quick snack. The donuts taste good. Very courteous staff , the young man working the front was polite and well mannered.

Soft Delicious Donuts but pricey and the lady behind the counter not the nicest

The donuts tasted good. That is the first time I've ever eaten there. But the sign inside the store said $14 for a dozen, but the lady charged us $17 for a dozen of just average donuts, I was really surprised. Other shops charge $10 or $12 for a dozen. The donuts were no better or worse than anywhere else. I will not be going back there anytime soon. On a positive note, the shop did look well lit and clean.

There is a lady who says she's the owner in the evenings. I'd say mid 60s and she might be the most rude person I've ever met. Not to mention, there's a young lady there usually on I think it was Sunday mornings early who was just as rude and said she would the owner. It's unfortunate because there's a man working there who's about my age who is about one of the coolest people I've ever met. So I'm guessing the older lady is probably his mother and the other one is probably his sister or wife. Unfortunately

I ordered a dozen original glaze and was charged $17. When I expressed that the price was a bit high for what I was getting, the lady proceeded to pull down her mask and tell me how the price of dough has went up (that's a reasonable explanation). When I recieved the box it was warm..indicates that they were fresh. When I bit into the donut it was greasy and the glaze was pretty much non-existent. Last time I every go to that shop. DON'T DO IT.

Came here to get a dozen donuts. Was greeted when I walked in half heartedly but did not take that to heart. What made me give a one star review was the fact that I was not servers but the large man whom walked in behind me yelling for a ham and cheese croissant was immediately served. Guess you have to walk in yelling what you want to get service.

The owner is so sweet and gave me free donuts and a discount with my dozen. They're the only nonchain donut shop near me open until 8pm which is AMAZING. The donuts themselves were super yummy too! Get a simple glazed and I guarantee it will benone of the best you've had. 10/10 ??

This Is One Of The Few Donut Shops That Have A Nice Selection Of Donuts, Drinks And Ham And Cheese Croissants Late At Night! Five Stars For Great Selection, Great Service, Great Quality, Excellent Customer Service And Cleanliness! One Other Thing I Like To Mention, Great To See This Family Work There Tirelessly Together Day In And Day Out With A Smile! Even Better Reason For Me To Support Them!

This place rocks!! I had a craving for donuts after 5 pm and went to 3 different shops all were closed. The gentleman was so nice inside and he gave me a free donut. I love this place will the donuts are soooooooo good!! I?ll be back!

Unfortunately expensive. Minimum $18 for a dozen regular donuts. No restrooms for paying customers, they are 'fixing the plumbing' just like every other small business using an excuse to deny paying customers common courtesy in the aftermath of covid. I buy a TOn of donuts for work, not impressed with this place.

I took my sons in there for a donut this morning and they picked one out and the owner gave them something else. I told them my boys would like the donuts they picked out and he said you take what you get or you get out of my store! This guy is a complete jackass and we turned around and walked away because he was so damn rude.

Chocolate bacon donuts are AMAZING! 24 hour donut shop that has Thai milk tea & ice cream too! Family run business that has really kind and helpful staff and their donuts are never stale! I've been there at different times and everything we (my family & I) have ordered has been delicious and FRESH! Take it from a fatty, this place deserves your business!

I remember building the store and getting it open in 1987, back then I called it Grand slam donuts and ice cream. Those were some great years and had great customers, from the 32oz coffee for the commuters to the baseball cards that the kids would come in to buy from the bus stop. Never had a problem with the gangs down the hill, when noon came, the less fortunate and the church?s would come by to pick up the day?s leftovers. I sold it in 89 due to a job transfer, it nice to see it has survived for so many

I can't believe I did this but I was in the mood for something in particular. It's late at night and my wife start searching on her phone. We finally found something that was open this late at night. When we got there I was really surprised. This donut shop had a great selection even at this late hour. At first I thought I would just get my favorite but we ended up taking a whole dozen. We were laughing the whole time. Not forgetting this place.

DISHONEST, POOR SERVICE. I went here this past Wednesday afternoon for the first time. I didn't have cash on me, so I was happy to see the sign on the door that they accept card. I went inside and looked for any other signs that said whether or not they took card. When I asked, the woman said that they took card, but only if I bought a dozen donuts for $13. Well, I wasn't going to buy a whole dozen, so I searched my car for change and got 1 donut. The price on the glass says $1.25 each. The lady asked for

After picking out my donuts and going to the register to pay, now somehow they don't take cards anymore, just cash, which I did not see a sign noting that. What? But of course there is conveniently placed ATM that charges you $2.50 plus your bank charges you $2.50. So I paid $25.00 for a dozen donuts & 18 donut holes (she did give me 3 free donuts) and the donuts were all stale. My kids & I used to love this place. The donuts used to always taste great. Now they are always asking for Krispy Kreme. Which is

I have to say this is my favorite donut place in all of the Inland Empire.Their coffee is always above average. Their donuts are fresh and the people who work there are always very friendly and personable. My one recommendation, if your are trying donuts there........please try the Cronut, it's pure bliss.

The donuts are always absolutely fresh and amazing. Been going here for over 26yrs but I'm sad to say that the owner was less than pleasant and I hope that she fixes that.

Delicious donuts and friendly staff

My first time there and my last. I usually go to the donut shop on 8th and Vineyard but I thought I?d try this one because my client gets there strawberry and cream which I liked. I ordered coffee, apple fritter and a maple bacon donut. The apple fritter was so hard and so was the maple bacon donut. They were probably yesterday?s donuts. I pay $4.00 at the donut shop on Vineyard and 8th and paid $7.00 here for old donuts. Never again!

I love this place! I work in the same lot so I stop by almost everyday. The staff is always very nice. The older lady is my favorite she always makes me laugh. And the donuts are always good!!

I love this little hole in the wall donut shop! There's a lady that seems to have been there from the dawn of time and she's very sweet. Every time I've been there it's her manning the register. Bring cash because their card machine is not working! They do have an atm if you need it.

Went there on my break to grab A dozen donuts and the lady was beyond rude, she has such a bad attitude & extremely poor customer service. I will never go back. She asked me if I wanted to choose my dozen or she would choose for me. I told her I would choose myself and it seemed like she had a bit of an attitude, then when I picked out a donut that was apparently a specialty donut she told me it was three dollars extra each one and I said oh no ok well I?ll put them back and she rolled her eyes at me. Super

I walk by this place all the time with my dog and will often stop to grab water or a donut. The last three times I came was the most unfriendly lady I've seen there at the counter. She always seems so unhappy to see me and this time tried to not let me use Apple Pay. She said "everyone around here knows that it's a $5min" i said it's okay you can keep the donut. I won't be back.

I recently moved into the Terrace apartments and still needed to wait for my internet modem to arrive. In the meantime, I decided to go to Grand Slam donuts to get some coffee and watch the world cup. Initially everything was fine. I set up my laptop and plugged it in to the only outlet. Coffee was cheap and decent. Donuts looked good and I was definitely going to get one. Yet, as soon as the owner walked in. I began to be berated that I should have never plugged in my laptop because the the vending machin

Recently moved near this shop and we love donuts! But this shop was the worst. Over priced. Donuts were not fresh (there was an ant on one of them!) I normally don?t like writing bad reviews and I let it go maybe give it another try but the lady helping me was so rude! Definitely not coming back. I rather drive further to any other spot.

Anytime I fly in from Atlanta...always stop here. The owner is always Friendly. Know her for over 10 years... Best Donuts in the IE. Family run business...I love supporting local business!!!!

Very bad customer service. My son and daughter went in to get their donuts before school and she refused to give him the one he was pointing at. Now I remember why we don't go there even though it's closer. That's ok we will continue going to the one a little further and provides excellent customer service and gives my kids the donuts they are asking for plus their donuts and sandwiches are delicious!!!!

Not sure what these other reviews are talking about, but I'm always greeted warmly when I come in. Was also told that I can call ahead for larger orders so they can make sure they make some more. Then again, I never got pass the cronuts. ??

If you want an overpriced and inedible breakfast sandwich you can go here I guess. Sandwich failed the eye test. Should have trusted my eyes because I took one bite and had to toss it. It was a microwaved soggy mess for almost 9 dollars yuck

I was trying to pick out Donut's with my kid's and when I would pick something out she would tell me the price was to high for the half dozen price special. So I said ok and started picking out other Donut's and she told me she didn't want to waste her time with me picking out higher priced Donut's. So she said just pick out what you want and everything will be original price instead. So I just bought donut holes and they were under cooked. I will never go back here again. Crappy Donut's, and awful service.

Weather your looking for Apple Fritters, Cinnamon Rolls, Old Fasions, or something different like a bacon covered, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruit Loops, or Lucky Charms covered donuts, they have them. The best donuts and ice cream around. Look this place up really good.

I was just there, right before 11 am (Thursday November 21st) .....the plain cake donut with chocolate frosting ..$1.25 which I thought was kinda high. The woman wouldn't even smile, at all, even when I told her to..... 'have a good day'! Then, got home to Upland ......it was AWFUL..... greasy, falling apart, just AWFUL!!! Honestly, the worse donut I have ever had!!!!! But, I don't think the owner cares, never responded to negative reviews previously..... I want my money back (this place was good years a

Very varied and so GOOD the donuts are delicious! The guy who takes care of you at the counter is super nice. One of the best donuts places I've ever gone to ??

If the employees are to scared to keep the doors open early mornings then change the times.. I went at 3am you guys have 24hours posted 7days a week.. lights were on lady in the back walking around. I even saw her ignore my call lol.. she looks in the front See's me in my car and goes back in to hide... Don't post what you guys can't do.. you guys killed my morning

Best darn cronuts here!! I am amazed, the glazed sugar on the donut is amazingly just right. Rest of the donuts are delicious as well. Well back definitely when I'm in area!

Went today July 27th 2023 was greeted by an unfriendly woman and quick to tell me that she would charge me $5 for using a debit card when purchasing a 1.50 donut I decided not to buy anything because I can't believe how greedy business owner can be which tells me they don't care about their customers and their donuts do not look quality anyway go elsewhere

This has to be the WORST donut Shop I?ve ever been to!!! For some Extremely overpriced donuts I expected them to at least be good.. However what I got was stale donuts cooked in what taste like old grease YUCK ??.

Started coming here two weeks ago because of my grandsons baseball games are scheduled early. Have to get my coffee going and if course mine and his donuts!

First time coming here and it wasn't a good experience.. I was walking in the door with my son who is 2 and the lady yelled at me hurry up i dont want flies coming in. She was so rude I literally turned right around and left. Not very professional. Will not be back. I will go spend money at a place who is friendly and nice to their customers.

Took my two young boys here today for first time. Very nice counter girl. Donuts were fresh. Even gave us a free one. We'll be back for sure...

This place sell the worst donuts, they are not fresh and the taste is not good. And very expensive. I will never go to this place is not clean.

Lady is rude!! She rushes you to pick. And the price says 9.50 and she charged me 10.50. I choose only the regular donuts. Cause the pricing is confusing. And she still said I choose a bigger donut. Annoying!

I paid $10 for 6 stale, day old (maybe 2 day old) donuts. Had to microwave the donuts to soften them enough to eat. Kids didn't even eat them... Don't waste your money.

Of the 6 or so Donut Shop's to choose from here in Rancho Cucamonga this is the one we've found to always have the best and fresh daily all around selection, Mom discovered them many years ago, and we've been going there for year's ourselves and have never been disappointed, staff are polite and helpful ??

First time there. Was not busy. Bad Customer experience. Clerk was unfriendly and curt. Ordered 4 donuts and she didn?t get it correct. Will not ever return.

the specialty donuts are huge like the apple fritters, cinnamon rolls...I go for the CRONUTS. They are like nothing else yummy! about $2.50 each but my Clients love them!

Not sure why this place has 4 stars. The donuts are old, the service is horrible. The lady isn?t friendly at all.. she made me feel uncomfortable, she was so unprofessional. Never expected to be attended by someone so rude, in the morning.

Had a nice experience at Grand Slam Doughnuts! The owner suggested green tea instead of coffee with my chocolate covered vanilla doughnut and we had a pleasant conversation. I will be back!

friendly lady, the place is a little bit hiding also it's a quiet city ..

The lady behind the counter really helped suggest to me me some good choices for donuts even though it was the 4th of July and they were a little bit short on what they had. Very friendly though!

The donuts are good dont get me wrong. Especially the chocolate bacon donuts. Sounds weird but they are GREAT! But 24$ for a dozen r u CRAZY! They r too expensive for me!

Great customer service, great donuts, great selection. Super friendly and as long as you aren't rude then they usually throw in a free donut

Lady was so rude! I asked the price of a dozen doughnuts and she said $8 then proceeded to walk in the back where she was for the next few min, then she came out saying "you want something or what". Really?? Some people forget common curtsey. I won't be coming back.

So yeah all the reviews are pretty accurate from what I've read and my own experience. To sum it all up for you the food is good the lady that runs the front is not very happy at all and they only take cash?

The donuts smelled rancid and then when I cracked one open I noticed mold on the on the inside. It was disgusting. I'll never go there again. I think they sell old donuts.

They have a nice selection of fresh doughnuts and pastries here and a nice place to chill out for a moment either inside or out. It's not often I'm in this area but I'd go out of my way to come here again

Best donuts in Rancho Cucamonga. Don?t sleep on the chocolate chip roll

All I know is that is was 11pm at night and I needed to find a donut spot that was open 24 hours which this one was and also since I didn?t have my wallet I needed a donut shop that took apply pay which this shop did so for that I thank you guys for being awesome.

The donuts are fluffy BUT, it had an overwhelming take of overheated oil... Oil that has been used many many time. It completely took over the taste of the donut.

1:10am, doors locked waited a few min but no one is here. ?Open? signs are on and lights on inside but it is clearly closed. Going to Yum yum donuts instead.

I've never paid $30 dollars for a dozen of donuts. Rip off??? Not a happy customer with the pricing. Donuts were fresh though.

Coffee not as hot as I like it . But the customer service is so outstanding it warms up your heart and makes your day.donuts always fresh

Thank you larry, josephine, and Sandy for being so nice, and for making me the best donuts I've ever had in my life, if I could give you 10 Stars I would thank you so much

Apple Fritters! Great selection of donuts! All the people complaining about the "lady" being rude, c'mon I call that efficient! Pick the donut, Give the money, GO!

So convenient!! The staff are always friendly and have a great variety of donuts. LOVE THE GREEN TEA ICE CREAM!

Delicious fresh amazing donuts love them and will definitely be going back the owner a very sweet lady

Love the owner. She always throw in a few free donuts ?? when we order.

The older lady in the store tonight was amazing. So sweet. Great place for nightly donuts

Ordered cinnamon roll 1ea 4.00! Dense and no cinnamon

I have given this place plenty of chances and I?ve had it with the bad service rude owner and stiff donuts Too bad just down the st from me Definitely lost my business.

I know this place for over 20 years and I love it. It has not change, always good service and good donuts.
