Gramps Coffee & Donuts

This cute little cafe has DELICIOUS and unique donuts. I enjoyed my cream cold brew and whiskey business donut (although I wish it had more whiskey flavor). The dough is like a soft croissant donut and it?s amazing. Wish I had gotten more than one. Glad this place exists to offer people something better than ordinary donuts!

Came here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. It was cold and raining thunderstorms outside so we came in for a coffee and donuts to let the storm pass. The donuts are amazing, buttery, flaky, crispy, fluffy, and very enjoyable! I had a chocolate and my girl had the snickerdoodle. As for the coffee, I tried one of their specialty coffees, white coconut mocha. She has an iced honey pecan. We both enjoyed our food and drinks. I grew up in Owensboro, and moved away about 10 years ago. Any time I?m back in town, I pass Gramps and always say i want to try it out. Finally got the chance to today, and it is SO good. The ladies working the counter were friendly, and interacted with myself, and my two boys. We got 6 diff donuts, and loved them all. Also got 2 hot coffees, which I really enjoyed too. The best donuts I?ve ever had! My husband and I made an hour-long trip to try these donuts and we will be back sooner than later! We tried 6 different donuts and each one just kept getting better. A fresh glazed was perfect on a cold day, but the Creme Brulee donut was a close second. We went back for a second order to take some home to family ??

By far the best donuts in town. I know many of the locals claim other places as better donuts, but I've lived in Owensboro for 22 years and Gramps is 100% the best. In addition to delectable donuts that rotate in variety, they actually have good coffee to go with it, and comfortable seating. A must stop for anyone visiting Owensboro or just downtown. Worth rerouting our drive from Texas. I love donuts and these are outstanding. You not only see and taste the difference, you can feel the difference in the texture of the bite. Don?t even attempt to compare to a chain donut shop. These are unique and worth the effort to get to Owensboro. For my birthday a few days ago, my husband took me to a couple of different donut places this one is by far the best donuts, the best atmosphere, and wonderful people there. Even just the people that were already there eating said hello and Good morning. This was by far one of the best places not only in Owensboro but the surrounding areas as well. My favorite donuts was the bourbon one and the caramel one that was kind of toasted on the top (I can?t remember the actual name)

We are always quickly greeted by the friendly staff. The donuts are amazing, our peanut allergy kiddo was able to enjoy them as well. We had teas and lemonades since we can't drink caffeine and they don't offer decaf espresso. Which is my only desire for this awesome place. The building, decor, and branding is great. Big back room perfect for studying, maybe even hosting a Bible study/small group here. ??

Stopped here for an afternoon coffee and snack and don't regret it. Not your typical donut maybe more like a pastry but very good. Coffee was excellent as well.

This place was dialed in ?? Today was our first time going. Went in with $20 (in a hurry to get to church) & just asked for a variety for $20 bucks. They said they could do 6 for $15 & some change. So that's what we got. Ran to the restroom. Came out, they said they had us ready. Got in the car to leave, opened the box just curious & they snuck an extra maple doughnut in there. It's the little things. That kind gesture did not go unnoticed & the doughnuts are THE BEST. Great job ladies ?? 11/10

I came here because I had heard great things from around the community, and I have to say, I was definitely impressed! The coffee is smooth, great quality, and flavorful?hot or cold! I had the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, and it wasn?t too sweet or too strong, just right! And the donuts are astounding. Legitimately the most incredible donuts I have ever eaten in my life, and that is not hyperbole. That statement comes from someone who?s had many donuts from many places for many years. I?m not going to lie, anytime I see a really aesthetic-looking coffee shop I expect good vibes but bad coffee. Not Gramps. Oh. My. God. As a self-professed pumpkin spice latte connoisseur I can say this place has the best one. Gorgeous interior and food and drinks to match. If you are a PSL fan like me, you are missing out.

So, so, so good. Stopped here during a short stay in Owensboro and we weren't disappointed. The place is cute and had a line out the door when we came on Saturday morning... but it moved relatively quickly. The donts are sweet and soft with crispy edges. Not your typical donut, but one worth trying (again, and again, and again). The coffee was also quite good.

We went for the first time yesterday, we been wanting to go for awhile. The barista was super nice and helpful! I got the sweater weather latte with oat milk and my husband got Carmel white mocha with oat milk and we had to try the donuts they were so good! I could barley eat just one!! I Def recommend!

I went for coffee, which was quite good, but decided to grab a couple of doughnuts to take back to the hotel. Best doughnut I have ever had! I got the Back In My Day and the Cinnamon Sprinkle and had to keep myself from eating both of them before I got back to the hotel to share with my husband. Cute place, easy to park, great service! I only wish Gramps had been here when I still lived in Owensboro. Unfortunately I'll have to settle for fitting in as many visits as I can twice a year when I come into town. This place is the real deal. Easily the best espresso drinks in Owensboro (seriously, it's not even close) plus inventive and delicious cronuts. That doesn't even address the friendliest, most competent staff ever. As the youth might say, Gramps ate and left no crumbs (and so will you). What a gem, 11/10 definitely recommend.

Very unique and tasty donuts, really good strong coffee with neat flavors that rotate just as much as their donut flavors do, and the people working there are all so nice, I'm so happy this place opened. Wasn?t expecting such an amazing experience for breakfast! Super friendly and welcoming vibe. The drip coffee was excellent and those donuts were incredible! However the staff was so rude and unfriendly we will not go back?we were the first people of the day and you would have thought we were their last customers. Loved this cute coffee shop! The snickerdoodle latte was fantastic. We also ordered a regular glazed donut and a chocolate donut and they were absolutely INCREDIBLE. Small corner bakery with a boutique feel where you can get a good cup of coffee and a donut. They have about 5-6 specialty donuts each day. They are the fried, crunchy and flaky type with lots of great flavor. They have the best atmosphere of any of the donut shops with extra seating in the back that gives it a quaint downtown feel without being dingy. First time stopping by on a very hot day. Decided to get a cold brew to stay cool. Service was the best Ive seen and was very helpful with me. Stopped by Gramps this past Saturday with my older sister and dad. We loved the atmosphere, old building but with a new twist, and I can?t leave out how good it was! This place has great service! I love the atmosphere and if you go in the morning you can meet gramps himself. Everyone was friendly, the service is fast, and most importantly the drinks and donuts are tasty! Gramps is truly an exceptional guy and I enjoy seeing his smiling face when I come in. Donuts are nothing like they appear to be. My husband and I went here 2 weeks ago and barely any donuts were even ready besides the glazed, chocolate, and cinnamon. We went for the cookies and cr?me donuts and the chocolate crumble ones and they had none of the chocolate crumble ones. The cookies and cream ones barely had any cookies on them at all. We also got a cookie in a cup drink, and it tastes nothing like the name it was strong and barely had any flavor.

I would give Gramps more stars if I could! The strawberry and chocolate donuts are PERFECTION. My parents were recently in town and we took them there and they LOVED it. And my mom is super picky! The place is gorgeous and everyone there is super friendly. I love this place and highly recommend it!

Stopped by on a whim. Great donuts that are as non -donut looking as can be. Chewy and gooey and flavorful. See the photos for the types and sizes. They have toppings that are more like icing and creamy spreads and really add to the experience. I found the staff to be helpful and accommodating. If you're in the neighborhood, stop by Gramps.

These donuts aren't your typical donuts! Sweet all the way through. Soft with a touch of crunch. A flaky crossiant smothered in sweet goodness! The cold brew coffee with sweet cream was amazing! Excellent taste. 3 doughnuts and 2 cold coffee's 18 bucks. A bit pricey but delicious nonetheless :)
