Great donuts and the woman working there was incredibly friendly. She even made my daughter's their favorite rainbow donuts when they were out.
Our old stomping grounds still has some of the best donuts around. We stopped in the newly rehabbed store for those treats, talked with the original owners, and had a good time. The donuts are always worth the time we'll spent!
I have been coming to this donut shop whenever I?m visiting family in San Diego. The most stapled donut that I remembered is the cream cheese filling or the cheese danish. Due to new ownerships, those items were removed from the selections. I would come to this donut shop literally every single day for donuts and a coffee. Sometimes even twice a day! I was a regular customer but I decided today after being treated like I wasn't anyone important twice now, to stop purchasing from here and go to Barrio Donuts instead. I grew up in the neighborhood and was both sad and happy that Norm and Jie (original owners for 30+ years) had finally decided to retire. Unfortunately, The new bakers just aren?t as good. I have been going to Goody for many years and drive a distance to get there. I pass other donut places on my way. The very best! A family business, they are so kind and make getting a donut and coffee fun. Love the donut holes and tiny cream puffs. They sell them by the piece, don't force you to buy more than you want or need to keep your weight down while enjoying a treat. Perfect donuts and wonderful coffee. Oh, and the brownies are rich and delicious. Price of everything is very affordable.
We love this place and their donuts!! Donuts have become a pandemic "self care" treat for us. We have tried a couple other places but have decided that none of them hold a candle to Goody's. On top of quality product you get very friendly service each and every time!!! I can't wait for summer when we can go there for Thrifty brand ice cream, which they also happen to carry (year round, it is just too cold for ice cream to me right now).
We use to come here all the time as our kids were growing up and the donuts were great. Stopped by today march 5th 2023 and the donuts and didn't look as good as they use to be. The maple frosting seemed thin and the bakers dozen doesn't include spinkle donuts ??? Since when normally it was only the bigger cinnamon rolls and fritters . The maple bars didn't look like bars either kind of jagged looking . Love supporting small buisness but the quality just isn't there anymore.

Excellent Donuts. First time visiting today, and the Donuts tasted fresh, the bars were perfectly soft on the inside, slightly crispy on the out, and the chocolate and maple icing was delicious - not overly sweet but bursting with flavor. Been going here since I was a kid. I will purposely go out of my way to stop by Goody's to get their Turkey and cheese croissant. They have the best in town! Love this place so much and hope they stay in business forever.
The guy inside is always super friendly, the donuts are always so delicious ( my fav is definitely the maple donut with bacon). The store is always clean and the service is fast.
Best donuts in town, I drive 12 miles to here, I pass many other donut shops to get here. I always try to patronize independent shops rather than the chain shops. You must try their cream puffs, golf ball size pastry filled with cream and only 50 cents each.

A pretty average donut place. The usual donuts are there, at the time $1.10 each. I tried a regular glaze donut, and it was quite dense and thick but still soft and chewy. It didn't have any greasy after taste, so that's a plus.
Super friendly team here. Also the donut options are nice varied mix from every other mom n pop shop in San Diego. All the stand bys are here for sure, but there also a Bavarian cream, blueberry jelly, crueller, and more.
They were open on Christmas Day!!! Not a place to go if you?re on a diet. Huge, fresh and delicious. Be sure to check out their crime puffs. Light and not too sweet, just perfect. We noticed all the patrons we bumped to were regulars leaving with big boxes and bigger smiles. We bought a dozen and they were devoured quickly.
We have been going to Goody?s Donuts for years. Norm, Gia, Irena and Lisa are the hardest working and most humble family we know. Their breakfast sandwiches, donuts and cream puffs are the best. I bring the cream puffs or donuts to all parties I attend.
Wonderful tasting donuts. Decent customer service :/ they charge to use cards to pay. Seating is usually limited on weekends due to an elderly group that takes all the seats.

Amazing little doughnut shop. Goody is probably the nicest person ive ever met. He wants every customer to leave happy and caffienated. I think of being a kid and getting doughnuts with my grandpa every time i go here. Love it.
