These are the best doughnuts! Seriously, warm, with a light crispness that other doughnut shops wish they could make. I've traveled a fair amount in doughnut country and these guys do it right! I would highly recommend trying some! You'll find all of the classics, like glazed, raspberry filled, with or without powdered sugar, doughnut holes, maple bars, and more! This place is popular enough that you might have to wait in line just to get in, but it's totally worth it!

If visiting Salt Lake "Fresh Donuts & Deli" is a MUST! The dounuts are delicious and colorful. Service is friendly and fast and the astmosphere is 100 percent dounuts. Serioulsy, this is must visit spot or a GREAT reason to move to Salt Lake!

The BEST place to grab some donuts. So light and fluffy and not too sweet. Does get really busy around 8 but worth the wait

I support small businesses and this exemplifies that. 12pm we walked in and most of the donuts were gone so we waited 5 minutes. Picked up a fresh batch of a dozen. Apple fritters are great. The meatiness (doughiness) of the donut is significantly better than the air some businesses serve at KK (Krispy Kreme). The glaze is very good. The chocolate glaze is decent bc it?s a chocolate glaze rather than a chocolate donut. The old fashion sugar donut is good. I also wanted to tasted each donut the next morni

My boyfriend lived in SLC for a month a few years ago to ski, and he kept raving about this place. So when we came back to SLC for ski season this year the first thing we did was come here so I could try the donuts. I honestly didn?t think it would be thaaat amazing but it was!!! The glazed donuts are my favorite. They really are soo fresh and warm and soft and melt in your mouth. I?m not even a donut person but this place is something special. My boyfriend orders a dozen at a time and eats most of it himse

I recently visited this donut shop and was blown away?these are hands-down the best donuts I?ve ever had. They outshine even the famous Randy?s Donuts from LA with their incredible flavor and freshness. The service is lightning-fast, and the prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality you get. If you?re craving a top-notch donut experience, this place is a must-try!

This place is the best! They have my favorite donuts in Utah. Anytime I?m in the area I have to stop and get some and whenever I go they have a line out the door. Their donuts are very light and fluffy and their prices are great as well.

Ate half of these before I thought to take a picture. It's literally the best donut shop I've ever visited. Classic flavors done so well that every donut shop that is foolish enough to open nearby goes out of business (looking at you Dolly's Donuts). Every local knows this place, but you'll drive right past it if you don't know it's there. They have donuts into the afternoon but do start running out of some varieties. So freaking good, seriously. Just go already. Love the maple bars.

Originally I gave them a 3 star trying to be nice. In reality the glazed donut I ordered was the worst donut I have ever tried to eat. Was doughy and was very heavy because it was so full of oil. I literally was able to squeeze oil from it. The chocolate cake donut was better but still kinda of oily. For price of almost $7.00 for 4 donuts I expected much better. Not a fan of Krispy Kremes but they are much better donuts.

This is my new favorite donut place. Their glazed donuts are so light and airy, unlike any other place I've tried. I don't know what they do different, but the texture is just perfect. I may need to find a reason to drive to SLC just so I can stop here to get some of their donuts. They are ?? worth it.

This is the best donut shop there is! We?ve lived a few places, and been to a scary amount donut shops. None of which compare to Fresh Donut and Deli. My favorites are Glazed and Maple because I like the simple ones, but my wife also love the danishes. Great place, and some amazing people running it.

If you're on the hunt for fantastic donuts from a locally owned shop, Fresh Donuts and Deli should be your go-to destination. This beloved spot has been delighting the SLC valley with the most amazing donuts for years. Just one drive past the shop in the morning, with the windows down, is enough to lure you in with the irresistible aroma. Inside, you'll find a shop singularly focused on one thing: donuts. They are true experts, crafting perfect cake, raised, and old-fashioned varieties. You won't find gimm

These are the only donuts I buy. I?m from a place where every donut shop on every corner had donuts of this quality so I do have high standards. Dough is light and fluffy just like it should be! Come early and be prepared to stand in line. Totally worth it though.

This place is amazing! The apple fritter was delicious and the raised maple donut was incredible. They saved the day after a $5 very un-tasty donut at Chubby Baker. Can't wait to go back to Fresh!

Totally picky about donuts, and this OG spot hits the spot EVERY. TIME. Whenever we are in the area, this place is a MUST STOP. When family comes to visit, we take them here. Never disappoints. EVER. My favorite donuts here are the blueberry glazed, and their apple fritter! The blueberry glaze is OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. One-of-a-kind donut - they are known for this donut. Apple fritter - let's just say I've never been an apple fritter fan - until I sank my teeth into theirs. If you time it right, and

Thus cute little donut and deli has always been a favorite for my daughter and I. If you want melt in your mouth hot fresh donuts, I highly suggest going early in the morning when they open. There's nothing like stopping in and seeing the beautiful family working together to create joy and forever memories in a box through food! Thank you guys for always making it wonderful every time. You're a family tradition for us.

Love this place! I drive 20 minutes out of my way to get these donuts once a month for my guys and they always ask me where I got them because they are amazing. Love the glazed and any sprinkle donuts. Never been disappointed and they are super fast. 3 dozen and out the door in under 2 mins and the prices are super reasonable.

Easily the best donuts in SLC and it's not close. Their raised donuts are so light, airy, and crispy. Their cake donuts are supremely crisp, not too sweet, and very moist. You can't go wrong with any donut at this shop.

These are among the best donuts I?ve ever had. The apple fritter is huge, and has super fresh apples in it. Most apple fritters, despite the name, don?t have the fresh, real apple chunks inside. The cream filled, heart-shaped donuts were both super delicious as well. Recommend!

Some of the best donuts in the valley! Love their apple fritters and raspberry filled donuts. Their chocolate cake donuts aren?t super heavy which is different but my wife loves them. Worth the wait to stand in line on a Saturday morning

EDIT: Down one star again... I returned for a second time to try this today. Once again the Apple Fritters all looked burnt, and in fact.. are burnt. They are crispy and taste of charcoal/burnt bread. There is also no "apples" in them. Just lots of oil and sugar. Don't know that i'll return a third time. Maybe. In a year or so. Give them time to figure it out again? ------------------------------------- My first experience here is not the greatest? But I will be back. I got an Apple Fritter after

Best donuts in town for sure. Light fluffy donuts. If you want fresh this is your place. They also make a good sandwich. They have a good pastrami and a a roast beef sandwich. Stop here on location for a lunch, a donut and a sandwich.

BEST DOUGHNUTS IN THE VALLEY! They have a good selection and really know their craft. You would have to go there to fully understand. Seemingly simple thing done exceptionally well. The only drawback is word has gotten out and they usually have a line. However, they are efficient and it moves fast.

Best donut shop in Utah! I ordered a maple donut, glazed twist, and a sprinkles cake donut. The maple and glazed donuts melted in my mouth. I definitely prefer the non-cake donuts. I highly recommend this place. Expect there to be a line if you go during busy times. I want to try the Apple fritter and blueberry donut!

I've been on the hunt for a delicious donut. These were easily the best I've tried in Utah so far. A perfect combination of delicious flavor and texture. The glazed donut was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The apple fritter was wonderfully crispy and soft as well. They were still warm when we got them, which added to their deliciousness. I was hoping for a cake donut but they didn't have any at the time, so that was a bummer. But the glazed and fritters we got more that made up for it. I wis

I read a local article that these were the best donuts in the county. Since it is located right next to the GTI (my child attends some HS classes there), I thought I'd try them one morning after dropping her off. While they are enjoyable, they are about the same as Banbury Cross Donuts. These were good but I still like BCD best.

They have the best donuts in the valley. They are simple and delicious and always fresh. This always preferred above other Utah based donut store in the area. The maple bar is my favorite but is also often sold out because it?s a fan favorite. Their donuts holes are also simple yet delicious!

13/10 best glazed donut I?ve ever had. Tasted just as fresh three days later. Will definitely be back and need to try the maple bars.

Mouth-watering donuts cooked to perfection - sure to satisfy your donut cravings! It was worth the walk. This place is a hidden gem in South Salt Lake. If you haven?t tried their donuts yet, you?re seriously missing out.

How did I not know about this place. I?ve driven past it for years. We got there late when I visited and missed out on all the options. What was left was still very enjoyable. I am glad I found this place. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend you pay a visit.

I absolutely love this place. There?s a certain feeling you want when entering a donut shop that Fresh Donuts embodies. It?s a small, clean, spartan space that is tailor made for an entire donut experience. I don?t want a fancy bakery when I get donuts. I want the essentials and a case of fried rings of dough. Simple. My favorite has always and will always be the chocolate cake. The blueberry glazed is also incredible and just about anything on the menu will make your day. The customer service is amazing an

The donuts here are the stuff of dreams! My partner and I started dropping by regularly about a year ago. We have never been disappointed with our dozens. Easily the best donuts we?ve ever had! The service is always quick here and without frills. The lines can be long during busier hours, so plan accordingly if you?re in a hurry.

Came late so only thing left was donut holes but man those donut holes were good! The batter/dough is super buttery and airy with a crispy glaze reminiscent of Chinese donut sticks. I can see why people say this is the best donut shop.

The best donuts! Definitely going to be our new go-to place. The line was out the door the whole time I was there but it was worth the wait. We got the last two apple fritters of the day (so worth it!), maple glazed, regular glazed, blueberry glazed, and both the lemon and raspberry filled powder donuts. The blueberry and the apple fritters were my favorite! We also grabbed bag of one dozen donut holes (it was only $3!) which were great.

Get your donuts quick cause the good stuff can go fast. Soooo fresh gooey and magical. Better than Branburry for sure. Legit LA style regular ass donuts, made fresh daily.

Actually the best donuts. Melt in your mouth without the oil taste. I compared against 8 other "best donuts" in Utah and this unanimously won. Truly stood out.

BEST donuts EVER . The star of the show is the buttermilk donut. This first time, I ate one I literally crashed out. They always sell out of those, so you need to be lucky. I'm just being honest. In the mornings, they have a line sometimes. Usually, if there is a line somewhere, it's probably good. This establishment is no exception. 5 big stars. Love you guys here. You can't go wrong with any donut here as they are all made from scratch. Damn :/ I wish I had one now, haha

Happened upon this place while in town. It is a tiny shop, not a lot of parking so I suggest parking somewhere close by and walking. The line was super long but we didn't stand there long at all! Very fast, efficient, and the donuts are amazing!!! Some of the best I've ever had! Service was awesome as well and the BLT was my favorite ever!! It's a must have!

Best donuts in town, that being said phone does not work, I have told them and they dont care. Not very friendly peeps but great donuts

Showed up on a Saturday at 6 AM. There was a line that moved steadily. It wasn't out the door though, and the lobby is small. The doughnuts were good. However, the lady who helped us was in a rush and didn't listen. She put doughnuts in the box that we didn't request and couldn't see until we got to the register. I didn't make a fuss and just paid for them to get out of there. To the staff, slow down a bit, listen, and confirm. To me, not really worth an incorrect order.

Hear me when I say these were the best donuts I've ever had! They were still warm when we bought them - which makes a big difference - but even later in the day were so delightful. Hard to describe, but they had a very light, crisp bite, then super fluffy yet doughy on the inside. ...it's probably better if you just try for yourself!!

Best donuts in UTAH, You can't have just one. IIts a family owned business and they are pleasant and fast. If you are amever in UTAH THIS is must have donuts

Fresh, warm, yummy doughnuts, friendly staff and quick service. Donut worth getting up early for sure ?????

great service! i come here once awhile and omg!!!! so good i love it! 1. Hard workers 2. Great donuts 3. Easy access

Best donuts you will ever taste. Nicest people you will ever meet. Greatest service you will ever get. Seriously!!! Anytime I'm in SLC this is a must go to spot. I have to get a dozen glaze just for myself!!!!

We bought a dozen donuts, fresh as fresh could be. Delightful and decadently delicious, worth eating in line for. Pastries were great, the people working there were also great.

Everything great about an old school doughnut shop. Delicious. Friendly. And priced fair!

Sorry I don't have the picture because donuts are disappeared before get to take pictures, that how good they are . ?? Better than everywhere else donut . Finally: remember to take some pictures before they're gone .

Donuts were actually really good but it was quite pricey. We assume they added a tip to our bill since it was a lot more expensive than the menu showed.

First time visiting and there was a line out the door. Service was quick and they had probably the best glazed donut I?ve ever had. This was worth the drive.

Delicious donuts you can count on! An absolute must visit. I?ve been coming for years, and it?s been amazing to see this small business thrive. Definitely a special spot in the neighborhood

For sure the best donut I had in Salt Lake City. The dough is incredibly soft and not overly sweet.

The best donuts in the world! They are like fluffy pillows of delicious! I will be going all the time now! Its close to my job! I highly recommend it!

This is the best donut in the state of Utah and it?s not close. Cake donuts are decent, the yeast will make all your dreams come true.

Best donuts I?ve ever had! They always stay consistent and they are just lovely! I recommend getting the raspberry filled donut, it has real raspberry and that makes such a difference!

Moved to Utah 2 years ago and since then I?ve been on the hunt for the best melt in your mouth donuts. Rest assured I found them here at Fresh Donuts & Deli. Will definitely be coming here from now on!

The donuts are phenomenal!! Just had them for the first time and wasn?t disappointed! These would easily throw down with the world famous Randy?s in California! You know the donut store in Iron Man

I think these may be some of the best doughnuts I?ve ever had. The reason they are good, 1. They are simple. 2. The dough is the best part of the doughnut, it goes without saying that if you are going to eat a doughnut the dough should be good, their doughnuts are very light and fluffy. 3. It isn?t overly sweet, to many places here in Utah focus on the sugar to carry them and produce a low quality treat that gives you a bad sugar rush. These doughnuts leave you without want. I highly recommend this place.

Nothing fancy in terms of storefront, but you don't want fancy when it comes to donuts. These are good sized donuts, not too big to make you feel gross/guilty. Staff were friendly and all wearing masks and gloves.

Easily best donut in town! Reasonable price, fresh made all the time, fluffy and perfect sweetness. Not fancy donut but bring you the the taste of heaven!

Absolutely fantastic donuts. 5/5 great service, easy parking, clean interior. Most importantly, airy, soft, and delicious donuts. Would definitely come back for a dozen on the slightest inkling of a craving. Note they close at 5 p.m.

Tha Donuts are Definitely Fresh! We Tried, Raspberry Filled, it was Delicious! The Chocolate/Barvarin was Fresh, I didn't like the after taste of the Cream. The Apple Fritter is Huge. It was $1.89. Tastes a little overcooked. Oil too Hot. Nothing to throw it in the Trash Over Overall Great Donut Place. Haven't tried the Deli yet.

The coconut crunch is the best donut on earth. My only complaint is they don?t make enough for the times I can?t get there before 8:00 a.m.

The best donuts you?ll ever eat, highly recommend, very good very soft, amazing taste

So I really want to like this place, but my donuts were super greasy. I think their oil wasn't hot enough and soaked into the coming dough. In fact, there was a grease ring on the inside of the donuts when I cut them open. That being said, I could tell the flavors were good. I love apple fritters, and had it been cooked the way it's supposed to be, it would have been awesome. The glazed donuts were warm and my favorite of the bunch. Do not get the buttermilk bar, it tasted terrible, dry, and had an awful a

This unassuming place is apparently one of the top 100 donut shops in the nation and regularly sells out by 930am. There's something extra in both the dough and glazes that gives these donuts an edge against your typical specialty donut shop. I can see how this place could have landed its ranking.

There isn?t a better donut shop in Utah. It?s worth the wait when you see people lined up on state streets.

Wow!!! Their glazed donut is SO good!! Warm, melt-in-your-mouth amazing! I'll be going back to try others soon!!! ??????????????

Edit: I went 2 more times and they NEVER had the fritter in stock. Lame. This place is uniquely soft and buttery but honestly mid relative to the overhype. Also it's expensive. Worse donuts than Krispy Kreme. I might even prefer Dunkin Original: Very unique butter-heavy flavor. I've never had donuts that tasted like this. Definitely melts in your mouth but also immediately deflates in your hands--very light and airy (which isn't necessarily bad, just pointing it out). The unique buttery taste permeates a b

Delicious donuts with very tender dough. The maple bars, glazed twists, and the apple fritters were standouts! They were selling out of flavors fast but they appear to make donuts all day, so don't feel that you have to show up at the crack of dawn.

This place has some of the best donuts in the valley! We drive out of our way to come here. I wish I had a better photo to do this place justice, but the donuts are so fluffy and delicious. Most the time they are still warm too. This pic is of the glazed, which, are delicious for being a ?plain? donut. My favorite is the lemon filled with powdered sugar on top. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.

So good! Their donut holes are amazing and we?ve loved dropping in and grabbing a treat every now and then!

This is the best little donut shop ever! Fresh, light, and the glaze is thin and crisp on top. If you ask for warm glazed doughnuts, they will get you super fresh ones from the back. Cars are going in and out all of the time. You can get a cold bottle of milk. And they have coffee. Start the with the smells of donuts and coffee. Yes, you deserve a donut!

Legitimately the best donuts I've ever had. Definitely worth getting up early for.

Best donuts in town and they are always hot and fresh no matter what time of day I've gone. The donut holes are my favorite. I'd share a pic of them too but I ate them all already!

Their reputation precedes them for a reason-these are the best donuts you will find in Utah. Simple, honest donuts that are fresh and delicious. You wont be disappointed!

I can't believe I havent left a review yet. This is my favorite donut place in the world. I lived in many cities and the donuts here are the best. Used to get them regularly when I lived in SLC. I still stop by everytime I am in SLC. Their fresh, chewy, flavorful.. A-MAZING

There is no neon sign in the window indicating "Hot donuts now" But they are warm and every bite melts in your mouth!

Literally the best donuts in the Salt Lake Valley! Other managers at work have told me that their associates ask them to get the donuts I bring and I always bring these. I can't decide on a favorite however sugar and chocolate are my go too. They are famous for their apple fritters.

These were Smallish but very tasty doughnuts. I liked the blueberry the best! Next time I would go earlier for a better selection. I loved the cute lady that helped us. I told her I found the shop on instagram and I could tell she was happy. Fun spot!

Best donuts in Salt Lake City! Fresh, simple and delicious!

Amazing Doughnuts! Best glazed! Get there when they open to get the best fresh doughnuts in Utah!!

Delicious Donuts! They aren't even close to where we live, but they are so good we go out of our way to get donuts from here. I also like their sandwiches, but they are a bit too plain and too salty for my wife. But when it comes to donuts these are easily one of, if not, the best donut I've had.

Hands down, thee BEST doughnuts I have ever had in my life. The glazed is so delicious it literally melts in your mouth. JUST GOOO! Support local!

Best donuts in Utah hands down. The original glaze and blueberry glaze are perfect.

Ask if they have any hot donuts ! Fresh and classic SLC#1DONUT ?? There is a reason they have been around so long and sell out every day.

I do deserve a donut once in a while! They stand for their name: Fresh donuts! They make fresh donuts daily early in the morning so it's really packed coz people try to get right after they're oit of the oven/fryer. Lunchtime is not much of a traffic and so do late afternoons are but you'll mostly end up having no doughnuts bec they're all sold! Our favorites are the apple fritter and cinnamon! Partner them with milk and it's perfect lazy morning breakfast or snack.

This is a local gem. My family lived nearby for a while and loved walking over for treat. These are the boxes that I look forward to seeing in the office. Bismarck, pershings and fritters are awesome. They are fast and super friendly.
