French Market Donuts

This place is amazing, everything I ordered was delicious and definitely freshly made. The Sausage Kolaches was by far my favorite though, but nothing I had was bad. If you have a chance, you have to give this place a try. The service was exceptional too.

Everything I have tried here is fresh and tasty. Donuts and different kinds of kolaches like ham, bacon and cheese. And the slow roasted BEEF kolaches are amazing! All served with a smile.

The roast beef kolache was so delicious!! The lady who took our order was so friendly and cheerful. We will definitely be back :) Thank you for a tasty breakfast!! I can?t wait to try more of the menu items!

I had read a review previously on the "roast beef kolaches" & thought I would try it. I wasn't sure what I was expecting but it wasn't what I received. Homemade pot roast with gravy wrapped up in a bread that didn't taste like the normal kolache bread. Seasoned perfectly, it was like eating grandma's roast but wrapped in bread. I can't say enough about French Market Donuts. I got there and asked about a king cake and was willing to order for tomorrow but the owner's son who may be the manager (I wasn't sure) told me he could help me this morning if I wanted to wait. Of course I did! They were all so kind and courteous! The cake was filled the way I wanted, iced and even put the Mardi Gras colors on top of the chocolate icing I wanted. So glad to have this gem in our city. Everytime I've gone there, everything was always fresh and hot. Smiling faces, great prices and delicious donuts...what more could a person ask for!! This place is the Bomb. I can't get enough. My kids love it and its out of this world service. Always smiling ?? and eager to serve you. This is the second time we've tried this place the first time they just opened it wasn't anything special. The kolaches had these big thick slices of jalape?o just sitting inside the bread the hot dog was cold and reminiscent of a "bar s" quality very disappointing also the glaze was overly sweet on the donuts but as I stated they just had "opened". Did I miss something? I?ve been gone for a while, but I?ve always known this place to be Donut King growing up and they?ve always arguably had the best donuts in town to me. Today?s donuts were just awful. They lacked in flavor and simply tasted like old grease. I?ll never not believe that they used old grease to cook them. 10/10 do NOT recommend!

They are fantastic. I love the bread they use on the kolaches! The donuts are perfectly fluffy and they have an actual variety unlike alot of other places. Highly recommend anyone who's looking for the best version of donuts and kolaches Lake Charles has to offer!

Ran up on this place looking for a coffee...I saw dude pulling fresh Glazed out the grease and I ordered a dozen glazed. Coffee was Ehh but little did I know I would eat the greatest donut ever made! Well done folks, think Round Rock Donuts meets Shipleys meets Krispy Kreme but better! A must try!

I can't get enough of this place. Love the Sausage cheese jalape?o kaloche. The dough is awesome with just the right amount of jalape?os. Beingets are so good . My husband's favorite. Glazed donuts are excellent just the right amount of icing. Donuts holes are great . Just the right size for the grand babies. Cinnamon rolls and Cinnamon twist just perfect on the Cinnamon and icing. Continuing to sample different things every time I go. I drive out of the way just to get the donuts here. Can't wait to try

Simply in love with this place ! Grew up eating donuts with the original owners and loved it . Quit when the 2nd set of owners had ; but now the family of original owners ( son and grandchild ) it is awesome ! Everything is bomb ! On point ! Drive across town just to get donuts ! Brought my son for his birthday this is all he wanted! I just got a sprinkled donut (they gave us an extra!) and my son got a strawberry filled donut, an apple fritter, and a jalape?o kolache with strawberry milk he finished it all plus the extra donut we definitely will be back!!!
