Best donut I've ever had. Blueberry filled donut. The filling was a delicious homemade compote, sweet and rich in flavor. The dough was soft and slightly chewy. The icing was light and sweet. What a hidden gem. They had a decently large variety of other baked goods as well. I definitely will be back to try more of their goodies.

Emily was great to work with and very patient with us throughout the wedding planning process. She thoroughly answered all our questions in a timely manner and was our go-to person when we needed! What a great local bakery. From the minute you walk in the awesome smells hit you, and you?re greeted with hellos. A lot of places will say they give a home-town, family experience at their place, Foundry actually does. I came in with my family for lunch yesterday and it was amazing, the staff was friendly and helpful, it was like you could tell the girls behind the counter were happy to be there and they gave the kiddos stickers at the end. If you want a place to take your family where you will feel right at home while still getting some delicious food, I couldn't recommend the Foundry enough.

Albion is lucky to have this place. The food is really good here. They sell a variety of sandwiches, doughnuts, and other foods and they also make cakes and all the other things you look for at an actual bakery. The staff is amazing here. Conveniently located across the street from the DMV. If you need to head over to get your vehicles all set up, come early and have one of their breakfast sandwiches. They come on a fresh bun, made here. The sandwich was really good.

I have to give a huge shoutout to all the staff at the foundry! They not only killed it when it came to decorating the items I ordered for my daughter?s birthday party, they offered some extra treats just because the dates were mixed up. Which they didn?t need to do. They were still able to get them out very timely the same day I needed them. Everything was beyond standard here and you can taste it in every bite. First and foremost The Foundry has delicious food and baked goods. Emily has high standards that come through in every aspect of her business. The customer service is superior and the facility is always clean and inviting. I highly recommend them!

I love their coffee. Their food is great too. Soups are homemade. Doughnuts, cookies, lemon bars, chocolate lasagna, and breads are delicious. 2 years ago I reviewed this place, before the pandemic and in the intervening years they have only gotten better. In addition to outstanding food for takeout, bulk orders for conference meetings, classes and meetings, they also offer pick up meals like chicken and turkey pot pies, lasagna, and mac and cheese dinners for folks to order online and pick up ready to bake at home. I have used them for lunches for The Homer Cancer Support Group, ordering 20 lunches at a time. I am always impressed by the cleanliness, the knowledge of products by the employees and how pleasant they are, not to mention that my order is always ready to go on time ! We have really enjoyed the unique sandwich options and reasonable prices. I would recommend them to other organizations that place big orders and just anyone that likes really good food and bakery items !

This is our first time visiting Foundry Bakehouse and we absolutely loved it. We had lunch there trying several different sandwiches in our group. All were wonderful! The cookies were delicious. There were so many other things we wanted to try but there was no room left to eat it! This is a place we would definitely recommend and would return to often. Sour cream donut.....I have no words. It was so good. I got it multiple times. I don't know what magic they use to make such a hometown shop full of so many delicious types of donuts, but you can tell it's the local hangout. Everyone knows each other's names and greets you with a wave. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face anytime colleagues showed up with a box with your name on it. Don't think twice, go here, your heart and stomach will thank you.

The workers here were very friendly and helpful. There are bagels, donuts, bread and more options. The food was really good. Not the best I've had, but much better than I was expecting for a small city like Albion.

We stopped for lunch after a beautiful hike. We had the soup and sandwiches and they were all fantastic. The owner and her daughter went above and beyond helping me with avoiding things I?m allergic to. This is going to become a new favorite! It was wonderful! I highly recommend it!

I get goodies for various meetings from them and they are always prompt with the order and the food is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the "Breakfast Bites". My son and I visited the bakery for the first time today. We got there at 10:30 and discovered that we were too late for breakfast and too early for lunch--which is fair. I have had lunch there often, and I always hear restaurants say "home cooked meal", and I thought that was not logical....But the foundry feels like it was homemade, and fresh out of the oven! The sandwich's have unique names that relate to the history of Albion and its foundries. In a town that is going through a renaissance, you have to stop here and enjoy the delicious sandwiches! The Foundry Bakehouse is outstanding. I would give the Foundry a rating of six stars (or more), if I could. Our best day is when we go to the Foundry to get a meal or baked goods. We eat a delicious lunch on-site, or pick up a delicious lunch, including delicious cookies, brownies, and other treats. While there, we pick up a loaf of bread to take home. Do not miss the Foundry!

I have had so many delicious baked treats and sandwiches from the Foundry! I especially love the cookie decorating kits and doughnuts. I?ve always had superb customer service, especially from a person named Maddie. Highly recommend!

Had lunch at the Foundry Bakehouse with a Build Your Own sandwich. Ciabatta Bread, Ham, Swiss Cheese and Mayo. Everything was great, bread was fresh and the protein was high quality. For desert I had an M&M cookie that was fresh and soft just out of the oven. Great place for lunch in Albion

Stopped by early this morning. It was clear the cash register was having some trouble, but despite that the young woman working the counter was as patient and friendly as can be. Really excellent costomer service! The food was delicious as well!

Its been a pleasure working near this wonderful establishment. The Foundry has a very diverse menu that continues to expand. Along with that, they've really helped me expand my palette since it opened up in downtown Albion. I never imagined having apple slices on a sandwich, but the Cope is one of my absolute favorites, such a nice light sandwich and the granny smith slices add a bite i never knew i was missing! I come to the Foundry often when I pass through Albion on work trips. While I'm usually thrilled by the service and food, today I was a little disappointed. While the food was still amazing as always, the two girls working the front counter (both dark haired) seemed a bit rude, at the very least they both had some attitude. I don't want this review to discourage anybody from trying the Foundry, but I was disappointed with my service this morning.

Great addition to downtown! This place is a great place to hang out and watch what's happening on Superior Street. I especially love the Salted Caramel cake donut, which i pick up every chance i get. The sandwiches are fresh and unique; i love the Flask (chicken salad). We've tried their "Take and Bake" options too - terrific!

I know the other reviews for this place were 5 stars, but I also see that they're both from awhile ago. I just moved to Albion a couple of weeks ago and was ecstatic to see a bakery within walking distance of my home. But when I went inside I was unfortunately unimpressed with them. There were maybe 3 goodies in the case and two choices for bread. And I think the only bagels available were plain. And they have no other drinks than regular coffee. Just tried the Foundry for the first time - very impressed! The atmosphere is cool. The food was delicious. All the staff members were courteous; greeting you as you walked in and wishing you a good day as you left. They were even nice to each other amidst the lunch rush. I'm definitely heading back again and again!

Delicious sandwich on homemade bread. The potato salad was awesome too as well as the coffee (they have their own beans and they make a good cup of Joe :) ... Of course couldn't leave without trying a sour cream donut. Omg so yummy. Friendly people work here too. I would totally come back if I was in the area again.

Excellent baked goods! I've been here before but forgot to review it. Today I tried an eggnog donut. Well done! I really did taste lake an "eggnoggy," glazed donut. The texture was wonderful! It wasn't too soft or firm, and glazed but somehow not sticky. The soup was good too, though it could've used a little more salt (Though I'd rather have too little than too much).

It's lovely bakery with a decent selection keeping in mind this is a relatively small town. The staff was helpful. I love that they open very early like a real bakery, so you can have breakfast there before going to work! There's a good environment, it feels almost like a bakery in France. The surroundings are also very inviting, it's next to a beautiful main street that is perfect for a walk.

The donuts. I consider myself a lover of exquisite donuts. I'm not a fan of the crescent donuts from Hinkley's. Some of the donuts from QD are pretty good. The donuts from Voodoo Donuts (the true donuts foodies out there know what I'm talking about) are good, but expensive and kinda more about presentation. Not enough loves for this place. The soups and sandwiches are yummy, and the pasties....oh my! Key lime squares and lemon bars are to die for, and the lemon cookies might be my favorite. I would like to start out by saying, the food is amazing. Especially the deli food. However, the tall girl with the red curly hair, seems to be manager? She is very unprofessional and rude to staff. On more than one occasion, I overheard her be blatantly disrespectful to an employee. The young lady, I believe her name is Chris, and I were discussing sandwich combinations, and the tall red headed girls came and butted in and said some negative and demeaning things about Chris?s opinion on our conversation.

I have had every sandwich on the menu, nearly all of the soups, most of the cookies, and various other treats. They are all wonderful, and very reasonably priced. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming, and the space is a wonderful addition to downtown.

The food, service, and atmosphere here are amazing for this small town. In response to the 2 star rating about fewer available baked good choices, that comes from serving a small community. Dear foundry, I enjoy your donuts. Your coffee is good as well. However, your lids do not seal the coffee in well enough and it leaks. Wonderful.... I went in not expecting what I found! The inside was beautifully done with an new but old school feel...... and clean clean clean. The fresh baked smell was in the air!
