Stopped in here while on vacation and I had to come back before leaving. Everything was delicious and the prices were so much more affordable than any place around me. I just wish I lived closer

Not only are their pastries phenomenal but so are their cakes! The flavor, texture, and decoration are absolute perfection! Thank you so much for a wonderful birthday cake! This character is from one of my favorite shows Bee and Puppycat. They were able to execute the design purrfectly!

First timer. This bakery is fantastic! they offer a variety of goods from cookies and cupcakes, cakes and buns. All delicious. I ordered several desserts, including the mango mousse cake, almond cookie, vanilla swirl cake and cupcake. All super delicious. baked just right. Just found this and took a box home. The price is great. I?d pay a little more for a better filling-to-bread ratio, although the dried pork bun with the topping on both ends rocks. The red bean bun is good too. The other buns need more filling. I?ll definitely be back.

The best bbq roast pork bun everrr !!!! I come from Lakeland and was always able to call them and order ahead so they will have it ready for me when I get there . Many times I've been there and they were out . The owner (the lady) is always very nice and polite . I always get at least 10-15 buns . This time I got 22 buns . Each one was soooo good and fresh .

Wonderful bakery friendly and tastes excellent. We ordered a fresh strawberry cake and they used fresh strawberries, not canned fruit. The sponge cake was not overly sweet and very light. Their mille crepe cakes and baked buns are excellent.

The prices are lower than other chinese bakery. Buns are good, so as the egg tarts. The crepe cake is not really all crepes, a good portion of the bottom is cake, so that is a let down.

I got incredible compliments on my birthday cake from here. The cake is light, bouncy, fluffy and with plenty of cream. My friends loved it so much, I had to take them to the bakery to show them where I got it and all the possible customizations. I got a custom cake with all fresh strawberries and coconut flakes in the cream. They also sell their standards fruit cake by the slice...you MUST try it. Everything is fresh. Definitely an under rated place. Modest interior.

Delicious, fresh and homemade pastries and buns. The lady who helped me was so nice, definitely gave a welcoming feeling. The egg tarts are delicious, super soft and flaky. The red bean and custard buns were great! For $1.39 each for giant buns, the trip over here was well worth it. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Best cake ever! Ordered the strawberry shortcake with filling inside and it was so delicious! Everyone enjoyed. The cake is not too sweet but just right. The inside is fluffy and not dry at all.

Very friendly, it is unfortunate that there is COVID19 now, because I can definitely see why this place is highly rated. I will be coming back regularly. We bought the pineapple bun and the mango roll cake. Both were delicious!! Can't wait to buy more!

A picky eater like myself would never figure a place like this existed. The durian crepe cake is the best I have ever had. It had the right amount of cream to crepe to durian to cake to sweetness level. It was love at first bite!

This place is THE BEST ASIAN BAKERY IN TAMPA! I love coming here and get their baked pork buns, dried pork bun roll, coconut custard bun, and crepe cake! I never go anywhere else but here! This bakery has open for so long and they have the best ingredients! My sister and I order birthday cakes here all the time! They have Durian/Matcha crepe cake or their fruit cake is delicious! Their price is super reasonable! If you have never try their crepe cake, you have too! One piece isn?t enough, you have to buy 2!

The taro buns are so yummy, very soft and tasty. The pineapple buns are also great.

love that its location is closer to Pasco county. The entrance to the bakery is currently through the MD Market. You go inside the store, walk all the way to the back and make a left. Then you?ll be at the bakery. All the products looked quite inviting. You also pay for baked goods at the supermarket cashiers for now.

By far the best buns I?ve had in the Tampa area! My brother?s actually the one who introduced me to this bakery and I?m so glad he did. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Portions are huge. Prices are incredibly competitive. I bought both sweet and savory buns for my coworkers and family to enjoy. They all had nothing but glowing reviews to say about the food. We?ll definitely be back!

Love this place! The pastries are delicious and the people are always so nice. Prices are good for what you get. And the warm buns within the first 2hours of opening are the best thing in the world. Only thing I'd criticize is that the steamed buns need to be refrigerated so getting them at the end of the day is a bad idea unless they're cold to touch. I had to throw out a batch once because of this since it gave me minor food poisoning. :(

This place is okay. In my opinion: The custard bun was decent. It tastes just like its name. The taro crisp is similar to smooth peanut butter once you get past the crispy outer texture. The mung bean cake had a lighter flavor, not as strong as red bean and taro. The pork bun was good and has the flavor of Chinese takeout pork.

I?ve been going here since I was little kid growing up in this area. My family has been ordering our birthday cakes here for over 10 years now. I am sad that this local gem will be closing and moving to MD Oriental Market, but I am happy to drive all the way there for their service and for groceries!

This is a delightful little bakery and I whole-heartedly recommend stopping by if you haven't already. I go at least once a week to pick up some buns/sweets for myself and some colleagues. My personal favorite savory and sweet item is the sausage scallion loaf and the custard bun, respectively.

If you speak Chinese you're good all around, but they do speak and understand basics English to run business. Certainly hard working making hundreds of buns each day. They are kind to me so I come back always.

Lovable Asian Bakery! I'm happy we found the source of baked goodies from the nearby markets. We always stop by when in Tampa, and love ordering ahead of time as well. The clerks are always friendly and you get bonus goodies when you buy in dozens. They have taken precautions during the pandemic for the customer as well as their own safety. <3<3<3 Delicious treats for a really good price! 100% reccomend.

Yummm! We recently moved to the Tampa area and have been craving steamed pork buns! They have all kinds of delicious fresh baked buns and they have bags of precooked steamed buns. I bought a bag to keep in the freezer and have been cooking them as needed. This place is super delicious. The customer service was also amazing! They also seem to be taking COVID seriously and have made necessary changes to protect customers and their team. We appreciate that!

I usually love this place. Great buns, great selection, good prices. However, this morning I was highly disappointed. I drove almost 25 miles to pick up buns as a treat for visiting family. I arrived just after they opened at 9:00, but there were no buns in the display case. I was told that the shop wasn't really open yet. We ordered my daughter?s birthday cake here for the first time. We were impressed with the how they made the customized cake we ordered. their flaky roast pork buns and sponge roll cakes are phenom! Small family owned and great service. was only disappointed with the egg custard tarts as the texture felt like it was too close to gelatin and lacked a strong egg aroma.

This place is wonderful and the prices are great for how many buns you get (ranging from $1.00 to almost $2.00) and they're fairly large too! The staff is really nice and take care of the Bakery really well. It's always been clean of all the times I have been there! I try to go to Fortune Star at least once a week or once every two weeks. Been a customer since late 2015!

This is our new favorite bakery in Tampa. Items are well priced, always fresh and delicious.

I visited today in high anticipation after reading the reviews. I purchased a variety of items. Most favorite was the passion fruit mousse slice. The least favorite was the egg custard, it tasted like sweetened scrambled eggs - so bad I had to spit it into a napkin. Maybe it was an oopsie batch but I don't be returning from that experience.

My family has been ordering cakes here since 2006 or 2007 (can?t remember when exactly, but they have been in business for a long time now). The cakes are amazing?light, fluffy, and not nauseatingly sweet. The other baked goods are delicious as well, but we?re mainly here for birthday cakes. Yes, my family is Chinese (??). They can speak Mandarin if your parents or grandparents aren?t fluent in English. Anyhow, support your local Asian bakeries!

Amazing char siu buns! My Chinese American husband is in heaven eating these. We also got a slice of their matcha crepe cake. Can?t wait to come back!

I was looking for something different and this was spot on! The savory pastries are so good and of course the sweets are great too. Really reasonable prices and friendly folks too. I ask them how long they had been in business and was told 30 years yet I'd never knew. So go try it out and you'll be glad you did.

I've been going here for years! So many excellent options. I love the buns with dried pork and shallots, hot dog bun, coconut and regular custard, as well as the taro buns. A-Mazing.

Bought a party 12 inch cake for a get together. It was light and and everyone loved it. 8 people didn?t finish this cake even with larger pieces. Will get another for sure

Absolutely lovely. Small scale bakery, so get there early because they run out of their most popular items quickly. Think of them as a breakfast place if you're going for pork buns.

This place has delicious oriental pastries mmm. The coconut bread is amazing so is the Tiger Cake. Sooo soft and airy n delicious.

It was a nice bakery. I was on my way to the Chinese grocery store on the other side of the plaza when I noticed this bakery. Their baked goods and smoothies are really good. I will make sure to come back next time I go shopping at ding hao grocery store.

I?ve been coming here for the past 15 years! Their taro buns and taro crispy and pineapple crispys are the best and can only be found here!

Very good quality and also very good decently priced as well. My best choices are crispy roasted pork and sausage scallion bun . Others varieties are also good. Very happy about this place. Highly recommend to everyone.
