If you haven't been here, you need to! Very small little hometown bakery, has been a local favorite for as long as I remember. The new coffee bar is a nice touch. ?? If you happen to score some day old donuts they definitely pile them in, and my kids were more than grateful! The giant sugar cookies are my favorite, so you must try this.
We randomly passed this bakery on our way to my son's cross country meet and decided to give it a try. The service was great and the donuts are definitely one of a kind. We plan to go back soon!
If there is truly an iconic donut to be had in michiana it comes from Foltz. The fried Danish is nothing short of spiritual. This is the donut that I crave and go absolutely out of my way to get. If you want to know what the greatest glazed donut on earth taste like--this is the one to get.
We ordered a birthday cake for my sister. My heart sank when I picked it up, and they opened the box to show me. The entire cake looked like a child had decorated it. The writing was terrible. The flowers looked like someone was just learning how to pipe flowers. The buttercream icing wasn't smooth. I was excited when they told me they could put a raspberry filling between layers instead of buttercream. The filling was uneven, way too thick in places, hardly any filling in other places. They came to my rescue! I needed a cake made asap for my daughter?s 21st birthday party. Not only did they get it done quickly, they decorated it perfectly with the ideas I gave them. It was so good and the frosting is her favorite buttercream! PS-if you are looking for a place for good donuts this is the place as well.
What a gem! Stopped in after it was suggested by the hotel we were staying in. Locally owned, handmade unique delicious desserts. Highly recommended!

Their bread is amazing. Had an apple fritter and bear claw. The doughnuts were good. The bear claw was shaped like a paw with chocolate covered toes and filled with barbarian cream, very cute.
Stopped up here for some doughnuts on the way to Michigan with my parents. I got a fluff-filled chocolate long john and a chocolate sprinkle doughnut. Easily the best doughnuts I've had in my life! My parents got maple bacon and caramel nut, those were delicious too. The lady was very friendly and the atmosphere inside was warm and inviting. If you live in or are ever driving through La Grange, I cannot reccomend this bakery enough!
They are always happy to help you and the donuts are great. I'm going to have to try some of the tasty looking cookies one of these days. Honestly, I look forward to my next trip.

Not the Foktz bakery we remember from years ago. Stopped in on 12/16 and I got a powdered sugar creme filled long john...well creme filled is an understatement as the creme was hard to find in mine. Would post pics if i could. Very disappointed.
We are from out of town and wanted to patron somewhere local. The donuts were delicious and the service was great. We also enjoyed our conversation with the owner.
Not the old Foltzs unfortunately... New owners.. New prices. I paid 30 bucks for a dozen donuts and a few cookies. They also removed the bear claws. That's a show stopper for me.
