Five Daughters Bakery | The Factory at Franklin

I have generally loved Five Daughters Donuts for years, but I?m honestly increasingly disappointed. The more popular they get - the less quality control there is. My husband bought me donuts to surprise me recently - and both the raspberry jam and Boston cream were anything but filled. They were more than half empty with air. At almost $5 a donut - that?s really unacceptable. They should be filled to the brim. This is starting to feel very shamelessly cash-grabby, and a whole lot less wholesome enjoyment.

To say I love the King Kong is an understatement! You can?t go wrong with Five Daughters. It?s a must if you are a donut lover!

Located in The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee at the corner of Franklin Rd and Liberty Pike, this bakery has delicious doughnuts and cookies with some different flavors as well as some traditional flavors. Tasty donuts that are a cross between a croissant and donut. We like the filled donuts like Vanilla, Maple and King Kong. I tried the unfilled original Purist but wasn?t impressed. They are located in the Factory at Franklin and are open until late evening but the options may be limited at that time of day. The packaging is very nice and sturdy.

First of all, The Factory itself is a SUPER cool place to be and this bakery is in the coolest section of the building. But to the cronuts, these 100 layer croissant donuts are top notch. Melt in your mouth, we stuck with the classics to take in their glory.

Wow amazing bakery of the town!! I have never had donuts like here never before. Thanks to all the staff and innovative people. They do put lots of efforts to bring back the single donuts to the plate. Every donut has a unique flavor and you always wants more when you had it once. This place has very nice location too. I can no longer say their 100 layer donuts are light and airy. The last few orders, they're half the height they used to be. Their dense and have lost their flakiness. The BEST donuts I have ever had! We are visiting family and decided to try out The Factory today which is a super cool place, anyway. So when I saw this bakery, It drew me right in. And then? We found a small shop called 5 Daughters Bakery. We loved it! We tried the Vanilla Cream and Strawberry Lemon donuts. They were some of the best donuts we have ever tried! I was on a business trip and the Uber driver said to try these doughnuts because they are the best ever. Well?..I went and bought twenty dollars worth which was 4 doughnuts. They are large but to me there was nothing special about the taste. It has a different texture that was airy like with layers but nothing to write home about. Cute place, delicious doughnuts! First of all, pictures didn't reveal a little surprise. The dough is not your typical doughnut dough. It's more croissant like. Amazingly delicious. We had the chocolate with sprinkles and the lemon berry. Lemon berry had a nice lemon cream inside. Overall, delicious. Give them a try!

We stopped by prior to heading home after visiting the 5th & Broadway location the day before. The donuts are so light and flavorful without the heavy feeling of other donuts. It's too bad we can't get em in Ohio.

After trying to have Cronut at the original Dominic bakery I got a chance to try it here in Franklin. I felt they have very good flavors of cronuts. They have really different flavors and they tasted delicious. I myself just felt they are over sweet a bit but the flavors are there. The place is also clean and in a cute location. Overall I would reccomend this place for a nice Cronut.

These donuts are so unique and delicious! They are definitely pricey for donuts, but I can tell that lots of love and care goes into making them. I?m glad that we stopped to try them. I highly recommend the peppermint patty seasonal one. So yummy!

Five daughter is where I bring family and friends for the best donuts in Nashville. Hidden gem in Nashville, best deal is the dozen donuts. Also they have gluten free donuts as well. The Hong Kong is a fan favorite, but how can you go wrong with maple and bacon. The Purist is the other fan favorite for its simplicity. Either way, you can't go wrong.

What an amazing bakery with ridiculously delicious pastry! Especially the donut/cronuts are delectable and the avocado toast with kale was amazing. The lines are long, but it's well worth it. You can smell the butter wafting out of the bakery which tells toy this place is just yummy! Can't wait to go back with my next visit to the Nashville area.

We got Boston cream donuts - the chocolate is bitter like dark dark chocolate but that?s not the worst of it the cream inside tastes like lemon cream ?. No matter the time of day --- Five Daughters Donuts is a fabulous choice! While it's a good idea to pick up a plastic knife to cut your donuts in halfs or quarters, you'll likely end up eating more than you planned. We have never had a donut here that we regretted eating. There is probably a place somewhere that sells such unique donuts, but I'm not bothering to look for it. And a bonus is that you can walk off some of the calories you ingest here by walking around the Factory!

We haven't found a decent donut shop since moving to Smyrna. We were told that this was a great place for delicious donuts. The line gathered out the door, too. However, the selection was minimal, pricey, and tasted like cake donuts. It wasn't worth the drive from Smyrna to Franklin.

We stopped here for breakfast on our way south after visiting Nashville. It was delicious. We will not only be stopping here again but now plan on a weekend get away to Franklin.

I traveled all the way from Rockport MA just to stop at 5 daughters Bakery on my way to a wedding in Villa Rica GA. It was worth the stop. We bought 2 doz of mixed donuts I?m GF & DF so I got 4 for myself but ended up sharing those. Brought them to the hotel. Everyone was excited to try them. These were, no joke, the best donuts we've ever had. Crispy and flaky outside and a cream filled soft center with great chocolate and coconut on top. Its a seasonal flavor (samoa) but I know the rest will be just as good. They're a little pricy but the perfect 'treat yourself' treat.

Service was great, but the donuts are way overpriced for the quality. They tasted like oil, the filling was almost pure butter. There were flies all over the ones displayed. They tried to give one of the fly ones to my wife and she's like NO I want a fresh one, not one Flys are all over. So she had to change her order to get a fresh one. I was open to the novelty of this experience and purchased a variety of donuts. I was not wowed. I eat mainly farm to table and overall nutritiously dense food rather than high calorie low nutrition. I am atypical so my review will not reflect a common appraisal. We bought two different doughnuts here, they were kinda unpleasant to eat to be honest, we ended up throwing away half of each after we both had a taste of each one. Not sure what made them taste that way.. but they were bland and chalky with hardly any sweetness to them. Really nice staff though... maybe it was just the ones we got.

I was so eager to try this doughnuts because they looked so good and pretty on Instagram and so I went to the Franklin location. Donuts were cute but didn't taste fresh and they were tiny, (4.99 each) also the frosting had an overwhelming taste of butter. Actually, thinking about it. It must have been only butter with a tiny bit of sugar and color. The filling was something like a mix of butter and cream cheese. Hello, 100 Layer Donut! Awesome staff, awesome goodies. Flavors rotate regularly. Milk Chocolate Sea Salt, Maple Glaze, King Kong...hard to pick one favorite. The Quinnamon Roll is also amazing. Vegan and paleo donuts available, too. My kiddo loved the vegan cherry glaze.

I have eaten there a few times and the product is amazing. They use croissant dough to make doughnuts and they taste amazing. They are fluffy and they use amazing materials.

Today I bought two coffees and a couple of doughnuts. Ask for milk and the barista forgot about it. Instead of doing it again he poured milk until overfilling them. Had to toss the coffees. The donuts weren?t fresh at all. 25 usd for a couple of poorly served coffees with stale doughnuts. They should worry about quality.
