I have generally loved Five Daughters Donuts for years, but I?m honestly increasingly disappointed. The more popular they get - the less quality control there is. My husband bought me donuts to surprise me recently - and both the raspberry jam and Boston cream were anything but filled. They were more than half empty with air. At almost $5 a donut - that?s really unacceptable. They should be filled to the brim. This is starting to feel very shamelessly cash-grabby, and a whole lot less wholesome enjoyment.
To say I love the King Kong is an understatement! You can?t go wrong with Five Daughters. It?s a must if you are a donut lover!
Located in The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee at the corner of Franklin Rd and Liberty Pike, this bakery has delicious doughnuts and cookies with some different flavors as well as some traditional flavors. They sell coffee and cans of cold brew. We had the apple fritter and lemon-strawberry strawberry shortcake doughnuts. We were both pleased with our choices. The staff are friendly and helpful. These are more expensive doughnuts ($5-$6ish each) so go in with realistic expectations. There is seating in the
Five Daughters bakery at the factory in Franklin was a delicious little doughnut shop I did not get much just a maple doughnut the doughnut was a good size and very good there is a cream filling in the doughnut that I was not expecting so it was a nice little surprise very good very sweet service was excellent very nice workers the shop is in the factory and the factory in general was a really nice little shopping center
Tasty donuts that are a cross between a croissant and donut. We like the filled donuts like Vanilla, Maple and King Kong. I tried the unfilled original Purist but wasn?t impressed. They are located in the Factory at Franklin and are open until late evening but the options may be limited at that time of day. The packaging is very nice and sturdy.
???? Donut Miss This Place! ???? ?? Five Daughters Bakery in The Factory at Franklin If heaven had a smell, we?re pretty sure it would be the inside of Five Daughters Bakery ?? The moment we stepped through the doors, the sweet, buttery aroma wrapped around us like a warm hug ? and let us tell you? we were powerless to resist! ????? These aren?t just donuts ? they?re edible works of art! We tried the classic 100 Layer Donut (hello, cronut magic! ??) and the maple glaze that made us weak in the knees. Eve
First of all, The Factory itself is a SUPER cool place to be and this bakery is in the coolest section of the building. But to the cronuts, these 100 layer croissant donuts are top notch. Melt in your mouth, we stuck with the classics to take in their glory.
Wow amazing bakery of the town!! I have never had donuts like here never before. Thanks to all the staff and innovative people. They do put lots of efforts to bring back the single donuts to the plate. Every donut has a unique flavor and you always wants more when you had it once. This place has very nice location too. You can spend a very nice time at this location by exploring other stores too. Must visit place in the town.
I can no longer say their 100 layer donuts are light and airy. The last few orders, they're half the height they used to be. Their dense and have lost their flakiness. When I purchase seasonal flavors, they don't always come as shown in the display case or online. This order the spiced honey cheesecake donut was missing the honey drizzle on top. Not worth the cost like they used to be. Light, airy, and delicious 100 layer Donuts. The triple raspberry is an upscale version of a jelly-filled donut. I can't wa
Five Daughters Bakery, located in The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee, is home to what are probably the best donuts I've ever had in my life. These donuts are so unbelievably good that I boxed them up and drove them all the way back to Canada just to share them with my family. Fair warning?these donuts are highly addictive! If you don't live close by, you might find yourself disappointed because finding anything as good elsewhere is nearly impossible. I believe they said they use a cake batter base for the
The BEST donuts I have ever had! We are visiting family and decided to try out The Factory today which is a super cool place, anyway. So when I saw this bakery, It drew me right in. And then? I saw the cookies and the donuts are absolutely HUGE! Say no more? I had to give them a try. We got the purist, cinnamon sugar, strawberry and a sugar cookie. OMG all of them were absolutely incredible. I only wish we lived closer so that I could have these donuts more often.
One of the worst donuts I've ever had. Let me explain...we went later in the day so the selection was limited. This was my first time at Five Daughters Donuts so admittedly I was inexperienced with their system. We selected a couple of the standard donuts which were just fine but we also ordered two Strawberry Shortcake donuts and one peach fritter. My wife took a bite of the strawberry donut and immediately spit it out. I thought there's no way it could be that bad so I took a bite and it was like taking a
My wife and I stopped in to walk through The Factory. It is an interesting location with many places to shop. We were enticed by smells of fresh baked goods. We found a small shop called 5 Daughters Bakery. We loved it! We tried the Vanilla Cream and Strawberry Lemon donuts. They were some of the best donuts we have ever tried! We highly recommend it and we will definitely try it again. It was a little expensive but worth it!
I was on a business trip and the Uber driver said to try these doughnuts because they are the best ever. Well?..I went and bought twenty dollars worth which was 4 doughnuts. They are large but to me there was nothing special about the taste. It has a different texture that was airy like with layers but nothing to write home about. I should have tried just one first but thought I?d take some home. These are overrated to me.
So the doughnuts were good. Not great. I think the hype surrounding these pastries keep the company in business, and they are pretty unique. But we were expecting something a little more dramatic taste wise. The vanilla cream frosting was very buttery. We felt we were eating a stick of butter, and they weren't as sweet as we had hoped. If you like Parlor Doughnuts, it's not up to that level. Basically, it just wasn't unique and tasty enough for us to choose this place over Krispy Kreme, assumi
Cute place, delicious doughnuts! First of all, pictures didn't reveal a little surprise. The dough is not your typical doughnut dough. It's more croissant like. Amazingly delicious. We had the chocolate with sprinkles and the lemon berry. Lemon berry had a nice lemon cream inside. Overall, delicious. Give them a try!
We stopped by prior to heading home after visiting the 5th & Broadway location the day before. The donuts are so light and flavorful without the heavy feeling of other donuts. It's too bad we can't get em in Ohio.
After trying to have Cronut at the original Dominic bakery I got a chance to try it here in Franklin. I felt they have very good flavors of cronuts. They have really different flavors and they tasted delicious. I myself just felt they are over sweet a bit but the flavors are there. The place is also clean and in a cute location. Overall I would reccomend this place for a nice Cronut.
These donuts are so unique and delicious! They are definitely pricey for donuts, but I can tell that lots of love and care goes into making them. I?m glad that we stopped to try them. I highly recommend the peppermint patty seasonal one. So yummy!
Five daughter is where I bring family and friends for the best donuts in Nashville. Hidden gem in Nashville, best deal is the dozen donuts. Also they have gluten free donuts as well. The Hong Kong is a fan favorite, but how can you go wrong with maple and bacon. The Purist is the other fan favorite for its simplicity. Either way, you can't go wrong.
What an amazing bakery with ridiculously delicious pastry! Especially the donut/cronuts are delectable and the avocado toast with kale was amazing. The lines are long, but it's well worth it. You can smell the butter wafting out of the bakery which tells toy this place is just yummy! Can't wait to go back with my next visit to the Nashville area.
We got Boston cream donuts - the chocolate is bitter like dark dark chocolate but that?s not the worst of it the cream inside tastes like lemon cream ?. When you expect vanilla filling and it?s lemon you have to wonder ?was it a mistake ? or did the cream filling turn ??? tossed out $25. In the garbage !
I ate all of them before I even got a chance to take a picture!! Quite literally the best donuts ever. Im vegan but my husband isn?t so we got both kinds and were both blown away. Also, the customer service was top notch. He was so helpful and made us feel at home!
These donuts are good and like nothing I?ve had anywhere else, however they are very expensive for what they are. I was shocked that 6 donuts cost $29. Were they good? Yes. Would I spend that much for donuts ever again? Nope! They do have gluten free options as well.
Update! Still as yummy and amazing as the first time! Super cute shop, there was a line but it went fast! Donuts are priced fairly and omg they are delicious! Staff was so sweet.
The lady that was helping us was so nice and helpful. She answered all of our questions! She went on to explain how her donuts were made. We also bought a dozen donuts cause we couldn't decide between the all lol and they were amazing can't wait to go back!
They have gotten the best freaky donuts I ever had in my lifetime & nashville ( 100 layer ) will definitely be back on other vacation to Nashville Thanks Lady's keep up the work...and a special thanks to the locals you're the best.....
SO WORTH IT! The staff Monday morning were so sweet and helpful. It was my first time at any of the locations and they answered my questions and gave suggestions. I saw an Instagram reel about this place and knew I had to check it out when I was visiting family in the area. Everyone deeply enjoyed their treat and we are all excited to get some more. Super cute store as well. Thank you!
No matter the time of day --- Five Daughters Donuts is a fabulous choice! While it's a good idea to pick up a plastic knife to cut your donuts in halfs or quarters, you'll likely end up eating more than you planned. We have never had a donut here that we regretted eating. There is probably a place somewhere that sells such unique donuts, but I'm not bothering to look for it. And a bonus is that you can walk off some of the calories you ingest here by walking around the Factory!
This spot is in the Factory at Franklin. Five Daughters Bakery offers a delightful experience for donut enthusiasts. The bakery is renowned for its 100-layer donuts, a croissant-donut hybrid. One standout is the ?King Kong,? a maple bacon donut. Jensen is very happy about her find.
Yummy donuts and cookies and cronuts! Great flavors and drinks also. Seating right outside or at the rest of the mall. Cronuts are amazing. Icing is very good and they are fresh.
I absolutely love these donuts. They are more like cronuts, and they are so addicting. A little pricey (around $5 a donut), but they are worth it, and a nice treat from time to time. My favorites are the King Kong (maple bacon) and Chocolate Sea Salt. Definitely stop by if you are in the area.
These used to be so good when they first opened, but the quality has continued to go down over the years. We used to buy a box of assorted 100 layer donuts every time we were in the area because they were so good. As the business grew and additional locations opened it seemed that they just weren't as good, so we haven't gone many times in the last couple years. Today we were in town so stopped and got 2 donuts and paid a little over $11. We were so disappointed because they were barely edible. They were so
AMAZING! What a TREAT ?????????? Happy to support local, small business. The 100 layer was ?? percent Worth it! Once in a while I go off keto to enjoy life's pleasures, do it...you're worth it...enjoy the doughnuts ?? ?? ??
The one doughnut to rule all doughnuts! The cronut takes your standard morning on a journey of taste. It takes your understanding of a well made breakfast sweet treat to a level you never thought possible. Who makes the best ones and where should you take a road trip to get them? Five Daughters Bakery? preferably in their Franklin location but they are all phenomenal. Now please don?t be alarmed by the cost because you can?t compare a Coach bag to an Aldi bag. The cost per doughnut seemed high till I had
Really good donuts, but could be considered desert. They are like mini cakes and really big. If you like an unorthodox donut choices then you will appreciate this place. But if you like more of a classic glaze this place won?t scratch that itch.
Tucked away in the shadow of Belmont University is one of the most charming donut shops I've ever been. "But you spent $46 on a half dozen donuts, a cup of donut holes, and 2 drinks!" I'd do it again. And probably will on my way back to KCMO one week from today. My personal favorites although they all looked delicious! 3rd place - The Purist, Vanilla 2nd place - Maple 1 st place - BlackBerry Basil
Simply the best boutique donut you will ever put in your mouth ... They may be as good as a HOT Krispy Kreme.. the jury is still out on that one. Yum and tasty. We want one in the Smoky Mountains. Here are some architectural ideas. ????
Easily the best donuts I've ever had! Although they are pricey, The taste absolutely justified the cost. I'll certainly have to explore how to fit these more into my life. It's truly hard to taste another donut after having these from Five Daughters Bakery. Love the Scripture on the box as well!
100-layer, gourmet doughnuts, using high-quality ingredients and taking days to make. You can find gluten-free and Paleo friendly options as well! Located inside the Factory at Franklin, you can shop, eat, grab coffee, and enjoy a yummy doughnut! ????
Really like the type/style of doughnuts. The cinnamon roll one was great while a few of the others were a little stale for being mid afternoon.
We haven't found a decent donut shop since moving to Smyrna. We were told that this was a great place for delicious donuts. The line gathered out the door, too. However, the selection was minimal, pricey, and tasted like cake donuts. It wasn't worth the drive from Smyrna to Franklin.
We stopped here for breakfast on our way south after visiting Nashville. It was delicious. We will not only be stopping here again but now plan on a weekend get away to Franklin.
Great location with great service! If you?ve never had a 100-layer donut from Five Daughters Donuts, it is probably on par with the feeling you would get if God gave you a warm hug. All in all, one of the best donuts I have ever eaten and would certainly recommend!
This place is great so cute. The ladies help us out so much and give good details on these wonderful doughnuts.
The lemon blueberry donut is to die for! The shops themselves are a little bland really giving crumbl but the donuts are bomb asf and the staff is really nice at both locations I've been to
I traveled all the way from Rockport MA just to stop at 5 daughters Bakery on my way to a wedding in Villa Rica GA. It was worth the stop. We bought 2 doz of mixed donuts I?m GF & DF so I got 4 for myself but ended up sharing those. Brought them to the hotel. Everyone was excited to try them. All said they were DELICIOUS ???? they are the best GF & DF donuts ever. Please move to Boston area hahahaIt will be a big hit here. Maybe I could open up a small shop just DF & GF ??????????????
These were, no joke, the best donuts we've ever had. Crispy and flaky outside and a cream filled soft center with great chocolate and coconut on top. Its a seasonal flavor (samoa) but I know the rest will be just as good. They're a little pricy but the perfect 'treat yourself' treat.
Incredible donuts!! Quick service and the staff were kind and helpful when it came to picking flavors and knowing which were vegan and which were not. Definitely will be going back sometime in the near future, they were absolutely delicious!!
One of the best bakeries we?ve ever had, it?s hard to order anything you won?t like! Most recently we had the eggnog croissant doughnut and oh wow that was amazing. This is a stop we make whenever anyone is in town or we are heading out of town it?s great to bring a few with us as a gift.
Very happy helpful people and cute store front. They have very good glutin free donuts.
Always a great place for some perfect doughnuts. Definitely a must!
I had heard about these from others, and so glad we stopped in on Sunday before heading out of town. The staff was quick and friendly, and the donuts were like dessert! I was impressed with the selections, and went with the staff recommendations. Soooooo good! (FYI - the bacon piece missing in this picture is 100% my fault)
Service was great, but the donuts are way overpriced for the quality. They tasted like oil, the filling was almost pure butter. There were flies all over the ones displayed. They tried to give one of the fly ones to my wife and she's like NO I want a fresh one, not one Flys are all over. So she had to change her order to get a fresh one. The girl working was very sweet but the food isn't great. I did eat the whole thing simply because of what I paid for it.
My first visit to The Factory of Franklin. I was lost but was quickly discovered & picked up by the staff of Five Daughters Bakery who led me to their shop. It was alright & I loved The Doughnuts.
What is NOT to love? This could possibly be the world's most delicious "hybrid" donut?? They say there's over 100 layers packed into these donuts, and no argument here. They take donuts to a whole, new level. Trust me, you'll be a fan?????
I've been here so many times now that I sincerely had to leave a review. Slowly, the gluten-free options in middle tennessee are expanding.....and this bakery NAILS IT with their gluten-free delicacies. Oddly enough, I don't have the biggest sweet-tooth; which is why I love whatever they're doing here. There's a balance of flavor, not just a straight sugarbomb in your mouth. The gals are nothing but sweet and fun every time I swing by, and they always have recommendations! I've been happy with every single
Always friendly and donuts are tasty! Today the ladies made our day and made our daughter?s birthday extra special. We couldn?t decide which mini doughnut to get, so the sweet ladies gave us a 2 for 1 deal. It was so unexpected and truly delighted us. Earlier this morning, I tried to get a chocolate donut at a different local donut shop and they tasted terrible and went straight in the trash. So, receiving a free donut for my girl?s special day made up for the bad experience at the other shop. Always go to
This bakery is nice and clean. The peanut butter jam cookie was delicious. Very suprised that the cookie was not dry. Costumer service is just ok, nothing special. They could communicate more and be friendlier.
Friendly staff and delicious donuts! We got one of every flavor and it was so good! I recommend heating them up in a toaster oven at home! It is in a cute building with little shops and places for coffee and sitting.
Go here to get delicious gluten-free donuts that are paleo. Also they have gluten-free cookies that are very satisfying. There's usually a line and they run out quickly of certain types, but they're well worth it.
THE BEST DONUTS IN NASHVILLE! I come here every chance I get! It?s 100 layers of goodness! The staff at this location were very nice and friendly and ready to help! The donuts are worth every dollar!!
Oh my gooooosh.. Wow, wow, wow! I thought these were donuts. They aren't! They are actually an amazingly light and rich multi-layered french pastry in the shape of donut! Crazy tasty. I guess that is why they call them 100 layer donuts. If these little hubs of heaven can legally be called donuts then I have just found the best donut shop in the world. I just ate a butterscotch donut and it was super luscious. Wonderful white glaze with caramel drizzle topping, super flakey multilayered pastry inside, and
Way too much sugar, cannot taste and enjoy the flavors. Actually couldn't tell the difference between the Maple, Cheesecake, or chocolate flavored donuts - all just overloaded on sugar.
Love cronuts and Five Daughters make some really amazing ones. This location is inside The Factory Mall so there is plenty of parking most days.
I was open to the novelty of this experience and purchased a variety of donuts. I was not wowed. I eat mainly farm to table and overall nutritiously dense food rather than high calorie low nutrition. I am atypical so my review will not reflect a common appraisal. I also wouldn't eat a fried stick of butter at the state fair opting instead for an expertly created authentic Parisienne croissant or baguette (even the flour is different than in US.) Let me add, if given a choice I would buy...and enjoy Five D
We bought two different doughnuts here, they were kinda unpleasant to eat to be honest, we ended up throwing away half of each after we both had a taste of each one. Not sure what made them taste that way.. but they were bland and chalky with hardly any sweetness to them. Really nice staff though... maybe it was just the ones we got.
I was so eager to try this doughnuts because they looked so good and pretty on Instagram and so I went to the Franklin location. Donuts were cute but didn't taste fresh and they were tiny, (4.99 each) also the frosting had an overwhelming taste of butter. Actually, thinking about it. It must have been only butter with a tiny bit of sugar and color. The filling was something like a mix of butter and cream cheese. I'm sorry, I see a lot of people like this donuts but I really didn't. Just my opinion.
?? I think those were the best donuts I?ve ever had!
I wasn't too impressed. The prices are high for a doughnut, but the one i got was not fresh and most likely was a couple of days old (dry).
the 5 Daughter Bakery at the Factory at Franklin is an amazing spot to indulge in delectable pastries. The modern, minimalist decor showcases an enticing array of freshly baked goods, including standouts like the Pumpkin Spice Latte Doughnut available in both full-size and mini versions. The baked treats are all delightfully sweet, and the friendly service completes the overall great experience.
Long line means a good sign, right? This absolutely true for this bakery. Great donuts and friendly service. Too bad not enough seating. They have doughnuts, cronuts, GF goodies, donut holes, cold and warm drinks.
Cute little bakery in The Factory. Great selection and gluten free options. Rich and filling!
I'm from Portland and have had VooDoo Donuts many times. These blow them out of the water!!!
We ordered the peach fritter, lemon ice box, Boston creme, and chocolate eclair donuts. The layered donuts were good, but the chocolate eclair one was a little dried out. Unfortunately, the yeast raised donuts were absolutely terrible. The peach fritter had maybe 2 small pieces of peach on it. The texture was very dry and similar to a loaf of regular bread. I thought maybe it was due to the vegan ingredients, but the Boston creme yeast raised donut had the same dry texture problem. There was also an extreme
The staff is so pleasant. Difficult to choose which doughnuts to try. Will definitely need to go again. Had the King Kong, which is not in the picture because it was eaten first, with bacon on top! Yum!
1. We went bc people were hyping it up so we were excited when we visited The Factory. All hype, 711 donuts at best. 2. Overpriced for mid donuts. 3. The worst of all?the employees. Horrible customer service. Two of them were just standing there while one was looking so bored with her elbows on the counter, talking amongst themselves and had to tell what we wanted three times until we finally got helped. Two stars bc The Factory is a great place.
Fresh baked doughnuts and other pastries. I got the orange cinnamon roll very light and flaky. Coffe was good too.
Literally doughnuts from heaven. It's basically crossiant batter or some nectar of the gods. I frequented here 3-4 times in a 8 day span...
Get the doughnuts they are soo good ! ! ! The cookies where mid a little dry and hard.. skip them .
I don't know, I didn't get the hype about what people were raving about. I went in for the first time, on a Saturday afternoon. The line was out the door, but the shop is small. I get to the counter and let them know it's my first time, they stare at me. I ask what's the difference in the donuts since they're separated, she explained and looks at me. Then I take a while to guess because it's not like she was recommending anything to try other than the croissant donut is what they're popular for. I didn't en
Best doughnuts around! They specialize in 100 layer croughnut style doughnuts? and they are out of this world.
Good Morning, doughnuts were sweet and tasty and very sugary. We did enjoy but don?t overbuy
Hello, 100 Layer Donut! Awesome staff, awesome goodies. Flavors rotate regularly. Milk Chocolate Sea Salt, Maple Glaze, King Kong...hard to pick one favorite. The Quinnamon Roll is also amazing. Vegan and paleo donuts available, too. My kiddo loved the vegan cherry glaze.
I have eaten there a few times and the product is amazing. They use croissant dough to make doughnuts and they taste amazing. They are fluffy and they use amazing materials.
Today I bought two coffees and a couple of doughnuts. Ask for milk and the barista forgot about it. Instead of doing it again he poured milk until overfilling them. Had to toss the coffees. The donuts weren?t fresh at all. 25 usd for a couple of poorly served coffees with stale doughnuts. They should worry about quality.
We tried several donuts here during our last trip to Nashville. They were very good. Make sure to get at least 4 lol.
OMG!! The cronuts are so heavenly. I had the vanilla and salted chocolate and they were so scrumptious it was hard not to eat both right away. My husband got the pumpkin and smore and they were to die for.
