So far we've tried the vanilla cream and the sugar cookie donut which was seasonal. It was very good, really encapsulated what we wanted a cronut to be. The vanilla cream was a bit disappointing - cream was great but the donut itself was more a croissant than a donut, at least for what we wanted/expected. I think the lack of glaze on it is what took it away from being a donut for me.
If you told me I was about to drop $23 on four donuts, I wouldn?t believe you. But I did. I bought four donuts and they were the four best donuts I ever had. They are layered like croissants or biscuits. They were not greasy nor were they overly sweet. Thank goodness I do not live here or I would be eating these donuts way too often. If you haven?t tried them, you should. Do it.
I love this little market area! I will say though, even though I like these little treats, I think I still prefer traditional donuts. I also think the minis are definitely the way to go. Our favorite was the cinnamon purist but we did really enjoy the cold brew large donut and that was probably our second favorite.
The best donuts I've ever had! This is not your regular donut! The many layers of the donuts is pure perfection. My favorite was the vanilla cream! It has the cream as a topping and a filling. This location is inside and has plenty of seating. Will be coming back for sure!
Great donuts and service! Fave was blueberry lemon out of the various ones
I love the Donuts! Who doesn?t, but if you haven?t tried Five Daughters Bakery you?re missing out. These donuts are addictive, light and very tasty. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is always friendly. The offer different flavors monthly which keeps you coming back. Check them out, their donuts are very delicious!
I will start off by saying gentlemen was helpful and friendly. He didn?t mind answering me and my friends questions. Please note I suggest liking fillings and frostings on your cronuts. It?s hard not to want to try all of them honestly, all options looked amazing! We tried the vanilla cream, sticky bun, King Kong (maple and bacon), parent trap, carrot cake cookie and Oreo cream cookie. My favorite was the sticky bun, hands down! It was flaky, has cinnamon sugar in it with candied pecans. So yummy! King Kon
These donuts were absolutely fantastic! Just one was enough to leave us feeling satisfied. The service was excellent, and the food was top-notch. Additionally, they offer a wonderful variety of vegan options. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking delicious treats and great service.
Yeast raised apple fritter may financially ruin me. Beyond comprehension how good this is. I?m not a big sweets person, but this was amazing. Got it on a whim. Have purchased 4 in last week. This isn?t like me. Am I?.. in love?
Ever changing menu to keep you coming back! ?? The new spring flavors have really impressed me. I love the gluten-free options and mini doughnut options. Located in the L&L market, it's a great location to get some doughnuts to go as you shop, have coffee, or dinner.
SO SO GOOD! Donut hack - if you want to try more than one flavor without over filling yourself: get a regular and compliment it with a mini! I got a mini purist (WOW best glazed donut) and the regular lemon blueberry with a honey latte. The latte was so good and paired perfectly with the lemon blueberry donut - which had lemon curd in the middle of the layers!
Best donut I have ever had! This is a MUST when in Nashville! We went late in the day, so there wasn?t a lot left to choose from. I highly recommend the ones we got! The Lemon IceBox and the Purist are Absolutely Amazing!
The lady working made my birthday so special!! I told her to pick a donut flavor to help me try something new and she did!! The maple glazed was soooo good and she made it so special for me I will never forget
Took a spontaneous trip to Nashville with my wife and we love trying donuts in every town we visit. We found Five Sisters on yelp and I?m so glad we came here! It?s a small shop located inside the L&L market on the second floor. The donuts here was amazing! Each were so different! Some of them were made with a beautiful dough and others were cronuts! I love it when donut shops don?t make every donut the same and just change the topping, that gets boring. Their selection was so pretty and well displayed whic
Who doesn't love a good Donut? They specialize in a croissant type Donut that comes in layers. I got the triple raspberry and it was delicious. Each layer you peel away is a different taste. I really enjoyed the strawberry lemonade as well wish I would have bought more of it. Inside a bigger complex with all kinds of good food available.
Amazing Cronuts! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I went first thing on a Sunday morning and it was worth getting up early for. If your not sure what flavor to try first go with a variety of minis and be sure to try the seasonal flavors!
Cronuts were DELICIOUS! Better than normal donuts! They also have a filling in them that hit the spot! If you have a sweet tooth, give this place a go!
Flies were swarming and landing on the donuts in the case. This was pointed out to the worker who proceeded to charge us full price for the donuts. She swatted at the flies with her ungloved hands instead of discarding of the insect ridden goods. Unfortunate first experience at this establishment.
If there is a better made donut anywhere in the United States I haven't tasted anything better than this place right here!!! From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave it's a 1st class experience. The donuts are called 100 layer for a reason and although they are not cheap they are worth every penny. On our last day here we went and bought a dozen extra to bring brack to friends and family so they could taste just how good they are . Top notch and will definitely go back
Gourmet describes the delicious works of art. I?ve loved these donuts for years, I can?t have them often, but they never ever disappoint!!
I have been looking forward to coming back to Nashville for these donuts. Definitely a gourmet donut and in a class of their own. Best non traditional donut I have had. They sell out, so get there early. Check SoshMeed for flavors of the month.
If I could give more than five stars, I would. These are the best donut-pastry I?ve ever had. The mixing of flavors and the soft flaky dough is delicious! Let?s clarify something, these aren?t technically a ?donut?. These are more like a dessert pastry, fried, sugar-filled, heavenly piece of love. If you?re looking for a traditional donut, you may be a bit overwhelmed. They are a little expensive but it?s difficult to make cronuts especially as intense as these. I definitely recommend trying them. I do not
All's I had was a vanilla cream donut and was splendid. Lots of sweetness to say the least. Turns out that's their most sold donut. Can be pricey though. Costs over $5 just for one. Curious to see their other offers
Best donut place ever . Period We got the layered vanilla cream and the chocolate donut layered with salted chocolate. Both were so good. Definitely a must if you are having your cheat day
I love that there are some mini options to get to try more doughnuts. And OMG the cream cheese pecan doughnut was one of the best things I?ve ever eaten.
Easily the best doughnuts I?ve ever had! Sweet but not overpowering! Each layer of flavor is pronounced, and their 100 layer baking style adds to the decadence.
Fantastic donuts! Enjoyed that it was not a traditional donut, it was much lighter. Good flavors. I was glad that they had mini donuts so you can try more than 1 flavor.
Another location but all my favorite offerings! So buttery and not too sweet. That matcha oatmilk sweet cream was just the best. Can't go wrong with their vanilla one. Located in a food hall so peruse the lil building. Newly gentrified so I felt a ways about the splintered community of color within this development area and nothing changing. Good donuts tho.
These donuts are absolutely, insanely amazing. We get them EVERY time we come to TN and like to say that they?re the best donuts on this side of heaven. 100% go if you get the chance. ??
The donuts are delicious and the staff is very friendly. A must try during your visit in Nashville!
everything looked so fantastic in the case, my cinnamon roll was raw and just awful, was astonished. the hot chocolate donut was also not so good. so so so extremely and supremely disappointed. I'm truly at loss for words. Will try another location to see if it warrants an update.
If you like traditional donuts, then this is not the place for you. But if you feel feisty and want to explore some donuts off the beaten path then by all means try away. However, the donuts are very sweet and you may only want to try a bite of each. The lemon blueberry was by far my favorite because it wasn't as sweet.
Five Daughters Bakery is a family owned business, that was formed by a pair of food loving New Yorkers, Manhattaners to be exact. They brought there love of food, along with their daughters to the Tennessee. Quality ingredients, high standards is what sets them apart. Various locations in the Nashville area. I tried the one in the L&L Market.
These doughnuts never disappoint! The flaky layers are the star of the show with the supporting cast of the various flavors.
A wonderful change from traditional donuts. The cute market adds to the ambiance. Great little spot to get a sweet treat and enjoy a quiet morning date.
Best doughnuts I?ve ever had. Like ever. Doughnut reinvent the wheel unless you do it like five daughters bakery
A must have. Beyond good. Donuts made with croissant bread! They take around 3 days to make them, they are a specialty. Also the gluten free/paleo one is worth trying too.
the donuts are good but both times we went in the span of 3 days, the girl behind the counter was rude. n it was a different girl each time.
Amazing! The fine layers on the donut make it a cross between a light pastry with the flavor of a donut. So unusual and incredibly delicious.
best donuts in Nashville, Tennessee
Best donuts that I've ever had. Super amazing. We started to make a second stop on our way back through Nashville. Person behind the register couldn't care less about serving us tho. But the donuts saved the experience.
Best doughnut I have ever had ! ?? ?? ??
I got the Purist and it was absolutely delicious! I can?t wait to come back and try more flavors! :)
Best donuts I have ever had so far. The 100 layer donuts are amazing. However, not a fan of the yeast donuts they have.
Probably the best donuts I'll ever have and they need to be a nationwide chain!! The layers on these donuts plus the flavors make it worth every single bite and I wish I got more. I ordered the Purist and it's such a good go-to if you're unsure of what to get. Their coffee is pretty decent too but man, do yourself a favor and GET A DONUT HERE!!
It looks great! The donut i ordered was ok and the service was ok.
The donuts here don't seem as fresh as at other locations. But they are still delicious and they have gf and vegan options! The cinnamon roll and coffee ones are my favorite.
Had an oatmeal cookie and a strawberry donut. They were amazing.
The apple fritter, 100 layer doughnut and the salted chocolate chip are our favorites and recommendations. Great service and quality doughnuts
Literally the best donuts I've ever had!
I bought a cinnamon creme cheese donut, that was dense and dry. I wasn't sure it was a donut as the texture was closer to sour dough bread with air pockets like a croissant. There was nothing light or fluffy about this pastry, but the icing was a good addition to my latte to help me finish this creation. Not worth $5+ dollars.
Superb doughnuts with a light, flakey layered texture. I love the vanilla but the peanut butter is delish too. Choose your favorite flavor profile and you won't go wrong.
The best donuts ever! This location seems to be a bit smaller than others but it's worth the stop either way.
They have greatest apple fritter in the world!!!! Why go to Dunkin Donuts when this place is around?????
Very delicious! One of best doughnuts I have tried.
These are very hyped and in my opinion we're only ok. They were good but not quite worth the price I paid for 4 of them. If someone asked me to go back with them I would but I wouldn't make a special trip for them. There are places with better donuts. The service was great though the lady who was working was helpful and knowledgeable and super sweet.
Wow! I need to stay away. We visited from MA to see family. We bought $76 worth of donuts to take upon arrival . 7 were left and they were still perfect after 3 days. We didn't refrigerate just kept them in the box. Had them for breakfast with coffee for a couple days. They were still just as good as the first hour we got them. There were so many to choose from including gluten free. If you go...Brace yourself. So many choices. Not too hard to find at this location. Easy access back to I40. Clean and othe
Other than seeing my own daughter, this place is one of the reasons why I love coming to Nashville. CHEF'S KISS!!
King Kong. Need I say more? Also the wet wipes were a great touch, as I wore as much of that donut as I ate.
Delicious vegan donuts available! If you didn't know, you wouldn't know :) They usually have about 2 trays (3-5 different flavors). They also have GF/paleo options, however they don't have any that are both vegan and GF.
I don't give perfect scores, which is the reason for the 4?. That being said, my only draw back is the pricing but having my own baking business I totally understand. First, the variety was very enjoyable, the shape and texture was very nice. The taste was very very enjoyable, I've already eyeballed what's next when my wife and I return. ????????????
We go here everytime we are in Nashville area. Great atomosphere. Great doughnuts and muffins! Part of an inside food court plus other very interesting boutiques. Inside a repurposed factory.
Sweet tooth more than fulfilled!!! Visiting from NH, I wish I could get you back home! Although my waist wouldn't appreciate it! I wish I had been able to try my daughters Blueberry lavender Donut/amazingness but she ate too fast! She said it was insanely delicious! I had the apple Cider one and...oh myyyy lanta!!! The best thing ever!!! I'm fairly certain there will ever be another donut/pastry whatever that melt in my mouth thing was, will be able to fill my mouth with as much happy as you did!!
It was around noon and their choices were already limited. I was disappointed by the Boston Creme donut. Only about 3 bites had any filling. Typically, we enjoy the flavors we have tried in the past.
This location appears to be more of a pop up location in a small shopping mall. Selection is a bit smaller. Donuts were good (kind of like a croissant consistency but a little denser) but extremely sweet. No intentions of rushing back but would probably try some other flavors in the future if I happened to be walking by. Staff was super friendly . Glad to say we got to check it out of nothing else!
Wow! I'm not from here so this was my first Five Daughters Experience. Deeeelicous! I was most looking forward to the Boston creme but that was the most disappointing out of the 6 donuts we tried. I didn't finish that one. But the others were great!
These are incredible every time. My husband has to go to Nashville every 6 months for a checkup and we never miss stopping. Worth every Penny. Best donuts ever had.
Got the vanilla cream and the blueberry lemon. Very rich and incredible flavors. We shared a few bc we were so dang full from the CHEESE across the way, but they also offer MINI doughnuts! Baked fresh. Also served an array of beverages. Absolutely adorable and delicious.
The gluten free donuts were pretty good but the gluten free cookies are the really good stuff
Ordered a couple donuts and the girl checking out was so helpful! We eat kosher and she went out of her way to text the manager to make sure everything was kosher ingredients. Donuts are about $3.50 each. They also have cookies. Very nice and clean!
I have to give 5 stars for amazing customer service for curbside pickup this morning. Most of your donuts also taste amazing. But please, please bring back sour berry flavors. The only fruitty flavor you offer is strawberry and it's too sweet it doesn't taste like strawberries at all. Your triple berry was the best cronut in the world! We need less chocolate and caramel and more lemon, lime, berries, coconut. Thanks!
First time at Five Daughters with a gift card from a friend who knew we had to try it. There were a few vegan options to choose from and we got apple fritters, the purist, and a maple 100-layer (not vegan). They were all delightful. Flaky, creamy center with appropriate amount of icing? Maple. Apple fritter? chunks, wasn?t heavy, so light and airy. Extra bit of icing flavor on top was legit. The purist was a simple delight. 4 donuts for $15, not bad. Would definitely come back and recommend.
The donuts here are absolutely fantastic and the service was more than great. Be warned though, these donuts are not cheap and you will have to pay a pretty penny to taste these delicious things! IE: I paid $45 for 8 donuts ??, I love then tho!!!
Friendly staff, fast service, best doughnuts ever?always go with the vanilla cream!!!
It was fun to bring our daughters here!
Love this place! This is not your typical doughnut. These are 100 layer doughnuts. At least some are cream-filled. My personal favorite is the King Kong. It is cream-filled with a maple glaze and bacon on top. It is fantastic. Give em a try if your in the area.
Love the donuts that are apparently popular... Giving three stars because this is the second day in a row they're already out of stock of what I want to order. It's 9:30am and they're open until 6pm. Management really needs to rethink their daily inventory.
Pricey but the Salted chocolate donut is worth it!
Five Daughters Bakery has the most beautiful 100 layer donuts!!
This is a must stop any time we're in Nashville. The donuts are heavenly!
Doughnuts are definitely a fancier than normal item. But i really can sat kryspy kreme and have just as satisfing a dessert at 1/3 the price. I did like the buttery flavor inside. Do not get the choc. Covered boston creme unless you like super bitter dark choc. This defeats ghe purpose of eating a dessert item in my opinion. Doughnuts were 13.50 for 3.
The cronuts are delicious, but the gobs of filling and frosting make them waaaay too sugary, at least in my opinion. (Most would probably disagree, but then again, most Americans are unknowingly addicted to sugar...) We got some treats to try on the spot and a few to enjoy later. Tellingly, none of the four of us wanted the treats later. Just too sugary! Moreover, the price point is a bit on the outrageous side. $5.10 for a single cronut *might* be worth it if there were a bit more complexity to the flavor
Super sweet staff but the gluten free donuts were not my favorite. They taste more like muffins and just weren't quite what I was hoping for. Everything else was great!
I had a paleo donut and enjoyed it before hearing that there are also vegan donuts to try next time. Very cool location and quiet in the morning before the other restaurants open in this open air market.
Talk about some epic donuts. Great donut taste. They are layered like a Pillsbury roll, with a layer of rich frosting on top and between a group of the layers. They have a good number of options and all the ones that we tried were top notch.
The absolute best doughnuts ever and the young Lady whom served me was very nice
Stopped by to try the donuts...and the poor excuse for an employee was extremely rude and not helpful. She was too busy with zero customers, sweeping up a pile of nothing for 30 mins. Stay away, there are better donuts and definitely nicer staff anywhere else. Zero out of 5 if I could.
The donuts are fresh and really ,really good but way to pricey for anyone 5. 50 or so per each ? This is crazy , even if I can afford them that's just plain stupid to pay so much for a donuts. So eat at your own budget $$$$ lol ??
