How could a simple scrapple, egg, and cheese sandwich be terrible? As pictured, the scrapple was burnt, the cheese wouldn't even melt, and that 1 egg was just sad. I also ordered grits which were oily and flavorless. I was not a fan of the atmosphere at all mostly due to the strong smell of cigarette smoke. It's as if the smoking is happening in the building. Maybe I had a one off experience based on all of the good reviews but unfortunately I won't be going back.
Small place Big flavor!!! Some of the best French toast in the area! Skip the big chains on Ritchie hwy, I promise you won't be disappointed.
Great food & staff is always friendly, normally only wait about 15mins on a busy day but the food is worth it! 10/10 definitely would recommend!
Who's getting work done on my vehicle nearby So I walked here to grab a bite to eat and I was not disappointed The food was delicious and ready in a timely manner The staff was very polite and friendly and attentive Even the customers are pleasant Really nice experience all around I'll definitely be back
All of the food is terrible and under seasoned. It's completely sad and unnecessary. Don't fall for the good reviews or your money will be wasted
Good breakfast food, the steak sandwich is very good. Everything is reasonably priced and the food is good, personally my only complaint would be about a lack of vegetarian options.
We had such a lovely breakfast here today! The restaurant was clean, inviting, and charming. And our food came out fast, homemade, and DELICIOUS. So good in fact, I took the time to go back and write a review! We can?t wait to go back soon ??
To start off, WOW. 5th Avenue breakfast and lunch is now on my top recommendation list. Upon entrance, the restaurant gives you a cozy, family run restaurant type of feeling ??. When I went in I was promptly greeted by a lovely lady named Rhonda who politely and patiently assisted me since it was my first time. The food (pancake breakfast) was prepared within a matter of minutes and was soooo very good along with a very reasonable price too! I came here on a whim of curiosity and left very very satisfied
I found this place after my sister came home with a sandwich that looked so good I asked her where it was from & immediately came here. The food is so so good and the atmosphere is so comfortable, the art hanging up is by a local artist and the menus are so pretty! I will now be coming here all the time???? Try the home fries!
Warm and friendly welcome and customer service. Good and fresh hot food. Not fancy but good breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend!
I recently visited 5th Ave Breakfast & Lunch for breakfast, and I was impressed! Their home fries were good. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was great! Special shoutout to Rhonda for her outstanding service! She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Rhonda?s warmth really added to the whole experience. Highly recommend stopping by if you?re looking for a great breakfast and awesome customer service.
Great find on a Sunday morning. Cute little breakfast and lunch only, no alcohol. We found due to driving sound looking for a place for breakfast 11:30a.m. I remembered that there used to be a coffee.n donut shop, when we got there and found Fifth St breafasst and Lunch. ?? Theyhave wonderful platters, every choice of meat you need with breakfast, fantastic Grits! Full menue, then lunch options are wide and hits on everyone's favorite. Open at 6a.m. to 2 p.m. , 7 days a week. Find and fall in love with the
Most of the time the food is good. I feel like some days I get skimped on food. Paid 9 dollars for French toast and it was soooo tiny.
Excellent customer service, and most important good size of food and cheap, cooked to the best at the moment one of my best breakfast, that I have been eating all over the country.
Rhonnnnnnda!!! A Great spot for a breakfast sandwich 100% of the time. The food would be a 5 star, but the gravy is so in consistent.
Had a wondeful meal. The chicken salad is damn near perfect! Not overwhelmingly gloppy and chicken seems to be white meat. Onion rings were nice and crispy!
I'm not a big potato person, I'm really not I ordered them on the side by accident since I said I wanted the same as my wife it was not their fault but my own I wanted to say give me a refund but my wife said she'll eat them. When they arrived I said screw it I decided to give them a try, and lord have mercy they were like heaven on earth. Potatoes so buttery smooth they just crumbled on your tongue. Seasoned so well that they basically were the thing I focused on the most during my meal. That's not to say
Wow this breakfast was awesome. Very impressed with the quality, quality, and value. Not to mention, the service (gentleman and woman ringing me up) was super friendlywhichi love and great service is something a lot of places lack these days. Not here! Will be back!
Old-school simple and Spartan neighborhood eatery, not at all fancy, very nice people; only 7 tables, counter service, long menu of breakfast and lunch eggs, sandwiches, good cheesesteak. Closes at 2. On the B&A bike trail.
For starters just wanted an omelet with just green peppers they explained they could only make it with tomato?s and onion with green peppers , aren?t omelets made fresh ? Not pre made . Second the home fries were so raw hardly cooked , physically looked liked a fresh cut potato with a lot of oil
Well, we didn't even get the taste of food. We stayed outside for probably ten minutes until we saw the signs say it's on a two hour wait
Great little place to dine in or take out. Food is always good. Hand down the Best steak and cheese sub.plus also very clean shop with friendly people working there?
Nice little breakfast place Food was ok. My omelette was tasty but my home fries were a mix of uncooked and overcooked at the same time. Great prices and good amount of food provided. The woman behind the counter was super nice to everyone coming in the door! Made the experience! :)
First and last. Everything was below average. The home fries were absolutely embarrassing. It's like something you'd expect if you went to the hospital buffet at midnight.
Yummy food, awesome staff, local family restaurant...what more could you want? ??
Just started going here every morning with my daughter while driving her to school, they are very friendly, have great service and prepare the food quickly even when they're really busy. Highly recommend this place great breakfast sandwiches and I'm sure the other food is just as good. Will definitely continue hitting them up every morning for breakfast.
I have a baked potato fan and whoever that was that said, they were great. Most of never eat potatoes in their life before. A little seasoning, salt, pepper, butter goes a long way. These potatoes were so bad. I couldn't even finish them.
This was my first and last time getting food at 5th Ave Breakfast and Lunch. First, I was charged (.75 ) more than price online for two separate items. They do not have menus and were told prices are online. I told them that prices are inaccurate and not the same when order placed. The home fries portion is small- was told owner only wants them to give ?one scoop? which seems equivalent to 1/4 cup size. I asked for extra onion which was equivalent to one ring of onion. They charge extra for jelly (.25) whi
There is no wonder why this place has a 5 star rating! I was greeted across the room as soon I walked in the door. Any questions were answered quickly and knowledgably. Order was taken as efficiently as I have ever seen in my life. Food was made quickly and tasted great! A rush hit right after I ordered and the line was taken care of so fast! Rhonda is so bubbly and friendly and the kitchen staff is amazing. They all worked together like they were sharing a brain! Definitely will be back!
Been here two or three times in the last couple weeks. Prior to that I hadn't been here in close to 20 years. Food has always been good, especially for the price. Love the fact that you can get breakfast just about anytime they're open. Employees are always nice. While there's always a steady flow of people coming and going I wouldn't say it ever seen overwhelmingly busy. Nice atmosphere.
Not going lie it wasn?t good my steak egg and cheese sandwich was literally just thrown together like who doesn?t break up the steak it was kinda raw in the middle the people are nice tho
If you like a low-key, blue collar breakfast place that's not fancy but simply charges a low price while serving good food, then this place is for you. When you go in and the owner is behind the counter and she knows almost all the customers, that's usually a good sign. She was so friendly, we were greeted almost immediately and we're able to find seating right away. The food came quickly and there was plenty of it. Nothing bad to say here. Just remember - it's not fancy, but then you don't always need fanc
Been in Glen Burnie for about two years. I am upset it took so long for me to stop at this place! Definitely recommend!
Very cute family place and enjoyed the food. Wish they were open for dinner, but they tried that and not enough business. Food was good and and coffee was great!
Food quality it really low. Scapple burned to a crisp hard as a brick, hash browns tasteless and the list goes on. This place place used to be good years ago but as of the past year or so quality has been really bad. The cook should look at the food and think to himself would I eat this?
Stumbled upon this place when I was in the area and had breakfast. Good coffee. Great little neighborhood diner and I will definitely come back. They plan to start serving dinner on November 29, 2023 and if their dinner is as good as their breakfast,it will be great.
This is one of my favorite breakfast date spots for my husband and I. The food is delicious and the service and employees are SO kind and helpful. It's hard to find kind customer service like this anymore. Thanks.
I asked for Home fries and it was even in my not that the OWNER READ BACK TO ME! And he argued with me then hung up on me on why my home fries were missing saying ?take it up with grub hub? right after he told me they didn?t give me home fries since I selected cheese grits. My notes that he CONFIRMED said ?if the home fries do not come with the meal I would like home fries INSTEAD OF GRITS? and again he said the breakfast did come with home fries! Also had an option of chicken and I didn?t get that either.
The woman at the register was great! Such great energy first thing in the morning. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. In all my years in AA County I've never been here. This is a wonderful hidden gem and will be a frequent breakfast spot from now on.
This is a hidden gem. I had driven past this so many times and decided ok I need to check this out. The food was awesome, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was like a neighborhood diner. If you haven't been, stop by.
The lady at the register is super kind. A couple weeks ago we went and I couldn?t come in with the baby and dog while we were walking on the trail. She was super kind to my 5 year old who was as so excited to order and pay. He was 50 cents short and I told her to just take the one sandwich off and she didn?t she gave us the 50 cents to pay. Another time they ran the food out while it was raining and my kids were sleeping in the car. They really go out of their way. They definitely treat people like back in
Val?s hospitality is great! I got the French toast, home fries and turkey bacon. Also, they have the CRISPIEST turkey bacon I?ve ever had. I will be stopping by here again to try more food from their menu.
Service is slow, slow to get your order in. Slow to get your food. Food is great but you gotta waste alot of time here waiting. Call in your order if you can !
Super affordable- huge portions, amazing service. Lunch was great, will be coming back for breakfast.
I will never go to this place again! I?ve only been once and the food was ok at best. Just called and whoever is answering the phone was straight up rude and told me that she couldn?t tell me what I should order based on what items I wanted because she had a line!! That?s not my problem! I bet she would not have the same energy if I was standing there!
Cute little neighborhood spot. Nothing really special, but all the area locals meet to have breakfast and this makes the charm. I had a nice breakfast...good eggs, potatoes and bacon.
Bacon egg and cheese with a 1/3 slice of cheese horrible
Today I went here for the first time. The food was outstanding! The service was great! The prices are quite reasonable and the place is very clean. Employee Tammy was excellent. This is one of the best kept secrets in Glen Burnie!
Ms Ronda was awesome!!! This breakfast and lunch spot Has excellent customer service. They greeted me with a warm smile as soon as I came in. The energy was on point!!!The food and atmosphere is great. My food was ready in Less than 5 min. I will be returning!!
the cashier needs a class on customer service!. my parents are 80 and 85 years old and my mom asked, with a sweater on, if they were able to adjust the a/c a little in the dining area bc it was a little too cold to enjoy her food and that her food would be cold before she'd be able to eat it. the cashier's response was... "I cant turn it down bc I'm not being hot back here for you!. I don't know what to tell you. sorry." After the cashier heard me telling my mom that the customer service was horrible, she
The pancakes with the syrup taste terrible. Buttermilk pancakes with syrup are not supposed to taste fruity. And they have to put a little more home fries in my platter if I am spending over $20. Smh...I will never eat here again.
My favorite breakfast joint to eat at! They cook the food pretty quick too! Friendly family business! Their breakfast bowl is my go to with gravy which is a must try honestly reminds me of the gravy i had in the south! So yummy!
I have gotten a BLT multiple times from this location. I always am giving them another chance. Today no more. I ask for the toast to be LITE toast, I got very dark toast, AGAIN Can't eat all the bacon because it is so hard. Called asked about if I could the bacon cooked to order, was told no, it takes to long. Really folks, then dont cook ALL the bacon so darn HARD, Not crispy HARD!!!
Love this place! First time I came and left my brand new phone, the next day I called and they had it sitting there waiting for me. But it's not just that, there food is amazing. I eat here every weekend and have never been disappointed!
Phenomenal food. Even better customer service. Rhonda is super smiley with a sweet, friendly disposition. We'll definitely be back.
Bro- this place is AWESOME! I brought my family here this morning to try for our first time, and let me tell you- EAT HERE. PERIOD. Excellent food, great atmosphere, and a wonderful hostess/waitress... They really got it together here. We will return.
Breakfast was fast and affordable! Would give it 5 stars, but the home fries could have been a little more brown. Bacon was cooked to perfection and pancakes were great. Will be back again!
Love their food! Been going here for a long time. They got that home cooked taste without having to make it yourself. And it?s affordable.
Home cooking, people are friendly. Like spring in your grandma s kitchen. Not full of fancy to do. The price is good and the food is good. The biscuits are very good, have not had any this good in quite a while. I will be coming back.
They are not "allowed" to cook eggs the way you want. you have to order them hard. Apparently "someone ruined it for everyone" but no one could tell me why. No matter the reason- why would you go to a breakfast place that can't cook eggs the way you want? Not to mention the place reeks like cigarettes. Can't imagine where all the good reviews come from, but you're better off making breakfast at home, or driving to the grill at quarterfield station. it's only 5 minutes away and well worth the wait.
Been coming here with my husband for years. There's a cozy feel that you don't get from big breakfast chains and the food is always great. Huge menu to select from. They remember our usual orders by now and are always very sweet.
Wow.. are you serious. Went here to get carryout breakfast again. Worst experience I have ever had. I just want to throw up thinking about it. I was eating my sandwich and noticed something didnt taste right. Opened up my sandwich to find rat droppings. Are you forreal. I have contacted the health department so they can inspect the food that we have been eating. This is food we are talking about . Food must be tooking very serious. This was uncalled for. How you not know your serving rat droppings.. people
Good food & good people here.
Wow. I googled ?breakfast near me? and this was the first hit. 3 minute drive from CVS and easily saw this joint on the corner. Inconspicuously placed, small parking lot, 7 inside tables, park right outside, and Rhonda- an incredibly warm hostess who put a smile on my face. Reasonable prices for fast, tasty, home style breakfast foods.
Great service. Amazing food. Wonderful people Can get busy around lunch time. You can call in your order for pick up. They have a wide variety of dishes. Me and my wife used to get our "cheat breakfast" from IHOP but got tired of the terrible service and overpriced food. Ever since we tried 5th Avenue we haven't even thought of going back to IHOP. It's cheaper, tastes better, and they offer better service.
Great food wonderful service! Looking forward to my next visit.
Awful, Awful, Food, the service was great friendly and polite staff. Maybe just a bad day for the cook. Ordered two sandwiches. My husband's Egg & cheese sandwich, the toast was black the cheese was not melted just placed on the burned toast, my sandwich had to be the worst egg & cheese, like the cook stepped on it, then placed it on a plate. My first & last time.
The food is always great here, breakfast and lunch! The service is great and food comes out quickly
I was disappointed in the food. I ordered a bacon sandwich. It only had 2 slices of very thin bacon on it, wasn't even enough to cover the bread. My husband ordered a western omelette and said it was very bland, had plenty of peppers and onions and ham but you couldn't really distinguish the flavors. I will say that the place was very clean. I will give the place another try for lunch, but not holding any hope that it will be any different.
Walked in and it smelled like cigarette smoke. Got home food was flavorless. My sandwich was all bread and tomato. I got home had to add meat just to be edible.
Family-friendly, and made to order. These are hard working family people, not a corporation. The food is homemade and the atmosphere a second home.
I had no idea that this place existed. I actually found them through door dash. I've been wanting cream chipped beef but have no been able to leave my home due to health restrictions. I ordered food myfor family and I through door dash from this establishment and I am blown away. Everything tastes amazing, bacon is nice and thick (and plentyful!) Pancakes are fluffy and just the right amount of sweet. Homefriends are delicious, eggs prepared just right (over medium). I am beyond impressed and this little p
Just ok. Ordered starter and big breakfast platters as well as egg, sausage, and cheese sandwich. The eggs were not scrambled as I requested, the French toast lacked flavor, and the breakfast sandwich was not filling. I'm from NJ and used to a breakfast sandwich that I can get only half way through. The hash browns were good and bacon cooked well.
I had a French toast platter and boy was it great. They were not stingy with the eggs and bacon and the french toast was just how I loked it. I almost didnt want to write a review because I didnt want everyone to take over my breakfast spot.
I'm upset because I ride the trail and never stopped in. Place and people are amazing. I really wanted a breakfast burrito and no one really has any...but they do. And it was so good...definitely earned a new customer.
Great local place for a quick meal. I have only had breakfast here, but I have heard that lunch and dinner is good here too. Friendly staff. Prices are reasonable and the place is clean. Clean bathrooms are always a good sign.
A really lovely local eatery with great, quick service and reasonable prices. Food is made fresh to order and of good quality and quantity. I great hidden spot for a good breakfast instead of a national chain or fast food.
Definitely a place that I will be going back to. It's not fancy inside but it is comfortable to sit down for a few minutes and eat your sandwich. I went for breakfast and got the scrapple egg and cheese sandwich, some home fries, an apple fritter, and a coffee. The egg and cheese we're in very good proportion. The bread was just toasted white bread and the scrapple was a little thin for my taste. My wife got the same sandwich with sausage, and the sausage patty was very good. The apple fritter was the hig
Only received half of what was ordered on first ever (and now last) time at this location. As for the food, went for the ultimate omelette platter; the eggs were overcooked and rubbery and the hash browns were under-cooked, apparently only have been left on the grill for a short while on one of the sides. While the omelette was tasty, it was either not seasoned at all, or so little was used that it was unnoticeable. Definitely would not recommend.
I don?t care where you are from this is the by far the best place for breakfast! Google sent my family and I here and it was way better than advertised. Mrs. Rhonda has the best customer service! Will definitely be returning.
Hands down the best breakfast joint ever! Quick and amazing service, with the real smiles! Super clean! We will be back frequently!
Good food for good prices. It nails the "grandma's cooking" feeling. It comes out quick, and the people who work there are very helpful. It's a cozy place.
What a gem of a breakfast place. This was our first visit and I guarantee it will not be our last. Our party of three each got something different and we ended up fighting over each other's breakfast. Highly recommend.
Had the best croissant I've ever had from here yesterday, sandwich wasn't bad either. Went again today but they were closing even though it was only 1:45 but besides that I will definitely be returning.
"It's like the breakfasts mom used to make you at home" is the best way to describe the 5th Avenue Breakfast & Lunch experience located at the corner of 5th avenue and Greenway Road in Glen Burnie. Yes, you order and pay at the counter, but from then on it's like turning back the clock to a time when the meal placed in front of you was prepared by a loved one... someone who cared enough to give you the very best. If you head out looking for a new place to sit down to something different, give 5th Avenue a t
Just ate breakfast here for the first time and will make this our new go-to breakfast spot. Excellent sandwiches and home fries coupled with fabulous, friendly service! A real winner!
It was an inviting and friendly. I had grits with cheddar cheese, rye toast, an order of bacon and a sunny side up egg with a cranberry juice. The server was very pleasant.
I love their food. Rhonda is AWESOME! Highly recommended. Call ahead! Never a long wait time. Can't go wrong.
