Fifth Avenue Breakfast and Lunch Restaurant

How could a simple scrapple, egg, and cheese sandwich be terrible? As pictured, the scrapple was burnt, the cheese wouldn't even melt, and that 1 egg was just sad. I also ordered grits which were oily and flavorless. I was not a fan of the atmosphere at all mostly due to the strong smell of cigarette smoke. It's as if the smoking is happening in the building. Maybe I had a one off experience based on all of the good reviews but unfortunately I won't be going back.

Small place Big flavor!!! Some of the best French toast in the area! Skip the big chains on Ritchie hwy, I promise you won't be disappointed.

To start off, WOW. 5th Avenue breakfast and lunch is now on my top recommendation list. Upon entrance, the restaurant gives you a cozy, family run restaurant type of feeling ??. When I went in I was promptly greeted by a lovely lady named Rhonda who politely and patiently assisted me since it was my first time. The food (pancake breakfast) was prepared within a matter of minutes and was soooo very good along with a very reasonable price too! I came here on a whim of curiosity and left very very satisfied

I found this place after my sister came home with a sandwich that looked so good I asked her where it was from & immediately came here. The food is so so good and the atmosphere is so comfortable, the art hanging up is by a local artist and the menus are so pretty! I will now be coming here all the time???? Try the home fries!

Just started going here every morning with my daughter while driving her to school, they are very friendly, have great service and prepare the food quickly even when they're really busy. I have a baked potato fan and whoever that was that said, they were great. Most of never eat potatoes in their life before. A little seasoning, salt, pepper, butter goes a long way. These potatoes were so bad. I couldn't even finish them.

There is no wonder why this place has a 5 star rating! I was greeted across the room as soon I walked in the door. Any questions were answered quickly and knowledgably. Order was taken as efficiently as I have ever seen in my life. Food was made quickly and tasted great! A rush hit right after I ordered and the line was taken care of so fast! Rhonda is so bubbly and friendly and the kitchen staff is amazing. They all worked together like they were sharing a brain! Definitely will be back!

Been here two or three times in the last couple weeks. Prior to that I hadn't been here in close to 20 years. Food has always been good, especially for the price. Love the fact that you can get breakfast just about anytime they're open. Employees are always nice. If you like a low-key, blue collar breakfast place that's not fancy but simply charges a low price while serving good food, then this place is for you. Food quality it really low. Scapple burned to a crisp hard as a brick, hash browns tasteless and the list goes on. This place place used to be good years ago but as of the past year or so quality has been really bad. The cook should look at the food and think to himself would I eat this?

Stumbled upon this place when I was in the area and had breakfast. Good coffee. Great little neighborhood diner and I will definitely come back. They plan to start serving dinner on November 29, 2023 and if their dinner is as good as their breakfast,it will be great.

I asked for Home fries and it was even in my not that the OWNER READ BACK TO ME! And he argued with me then hung up on me on why my home fries were missing saying ?take it up with grub hub? right after he told me they didn?t give me home fries since I selected cheese grits. My notes that he CONFIRMED said ?if the home fries do not come with the meal I would like home fries INSTEAD OF GRITS? and again he said the breakfast did come with home fries! I have gotten a BLT multiple times from this location. I always am giving them another chance. Today no more. I ask for the toast to be LITE toast, I got very dark toast, AGAIN Can't eat all the bacon because it is so hard. Called asked about if I could the bacon cooked to order, was told no, it takes to long. Really folks, then dont cook ALL the bacon so darn HARD, Not crispy HARD!!!

Been coming here with my husband for years. There's a cozy feel that you don't get from big breakfast chains and the food is always great. Huge menu to select from. They remember our usual orders by now and are always very sweet.

Wow. I googled ?breakfast near me? and this was the first hit. 3 minute drive from CVS and easily saw this joint on the corner. Inconspicuously placed, small parking lot, 7 inside tables, park right outside, and Rhonda- an incredibly warm hostess who put a smile on my face. Reasonable prices for fast, tasty, home style breakfast foods.

Me and my wife used to get our "cheat breakfast" from IHOP but got tired of the terrible service and overpriced food. Ever since we tried 5th Avenue we haven't even thought of going back to IHOP. It's cheaper, tastes better, and they offer better service.

My husband's Egg & cheese sandwich, the toast was black the cheese was not melted just placed on the burned toast, my sandwich had to be the worst egg & cheese, like the cook stepped on it, then placed it on a plate. I was disappointed in the food. I ordered a bacon sandwich. It only had 2 slices of very thin bacon on it, wasn't even enough to cover the bread. My husband ordered a western omelette and said it was very bland, had plenty of peppers and onions and ham but you couldn't really distinguish the flavors. I will say that the place was very clean. I will give the place another try for lunch, but not holding any hope that it will be any different.

The eggs were not scrambled as I requested, the French toast lacked flavor, and the breakfast sandwich was not filling. I'm from NJ and used to a breakfast sandwich that I can get only half way through. The hash browns were good and bacon cooked well.

Only received half of what was ordered on first ever (and now last) time at this location. As for the food, went for the ultimate omelette platter; the eggs were overcooked and rubbery and the hash browns were under-cooked, apparently only have been left on the grill for a short while on one of the sides. While the omelette was tasty, it was either not seasoned at all, or so little was used that it was unnoticeable. Definitely would not recommend.
