My first time there and I was very pleased. I got an apple fritter for me and mixed dozen of donuts for my office crew and they didn't last long when I returned! The gentleman behind the counter was very nice.
This has to be the worst donut shop I have gone to. I sent my husband in to grab donuts for me and the kids for him to bring a bag with donuts as thin as paper and the size of a mini donut. I was shocked when I seen them. I don?t recommend anyone to come here, the donut shop in bastrop is much better with actual ?donuts?!!!!
The Kalachi and the Tacos were very dried. Did not enjoy my food!! Next time I'm just going to the donut shop in Smithville, it's worth the drive.
Having a rough morning and couldn?t make myself cook breakfast. I load up the kids and go down to our local donut shop that I and the kids love. Pick out 20 dollars worth of food and drinks for my card not to work at the register, it had been frozen for whatever reason. The nice ladies working here saw me and came to my rescue. I?m forever grateful for them. I?m blessed to live in a town like Elgin. Thank you from my family. We plan on returning the favor.
Elgin Donuts was just what I was needing this morning! The donuts are fresh and their flakey croissant kolaches were so good! I probably should have ordered more! Next time I?ll set the ham, cheese, and jalape?o croissant with a few more donuts. I?m a fan of their cake donuts. Yum

Place was clean. Donuts are very thin. Ordered a pan Sausage egg and cheese kolache and it was middle the egg. Very small. We were just passing by and will not ever stop here again.
Recently moved to Elgin and wanted to try out the donut shop here. And Honestly not to me and my family. Paid way too much for small donuts (Dry) more like day old ( not fresh ) and I saw they had fruit kolaches ( DRY ). Do not recommend go spend you $$ somewhere else.
I was notified that my apple fritter would be ready in a moment. Nice selection of donuts, tacos and kolaches that offer a good value for the price. Big plus for accepting Apple Pay. Frittters were delivered at perfect temperature to eat without any risk of accidental burn damage.
These guys rock in the early mornings! Fresh donuts and egg tacos are always fresh and warm.
More ideal for carryout, dining in is an option, but seating is limited. There are no high chairs or booster seats. Very small and to the point. Great selection of donuts and other breakfast items. Food is always hot and fresh. Prices are amazing for the portion sizes. Always very clean building. Staff could be more friendly and not rush you so much. Overall, wonderful place to pick up breakfast.
Customer service was on point. However the food was low quality. We ordered a few different items which included frosted donuts, bacon egg and cheese croissant, kolaches, and breakfast burritos. All of it was super bland and boring.
The first time I came in there was a lady working the counter that was very pushy and rude. I felt I wouldn't return because she was just rude for no reason, maybe it was an off day because today the entire staff was there and was super friendly and quick moving. As a small business I'm sure they are doing a lot to keep in business so I am glad I returned and had a wonderful experience. Great donuts and a friendly place!!
Best donuts in town & great variety too! You get delicious pick from donuts to breakfast sandwiches, kolaches, & breakfast tacos. The breakfast sandwiches are our faves, we always end up walking out with them along with some donuts! Definitely need to check them out! They're super friendly & have social distance signs on their door & inside!
I was jonesin' donuts. So, I made a run to Elgin Donuts at 0700. I was disappointed the first time I went there. But I'm glad I went back. Kolaches were good. And the fritters and eclares were excellent. I'll be back
My ex-girlfriend recommended this place, as I had asked her what bakeries or donut places were open on Sunday mornings in Elgin since I recently moved here. And elgin donut was within one of the top four places that she recommended. The place is pretty straightforward, it's convenient to get to, easy to get in get out even with the physical distancing going on, I got what I wanted and my son got what he wanted. Everything was just right. Do I recommend this place? hell yes I do! :)

Update: Tried the donuts. They are the best in town... That said. Get donuts in another town. Minimum purchase of $5 on card. Maybe just maybe they're good enough to overlook that.. but I wouldn't know it was my first time there. It's a horrible customer experience to be told buy more pay cash. I'm not going to buy a dozen donuts if I don't know if I like them.
Never again. I just moved to Elgin and came in to try. The donuts are small and dry. Not to mention the gnats flying in the case so I didn't try anything else. I'd rather drive far out of the way for a better quality
We aren't from Elgin, but we stopped while driving through. The donuts and kolaches were literally have the size of normal donut shops. The tacos were small as well and came with gas station hot sauce packets ??. Do yourself a favor and skip this joint.
I love Elgin Donuts. They folks that run this place are so nice and are very efficient during the morning rush hours. Seating inside is limited but most folks take their orders to go anyway. I only every get the donuts and kolaches and have yet to be disappointed. Very tasty and fresh.

Friendly staff is the only reason for 2 stars, but you're better off going down the road to QT. The tacos are tiny and come with the same sauce you get at the gas station. The donuts and "fruit bars" are mediocre at best.

Nice selction, you see bakery in the back, seems like fresh made. Taste was great and delicious. I love their apple fritter, tasty, juice, crunchy, should have gotten more!
This place is great but you can?t go early unless you want to wait in line. They have to figure out how to not have a line out the door, it?s just good business to not make your customers wait 35-40 minutes for donuts. This place needs to do more to earn my business, love it but can?t wait in line 30 minutes every day. Please do something to fix your business, we are the only game in town isn?t an excuse for long lines
Always good breakfast treats! My favorite combo is an apple fritter and croissant sandwich with a peace tea. Never have a bad visit and the staff is always friendly!

Usually fast, always fresh. Good variety of donut types and their other baked breakfast foods like pigs in a blanket, sausages, sandwiches, and what they refer to as kolaches. Very decent selection of bottled drinks including milks, juices, teas, and sports drinks. Service is hit or miss though.
Sandwiches are actually pretty good, they're already made, they will just heat them up. If they were freshly made it would be 5 ?? definitely. Doughnuts are pretty good too and coffee.
Great yummy donuts and other yummy stuff but they run out of donuts often, guess that's because everyone likes to get there donuts there!! Lol
Definitely the most over priced donuts i have ever bought in my life, and the quality is?.Mehhh?yeah, id rather drive to QT or just go somewhere else.

My daughter and I go every Sunday and they are so kind. They bring us our food so I can hold onto my little girl while we walk to our table. We LOVE it.
I really dislike this place. They are overpriced but they do it because they are the ONLY place in town but I won?t return ever again. On top of being overpriced. they overcharge you adding stuff in their heads for what you buy and when you question them, they immediately get defensive. They barely understand English which doesn?t help the situation. Very aggravating?. I?ll take business elsewhere it?s not like they?ll miss it anyways?.

My kids love their donut holes and the sausage kolaches are pretty good. I haven't tried very many items from their menu yet.
Always great pastries. Love the lemon filled doughnuts and sausage kolaches. Oh, don't forget the plain glazed doughnuts. Everything I have bought there is delicious.

I will never return to get doughnuts from This place again. I was overcharged. The only white woman that works there looked like she was pressured? in to over charge people! The Asian woman was over her shoulder watching what she we as ringing up! This place is a rip off!
