This place stands the test of time. Many generations have put their love into the Donuts they present. Beautiful little works of art! The chocolate frosting is so sweet and rich. This little gem is located next to rita's steakhouse and they have a drive through, which is a first for me. Due to the fact it's not a chain restaurant, I love that option. I've been going to Ed n Barbs since moving here as a child . They are by far the best place to get your doughnuts. No Krispy Kreme or dunkin can compare to these . They have kept the same recipe and they are ALWAYS fresh. We are always happy after getting our doughnuts and now they've added more breakfast items to the menu . You really can't beat this place. The staff are friendly and we love dropping by to see them.

Nice little local dive. A very interesting conversion from a gas station or auto shop into a donut shop. The donuts were fresh and the value was good. There is a kids play corner with books and toys also.

Best Doughnuts ever! You have to get there first thing in the morning! They sell out EVERY day!! If you are making a trip just for these incredible doughnuts, CALL FIRST!! Idk who has been doing the cream in the Bavarian cream donuts, but they've been quite stingy with it lately, barely even noticeable! Whereas the white cream donuts have been overstuffed. That kind of inconsistencies is almost comical, except I paid good money for it and expect them to all be filled with a reasonable amount, not one overflowing while others are practically empty. Also, the chocolate icing has been having a chemical-like flavor, similar to fingernail polish remover.

Wow what great donuts. Beats Dunkin' donuts every time. Unique flavors you won't find anywhere. Went again today. Got 2 Boston cream. Boy was I disappointed with very little cream inside, the chocolate was just enough to say it had some on it. The donuts had a strange taste. Must be old oil. I'm afraid to go back again. What a different product than a year ago. Something had to change.

Well we have lost the best place to get fresh donuts. We have been getting donuts there for years. I would drop off someone at work and wait in the parking lot for them to open. The doughnuts are good, absolute heaven if you can catch them while they're still warm, but I hate the hours and the outdated facility. Everything just kind of looks... unclean (absolutely not saying it IS, but that's how it makes you feel). The staff is hit or miss if you get someone kind of someone bitter. Still worth it to go.

Ed & Barb are a couple. I believe they open up around 4 a.m and most of their donuts are done baking by 5. They have so much variety. It's 4:48am now. Wow, we were traveling through the area and saw this post and was very excited to stop and have an awesome donut. Well, pictures don't always show the REAL thing. We walked in and the wonderful donuts posted on here were not even available, matter of fact none of the donuts in the case even looked like what is posted. Then the place smelled like old oil. Needless to say, we turned around and walked out. Maybe this place is an old has been.

Unique, tasty, flavorful, doughnuts with sweet cream filling in a variety of flavors. Great prices for a dozen doughnuts, go see for yourself. Only reason for the 4 stars was you need to eat them quickly, they don't stay fresh long. Other than that, great little doughnut shop!

We stopped because of the great reviews and they're delicious!! Unlike other donuts they are light and fluffy, not overly sweet, and not heavy like others. Which could make them very dangerous, lol. You might not be able to stop yourself!

These Donuts are so Delicious, the Regular Donuts are very small so I order the Apple Fritters, Cinnamon Rolls or the Cinnamon Twists. Got a "seasonal" key lime and a cinnamon fritter. Key lime was good. Fritter was a little heavy, but would stop by again if we were around when they are open!

Amazing dougnuts very worth the stop. But be warned it pretty popular, so if they sell out, they are sold out. If you want specifics probably best to stop it closer to opening time.

I don't know how the cops can survive here in Lake City Florida There is only one Doughnut shop ,and the place is never open! Rumor has it that the alleged product is very good, This author however has yet to taste these near mythical delights.The closest I have came are the offerings from the Winn Dixie Bakery located behind Ed and Barbs rumored Cream Doughnut Shop. The Cops here in town are reduced to frequenting the S&S convenience stores where they allowed 1 free Crispy Cream doughnut and 1 cup of coffe
