Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103
One of the best spots in Ann Arbor for coffee. Large indoor& outdoor spaces for meetings or to get work done. Coffee is top notch, with the roaster on-sight. Breakfast / brunch options round out a great menu. They also have a drive-thru for times when you?re on the go.
I study/work here every week for a few months now, love their rotating menu (coffee)! The food used to be good, especially their breakfast sammie! It has turkey patty, caramelized onion jam and aioli (maybe?) in focaccia. But in Nov they changed the menu and all the new things and old stuff are different. The steaks (slices?) are dry and flavorless, the bagel (replacement of sammie) is hard and dry. I give the stars because I have good memories at Dozer. But plz plz plz bring the breakfast sammie back ????
Pretty nice little coffee shop with a limited selection of breakfast items! The coffee selection is great, especially for people who don?t like their drinks too sweet. Many of the food items are a bit too oily and heavy for my taste though, I do wish there was some lighter fare on the menu. The shop?s interior is also pretty barebones and a bit sterile, but maybe that?s just the aesthetic they?re going for.
We love Dozer! We?ve been going here for two years now, and it?s one of our favorite spots due to the great coffee and vibes! The baristas are super friendly, and the monthly specials are always fun. Their food is slept on too - the burritos and tots are so good! Parking is easy, and it?s lovely to sit outside on a nice day.
I decided to check this place out because it was close to my hotel and I love coffee. The food and latte that I ordered were both good and the folks behind the counter were friendly and offered some good recommendations.
The photo I took of the cranberry pecan partfait doesn't do it justice. It was so delicious! Great space for hosting group events. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back to explore their menu more.
Industrial coffee spot with really great coffee! Pros: *They don?t burn the oat milk! *The Baristas are nice and funny. *Lots of seating. Cons: I would give it 5 stars but? *It?s too quiet to catch up with a friend in the morning. I go to York to meet friends so we can talk without everyone overhearing everything. They should make the front room laptop free. *They have straws now!! Why? It?s not like they are selling smoothies. We don?t need to destroy the planet to drink an iced latte.
The atmosphere at Dozer is unmatched. We love sitting on the patio enjoying lattes and breakfast on quiet summer mornings. We try to come here as much as possible when visiting Ann Arbor. The coffee is always wonderful and expertly made. The burritos, bowls, and BART tots are delicious ? I?m not sure why everyone doesn?t put crispy tots in their breakfast burritos. Have always experienced great service here as well. Can?t recommend Dozer enough!
coffee was good, atmosphere was great, the oatmeal cream pie was incredible. I recommend dining in, the mugs were really nice. cozy place to sit while your car is being worked on for 5 hours
So, this is the best european standards breakfast I?ve had in A2. Normal sized portions, high quality healthy ingredients, reasonable prices, modern vibes. But more importantly, the taste! The food is outrageously good. And the pour over coffee is an actual specialty kind, not just the ?wana-seem-specialty-but-still-your-regular-cheap-kind? that they offer in pretty much any expensive trendy coffee shop in town.
Brunch is great and quick. Great options and in house made syrups. Good place to work on a work week. Weekends is pretty busy. Might take a little longer for drinks to be made, but friendly, patient, and welcoming staff.
Can I move in?! I came here as a vendor for a pop up and instantly fell in love. I had a cafe miel and matcha which were perfect. I tried the bacon tots and they were crispy how I like them with a good balance of toppings. Great for kids - family?s came in and hung out on the brewery side. A lot of seating and a nice amount of space between tables. The coffee side was poppin with people working and meeting up to hang out. Servers were on top of it. Constantly working and being polite to guests. I ended
Decent Coffee. Went through drive through. Unfortunately, coffee with cream is a complicated order. Had to return 5 minutes later to go get my own cream from indoor. Would avoid drive through if you ask for something complex.
I love this place. The coffee here is top notch. The baristas and kitchen staff are all sweethearts and the people who hang out here have a happy, positive vibe. I am obsessed with the basic cheddar breakfast burrito. I add avacado. When they bring it out I feel like immediately devouring it and not caring if it gets all over my face. Like some sort of predator that just caught it?s prey. I don?t do that though. I instead, sit and politely enjoy my amazing coffee and burrito and feel grateful for how good l
In the area for work, and I needed a quick pick me up. Someone recommended that I came here and I can see why! I got a hot caramel latte, a breakfast bagel( not sure what it was called, and a lavender lemon scone. All of which were so good! I will be back for sure. *Also, they do have a drive thru, the entrance is around the corner by the sign, that says drive thru available, they have green cones as well. Theres only a QR code to view the menu, so try to look it up prior.
I had an unexpectedly wonderful experience at Dozer Coffee today! I initially popped in to grab a quick coffee to-go, but to my delight, I discovered they were hosting live music by Vialon. The atmosphere instantly captivated me, and despite being in a rush, I couldn't resist staying to savor my coffee while enjoying the fantastic live performance. The blend of a cozy ambiance, great coffee, and live music created a truly memorable moment. Kudos to Dozer Coffee for offering such a delightful surprise. It'
Great coffee escape on a leisure day. The vibe and the people are always great. Donuts are amazing, however run out fast. Latte art as always on point, ganache mocha is my favorite. They have a quick bite sandwiches which are decent. I have been visiting for almost 5-6 months and one thing that?s going down gradually is the hygiene - washrooms mainly. Would expect better hygiene with an upscale cafe.
Honestly bad. Everything was overpriced. They forgot my food. In fact, it was so overpriced for the two coffees, I figured they had included my food. The vibes were fine I guess, but I know what I ordered (we came for the food in the first place) and we were the ones blamed. Won?t be back, and probably don?t make my mistake. Uptown Coney Island right down the street has better coffee anyway.
Walked here today from an auto shop, for coffee / snack, while waiting for repairs. Got a regular drip coffee and cinnamon roll. Came to $9.01 plus tip. Coffee was okay. I've had better. The cinnamon roll was okay, a little too sweet. I am a scratch baker, so I make these often. Clean and welcoming inside. Very light filled seating area which was pleasant on this fall day. Staff was punctual. I would come back. Pricing is a bit higher than other places like this that I frequent.
Amazing coffee truly my favorite! Love the drive thru and sprinkle donuts. Staff is always so nice too.
I had the espresso, and it was really excellent. The outdoor seating area looked great, but it was raining so didn't hang out.
This is the best coffee in Ann Arbor. The first time we went three and a half years ago, the location seemed odd, but the coffee was good. We now live elsewhere, but we come back to Dozer when we?re back in town. Dozer + Homes have a good thing going on and it?s exciting to see what appears to be sustainable growth with no reduction in quality or service. We?ll keep coming back. Thanks Dozer team.
Nice recent discovery, have to hunt for it, off of Jackson Avenue west side of Ann Arbor. Very pleasant space. Well executed expresso, but notmy preferred style of coffee roast. It's what some might call "wine like," but a bit too sour for me.
Come here quite often to work or hang out with friends. The vibe is perfect! The service is fabulous and the coffee is incredible ?? They even hosted a Bingo night last night and it was such fun - with delicious affogatos included! Honestly, this spot has become my favorite hangout in Ann Arbor!
Always an amazing time at dozer. Among the best single origin coffee and baristas in Michigan. The food has no right to be as good as it is for a cafe, but the options are unique and consistently so tasty. Good trucks come by a lot and there is trivia and other events for the community too. We come back here despite high prices because of the location, service, and food/drinks.
One of my favorite coffee shops in Ann Arbor! Great coffee and I love the natural light. I got the steak frites breakfast bowl and would recommend adding tater tots! So delicious and filling.
Gotta give these folks a shout out! Wonderful service, friendly staff, yummy chai and coffee. The atmosphere is super cool. Give these your business!
An awesome place to just chill and read! The coffee is great, and the staff is even better; they make it feel like a second home when I visit. The coffee I got was a little too sweet, but one of the staff members gave me some water to combat the sweetness, which was very helpful. I kind of wish they had sugar-free options, but hopefully, that will be a future endeavor! I'm not knocking any stars because of that, as this is my new favorite coffee shop, and they deserve all the praise!
Came here because it looked like a cute place to grab a coffee while in the area. Coffee was okay and the staff was rude. Staff wouldn?t look at me when I was trying to ask a question and made me feel like I was an inconvenience because their half and half was empty. Terrible vibe. Wouldn?t recommend.
Nice place to hang out and read or work. The donut quality is average might as well be store bought. Have to try the rest of the food.
FRESH BURRITOS ON THE WEEKEND! The team at Dozer has just changed up their menu and is offering fresh made burritos and various toast options Friday - Sunday. Their prepared in advanced burritos are really solid, but these made to order burritos ramp it up even more. The coffee is always good and the team is always friendly. Come hang with these guys! Cheers, Nick
New place opened coffee shop in AA. It is attached to the Homes brewing. Fresh coffee beans and good place to eat and go. Looks good to gathering as well. Staffs were also kind and friendly. Next time, we will try to get some breakfast.
Love the coffee and the Lox here!!! Great spacious cafe with plenty of space to work or study!
Their nitro is the best in Ann Arbor, they have tremendous events thru the month, and I love that they have a punch card for drinks- it keeps me wanting to come back even more!
Unique and delicious espresso options, great coffee shop addition to Ann Arbor. The vibe is super cool with Homes Collab.
Good place to grab coffee (or a beverage) and a bite to eat. Plenty of seating. Good work space.
Food + drinks: 4 Staff: 4 Environment: 5 Pretty spacious cafe close to Ann Arbor that can be a nice study spot when not everyone is there haha! I went on a busy weekend so staff are understandably busy and not able to be as friendly as usual. The specialty donuts are very average (we got a cherry and a peach one, can?t remember the names) but the cappuccino was delicious.
Nice place! The space is very accommodating for bigger groups. I attend a Silent Book Club event there and I enjoyed! The hot chocolate was good too!! ????
$5 latte, and this is what you get? The coffee is decent, but the barista, well, check out the photo. No micro foam and a sad try for latte art. I was excited entering the shop when I saw the latte art throwdown sign. I suppose the barista I had wasn't entering that contest. And YES, I did pickup my order within a minute of my name being called. I've been to many coffee shops all over the world, and the owner's response to getting a proper latte with micro foam is to get a different drink. Your coffee is d
I placed an online order for their steak frites, added extra steak and paid $15 for a bowl of onions with 2 thin slices of roast beef and some tater tots..... Not sure which part of this is steak or frites.
Great coffee, cool staff, but the vegan food options are absolutely horrible.
This place is a GEM! Whether you?re there to work, visit with friends, or just try something new- this place offers it all! The outdoor space is inviting and modern, family and dog friend, with some sort of food collaboration throughout the week. The coffee/pastries at Dozer are both outstanding, a bit pricey but worth it! THEN, if you stay long enough, HOMES brewery (attached to Dozer) offers amazing beer, frozen cocktails and ambiance too. This spot is a new favorite for me and my friends/family.
Ceremonial grade unsweetened matcha that is the correct color green and tastes nutty ?? iykyk. Thanks service team for answering my questions ??
A cute little coffee roaster. I love getting coffee in, and buying beans for home. Their food is also good, but I don't have it very often.
The drink was alright but the staff?s attitude towards me ruined my experience. I asked for a straw as other customers had straws in their to go beverages. The staff very rudely told me ?nowhere? and another told me we should be saving the turtles.
Fun atmosphere. Went here with my dad and he had the queen bee latte and I had the lavender latte. Both very good! A bit pricey, but was good and will be back for more.
This is an amazing coffee shop. I go here to work outside regularly and enjoy the coffee. The outdoor seating is awesome and shade is available. I just recently stayed long enough to get some food and was blown away. Great taste and options. Highly recommend!
I stopped here on 10/7 because my favorite coffee shop was closed. The problem is, I might have a new favorite coffee spot. Dozer is top notch my honey bee latte was fantastic, and so was the steak frites bowl. Not only was the food great, the atmosphere here is a whole vibe! If you?re considering a stop at dozer just do it, you will not be disappointed!
the drive thru doesn't have a menu posted and unfortunately, they don't carry almond milk - just a note for others with dietary needs, they only have oat for alt milk.
Friendly service and very good coffee! Plus very dog friendly
Favorite coffee place in Ann Arbor! Latte is simply great, atmosphere is hip but cozy and some of the pastries are out of this world (if you see financier available - go get it, you won't regret!!)
Lots of seating, a great spot to meet up with friends or study. The food was good too, Quentin was great with the coffee!
While the coffee and food is great, its the people and atmosphere that sets Dozer apart to me. The staff is so friendly and personable, they're always up for pleasant chitchat while they work if its not too busy. Great energy and a great vibe, would absolutely recommend.
10/10 music selection for the elder emo demographic. The coffee is excellent and we are taking some hard smoothies home to try. Thanks Dozer!
Tried three different donuts and they were all so delicious as seen from the photo. The dirty chai latte was a good balance of espresso and Chai flavor.
I don't drink coffee but I do drink tea. I got a Chai latte the other day and while the service was very kind (albeit very slow), the latte was literally the worst one I've ever had. It tasted like lukewarm water with cardamom in it, which is impressive considering it was apparently made with whole milk. Maybe their coffee is good but I'm not inclined to try more of their tea.
This place is too big for its own britches. Their prices are WAY too high. I paid nearly $7.00 for a small latte. The wait was excruciating..I had to wait 20 minutes for a small to- go ?!? The staff doesn't communicate with the customer, they ignore you. I had great expectations when I first arrived. However, I felt robbed of money, time and note-worthy(especially for the asking price) coffee when I left. Simply disgusted and disappointed
Wish I could leave more than 5 stars!! Dozer is an amazing spot with tasty drinks and eats and a very comfortable and fun atmosphere. Dozer is also very involved in the community and giving back which makes me love them even more! Definitely check them out if you're looking for the perfect spot to enjoy coffee and community! Can't recommend them enough.
I love Dozer Coffee! The food is great, the staff is very friendly, and the space is versatile, open and relaxed. I've come for trivia night, millenial mingle, and for game nights. It's a lot of fun. Great mocktails on the menu and rotating food truck vendors. The food served at the restaurant is also great!
I?ve stopped into Dozer several times while driving a lot for work, and have brought the family out to enjoy. Quick service, fun vibes, plenty of seating. Drink menu has all the coffee shop classics and their seasonal drinks have a lot of creativity and always deliver.
I can?t believe I haven?t reviewed my FAVORITE coffee shop in AA! Dozer is a great place to grab coffee, brunch, and get some work done in a relaxing atmosphere. I come here at minimum once a month for their ?Brewed Awakening? coffee club with my girlfriend and I have been hooked since. They have a great selection of pour overs made with beans roasted in house by their roaster, Stu. His Bourbon Barrel Aged is 10/10 and one of the most unique beans I have ever purchased. They have a latte or matcha for an
I love this cafe?? Well decorated, the vibes are good, friendly staff, and the best coffee quality. Variety of desserts as well. The best spot for my wife and I when we need to work.
Went to DOZER the other day. They have an amazing selection of coffees and food. Their employees are very knowledgeable and can explain every drink. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I had a mocha latte and the Bart tots were also very good. Finished it off with a cakepop which was equally delicious. It's just try. I highly recommend them.
This is a nice little spot. We just got coffee, so I can't comment on the food. I got regular drip coffee (medium roast). It was unfortunately a bit sour and not delicious. Another in our group got an iced latte, which was good. The atmosphere is really nice with outdoor and indoor seating.
I ordered the spiced chai latte and it was great. However, I can?t even begin to understand why it takes 20 minutes to make a breakfast burrito with under 3 people constantly in line.
Edit: The "quiet room" was completely full, probably with people weren't also interested in listening to the baristas practice their improv routines. I worked in food service for years -- my coworker banter happened away from guests, which is the professional thing to do. Okay, so I'll admit that I came to this place with a negative mindset because the parking situation is awful. At 10am on a weekday there was exactly one free spot in the far back corner of the lot, near the ceramics studio. I know there a
The vibe in this coffee shop was really?.weird to say the least. I also felt an energy in between the co workers that just made me not want to be there. Barista seemed like she was in a bad mood as well. I really wanted to like this more considering I spent like $9 on the coffee. ??
Literally one of my favorite coffee shops in Ann Arbor. When I?m craving a locally crafted coffee drink that has original flavors and I don?t have to deal with downtown A2 parking? I?m in. The folks who work there are so kind and fun to be around. I?m a retail manager and the people who work here are the kind of people you?d want on your customer facing team; energetic, professional, fun, and know what they?re doing. Not to mention I have a freakin garlic allergy and they?re able to make food from the kit
If I could give the incredible Dozer Coffee more than 5 stars I would! This cutie patootie coffee shop is a must if you?re in the Ann Arbor area. I first found out about Dozer when vending an event at their sister company?s (Homes. Brewing) event space?and boy am I glad because this place is a GEM! From the breakfast burritos and tots to the coffee and non coffee drinks Dozer delivers! The menu has solid choices for coffee and non coffee drinkers as well as food options for meat lovers and vegetarians?all
I LOVE DOZER!!!!!!!!! Great coffee, great atmosphere, great staff, great time. Anytime you?re in there you just know you?re going to have an enjoy it - whether that be conversation/insanely delicious coffee/great food. Anyone who has anything negative to say is wrong, so don?t listen to them ????
There are always really tasty and unique drinks available here. The food is great too! It is not the same menu as the other Homes location, but same quality. Homes beers are served within the same building as Dozer too. Lots of windows and natural light here. Plenty of space to sit and work or just visit, especially in the warmer seasons when outdoor seating is available. Ann arbor has so many great coffeeshops and I can definitely say this is one of my favorites.
delicious coffee. Great donut bites. Cool vibe. I thank Jesus for this place
We?ve been going to Dozer every weekend since it first opened. Shortly after it did, we had our first child and he?s been there nearly every weekend of his life. He?s a shop ?regular? and is always treated so well especially by a few of the employees like Emily who have seen him a 100 times. We now have a second little one who is getting used to his weekly Sunday family visit. It?s a place the whole family looks forward to every week and truly an Ann Arbor gem. Maybe the best ?new? business to come to this
If Motion City Soundtrack and Taking Back Sunday are the soundtrack of choice (no complaint), they need to add changing tables to the bathrooms. Lattes are a bit expensive, but tasty. It'd be great to have tables marked as non-computer tables and limit computer usage to the long row tables. One person with a computer per a 4 seater table or booth lends a feeling of an aging hipster office instead of a coffee shop that can accommodate human interaction. Felt a bit like a well-designed & aesthetically clean c
I?m completely obsessed! Coffee is amazing, aesthetic is unmatched and the workers are friendly. Their weekend brunch is also amazing. HIGHLY recommend!
First I'd like to mention, I never thought I'd have a bad thing to say about Dozer. I recently discovered them while taking classes nearby and fell in love. Since I live 30 min outside of Ann Arbor, and having moved there from Chicago... it has been quite the endeavor to find a place with good coffee. If that is all you care about, this is the spot. However, the service and attitude of the individuals providing access to said coffee leaves something to be desired. I previously had pretty decent experiences
Food and drinks are always good which is why I come back. Service is OK. Main complaint is about the drive through. I placed an order 20 minutes early and then wait 8 minutes to be greeted at the window then I see the staff member making my drink right then. There?s essentially no point to order ahead.
Great space for studying with good coffee. However, the donuts were terrible especially for the price.
Dozer Coffee is just excellent. The space is new, it always feels inviting, tons of seating, and a great place to bring my young family. They've always been there during the Ann Arbor power outages with a smile and hot coffee and I am forever grateful for that! Add to that seasonal drinks that are unique--and you have a Tier 1 coffee campus!
The best thing about this place is the atmosphere!! It's tucked away off of Jackson Rd and was very busy for the location, but not overwhelming at all. The outdoor area is so welcoming and even dog friendly!! What a great place to go to and catch up with a friend, on a beautiful day!! I had a refreshing blackberry iced tea that was really good! I would definitely recommend because of their set up. They also had indoor sitting areas, as well. Very cool place!!
Amazing coffee!! I had the Honey latte dusted with bee pollen and my husband had the seasonal apple pie chair latte. Would highly recommend! I want to come back for a girls night and try the food and hard drinks. Will definitely be back
Such a wonderful place and community! Glad to have you guys around, and am always excited to return for more donuts, amazing coffee, tea, and of course smooj.
Waited for an online order while multiple baristas played on their phones with customers in line & waiting for orders. Was left waiting for part of my order until I finally had to ask what?s going on, only to be told they were still making the burrito after 20 minutes. Customer service and product would be a lot better if they were focused on the job & not texting. Wouldn?t say it?s worth the $17 for a small latte and breakfast burrito.
I come to Dozer once a week, and it?s the highlight of that week. The staff are lovely, especially Stu, Emily, Graham, Oceana, Davied, and Q. My latte is always worth the drive and the music is always on point. Will always be back - whether it?s for coffee club, to have a drink at Homes, or to listen to the live music and have a coffee.
Absolutely lovely place! The atmosphere is quiet, but a light and airy kind that just makes you feel good. The coffee was good, but I am noticing a trend throughout the small shops I visit of there being a slightly burnt taste, is very dark roast just a preference here in MI? The BART tots were also delicious if a bit greasy, save those tomatoes for a palate cleanser ??! Or have some water on your person ??. The carrot muffin was divine and totally worth every cent! My only regret is that I couldn't try all
Great coffee, good, and drinks. This is one of our go to places in Ann Arbor for unique and top quality snacks. It?s also a lovely place to work and hang out during the day with lots of sunlight and plenty of seating. This coffee shop is connected to a brewery so it seamlessly transitions from a work place during the day to fun hang out place on the weekend and evenings
Coffee? Immaculate Merch? Incredible Staff? Impressive Space? Impeccable Hands down the best coffee shop with the nicest staff I?ve ever been too and I?ve seen all of America so I think I know what I?m talking about.
This is one of THE BEST coffee establishments I have ever been to. The proficiency of the product and the atmosphere that is cultivated by staff is by far one of the better experiences I have had while enjoying coffee. An absolute wonderful experience!
