Brooklyn, New York 11217
Doughnut Plant on Flatbush never disappoints. I had the strawberry shortcake donut this time. It?s not quite a traditional donut, but it tastes amazing and totally satisfies the craving. The tres leches cold brew was smooth and just sweet enough. Service is always friendly and fast, even during busy hours. They were out of my favorite cr?me br?l?e donut, which wasn?t a surprise since it was late in the day. These are hands down the best donuts in New York. They are the perfect size, which makes it easy to
If you?re looking for the most delicious donuts stop here! Every donut is carefully crafted to perfection. The service was excellent! The staff was friendly patient and helpful and served us with a smile! 11/10 recommend this donut shop to satisfy all your sweet needs! We enjoyed the black and white donut, vanilla bean donut and vanilla bean with jam! Donuts available individually or in counts of 4 :)
Great cup cakes, very friendly personal. We are from Germany, it was a great Experience eating your with love backed food! Thanks for that.
Of course everyone is happy about these doughnuts, but omg - their espresso drinks and chai masala are so fine! Stop the mad waste stream by getting your cappuccino in an aesthetically pleasing cup and saucer (by "notNeutral"). They have a couple of their own roasts and retail the coffee beans and the chai. Improvement on other chai in that it is seeped and NOT from those sweetened boxes of syrupy chai. Also, they have 3 cold drinks: horchata;cold brew; and a strawberry lemonade. I once tried the horchata w
Quite possibly the best donut I've ever had! We got the Peanut Butter and Jam and my gosh, after that firdt bite...we couldn't hold it in and devoured it. Perfectly soft inside and the blueberry matched incredibly well together with the peanut butter coating on the outside. I am most definitely coming back to try the other flavors of donuts!
always a great spot, they make their donuts in Queens, and bring it over. every morning. we had the chest led Chase cake which was it looks limited edition and it had great flavors. also the yeast donut with a vanilla bean and jam and that was also straight, and had the chai latte which seemed very authentic and not too sweet. and everything in general was not too sweet but also sweet and great
Always an amazing experience when I visit ANY of the locations. The Doughnut-istas...lol make you feel so welcomed. They help you navigate through the multiple choices available. It's just great always. They have a few that are my ABSOLUTEL favorites. If you stop by you must try whatever the flavor of that time is. They make it in a glaze to cover there yeast doughnuts....ridiculous how damn delicious that is. There Tres Leche cake doughnut taste exactly like a piece of the cake. Beware the jelly filled dou
Yesterday I had one of the best consumer experiences EVER!!!! They advertisement on the side about a blueberry donut got me to go in. The atmosphere was nice. I stood in line as everyone ordered and left. It's my turn now and Andreas is my server. I'm a connoisseur on good customer service and let me tell you that he exemplifies it. They had sold out of the donut with blueberry but a coconut creme caught my attention. It was chef's kiss!!!! His smile and mannerisms were absolutely charming. I definitely wil
Located in the prospect Heights section of Brooklyn between Bergen Street, Flatbush and 6th Avenues, sits a cool triangular shaped Renaissance Revival building (similar to the wedge shaped Flatiron Building) where Doughnut Plant decided to set up shop. My husband was working in the area and decided to try some doughnuts, his pleasant experience is what brought us back to try more creations. From the moment you step inside, you feel the inviting atmosphere as you explore their enticing offerings, staff membe
I mean...it's not really a donut. I enjoyed it, but it was a spongy cake with a hole in it, and sometimes cream. It's too much -- there's too many things going on with chewy texture and extravagance and crustings, that's it's more like a stunt baker , and for the first time in maybe forever I couldnt finish a donut, it was too rich. On the upside, it made me miss quotidian donuts and even makes them seem healthy. On the other hand, even though I was intrigued by all the different flavors, I don't think I
Artesian doughnuts freshly made daily. Unique flavors and non traditional ingredients bring a twist to some of their doughnuts. And these doughnuts are huge so you can probably share one, but they?re so delicious and soft you probably won?t.
Yummy vegan donuts in the offer. 5 kinds.
I?ve ordered donuts from the prospect heights, Williamsburg location, and also Long Island city. Staff are always friendly, I especially enjoy interacting with Olivia at the prospect Heights location. I?ve tried most of the donuts at this point and included a few pictures. Here?s my list: Divine: carrot cake, Tres leches, coconut cream Excellent: wild blueberry, cr?me br?l?e, coffee cake, pumpkin cake, apple cinnamon compote, black and white Good: Brooklyn blackout: a little dry. I would like to see a v
Yum! The strawberry vegan sourdough donut was so good. Perfect with my oat latte to start my morning!
Donut was good. I got the square peanut butter. I love the sitting area. Seat wasn?t so comfortable but the view of those glass windows is amazing. The worker are friendly.
These donuts are seriously good. Super fresh, soft, and not overly sweet?just right. Definitely a spot I?ll be coming back to whenever I?m craving something sweet.? Little pricey, but probably best donuts in NYC I?ve had so far.
Gotta say, going near the end of the day is probably not the move here. They had basically nothing left aside from a couple vegan donuts, and a glazed donut. The staff wasn?t particularly friendly either, but again, at the end of the day, I kinda get it. All that said, the one donut that I got (only thing left that sounded good to me) was pretty decent. I don?t doubt that some of the other donuts are good, but I just didn?t get to try them. Maybe I?ll give this place another go someday.
Went in as a 1st timer. Got 5 different donuts. What's available is displayed in a case. They all look similar. I personally wouldn't go back. I would much rather have Dough donuts. You pay almost same prices. Taste is what counts. The donuts were moist but too dense and sugary. You definitely need something to wash them down with.
Very cute place with great service. I like the style here. The price is also lower than other chains like Joe Coffee and Starbucks. Coffee is strong. Suitable to sit around and catch up with fiends but not the most comfy to work or read here. Highly recommend.
A great donut shop! Always busy but surprisingly we could always find a seat on the weekend. The coffee is good too, so that?s a bonus! A friendly worker gave my son an extra donut when he couldn?t decide which one to choose, and it made his day?possibly year!
Not bad but very overpriced for what it was. The cr?me br?l?e was a high point and the coffee was decent. The coffee cake donut was a bit of a let down and didn?t really have any flavour. For basically $5 each it definitely wasn?t worth it.
These are hands down THE best donuts I've ever had. I had the strawberry crumble one and had to get another. Everything was fresh and home made. The hot chocolate was really good too If you're in the area, absolutely stop by here
They have an orange donut that is gluten-free however it does have diary but no eggs in it. Despite that the doughnut, taste delicious, I love the soft, moist texture, the frosting melts in your mouth with a hint of orange. The perfect dessert. They also have a gluten-free almond doughnut.
Feels super weird for owner to respond to every online review ? even mentioning his children. You lose a star, creepy man! Previous: 2 stars Overpriced, bad donuts. We got four different ones ? all tasted exactly the same. Over-sweet & sour. Positive reviewers must have no taste buds!
Update: I always get the peanut butter and jam donut & the valrhona chocolate one. Always good! ? The staff here are just the loveliest ever. Was waiting for my friend outside for dinner but I spotted DP. They were 5mins into closing but I managed to get vanilla bean donuts.
Get the coconut cream!! First bite was unique. If you are undecided because of the variety of options, ask for the top recommendation and you will amaze! The suggestions were spot on, specially with the carrot cake doughnut!
I loved the raspberry because it was very moist and fresh taste from the rasberry! also loved the coconut donut it was chewy and buttery soft. But I didn't really enjoy the creme br?l?e donut since it was a little dry wanna try pistachio donut!
I love this place! The doughnuts are incredible awesome! My favorites tres leches, coconut cream, peanut butter and jam & wild blueberry. Also the coffee is super delicious! Staff is always friendly!
Doughnut Plant has the best GF doughnuts I have had! They typically have the marcona almond and a seasonal flavor. The service is always great and it?s my absolute favorite doughnut shop. They do really fun special doughnuts too. They are doing a strawberry pride doughnut this month. And they do cute things for all the holidays. My family loves the regular doughnuts (non-GF) and all the flavors they have tried.
Amazing Donut (Salted Pecan Sourdoughnut) | One if the best I ever tried | I was skeptical because of the sourdough but I was surprised how good it tasted | Super friendly staff
Doughnut Plant makes the best donuts in NYC! You can't go wrong with any of their flavors. If you get a filled donut every bite will have filling. Their cake donuts are a favorite of mine. They have the perfect moisture and are so flavorful. I love that they use fresh fruit in their fruit flavored donuts. The coffee cake is one of my go to flavors. Any of their monthly specials are worth a try as well.
Food is amazing, and the drinks are even better (blackout latte is perfection) but I?ve learned you have to go in person. The few times I?ve ordered delivery, it?s been well over an hour wait even though the location is maybe a 10 minute walk from me. Awesome food, and the staff has always been excellent at the restaurant itself, just don?t bother with delivery if you don?t have two hours to wait for it.
This place is exciting and fascinating. Instead of saying it?s overpriced I?d like to say that the high prices you?ll find here are not due to the quality of the products but rather because of the amazing job the designers of the facilities did at putting this place together. The Creme brul?e doughnut sounded like a great option so I got it; it was exactly what I wanted it to be but I have to say it was definitely on the burned side. The prices for the ice cream doughnuts are up there and they seem more exc
Best doughnuts I?ve ever had! Unique flavor combos and great variety! My favs are the brooklyn blackout, chocolate chip cookie, and tres leches doughnuts! This post was made in connection with a Toast promotion.
The coconut cream was one of the best donuts I've ever had. If you love coconut, you need this in your life! The peanut butter jelly wasn't my favourite, I found the jam too tart.
Stopped by to inquire about placing a big order for a party, and Xavier was super helpful and patient. Answered all my questions and was polite. They also have very good doughnuts
Some darn tasty donuts! So many varieties and packed with flavor. Moist and delicious. They're also Kosher approved and have Vegan offerings. The staff is very nice and will walk you through all the offerings if you need guidance. Are they as epic as Holy Donut! in Maine? They are a decent substitute. But much like In & Out has nothing to fear from Shake Shack, the same can said here. But don't that dissuade you. These are very tasty donuts. Stop by are try one.
Absolutely amazing, truly unique donuts. Our family could be considered doughnut snobs by some because of our connections to our favorite local donut shop bakery so we are not easily impressed. These donuts earn their five stars!!!
Yeast and cake donuts as well as ice cream donuts! What more can you ask for? A wide variety of classic flavours as well as unique more adventurous flavours such as creme brule. There is some seating inside at benches and tables decorated with donuts!
Great donuts. I especially loved the coconut cream square donut, that was my favorite. My husband was a big fan of the tres leches. The shop also had a really nice decor. Would highly recommend.
Despite the attempt here to give you a gourmet doughnut, on average, the doughnuts taste slightly better than Dunkin, and they cost twice as much. Buying 2 doughnuts and a coffee can set you back $12. The coffee, too, is nothing to write home about. It's worth a try, however. The seating and atmosphere are pleasant and relaxed.
The donuts were bangin! I got the strawberry crumble which was stuffed with what appeared to be housemade strawberry jam and strawberry shortcake. These donuts are on another level! Only downfall is paying over $20 for 4 donuts.
First off this is a very cool spot in a very cool part of Brooklyn. The doughnuts have been a favorite from the first time I tried them and they never fail. Great flavors and selection, the Brooklyn blackout is a must try but you can?t go wrong with any doughnut here.
1/11/23 - classic Brooklyn Blackout Donut never fails. The staff is patient and willing to go the extra mile. This location gets heavy traffic so items can sell out until replenished later in the day. ***old review*** I prefer the cake doughnuts, whereas my S.O. prefers the yeast doughnuts. Nevertheless, you're almost always greeted with a smile, the doughnuts are delivered 4 times a day from the main kitchen, and I really like their app. Overall, this location is great and convenient on my way back from
The donuts are super fresh and tasty!! The employees there are super nice and friendly! I come all the way from New Jersey to New York for these donuts That's how much there are super worth it and delicious
I loved the beautiful latte art on my hot chocolate at Doughnut Plant! It was a perfect swan, and it really made my morning. The hot chocolate itself was also delicious and gave me a great start to the day.
Walking around Brooklyn and need a sweet treat? There's no better way to cure a sugar craving than with a doughnut from this place. Situated in a quaint triangle building, sits this doughnut and coffee shop with a wide variety of yummy doughnuts to choose from. I had the tiramisu doughnut and while the almost sickly sweet glazing stuck to my teeth, it was a truly delightful experience. So, swing by, grab a doughnut (or a dozen) and experience what a good doughnut is supposed to taste like.
Omg.... these doughnuts ?? ?? ?? I loveeeee them... like even the vegan ones ?????? DELICIOUS ?? they have one by my job and I literally need to discipline myself to stop ordering them before I become a bigger BIGBACK ?? ??Right now my favorites are the strawberry ?? shortcake ?? doughnut and the carrot ?? cake ?? doughnuts???????? PERFECTION??????
One my go-tos for consistency in donuts. The vanilla bean donut never disappoints. They were a bit greasy from this location post-frying but good still. Super fresh. The chocolate Verona was real nice too. Better ingredients than an ultra-processed dunkin whatever any day. I?ll to give them $4.50 per before I give the ultra processed and horrible DD my money for anything. Doughnut Plant is in the city, BK, and LIC. I?ve been to all locations and the consistency is there. Donuts are in 2-3 sizes depending on
Great donuts and service. But honestly the coffee steals the show! Their mochas will be in your well caffeinated dreams for years. Also the staff/service really is incredible!!! Shout out to: Olivia, Gavin, Fumie, Hanna, and the whole team!
Amazing doughnuts! Solid classics all the way to experimental flavour combos. I loved the novelty of the world's first square doughnut- mind-blowing. Must try: CREME BRULEE DONUT- it's one of the things that made then famous In the top 3 of best doughnuts in NYC (in no particular order: Dough, Doughnut Plant, Peter Pan Donut and Pastry Shop) The doughnuts are a little more expensive than your usual doughnuts. But they are pretty big and, most importantly, taste great! I'm sad and glad I don't live that cl
My go-to place for donuts! My favorite is the savory Cacio E Pepe. It tastes like a refined cheesy pastry with the soft chewy donut texture. I went back today to get it again; however the cashier lady told me that they took Cacio E Pepe off the line because they did not meet the highest quality. I appreciate that and will come back next weekend for it! Another item I highly recommend is Cr?me Br?l?e. Super yum!
Really chill spot to just sit back and watch everything while noshing on donuts and sipping on a coffee. It?s a bit expensive 3 donuts $11.30 it?s not your average donut. I wanted to try and make a review. ?? that they offer vegan donuts and gluten free as well! Creme br?l?e donut mirrors the creme br?l?e desert perfectly. The same Burt sugar layer the donut is soft with a surprise filling inside. Tres Leches donut just melted in my mouth. One thing for sure is it absolutely in love with gourmet dessert
Doughnut Plant was one of my favorite places on my first trip to New York a few years ago. It remains one of my favorite places to stop in Brooklyn. They have good coffee and excellent doughnuts (of course). I particularly enjoy the square jelly-filled ones. The space is also quirky and cool; the building is triangle shaped and the decor reflects that. Great spot!
Came here because I heard they had vegan doughnuts, and was not disappointed! Their pistachio vegan doughnut was delectable, perfect doughy, slightly chewy texture and delicious icing. Couldn't tell it wasn't vegan. They only had two vegan options, it would be great to see them increase the portion of offerings to be mainly vegan! I live right next to this place so I'll definitely be back to try future vegan options.
used to love this place but in less than 4 months their cold brew coffee went from $4 to $5 and now it's $6 in the new year. i understand raising prices but a 50% increase in less than a year? they lost a regular in me.
Not worth the money. For $5 vanilla bean doughnut it?s very ordinary, nothing inside, can?t even taste the vanilla bean flavor. I?ve had expensive donuts elsewhere and honestly this place was disappointing. One can find better at more affordable places for ordinary donuts.
Unbelievably filling and delicious donuts. I also really appreciated the tips the cashier gave me on what donuts to get. The cr?me br?l?e donut was one of the recs and I loved it!! Also some of the proceeds of the pride donut go to the Trevor fund ??
I?m all about cake donuts which I usually order, but just tried one of their yeast donuts today- better than I remember yeast donuts being. Overall their donuts are always really good. Great coffee too. Flatbush location on a slow day- people behind the counter were listening to music and singing along, joyfully - service with a sincere smile, which tells me they?ve likely got good leadership. Thanks!
Awesome donuts and coffee. Great place to refill your water bottle if you?re on a run too.
Got the Brooklyn Blackout cake doughnut and their famous Creme Br?l?e doughnut. The blackout was super tasty and actually, not too sweet! The other wasn?t as smooth or sweet as real creme br?l?e giving the cake a too-burnt flavor. (The inside cream was absolutely delicious though) the woman who helped us recognized it was our first time in the shop and was extremely happy to help and explain all the flavors to us!!
I live for donuts. So , my girlfriend's husband and I got 8 donuts. If donuts are your favorite sweet, this is a must. Not much seating, but was a short line. I loved the Creme Brule doughseed, ginger and Blackout the best. (The red one is Dough's Habiscus flavor. meh~)
Delightful donuts that not only come it round shapes, but also square! They have various flavors, freshly made and ready to order. It is a relatively small shop, which would be great for a quick bite or some work on a lap. There is a pleasant atmosphere and quick customer service
If your into sweets you cant miss this hot spot, trendy yet laid back. Tye donuts are really a meal, huge!! Most delish. I had the coconut cream & the blueberry, I couldn't not finish both. Coffee was fresh, the place is clean the ppl are nice. Totally worth it!
It's a really nice place for fresh, beautiful and delicious doughnuts! lots of different flavors, very tasty and not that filling for a doughnut :) their aqua fresca are also very good. people who work there are very open to questions and take care of their customers! but even though the tables are beautiful, you do not have a lot of seating (4/5 tables for 2)
Great donuts in this area! They have amazing flavors! They are maybe a little too sweet for me, but for someone with a sweet tooth this would be perfect
Inventive and Delicious!!! Loved the iced coffee ??
This was easily one of my best donut shop visits EVER. No contest. 5 stars!!! Above all, customer service: Janique was thoughtful, attentive and engaging - she made a great recommendation for DP?s pistachio donut (scrumptious soft raised glazed donut with pistachio crumbles ??). Then, I told her I was visiting the area and debating about going elsewhere for coffee or not, and asked for her honest opinion. She told me honestly that their coffee was actually quite good and she was 100% right - she had anoth
Omg I can't tell you how yummy the strawberry shortcake is! ?????? Blew my mind of how soft the donuts are. ??????
This was our first visit, and maybe we didn?t order the right things but we were very underwhelmed. We had the vanilla bean yeast donut and the cr?me br?l?e.
Doughnut here is the bomb. Love the seasonal variety. My favorite is the creme brulee.
I like this place and usually eat 1-2 donuts. Coffee is decent. Donuts are great. A bit pricey which I don't really like, because every time I go there my bank accounts has $12-20 less. Limited seats, but they have free water station and nice bathroom. Don't buy cinnamon buns. They are big but not worth $3.75. I hope they stop selling it.
I love the the doughnut plant! But this time I came to this location and the experience wasn?t so great? I made an online order at around 4:30pm so that I could pick it up by 6:00pm and make sure the doughnuts wouldn?t run out. When I get to the location this one employee wasn?t so pleasant. I nicely asked her for my order and she just looked at me and made a face and started looking for my order. She then called another employee and they both were whispering something and then they told me ?oh sorry we r
Got the peanut butter and coffee donuts. Thought it was too sweet and not very doughy / chewy. Had more of a cake texture, very crumbly.
It's like the Willy Wonka of donuts -- except for adults. The flavors are interesting, nothing artificial, and every single one I've tasted is delicious. The coconut cream is one of my favorites, as is the blackout cake donut. Order a bunch and sample them all with friends, or bring to a party and be a hero.
This place really SHOULD be at 5 stars for service, offerings, location and possibly taste. Me personally, I love a traditional donut. The original glazed. Donuts with lots of toppings and flavors, are not really my thing. Hence the 4 stars. My personal favorite, based on what I tired, the cinnamon roll. Yumm!!! It does have huge raisins. But I just picked around them. The cinamon roll looks like a chef's hat. Too cute!
As always one of the delicious and fresh donuts spot, that we are constantly comming back. Make sure you get in early, most of the time by or after lunch variety of donuts disappear. Ice cream donut must try. Stuff can be more friendlier.
Solid doughnut spot in the neighborhood. The chocolate frosted yeast doughnut was great, wasn?t so wild about the coconut cream filled
Excellent customer service! The smaller donuts ?? are better because they taste like the actual flavor. Not a fan of the bigger ones. The hot cocoa was pretty good. They have a small seating area, but definitely modern.
The donuts here are great in taste! I love going here to grab a few different ones. This is the peanut butter with jelly filling. Highly recommend if you need a donut fix or sick of bagels
If you like cakey donuts, this is the place for you! They?re baked fresh daily, have lots of unique flavors like PB & J but also sell classics like a vanilla glaze which is my go to. The service was quick & the staff was very friendly! I will definitely stop by here for a treat & some coffee anytime I?m in Park Slope!
Delicious donut. But $4.75 for a couple bites? Delicious but way overpriced. Nice folks.
Delicious donuts, tasty coffee, tables with plugs, and a super nice staff. Love to come work here, the big windows make for a lovely environment. Me gusta mucho ??????
tres leche and creme burlee.....are to die for. every month they pick different fruit to create new flavors. The coffee is very good. wish the place was bigger. small place w big lines but worthy. Staff always friendly.
Donuts are very unique. Very flavorful, a little too sweet for my liking, some individuals may feel the same way but overall not bad at all. Would visit again.
These are very high quality donuts! The flavors are intense; expect every donut to taste exactly as its name describes it, without being overwhelmingly sweet. The cake donuts have a perfect texture. The yeast donuts have a good texture, but just slightly too firm. Filled donuts have a good balance of filling to dough, without being excessive. Overall, this has been one my favorite donuts shops I've ever visited. Most recommended donut: Carrot Cake.
Absolutely love this spot. Staff was friendly and kind. The cr?me br?l?e doughnut is a must try. And the coconut cream doughnut is a must have. It is so delicious. Their lattes were pretty on point too.
I had the peanut butter and jam donut. It was incredible! Had to buy another one. One of the best donuts I?ve ever had! That donut was just as good as the Beignets from Cafe Du Monde.
