Doughboy's Donuts

My doughnut had a thick string baked into it. I choked on it taking a bite, and the rest of the 8 inch string was still stuck in the icing. It was absolutely disgusting and I could have really hurt myself because of the carelessness of the employees.

Great donut ?? ?? company when you walk in you are greeted by the staff with a great sense of humor. A great variety of donuts to pick from. Decorations around the store makes it known they support the local teams, especially the Nevada Wolf Pack. Overall 6 out of 5 stars go and support a local business that supports the local community.

Just had the pleasure of picking up a massive order of delicious donuts from Dough Boys - 34 dozen to be exact! What makes this even sweeter is that the owner, Marge, made a kind donation to Carson Tahoe Hospital in honor of Nurses Week. Every time we visit Reno, it?s a must to get some Doughboy donuts! Every donut is a delicious taste within itself! Great variety of donuts. I?d vote this place the best donut shop in the west!

Great doughnuts, nice breakfast sandwiches and a good selection of beverages. The only reason this store gets a 4/5 of because the drive through is a hassle. The PA system is so bad that the staff cannot hear me and we end up repeating ourselves both ways a bunch. PLEASE buy your team a quality PA system for the drive through. They deserve better and both customer and employee should be able to communicate clearly.

Mar 2024: They ran out of the croissants quick but have an extensive menu. For a sweet craving a nice spot to check out. Bathroom was quite messy and used as storage but other than that was fine.

Visited here 3 years ago and wasn't impressed. Was in the mood for a good donut so thought I'd try it again. And again, somewhat disappointing. To make a merely good donut great, the donuts have to be offered up the same day they're made. Maybe I'm wrong, but these simply don't taste same day fresh.

Doughnuts ?? are delicious as always! Soft, pillows of sweet deliciousness. Only downside was the price increase for a dozen that I wasn't expecting. Still didn't stop me from ordering.

The donuts tasted as if it was made in burnt oil. The entry area was unkept. The glass (both the entry door and the display case) had fingerprints and smears.

The fritters look burnt but are so soft and the raisin cinnamon rolls we're pretty fantastic. pretty much all the donuts are great and the ladies that were working were very nice to us

Our first time here, we ordered a dozen donuts and she asked if I wanted her to fill a couple of them since they were out of custard filled. She cut them in half and spread it on. The guy in the back should have helped her.

What a great doughnut place got there around 8:30 and there was a line to order . It went quick due to several efficient clerks . Order maple glazed, chocolate , classic and plain doughnut all excellent .

Got charged higher prices on each of the four doughnuts I bought. Employee said the prices on the menu on the wall haven't been updated yet. Customers are supposed to be charged the prices that are shown on the menu.

Favorite donut place!!! Can't believe I haven't written a review for Doughboys Donuts yet.. their donuts are unbelievable. My favorites are the old-fashioned glazed donuts and the Tiger's tail. They also have incredible breakfast sandwiches for five bucks (made with real eggs too). I always get donuts from here whenever I have friends visiting from out of town.

I went here for the first time recently and it was so well priced and delicious. They had normal black coffee and I don't know if it was the around 10 packs of creamer I put in or not but it was great. So many different donuts to choose from and it smelled like heaven the second I walked in. If you're looking for something sweet for breakfast or lunch or even dinner soon you should definitely try it out.

Stopped by this morning before work, to pick up some treats for the staff. Good doughnuts and the team was very friendly. The only complaint is, I wish they opened earlier for the days we have 5 am start times.

WOW! My first time getting doughnuts here. Bought 3 and only 1 made it home to Carson City. VERY GOOD!! Light, fluffy, and the angel filled had an ever so slight crunch of deliciousness on the bottom.

Went here for first time and I could see them making the dough!! It was epic. I purchased a small french vanilla cappuccino that i was hesitant on getting since Im not a big coffee person but there cappuccino is perfect..on point..it was not bitter or too strong. It was a great tasting cappuccino! I also ordered sausage, egg, and cheese on croissant that was HUGE! They made it worth the $$$ and trip!

When I come to your shop in the morning and I ask for a bakers dozen, please don't load me up with all of the garbage donuts that you wont sell through the day. I hadn't had my coffee yet and you were busy so I let you make the calls instead of micro managing you. You lost my donut trust. Not even a GD maple bar. Seriously....

I'm a huge fan of a light yeast doughnut and this place delivered. The selection was impressive and the doughnuts were stuffed with jelly. I'm partial to a filled doughnut rather than those with icing spooned in the center. They had doughnuts, cruellers, bear claws and even fritters. If you like breakfast pastries, I'd definitely recommend stoping in for a quick bite.

Great donuts with a good amount of selection. When I visit they are always very friendly and never had any issues. This is the place to go in south Reno for donuts! Not too much for eat in options but it works and they do get busy so every once in awhile they are out of chocolate old fashion.

Outdated and dirty inside. Donuts were fresh. Price is 10.50 for 3 donuts and a cinnamon roll The lady gladly filled a donut for me when i asked if there were any maple bars with frosting or cream(positive). However it came filled with custard instead of cream like i asked. I also asked for a cinnamon roll without raisins, sure enough it came with raisins. This place needs help. The register area is not as clean as i would expect and not worth the trip in my opinion.

Just donuts. Having visited a few times, that's what it feels like. None of the staff in my experiences were friendly, just "doing a job." The drive through attendant is always difficult to communicate with so we tried going inside today. No difference. Tried to sit down and every table and chair was covered in boxes.

We make special trips to Reno when we want donuts. That may be an indicator of the quality and freshness of the Donuts. Ask for a Bacon Maple log. You won't regret it as they make the bacon right then and hand it over to you. You won't see it in the case. I will not even go into the divine apple fritters. You need a good cup of coffee a fritter and a place to take a siesta once you are done. It is just that hard to just take a little bite. Almost forgot the prices are really good. Purchased dozen Chocolate Bavarian Cream at before closing, yet the donuts taste fresh. If the owners would consider opening a shop in the North Valley, it would be appreciated (suggest Lemmon Dr and Sky Vista Pkwy.

We came by yesterday to get donuts for my daughter's birthday. We asked for donut holes and the lady working the drive through took it upon herself to lecture us at least 3 times that these are only available if we order them. Poor selection of the best flavors. Updated in October 2024. They are still the best donuts in Reno for 30 minutes every morning until they sell out, and the management team refuses to make more of the top selling and most in demand donuts. Clearly, they just don't want to make more money, just be lazy and ignore the customers.

Haven't had a doughnut in years. Thought why not as hubby stops regularly. Pretty darn good. I had the buttermilk holes which were delicious and a crumble doughnut. They were light and airy as opposed to others I have tried in the past which always felt dense and fat laden. I'd say above average and my husband who is the real doughnut connoisseur gives them five stars which is how we ended up there in the first place. If you are going to indulge on these tasty treats do it here!

23 June 2016 - I try donuts just about everywhere I go. This place is pretty good, especially compared to Dunkin Donuts, etc. However, I had their Bavarian Cream and it was kind of dry and the custard filling was fairly bland compared to other donut shops I've been to. Good donuts, but holy heck is the staff (mostly drive through) rude. Why are you putting the people who can't hear anything and then get mad when they get the order wrong on the drive through? When I go in usually it's ok, but the drive through has always been a terrible experience. I've been yelled at for ordering after being greeted at the drive through telling me to wait. Not only does Doughboy donuts have great donuts. I love taking my boys there. I left my debt card there by accident. The owner contact me on FB to let me know they had it at the register. I really like apple fritters with chunks of apples in them. Theirs looked good but there were no apple chunks. It was more like eating a fried dough with sugar glaze. We like their chocolate filled croissants but they out of them on mother's day. Instead of the croissants we had chocolate devils food. Another disappointment being dry and very thin with the frosting.

Donuts are good but they always seem to run out breakfast items everytime we go. Several times ordered breakfast to go and they didn't even heat the items we got was cold. Doughnuts are great. Service was lacking. Game us black coffee with no option for c&s and when we asked for c&s it was like asking for free Doughnuts. Best Donuts in Reno. Probably the Best Donuts in the entire region. Possibly the best Donuts I've ever had, and I've been all over the US. Love their donuts, so did everyone at my previous occupation. Busy mornings are dealt with in a flawless flow to accommodate every and all customers in a timely manner. I've been in there at 7 a.m. and it was packed. The staff hustled and had every in front of me in and out in maybe 5 minutes. It was impressive!!!! Chocolate chip peanut butter logs are my favorite! Best in town hands down.

Everyone is very nice and the donuts are delicious. I love the different fritter flavors and their bagels. It?s one of my favorite treats for my kids. I see lots of people who do pickup orders of many boxes, and they have a delivery van parked right out front.

I have been purchasing Doughboy's Donuts since the store first opened. Up until recently I would have given them 5 stars, but now they are 2 stars at best. The last 3 times I have gotten donuts they were obviously not fresh (dried out and crispy) and tasted of old burned oil. I can't imagine purchasing these anytime into the future.

Our 1st choice to get donuts that are not overly sweet. Usually get the tiger's tail and chocolate bars. Only downside is their drive thru system that cuts in/out and don't know if they got my order and becomes a guessing game when time to pay. That only occurred about 4 out 4 times...best to go inside to order.

Not only are the doughnuts here always amazing, but the owners themselves are amazing at making sure their customers are taken care of. I went to Doughboy?s one morning for 1 box of a dozen doughnuts, and was accidentally overcharged for the box. I called and was directed to the owners. They took down my name and contact information and they not only ensured I was called back, but refunded me for the entire purchase. Thank you DoughBoys team for your care!

They close early. Family showed up at 7:45pm, hours say open till 8:00pm and the doors were locked, workers turned off lights while watching us walk up.

Doughboy?s has the very best donuts! We called about sending a family member a gift card since we?re out of state and Alice mailed one for us with a kind note inside! Great family-owned business. We look forward to visiting when we?re back in Reno again.

The donuts are decent, but the 2 young guys working the counter were very rude. I assume this place must really suck to work at because they appear to hate their job to an extreme degree, and have turned that frustration into animosity toward the customer. I ignored it got my donuts and left, but in the future I will go elsewhere for donuts.

This place is the best for donuts in Reno. Whenever I need to pick upsomething for a work event I always go here. They're open very early, and parking is generally good. It's a little over what I generally pay, but you're paying for quality.

Doughboy's is my favorite donut shop in Reno. I've never been disappointed (except if they've run out of something I want). The staff is friendly and the doughnuts are yummy!

Best location for this chain. The drive thru is a nice touch and the donuts aren't (generally) ridiculously over sweet. If you get the chocolate chip roll I highly recommend splitting it with someone though!

Visiting the area from southern California, and these were the best donuts we've had. I had a view of my wife's bagel, and I wanted to get one too. Definitely our go to shop, whenever we're in town again.

If you live here, then you know that Doughboys has the hands down absolute best doughnuts in town! A dozen runs about $16, but to me these donuts are worth every penny. I highly suggest if you're looking for a doughnut, Doughboys is the only place to go.

The staff is always helpful and they have a great selection. Dare I say it? I like these better than Krispy Kreme! We've begun buying their "Big Boy" donuts to decorate for the kids birthday cakes. I've been here more than once and they're just not cutting it. The donuts seem extra doughy, almost under- cooked. The customer service could be better as well. I would like to be acknowledged as a human not a robot

Well donuts are my thing and I have to say these were top notch. Had blueberry orange and strawberry donuts. The glaze was nice a full of flavor and add nice crunch to the fluffy cake of the donut. Bitting into each was like bitting in to cloud of sweet donut bliss. Blueberry was the best in my eye as always but the rest were on pair. Glad i made the stop and plane to visit next time im visit the area.

About the best donuts in Reno, but that is NOT saying much. The jelly donuts barely have any jelly in them. The Boston Creme are nearly empty of custard filling. The apple or blueberry fritters are in name only, no apple or blueberry to be found. The only good thing is they have decent coffee.
