The staff were amazing! They were super nice and friendly. The coffee was good. The doughnut left a bit to be desired. It looked delicious but there wasn?t much flavor. I had the maple and I didn?t taste any maple. Cute place though and loved the atmosphere.
Cute. Clean. Fun. Yummy. We went for the donuts and came back for the chicken..hence the name Doughbird! I am saying 4.5 stars just cuz it would be nice to have little tables in front but maybe they can't do that(?) Reeses donut was fluffy and good tasting chocolate. Chocolate cake donut was good just not the best hubby has ever had. Staff is super friendly especially the tall young dude (with the lemon shirt). Chicken was a large portion with good crunchy breading..we don't do heat so just basic chicken. W
Best doughnuts I?ve ever had! Soft, great flavor, great texture and super creative (cinnamon crumb cake, key lime, etc.) They do also have great coffee. There is no seating here so you?ll need to stand and eat or find a bench down the street to enjoy.
We popped in on our Moab vacation for breakfast on day 2. The shop is clean, and the staff is super friendly. We have a few really amazing doughnut places at home, and these didn?t live up to my hopes, but they were still good, just not outstanding. They were all a bit heavy/oily on the bottom, which isn?t my preferred texture. That said, the staff more than made up for it, and I?d give them another try if I were back in town.
Perfect beautiful pastries. Yeast requires a deft touch with patience and the person who made the Sugar Daddy donut is a genius, very talented.
We stopped by here after driving past a few times. I really liked their doughnuts especially the salted Carmel cronut! Recommend stopping by for the vibe. Definitely want to come back and try the chicken!
Been here a couple times now, donuts are good they?re a bit greasier than your average donut though, definitely still good. The employees are never really friendly though.
??croughnut?..what is that? Croissant + Doughnut?.mind blasted. The ?old fashioned? smells and tastes exactly like the fair ?little donuts?, what a trip. The Churro was a perfect Churro. We smashed three doughnuts, and went back to get more for the road!
(5/5) Salted caramel crodough: Absolutely incredible. Agree with all the other reviewers that this is an amazing donut, never had anything like it. Crispy layers but still chewy with drizzled sugary goodness between the layers. (4/5) Chocolate churro crodough: Still a wonderful cronut but compared to the salted caramel, we wanted more cinnamon/sugar dusting and the same gooey goodness between the layers. (3/5) Pumpkin spice cake & brown butter: Barely any pumpkin flavor and texture was crunchy on the outs
Super friendly and helpful staff! Doughnuts were great, we recommend the croughnut and the cinnamon crumb cake!
Best of the best! If you like donut, you should go there. Donuts cost 3-5dollar each. You cant eat there. Only way is take away.
Go for the chicken sandwich!! So good! Not fan of spice so did the mild (you can go from no spice to lots of spice) and it was just perfect! It's a perfect combination of sweet and spicy!
The chicken sandwich is awesome! We?ve been here several times and the service is friendly and pleasant. If you like a little spice, get the chicken sandwich hot! It has just enough spice to make it great. Should be against the law to put those great donuts up front though? we came in for chicken and left with two extra donuts each! They were delicious too.
This place is an absolute sleeper. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and a chocolate frosted doughnut. The chicken sandwich was bomb and the donut rival anything I?ve had in Salt Lake and Denver
Best donut of my life! (Salted caramel cronut), plus many more delicious donuts. Also delicious chicken sandwich! Went two days in a row?hiking and biking afforded me the extra calories?I hope ??. I haven?t even mentioned all the lovely staff. Thank you, Doughbird! See you next trip.
Beautiful display, plentiful amount of colorful delicious doughnuts. Vegan options as well. Happy staff serving and making the long line go quickly.
What a cute doughnut shop! I got the salted maple donut, the chocolate glaze classic, and a caramel flat white. The doughnuts were hearty and tasty, and the coffee gave me just the boost I needed. The staff had hiking recommendations and were chatty while making my coffee. I really had a good time talking with them!
This place is excellent! We came for both breakfast doughnuts, then again for lunch to get the fried chicken sandwich. The doughnuts are all spectacular. The fruity pebbles doughnut was my favorite! The chicken sandwiches are also delicious! We love getting spiced up & got the ?melt your clucking face off? hot sauce on the side & it was insanely hot. Can?t miss this place when ya visit!
Super tasty donuts and a very friendly staff. If you have a sweet tooth this is the place to go. The blueberry vegan donut was excellent.
AMAZING DONUTS!!! They had cronuts and vegan options as well! Beyond friendly staff, and they were making the donuts fresh all morning. My only letdown is that they're closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and we didn't find them until Monday, and were leaving the area on Weds!
If you can handle a decent line, it?s worth waiting. Some of the best doughnuts I?ve had! The Sugar Daddy was the best, it had the perfect proportion of sugar? and daddy one might say (I mean dough). They were all delicious and well worth the wait! ????????????
Great spot in downtown Moab for coffee, doughnuts, and chicken sandwiches. You wouldn?t think they would all go together but they do! We tried all of them, the iced coffee, various doughnuts, and the spicy chicken sandwich, all excellent. The shop itself is cute and the staff were super friendly. There isn?t any seating inside but they do have some bench seating on the side of the building. We stopped by for lunch one day and actually wanted a sit down place with air conditioning (after a hot morning in Moa
We are SO grateful for our hand designed donuts from Doughbird! These were made specially for our elopement and were absolutely delicious! The designs were reflective of the southwest and was just such a fantastic way to celebrate our day! Thank you so much!
This place is really cute! This is just a place to grab and go; there is no seating inside, but around the building they have some tables. I did like their donuts; they?re good, but their customer service is horrible. The staff looked annoyed, so I ordered my donuts quick.
Came here while passing through town. We got half a dozen donuts, and while they were expensive, (about $22) they definitely were a satisfactory meal for our family of 5. The donuts were filling and good tasting, making for a great breakfast on a Monday morning.
We chose Dough Bird Moab for our wedding! After trying their doughnuts, croughnuts and other pastries for breakfast during a visit to Moab, we knew based on taste alone that we absolutely had to choose them for our wedding desert. To make it even better, we loved the ownership, the customer service was kind, professional, and responsive. They did a great job of preparing our huge order in a timely, professional fashion. Not only did the donuts taste amazing, they were also very aesthetically pleasing. Our o
We came in when they were getting ready to close and the staff were so welcoming. They made us damn good espresso, and the donuts were delicious too! If you want some good third wave coffee in Moab is is a great stop.
Well ran operation, nice little shop. I saw the great array of donut options, many of them with a lot of chocolate on them, which is my favorite! So I ordered up a dozen donuts, about half of them chocolate varieties. I took a big bite out of a chocolate covered donut, and was greatly disappointed. The chocolate frosting was not good at all. I love donuts and frequent many bakeries that have various types of chocolate frosting, some fudgy, some tend to be dark, some are very milk chocolate, and I've liked t
my only only complaint, other than space is really really tight in there, um Gluten Free options. Found out that if you need specialty donuts you have to order them days in advance which is a big bummer, considering most times going for donuts is a last minute decision and i feel so bad i can't enjoy them on a whim due to my dietary restrictions. i wish there was a batch of gluten free donuts already to serve instead of having to put in a request 2 days in advance. getting a treat like this is not always p
World class vegan donuts available every day of the week. This has become a must stop for us in Moab. Their vegan donuts are light, and pack a punch of flavor. Such a friendly spot, and we highly recommend it!
Who doesn't love donuts??? We came here based on all the positive reviews. We wanted to bring donuts on our hike for a quick pick me up. Service was great and friendly. The donuts look so pretty and there were many different flavors to choose from. I'm happy they even have pumpkin spice for fall! The donuts are pricey but hefty as well. They have some weight to them but are surprisingly fluffy. However, some are a little oily as grease stains soaked through the paper bag such as the peanut butter churro
A wonderful, creative doughnut place here in town with a few different types of doughnuts - cake ones, traditional ones, etc. All of them DELISH. Unfortunately, there is not really a place to sit and eat here. But alas, they pack up the doughnuts nice and carefully and you should really go out into the amazing scenery of Moab to enjoy it! :)
Absolutely huge, incredibly yummy doughnuts that will fill you up! It?s been a month since I visited and I can?t stop thinking about how perfect these doughnuts were. If you?re in Moab, add this to your must-stop list!
Not worth the hype, not worth $30+ for a dozen donuts. The donuts are good, but I?ve had better. When we were there at 10am everything was cold. Probably would have been better hot from the fryer.
After reading other reviews, I decided to try the salted caramel crodough. It was excellent! The drip coffee was okay, so was the americano ?? I drink it black and it balances out the sweetness of the pasty. It?s payed out well for the size. I only wish they had more space to sit and enjoy there. But then it would likely be terribly crowded, so overall, definitely would like to go again and try a different one of their amazing looking treats!
I think the salted caramel cronut may have been the best ?donut? I?ve ever had. It has to be some sort of voodoo the way the flavors all come out so richly in this creation. We enjoyed the donuts we tried so much we came back for the chicken sandwich. Amazing! Rich flavor on the tastiest bun and waffle fries! And everyone working was friendly and enthusiastic! Can?t recommend giving them a try enough! Delicious!
If you?re passing through Moab, make sure to stop by Doughbird?it?s an absolute gem! I had the best donuts and caramel macchiato ever here. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience even more delightful. I tried a vanilla sprinkle donut and a salted caramel square donut, both of which were to die for. The staff recommended these, and they certainly didn?t steer me wrong! For both donuts and the coffee it was approx. $13.00 and some change. This was my first time visiting, but it
This shop is so cute; The donuts are a great price and a pretty good size. I got the Coffee Donut and the Lemon Poppyseed Cheesecake Donut; Both where moist and delicious. I was blown away by the Lemon Poppyseed Cheesecake. I was unsure about the flavor combination, but they balanced really well. They had a wide variety of flavors for the donuts; The coffee was great too. I really enjoyed talking with the staff as they were pleasant and gave great suggestions on what to order. Not only could they tell me t
We?ve been coming here for years. We?ve learned that the cake donuts seem to have an old oil bitter flavor so we tend to avoid those. The raised donuts and crodoughs are excellent! Can?t pass up an opportunity to have a salted caramel crodough! When it?s time for lunch the chicken sandwich served on a donut is a must try. We eat it every time we?re in Moab.
The donuts here are truly divine. I came in on a Friday so it was a little busy, but the line still moved really fast. The employees were all super helpful and friendly, and of course, the donuts were amazing. We tried the Sugar Daddy, which I?d highly recommended, and any of the croissant doughnuts are top notch. Super cool building on the inside and out. Overall I?d highly recommend giving this place a go when you?re in Moab!
I don't know what it is but seems like every time I go on vacation I hit up a local doughnut shop and they are always good. This place is no exception. The doughnuts were amazing. The best apple fritter I have ever had. And the chocolate covered cake doughnut is right up there 10/10. My wife had the churro croissant doughnut ( sorry I totally forget what it was called) and it was top notch as well. Thank you for a great breakfast.
If you're in Moab and you love doughnuts, you MUST stop here. Personally, I'm not a big pastry eater, but this little shop is donut-divinity! I loved their apple fritter and their churro cronut. They also have coffee confections to wash down all that sugar. Definitely check their business hours. This is more of a weekend town, with a lot of shops closed during the weekdays.
The fried chicken sandwich is great. It's on a donut bun that's been deep fried. The waffle fries that accompany the sandwich are well executed too. The spice levels though are pretty low. I got medium and wished that I got hot. It says Nashville chicken but definitely not up to the level of spicy of Hattie B's or Prince's in Nashville. There's no seats inside but you can go sit on a bench in a dusty gravel alleyway outside.
These did not disappoint! Carmel and strawberry were awesome.
Delicious donuts with flavors of all kinds! We were in and out in five minutes with a box of four donuts and coffee, so it was nice and fast. All donut shops have a different flavor to their donuts, and theirs was a little more fried cake and salty kind of flavor, so if you?re into sweet and salty donuts this is the store for you! (oddly specific) The flavors were all incredible and interesting, with cream cheese frostings and tiramisu mascarpone piped onto the donut. I highly recommend while you are in Moa
I think these are the worse donuts I?ve ever had. They look good but are dry and have a weird taste. Not moist or light and fluffy. We got a dozen which was a mistake and ended up throwing them out. Cake or yeast still bad.
I came across this spot on instagram and it was pretty good. From the moment we walked in the entire staff was so welcoming and helpful recommending donuts. They are more on the dense side vs a fluffy donut but they are beautifully crafted. Very tasty. highly recommend you checking this spot out.
Fried chicken and donuts? Sign me up. This place doesn't stay open very late so we had to rearrange our plans to be able to make it here. My husband and I split: - Dark Meat Plate - Fried Chicken Sandwich - Salted Caramel Crodough - Blueberry Cobbler Donut - Blueberry Lemon Pie Crodough - Lavender Lemonade The quality of the fried chicken was fantastic. We ordered it all medium. I'm pretty sure they gave us the wrong spice level on the dark meat plate because I love spicy food and it was so spicy it about
The place is small so there isn?t a lot of standing room but the donuts are great! We got 6. My favorites were the Oreo cheesecake, the caramel crodough (croissant donut), and the raspberry crodough. We went on a Sunday morning and it was not too crowded at all. Great for a fun treat while in town!
Great collection of donuts, unique flavors. Would be great if they had some regulars as well. If I stayed any longer I would ab e gained few more pounds but heck who is counting.
Great place to stop before driving out of Moab. They had super friendly staff (Thanks for serving us, Rachel!) And really good iced coffee. The vegan doughnuts were pretty tasty too!
Had donuts and fried chicken here and it's absolutely fantastic. The Salted Caramel Cronut was great and the Fried Chicken Sandwich was really flavorful as well. Went medium on the sauce which had a nice bite but didn't tear you up. Waffle fries were really nicely battered and flavored Would recommend this place for sure
I?m an apple fritter connoisseur. Judging by the look of these I didn?t think they would be that great. I WAS BLOWN AWAY. Fresh apple taste. Crispy crunch exterior. Amazing flavor. Literally the best I?ve ever had - and I didn?t know that was possible.
I was lucky enough to get here before a huge line formed. The smell and the cute little shop drew me in and the taste will bring me back. They were the best donuts ever!!! Big she delicious!
Nice selection, but just an average taste. Four of us left about half of the 7 donuts because after cutting them into quarters to try some, no one really wanted more. I would say they are slightly overpriced and would perfer the breakfast diner next door.
The donuts here are PHENOMENAL. We got the salted caramel crodough, chocolate glazed, apple cinnamon fritter, blueberry pancake, and chocolate old fashioned. I also got an iced caramel macchiato and it?s the best one I?ve ever had. 10/10 recommend!
Doughnuts look great, but heavy and super oily. My paperbag was soaked in oil after a few seconds of walking out the door. I got 3 doughnuts and a medium coffee (close to $14). The medium coffee was small and slightly bitter. There were no napkins nor paper towels offered nor available.
Specialty donut shop... Don't look for just the standard donuts here (i.e., an uninformed friend sent us here for a Boston creme and an apple fritter, but none were to be had). Very tasty, unusual donuts such as caramel macchiato and a chai donut. This place had quite the line, but it moved quickly and the staff were very friendly and careful to pack the donuts in a way to avoid ruining the toppings.
Great service, good suggestions, great donuts and cronuts!
Cute little donut shop! Plenty of variety when it comes to their donut selections. I ended up getting the chocolate frosted, vanilla glazed, rainbow sprinkle, apple cinnamon, Oreo and another chocolate donut. Overall, tasty fancy donuts. Price was a tad high but the staff was super friendly and ready to help you in an instant. Good place for a coffee and donut craving. A must try in Moab.
So good! I love their Salted Caramel Crodoughs. It's a cronut and I'm a huge fan of Cronuts! Salted Caramel anything is probably my favorite flavor of sweets and the flavor on these is on point. I always make time to stop through Doughbird on the way to the Whole Enchilada, or any other ride for that matter! Gotta get that pre ride sugar fix lol Their location is pretty convenient in the mid area of Moab. Service is always fast.
Who ever the hell is ordering all the Cro-nuts, quit it! Save some for me! Holy Smokes are those good. You have to get in early though; they don't last long. I chatted with the owner briefly and he said that he makes them himself at 1am every day and still runs out. I also had the Chicken and Fries. Absolutely excellent. A bit greasy, a bit spicy. More than a bit awesome.
Omg I am soo glad we stopped here! Only in town for two days so it was an impulsive stop on the way out of town. The donuts were amazing! Shared an old fashioned, cronut, and Oreo cheesecake donuts. I never had a plain old fashion donut taste so good! They also had so many different types to choose from all looking delicious. I got some fresh squeezed orange juice and they ran to go get some for chai for my sister chai tea. Defiantly coming back to this place next time in town! That way I get to chance to al
Dough bird was delicious! The doughnuts are great & I loved their chicken doughnut sandwich (perfect for lovers of chicken & waffles). It?s the perfect post hike lunch treat. The waffle fries were delicious. We got coffee here multiple times & loved all the drinks we got. Staff was super nice, friendly, & helpful. By far the best breakfast/lunch spot in Moab. It was great & super convenient being able to get both coffee & food in one spot.
The churro and salted caramel cronuts were life-altering. Worth the price! It's probably for the best I'm not local or I'd be here a lot!
Decided to walk in after I seen this place. The donuts were around $3 for one, but it?s a small business in a small town so couldn?t really complain. I got the cinnamon sugar one and it wasn?t as good as one that you get at the apple orchard, but was still decent. There were a lot of others that look really good.
Wow. Most amazing doughnuts I?ve ever had. Absolutely life changing. We leave today to go back to Texas I?m taking a box with me!
I consider myself a chicken sandwich connoisseur and I saved this restaurant as the last stop on my trip to Moab. Wow. It blew my mind away. Highly recommended for all things coffee, doughnuts, and chicken. Ordered it "Hot", which is their second hottest at 9/10 Spice. Seasoned white meat chicken breast (its damn near a pound of chicken) fried to perfection, covered with a really good fry sauce, pickles, and coleslaw, smashed between a standard glazed Cronut (for the unaware, that's a doughnut created with
The salted caramel cronut was literally one of the best doughnuts I?ve had in my life!! It was so good I seriously debated driving back and getting another one before I left town. If you get one flavor get this one! All of the doughnuts were excellent. They have a variety of doughs/styles and all of them were made well. I will definitely be stopping here the next time I?m in Moab!
Donut was surprisingly good. Never had anything like it. Would love to try the fried chicken next time.
Hidden gem right in the heart of Moab!! This adorable spot had the most diverse offering of donuts I have ever seen!! Delish to say the least. The iced coffee was what I was on the hunt for and they didn't disappoint with that either!! What a lovely little spot with super kind staff. We will be sure to stop back in on our next trip to Moab in the spring!!
Stopped in for a dozen today. Each was good but almost too greasy. Each flavor was tasty and different, but it was hard to eat much bc overall the donuts were heavily fried. We tried the Nutella, pb&j, chocolate glazed, Oreo crumble, cinnamon crumble (my fave), maple bacon old fashioned (my hubs fave), fruity pebbles, glazed old fashioned, chocolate old fashioned, and the salt caramel cronut (sons fave). They were ok (for reference we get donuts all over when we?re on vacation?.this was our 5 place this vac
Really good place to eat, the donuts were solid and the chicken was amazing. Although I recommend going with the mild heat vs medium, as someone from NM that eats a lot of chili the medium was insanely hot, my friend got the mild and he sayed it was a good amount of heat and still enjoyable
The doughnuts as well as chicken sandwiches here were so incredible! During our time in Moab we visited three times, it was that good - we just kept coming back ?? The ?hot? is quite spicy but there is explanation for what?s in it so you know what to expect ?? The staff are all super sweet and efficient even though there can be long lines.
I got two donuts and a medium spicy chicken sandwich. It was pretty spicy. I don?t think I could?ve handled hot. Definitely too much food for just me. The spicy chicken sandwich was giant. I loved it, I just wish there was another option besides the doughnut bun, because it was too much fried things for me personally. Still amazing though. The pickled slaw was my favorite.
Incredible experience. Donuts so great that they allow the body to easily time travel and enter new universes. Above and beyond customer service. If there is a long line.. that's a good sign you should wait.. the donuts are extra good that day. Highly recommend the cronut.
We were really disappointed. We got 6 donuts and a chicken sandwich in medium spice. Salted Caramel Cronut- this was probably the best and still the edges were hard in an over cooked/stale way Vanilla Old Fashioned- dryyyyyyy. Old fashioned are my typical go to. I love the edges and the glaze. This one, I took a bite and couldn't take another because my mouth was so dry. Vanilla glaze- the donut itself had no flavor, like Wonderbra Maple Glaze- same issue as the Vanilla PB&J- This was carried by the jam. T
My group and I spent all morning hiking in Canyonlands, so doughbird was the perfect afternoon stop. Chance was super helpful and made us delicious iced lattes and gave us a much needed run down on the spice levels. Even though we sat outside he continued to check on our group and brought fresh napkins every time (if you know you know). 10/10 customer service. Seems like donuts, coffee and fried chicken are an odd combo but Doughbird does them all perfectly!
INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED! After reading the reviews I knew we had to make time to try Doughbird while in Moab. I don?t know if this is just the way donuts are in the US but they were all terrible. We bought a dozen different ones and myself, my husband and my three kids didn?t like any one of them. They were hard and crusty, flavourless or poor flavour. I?m used to soft donuts, not crunchy ones. What a waste of $50 Canadian Don?t waste your time!
Salted caramel cronut was DELICIOUS. Best doughnut I?ve had. Caramel macchiato was okay, a bit flavorless.
Great fried chicken sandwich gem in Moab! Don't take their spice level for granted, hot is pretty spicy already. Mild was perfect for me, though it left my lips burning aftwards. The waffle cut fried had regular and sweet potato with a tangy aioli sauce. Got the regular glazed donut and a chocolate glazed donut. The donut itself was quite chewy and flavorful. The chocolate was dark and a good offset to the donut. Though the regular glazed was the best. Would come back for the chicken sandwich!
Every time we are near Moab my husband and I stop here even if we have to go out of our way. I love their chicken sandwiches! Their doughnuts are amazing too but sometimes they sell out before we get there.
Easily the best donuts I've ever had. The texture of the cinnamon roll, cronuts, and old fashion were just amazing. Crunchy and flaky on the outside and so soft and buttery on the inside. I couldn't stop eating them.
Not your typical doughnut spot. The doughnuts are as delicious as they are enticing, even if they are a little heavier. If you?re here, you must indulge in the cronut. That one doughnut, in and of itself, is worth the trip. Fun place, friendly staff.
Doughbird is my favorite little donut/coffee shop here in Moab. They have the cutest little donut creations that scream uniqueness and ?yummy-ness?! Also, a great thing about this shop is that the staff is always friendly and they always do wonderful things for the community. You CANNOT miss this shop, it?s that good!
You can't make a wrong choice here! Our favorites were the salted crodough and the blueberry cheesecake. We went twice and had some same and some different both days.
Delicious doughnuts, creative flavors and keeping to the classics as well. Highly recommend checking this place out!
I?ve been trying to get this chicken sandwich for over two years! Finally today we were waiting at the door when they opened and I placed my order for pickup at 11. Oh my goodness the wait was worth it. Please visit this jewel of a small store when you?re in Moab. Check the limited store hours and get there early. Jackson the Maltipoo approves 100%. @jacksonsgreatescape
