Donut Wheel

Donut Wheel

Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise the donuts as fresh, delicious, and among the best, with many calling them melt-in-your-mouth or worth traveling for. Service is often described as friendly, especially from the family owners. However, inconsistent hours and frequent closures frustrate customers, with some arriving to find the shop unexpectedly closed or sold out. A few complain about raw donuts, high prices, or poor service. Cash-only payments and occasional overcharging are noted downsides. While many love the Thai tea boba and breakfast items, others find the limited selection disappointing when donuts or sandwiches are unavailable. The shop’s reliability divides opinions, but quality donuts keep loyal customers returning.

This was the worst place to go to for donut terrible service and food. Todays my birthday and i wanted to get sweet treat for my friends and family. Sadly everywhere else was closed and I had to go here. When I first walked in I asked how much for a dozen she ignored me and started packing a dozen then after I asked for a few bags so I can pass them out and she said oh I will charge you. Charge me for 8 small brown bags that you can get anywhere. I spent $19 on nothing worth it here.

Donuts are decent, customer service not the best and I find that I get nickel and dimed to death every time I come here usually they charge more than the price posted whether it's a dozen donuts or a breakfast sandwich and then they hit you with tax even if it's cold food and if you use a card they will charge you an additional fee as well. Owners speak English but like to mumble and pretend they don't know English or don't know what you're asking or saying. It's kind of the only option for a fresh donut

Donut Wheel has the freshest donuts that I've ever tasted. Hands down the best donuts I've ever had. We make it a point to stop and grab a dozen whenever we are in the area.

Ok this place has the BEST maple bars!! They are simply perfect and remind me of the ones my mom used to get from Webbs Bakery in Stockton, CA. If yoy are ever on Hwy 70 and cruise through Quincy give yourself the treat!!

Their donuts and breakfast sandwiches are very good. The only problem I experienced is like 3 or 4 different days during morning hours between 8am and about 11am and the lights were on and the store looked open but the door was locked. I waited for a bit thinking it was just a bathroom break maybe, but no one came after like 10-15 min so I just left. They are at least good enough to keep trying though.

4-7-24 - Went here before we headed home. The place is small but comfy. The lady who helped us was nice. It has nice decorations, comforting.

Literally the best donuts of my life 11/10 I wish I took a picture of them. That raspberry one my god. Feel bad for all the dudes complaining in the reviews saying they were closed. I drove through town and stopped by chance and they were open. The sausage breakfast sandwich 10/10. I hope to come back one day

UPDATED 12/12/24 THIS PLACE IS A BOBA TEA SHOP POSING AS A DOUGHNUT SHOP. DO NOT LET THEIR NAME FOOL YOU! I recently went there in their opening hours just as they unlocked their doors and what did I see. Nothing in the cabinets and nothing but doughnuts holes for sale. No sandwiches. No doughnuts. Nothing. The gas station down the road has better options for doughnuts then this place ever will. Never open. Erregular hours with random closings with no explanation. The only thing they can make and regularl

Very pleasantly surprised, far better than I thought it would be. The maple was not the best but the chocolate was good as well as the sugar glaze and the dough was wonderfully soft and flavorful. We tried a variety. And one of the better apple fritters I have had in ages.

I hear they are good but every time I get here around opening or even an hour after opening and nobody?s there. Or suddenly the workers have to leave. I hope their donuts are as good as they say cause their service is trash. It?s been 4 attempts now and not once have I gotten a chance for any food.

Thai iced tea pretty good. Donuts are a 6/10

Great stop, just outside of Quincys town center. Perfect fuel up before Hough and Puff. ????? Breakfast sandy on ?? with ?? , ?? , and sausage was ??. Donuts were coming out as we were standing there. (?? ??) ?? was hot and very smooth. Fed 2 kids and 6 adults for $40. Thank you Donut Wheel! We will certainly be back!

Good fresh donuts, never disappointed, and the staff is very friendly.

5 star due to location, hrs. And small family business ( all were kind)3- star on selection ( typical for doughnut shop)I am very glad they kept it going.I have been coming for doughnuts from this shop since the 70's.hunting, camping, hiking, fishing or just out for a ride...where else can you get a doughnut in the early morning, afternoon ( when most other's are sold out) and a JuJitsu lesson for kids& adults

Says it's open from 630am to 530pm 7 days a week. False advertisement...was closed when I just went and I got in trouble by my lady because she really wanted a donut..

I stopped at this store as I was passing through Quincy in 2020.I am 65, and they have the most delicious doughnuts I have ever eaten! I will be driving to CA in 2 weeks and you will find me here .I have been waiting a year!!

The staff are very polite and the food is delicious. They cook more than just donuts. You will enjoy.

Best doughnuts ever!! Sweet family owners are wonderful. Go early, they routinely sell out. : )

Every time we go camping near Quincy we get donuts on our first morning! Family operated and nice people.

Great selection of donuts, prices are kind of high though.

Only bad thing is they only take cash. Donuts are delicious. They have Boba drinks which are delightful.

Lots of choices in pastry, breakfast sandwiches, gravy/bread, various drinks Including coffee, cold drinks. Bring cash, no ATM. Looks like husband/wife operation.

Been to here a few times now. The food is great and the service is good too. Such a wide selection.

They don't always have the donut I want which is either croissants or apple fritter. They close before closing time.

The donuts are great and the owners are very nice people and it's close to home
