I stopped in last minute to get 4 dozen donuts for my staff. The person that was helping me was scalding me for not placing a order the day before. Then she refused to give me the glazed donuts say she could only sell me 6 glazed when there was 11. Long story short I didn't stop in to get a scalding because I didn't order the day before. Ultimately I left with no donuts due to poor customer service. I was there to support a local business. That person need to be retrained in customer service. I will

The absolute BEST donuts! I ordered vis grub hub to surprise my son for his birthday. I called in a panic to confirm after I placed the order that I included his favorite donut. To our surprise there were TWO of his donuts with "Happy Birthday" written on the box! The sweetest surprise!

Delicious donuts! Light fluffy dough and great flavors! Love that's open early at 5am. because it's hard finding good donuts early. This was my first visit and look forward to returning. Top favs my coworkers liked were the Toasted Coconut, Caramel Apple and Canoli!

These donuts are absolutely the best fonts in southeastern Michigan!! They're so fluffy and light, not filling or heavy... they honestly do not need any filing. A must try for any true don't lover.

This is absolutely hands-down the best donut shop around! Donuts were so fresh and delicious. We got almost one of every type! Owner was so nice- this is a hidden gem! We actually sat in the parking lot and could not stop eating them.

Fresh big donuts. Well made and delicious! Fitter was large with apple and cinnamon, perfectly crisp. Gourmet donuts also available looked amazing! Could eat these instead of other fancy desserts. Worth the stop.

I placed an order through uber eats, when my order got delivered it was someone else?s order which was Barbara?s. Not the problem, the problem was when I called the shop to confirm if my donuts were still at the shop or if they had been delivered to someone else?s as well. I got the vanilla Vanilla Butter Cream and Apple Filled for myself. Both of those are fantastic. My coworkers got the Fruitty Pebbles, Strawberry Cream Cheese, The Cannoli, and Caramel Apple donuts. Those were all great according to them. Great Flavors and great experience overall

A majority of the bad reviews are very petty, not being open on Sunday?s is not a big deal. I?ve only been here once and the donuts (I took a pic because I wanted to remember that moment forever) were so good! I am not a donut fan but I did not think I would find my favorite donut shop let alone have one. They had a lot of variety?s to choose from and the lady who boxed my donuts was very sweet.

First time here. I've been looking for a serious glazed doughnut. This was it! That doughnut was perfect. The doughnut was perfect ' it was not dry or crumbly. It had moisture and texture . You have to pull it apart ever so slightly. And the glaze was perfect. I'll be going back.

Wanted to try a local small business instead of Tim Hortons, and I wanted a small black coffee from a local small business instead of the Bigbys next door. I was able to get my coffee and donut fix here! The also had apple cider, cookies, cheesecake, and I grabbed a slice of chocolate cake. I even grabbed a couple of small organic white milks from here as well! My guests had no complaints and enjoyed it all, I?ll be returning soon.

I am not a donut person but my dad (Bill) continues to frequent this donut shop so I have been able to try them. Hands down the best donuts out there. Fresh and amazing flavors! Every single thing you try is great. The strawberry cheesecake and the apple filled with peanut and caramel on top are my favorite! Soooo good!!

The bakery I have been going to for years will be closing soon do to finally retiring. Guess they have spoiled me. Donuts looked good but didn't taste as good as expected at Donut Chef. Paying a premium price I expected better. Stopped today at old bakery and paid $2.50 for two donuts that's were almost twice the size and delightful to bite into.

I went on a Friday at 9am and they were sold out of Chocolate glazed. They acted like it?s no big deal, just pick something else. I would think Chocolate glazed is a top seller, they really should have been pumping out more and more. I ended up getting chocolate cake donut which tasted like it was made yesterday. I don?t get it.

I got these donuts for work and myself and my coworkers were blown away. Very fresh and fluffy. This location just opened in Shelby so some of these reviews may be transferred from an old location, but I visited the locale on 22/Van Dyke. The posted hours indicate they are closed Mondays. Either way - highly recommended!

First time coming today and I tried the strawberry field donut, it was simply delicious great strawberry flavor and the icing and was very tasty. The place looks great, very clean and fully stocked with fresh. I was excited to see that they also serve ice cream. I'll definitely be back!

Small storefront with amazing donuts at a fair price. I dont know anyone that has a comparable selection for a dozen under 20 bucks any more. The hardest part was trying to decide which ones to get as they all look and taste incredible. Im not sure about the gourmet ones but if you are into that style they look good as well.

Super fresh donuts. Far superior to the likes of Dunkin/Tim H. Bit on the pricy side. The gourmet donuts are good, but for the price, definitely needs more filling. The fritter was nice and crunchy, just how I like them, bit on the tough side, and tasted burnt. Slowly branching out on the options they have, hope to try them all one day.

We tried this new place this morning and can say we will be back. Had a small sampling and we all liked our first donuts we tried. 2 Boston cream 1 Nutella - "pretty good and big" 2 glazed - "good and not as sweet as KP" 1 pb&j - "really good and not overly sweet" 1 strawberry cream cheese - "was a good size and very tasty. I could not eat more than 1 of these." 1 cherry chip

Wonderful owners. Amazing donuts. I called about a Maple donut the other day, my favorite, and the owner picked up. He said he didn't have any but would make some up for me, so I had a half dozen crazy-fresh-out-the-oven yummy Maple Glazed donuts that he baked just for me. You made my day!!! Wonderful service. I'm so happy they're doing well. Definitely a go to for some scrumptious donuts or other baked goods.

Went by this place today after great anticipation. The place is very nice and clean. We were super-excited to try the donuts but there were bees in the case. Oh my goodness. We were very disappointed. However, I decided to try the pineapple cake which was in a glass case and it was fresh. So delicious! Please do something about the bees flying around so that we can try out the donuts. They looked really good.

I have been waiting on this place to open for a long time. It did not disappoint now that I had a chance to stop in. The place was immaculate and the donuts smelled heavenly. I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted because they all looked so good. I got the caramel crunch and an apple fritter. The only suggestion I have is more apple on the fritter. But the dough itself on both donuts was fluffy and not dense at all. I prefer that because it should not feel like lead in your belly. The coffee

I?ve ordered donuts from here a few times, and although slightly pricey, their donuts are worth it. These are some of the best local donuts. You can tell that they were made fresh and the icing is always moist and not ?old and crusty.? My favorite are the butter cream filled, but I?m yet to have one of their donuts that I don?t like.

Tried this place for the first time today and I?m very impressed. It?s very clean inside and staff is friendly. Even though I stopped in at noon the donuts were super fresh. The dough is not dry or too dense and the donuts were not greasy. This might be my new favorite donut place in the area.

Why did it take me so long to discover this place? I've moved around a few times and landed in Michigan some years ago. By far the best donuts found since living here; soft like a fresh Krispy Kreme, not too icing, and a lot of 'fun' choices full of flavor. the interior is quaint, clean, and bright! If you haven't been here, get in here! This fat guy knows his way around a donut and giving it a 5/5!

Donuts are good if you get there early by midday they are a little dry which is understandable. Also I think the dough is a little thick, I always find I get constipated after consuming them.

There's something going on here that just isn't a good donut. My wife bought a bunch of them, but they are really small and the fritter doesn't taste good. Bummer since my wife waited a really long time for them to open. Won't be getting more do its from donut chef.

First time we purchased donuts was in the evening they were fresh, even got some still hot. Second time we went on a Thursday morning very disappointed donuts were dry, funky tasting and got hard in a short amout of time. Almost tasted like were fried in bad oil.

This place really does have classic homemade donuts, some of the best donuts I've ever had in all of my life it reminds me of being out in California by Mexico, these donuts are amazing and I drive an hour to get one.

Staff was nice. Ran out of alot of the gourmet doughnuts 3 hours after opening. These doughnuts are very sugary.

I love a good local donut shop. And for being brand new, these guys (and gals) hit the mark! No Dunkin, No Hortons for me. The French crueller was PERFECT! Flaky, spongey, and light. I usually like their donuts but I tried the cherry fritter, I would not recommend it at all. No cherry anything in it.

I've been waiting for donut Chef to open by my house for quite some time now I see that it's open today I finally got the experience of them what an amazing experience the donuts were delicious FYI the apple fritter could use just a little more injection of the Apple feeling but other than that great job

We have been waiting for this place to open since the summer. Finally went Saturday morning and were very disappointed. They only had 1 person working, the line was insane. Bought a dozen donuts, they were super chewy and old tasting. We ate 2 and threw the rest away super bummer. Hopefully they get kinks worked out.

Clean. Friendly masked worker. Both fritters had fresh, tasty dough with fruit mixed in, perfect cook. One was apple, the other strawberry/blueberry. I was disappointed that there was no pocket of fruit filling within.

Good doughnuts! However, when being boxed , why were the chocolate eclairs put chocolate side down in the box? When getting home all the chocolate stuck to the paper ! Also asked for a apple fritter and received a cherry one !

Bought 2 dozen (mix of gourmet and regular donuts) for an office meeting and everyone raved about them! Also the store was very clean, looked updated (wasn't expecting that from the exterior), and the women who helped me was super friendly :)

Doughnuts are good but the moisture content overnight makes them goey sticky if you don't refrigerate them as they are! Sugar breaks down too quickly....
