I love how simple and straightforward the donuts are here?and the store itself too! The donuts are really good, fresh, and comforting. No wonder they?ve kept the business going since 1968. Very affordable for the quality you get. The owners are super friendly as well. I?d definitely love to come back if I ever visit the U.S. again! ? Tourist from the Philippines ????
I love the donut selection here! The regular glazed donuts are made perfectly, I wouldn?t change a thing ?? Beware though, this is a cash only business.
Very fresh and delicious donuts! Lots of variety: matcha old fashioned was wonderful. My daughters got feet donuts and a cotton candy one. They were very tasty. Very nice and friendly service too!
A few times a year, my kids request to visit this donut place for a couple of old fashion donuts. They always get the foot & custard filled chocolate glazed round donut. I?ve enjoyed their cinnamon twist & cinnamon roll donuts. Folks there are friendly and I could tell a couple of locals walk over there from their near by home to read their newspaper over a coffee & a donut leisurely. A hidden gem in the larkspur.
Donut Alley is so welcoming and the doughnuts are made before your eyes from rolling out the dough to each finishing detail. The staff are kind and hardworking.
Fantastic bakery with a good mix of classic donuts and interesting flavors alike. Not my cup of tea, but I hear good things about the jellied-to-order donuts as well.

Been going here since I was a kid....great doughnuts but the customer service is lacking...I mean I get it they are just selling pastries and they woke up before the roosters but still...I mean you get to be around doughnuts at least smile at me or something. The other day I waited what seemed like an enternity for them to even acknowledge me. So if you want a delicious doughnut without the personal interaction this is your spot!!! :p

When you look back at your youth, this is the donut shop you wished your parents brought you to. The donuts are always fresh, the place is welcoming and the owner is a pure joy to know. There's lots of parking and plenty of reasons to stop by. I'm serious, you really should go, and if you have kids, bring 'em along. They'll thank you some day for doing so.
Our first and last visit: Good donuts, but....I saw the tall girl spread the glaze with her finger, no gloves, then wipe it on her apron, then put her hands behind her to lean on them and the counter. After, she scratched her face with her finger, and didn't wash after. There are still signs up about covid and why the bathroom isn't open. A buck 90 is a bit high for a donut, would be fine if they made sure their employees practiced safe food handling. And for those that say maybe it was only one time, we
A rare hidden gem that I am afraid to review as it might expose it. Fantastic donuts at a really affordable price. You don't feel like you are in the bay area with these prices. I particularly like the chocolate covered buttermilk doughnut. Luckily it comes in both a small and regular size so don't have to feel 100% guilty when getting the small.
I stumbled upon this on one of my early morning drives in Marin. Had the poppyseed donut which was heavenly. I would post a picture but I ate it. The long line is indicative of what a neighborhood favorite this place is. Only drawback, it?s cash only! Will be driving down again this weekend, the $1.70 donut is worth the $5 toll ??
Fine donuts, but not remarkable. There's a typical selection - cake, old fashioned, buttermilk, fritters, raised, twists, filled, etc. The glazed buttermilk had a nice flavor and texture, not too dense, with a good glaze. Surprisingly, the server wasn't wearing a mask or gloves (late June 2020), but it seemed acceptable since the donuts are handled with tissues.
Medium selection of quality doughnuts that are fair to underpriced for how tasty they are. Nothing truly novel: wish they would accept credit card, particularly in the time of covid (e.g., tap to pay). Cozy local spot, but no real seating - good for a quick grab-and-go

The donuts are so good. Freshly baked and delicious. I love the Apple fritters and the grandkids last ve the glazed and different shapes and flavors.
Best in Marin! The dough is perfectly soft, the icing is in a perfect ratio to dough, and it's tucked in the cute downtown of Larkspur. I'd make the trip from anywhere in Marin for this shop.
Excellent donuts!!! I arrived at 7am and they were still making many selections. The guy at the counter said they don?t typically have everything ready until 8-9am.

This is my favorite donut spot in the whole of California. I used to live close by and came here often. If you're lucky, the glazed will be warm and perfect!
I got 4 donuts and a large coffee. Donuts are made in-house. Coffee was okay, not many choices. The prices are high compared to what I would normally pay for 4 donuts and a coffee.
