Over-fryed and dense. Probably the worst donut shop donuts I have had. I don't understand how this place has such a high rating. We love donuts and frequent donut shops when we travel. We bought a dozen to sample all the varieties. I only liked one. In general, they were overcooked, dry, and dense. Maybe this is how they make donuts in the Northeast, but I am used to a lighter, better tasting donut. The coating of the crunch donut was very good. Bought two cranberry and orange muffins and they were so good! Also three donuts, all of them were great, but the apple filled one was especially delicious. Love this place!
I love this place, if you want to go somewhere but you don't know what to do, then stop by and have a coffee or donut! Also, the bacon egg and cheese is so good, my opinion. I don't get all the hate comments because I don't think the donuts are stale, and the service was so sweet and kind!
Who puts clove in a jelly donut ? If I wanted some 1500?s old school recipe from the pilgrims, I would order the artisan donuts that you do not have listed on your menu. Seriously, your apple filled and jelly stick both saturated with clove and the old fashion donut was fried in the same oil or at some time because they tasted like clove as well. .

Perhaps I just landed at a good time, a sleepy Tuesday morning where I was the only one in the entire area; but great donuts, quick service, all you can ask for. Definitely on the rich, heavy side. One donut should do you just fine.
