What a cute little diner. Tucked away in the neighborhood with not much parking , it's still worth checking out. You get complimentary, serve yourself coffee and donuts while waiting . There's a wide variety of things to make your coffee exactly how you love it. The menu is small but filled with yummy favorites. Prices are comparable to most places now, fairly cheap I'd even say. Everything was delicious and served pretty quickly. The service was great and we will definitely be back

I have been looking for a good, classic diner in Columbus for a while now and this is exactly that! From the self serve coffee bar to the delicious pancakes made with their donut batter, this place truly has it all. We tried the blueberry pancakes, breakfast tacos, the jam, and a side of potatoes all the way. Everything we so yummy and hit the spot. The atmosphere both inside and outside really makes this place unique and I will 100% be coming back!! Also, not to mention, the donuts are delicious!!! I tried

Stepout Columbus highly recommended DK diner, so my wife and I made the trip to the diner. First and foremost, the doughnuts are outstanding. Some of the best doughnuts I've ever had. The breakfast was okay. For the price of biscuits and gravy, I would have liked to see hashbrowns added. The service was pretty much help yourself. And obviously, with everything going on, there is a 50 cent upcharge on each egg. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience.

We got donuts and coffee only on a warm Saturday afternoon. First, the donuts were very classic and unpretentious. Moist, flavorful, and no nonsense. The ambience was? diner? but with some outdoor seating. We walked, but parking seemed difficult. Great service!

This is an awesome small diner with wonderful friendly staff and a great menu with many options, including breakfast, which is offered all day. The Ruben sandwich with fries was very tasty. The Saratoga chips are the best I've ever tasted Definitely give this establishment a visit

Love it. I saw a reel on Instagram about a diner in Columbus where you could get a burger served on a donut. For obvious reasons, we went there to try the burger on a donut. Social Media has changed the world for sure. Sometimes in a good way. Now, we can debate the health benefits of eating a burger on a donut all day. Or I suppose not, as it's hard to defend this as healthy. That said, damn this was delicious. A pretty unique combination that made the visit well-worth it. That's more or less it. If you

All day breakfast spots are hard to come by! The good: pancakes were huge and pretty enjoyable, The bad: I couldn?t feel comfortable given the amount of trash visibly all over the floors. The light fixtures had a thick layer of dirt. It made me wonder what cleanliness protocols do they complete if they don?t prioritize the areas customers sit and can see. Also, it?s odd that you get your own drink at a diner.

The food is quality diner food! I enjoyed it. The menu isn't sparse and a lot of items are available a la cart. I'm not sure how often they replace the coffee, but to be fair I was there at 1:30pm. It wouldn't be terribly warm. I wish there had been a way to reheat it though. Their receipt has a QR code to pay, which was super neat. I'm glad to see more places doing this so servers can attend to other tasks. Thanks for having us!

I like that you can serve yourself coffee, it made the wait perfectly fine with me. We had breakfast and it was solid. The portions were generous and the food was good. The menu has some fun options that I would like to go back to try. I thought the prices were fair. The pancakes are very good but the tater tots could've been a little less greasy and more crisp. Overall we enjoyed it and I would definitely go back.

Everything was great. Only problem is no parking and space not big enough so you will be waiting. Not long do and the amount of food and taste of the food is worth the wait. Will go back especially to try the breakfast tacos, cause baby I wanted to take those from the waitress when she was walking by to give them to another table ????

Very good food for a very good price! People are very nice here. I recommend the ?teeny little breakfast?

I had a fantastic lunch today, and I can't recommend this place enough! The service was perfect, and the food was absolutely amazing. I particularly loved the burger?it was so delicious, definitely one of the best I've had. The fries were a standout as well, earning a solid 10/10 for their old-fashioned style, which is exactly my preference. Thank you so much to the team for providing such an incredible dining experience! I can't wait to come back!

HOLY GUACAMOLE!!! This was one of the best meals I have ever been blessed with in my life. The food was magical and so was the service (shout out Bonita!) Every trial and tribulation that I have faced in my life took me to this point and it was all worth it. I would commit unspeakable acts to experience this meal for the first time again. Morals be damned. Thankfully, all I have to do is drive down the road.

Literally the best breakfast/lunch spot in Columbus and maybe America. I have friends who visit me a few times a year from Florida and they insist on eating at DK for one meal a day. They put lemons or something in the pancakes that make them so freaking good. This place should have a 5.0 rating?I question the taste buds of anyone giving less than that. Period.

I literally set aside time to visit when I'm in Columbus, it's that nice. I loved being able to sit out on the patio with my dog. The service there was also excellent. We mentioned sharing a sandwich and without needing to say more they cut it in half and brought it on two plates for us.

Love small home places. Great breakfast with a friend. Service was good. Food was better

Great food and service! Big portions. Will for sure be back.

You better get in this fast if you're getting go here! very small little location but very great food!!! Highly recommend this Diner we are from Indiana so we were just going through the area for a day decided to check this out. Service was friendly! food was great the coffee was really good. The donuts amazing! Breakfast tacos were absolutely delicious and the pancakes or just wow!!!

Met a friend here for breakfast, such a wonderful experience. Staff was super friendly and got us seated and served quickly on a busy Sunday morning. We got the Biscuits and Gravy and Pancakes. Some of the best biscuits I?ve ever had and the gravy was top notch as well. Pancakes were perfectly cooked with nice crispy edges and pillowy soft interior. Portions are very generous for the price as well. Love the self serve drinks. Got 2 delicious donuts to go, this place is legit. Will definitely be back!

Very tasty diner but very busy! If you go for weekend breakfast or brunch, expect there to be a 45 minute wait. Their pay counter is pretty disorganized and it can be annoying to have to wait for 5 tables to pay the cashier before you can pick up a carry out order. But the food is great! Their wake up burger is awesome!! Staff are nice, one waiter gave us leftover donuts at the end of the day!

A highly recommended local spot. This was my first experience visiting DK Diner. I must say a great one that left a lasting impression. The burger was fantastic, can never go wrong with a brioche bun. The staff was friendly and kind, just adding to the great vibe and atmosphere.

Used to be an amazing Diner. Food tastes different, servers are not friendly. Booster seats are disgusting with previous patrons food stuck to them. You must go to "website" to see the kids menu, but they don't know the website URL. We have Frequented here for years, but are not likely to return ??

This is the quintessential diner. Wonderful food, local people, delicious homemade donuts and coffee. We had 6 in our party so we had to put our name in and then waited about 15 minutes in our car for our table. The wait staff takes your order then you go inside to get your coffee and donuts. They are self serve. We sat outside under cover and were served quickly. My friends loved their food and everything tasted great. I would highly recommend!

Loved it! Great breakfast place. Had the home fries loaded. Was able to get a slice of French Toast instead of toast. The cinnamon in the batter made it great. I got an Apple Fritter to go but had to take a small bite. Delicious with lots of apple slices!! Will definitely go back when I?m in the area again

This place has really good food, the service was okay at best. Not over the top friendly, but not bad either. Its kinda of crowded on a Sunday morning for how small the place is. But overall it is definitely worth checking out and we will be back. Their brisket hash was ??!

Neighborhood diner with a great cozy feel. Just as advertised, you serve your own drinks. Had the biscuits and gravy with lightly scrambled eggs. Food was ok. Was not bad but was not great. However, I had blueberry glazed cake and sour cream donuts to go. Those things were worth the trip, the real reason I went. The donuts were outstandingly delicious.

Food is outstanding. I had The Phoenix sandwich and it was very good, but I would have liked it to be a bit spicier since it is touted as a Nashville hit chicken sandwich. The fries are fresh out and amazing. Their service is very good, but minimal. You get your own drinks which is actually nice. The atmosphere has a character all its own. Like many dinners it is eclectic and feels cobbled together (probably because it is).

Veggie Omelette, hash browns, biscuits with gravy. Chopped steak sandwich with fries. Patty Melt with fries. Italian sub with fries. All delicious! One of my favorite diners!

First time here smaller little restaurant with a small parking lot love the decor on the inside of the restaurant wonderful friendly attentive customer service received our food hot fast and fresh getting our drinks wasn't a big deal the young lady we had was so nice and friendly. Our food we received was a fairly large portion tasted delicious I definitely highly recommend this place! Will be coming back again.

DK is my favorite restaurant in all of Columbus. The most reasonable prices, quick service, and phenomenal food. I recommend the Jam breakfast sandwich and the Donut Sandy. Everything here is delicious and it?s incredibly consistent. I will say, it tends the be best if you stick to breakfast at breakfast and dinner at dinner. But you can?t go wrong eating here. It?s definitely a no frills sort of place but that makes it even better.

In town for business and stoped in for breakfast. Very cool place and first thing that caught my eye was the doughnuts! I decided on veggie omelette and pancake. Pancake was super crisp and light on the inside, really good. Veggie omelette was really good as well. Definitely will get some doughnuts next time, too full this trip!

The donut burger is insanely delicious. The mixture of the sweet donut with the egg & cheese & saltiness of the burger just go together well. The donuts are very good as well. Normally they sell out of donuts so you?ll wanna get some early. Place is clean and service is normally pretty quick

Great food and good prices. That?s pretty much where the goodness ends. We were told less than 20 minute wait and waited close to 50. They ran out of coffee at 9:30 am at a breakfast spot and didn?t make more even though we?d purchased all you can drink. Where we were allowed to wait was constantly changing - which was extra challenging with our young kids. We had to park several blocks away. The restaurant was freezing even inside. No communication oh how to order / pay / etc - just not a fan. Will not be

Fun diner with good food, fast and friendly service, and serve yourself drinks. The coffee was good

Excellent little diner tucked away in Grandview. We went on a Monday for brunch, so it wasn?t very busy and our food came out quick. Nice patio seating (covered and uncovered) plus some tables inside. Very casual atmosphere. Drinks are self service (except alcohol) and you can order donuts while you wait for your meal. Prices were very affordable. The food was delicious. The Donut Sandy was on point ? eggs, cheese, and thick bacon between a fresh donut. The Hot Chicken and Waffles was also good, though I t

This place is very chill and casual. I ordered the Elm Burger, which had a bacon jam spread that I enjoyed. The burger came with fresh chips that were crunchy and nicely colored. And, a good sized portion. I took 2 blueberry donuts to go. They smelled so good in the bag that I ate one while driving home. Definitely made with real blueberries. Lastly, the staff was very friendly, and seemed happy. It was nice to see people performing their jobs while not being miserable. I will surely go back to DK. Especial

We had the chorizo hash, waffle, and biscuits & gravy. All very good! Great cup of coffee and Bloody Mary. Very quaint atmosphere, with indoor and out door seating. You can buy coffee, adult beverages and donuts while waiting for a table. Serve yourself beverages, other then alcohol. Cool neighborhood breakfast/brunch spot!

The food was absolutely delicious! The price was good! This is and Diner that makes the foid from scratch like homemade. The waitresses all seemed happy and attentive. Our 1st time here. We WILL COME BACK!

Was about 20 minute wait. In my travels all over this blue globe (not flat) I've learned waiting for a seat at a breakfast restaurant means it's popular and the food is fidna be scrumptious. I was not disappointed. This was my second time there and both times I got the Skillet. It was so "ono" (Hawaiian). The wife got the Ruben, I don't normally like them, but DK's was tasty. Parking is a pain, but not a deterrent. Eating here is a must! Highly recommend!

I honestly don't really know why this place has such great reviews. When I entered, I sat myself, in an outdoors creaky tent, had very little service, etc. I ordered a western omelette with a side of corned beef hash. The omelette had green peppers, onions, and ham. The ham cubes were 'seared' fine, but the onions and green peppers were nearly raw. The corned beef hash definitely came pre-cooked out of a can and on top of that was burnt. I expected better since DK's has a lot of really great reviews, but it

My husband and I stopped in for lunch, before going to the airport. There was limited parking, so we parked on a side street. We entered through a cozy, heated outdoor space and continued inside to find a booth. There was a fairly extensive menu for breakfast and lunch. I ordered a Wild West burger with fries. My husband ordered a Grilled cheese deluxe with chips and pickle. Pepsi products, coffee and iced tea were self-serve. The portions were generous. We both finished our meals. I also tried a crul

This place has an awesome atmosphere. Half of it is outside in the open air, they have a drink bar where you can grab coffee, juice, or soda. And then they also sell donuts. The wait time can be crazy. We came at around 11 and had a 40 minute wait. So be prepared for that. I found that the food was mediocre. I had the Chorizo hash and it was 90% potatoes. At least the potatoes were well spiced and the prices were fair. They do have a fair number of interesting menu items, so I think it's worth stop

This place used to be very good. I came today, waitress could barely pay attention to our table bc she was so focused on talking with her friends. All of our food was very burnt. Is was pretty gross. Steakhouse melt was awful. Burnt pancake for my 3 year old, burnt waffles for my oldest child. My toast for my BLT was so burnt I couldn?t even enjoy it. The hashbrowns tasted very dirty. Our waitress never asked how we were doing, or if our food came out okay. She came to bring my check and practically ran awa

Super yummy breakfast that calls for a hearty nap afterwords! The seating outside was nice and the server was very friendly. I got the Spanish Omelette with added avocado and loaded potatoes with sourdough toast. Slapped it with hot sauce and devoured the whole thing with glee. Their apple fritters are also super huge, fluffy and moist! The only slight downside (which barely mattered compared to how awesome everything was) is that the toast didn't have significant sourdough flavor. Inside are self serve bev

A bit of quirky atmosphere. Half of the seating is indoor and the other half is outdoors. They use every seat in the place so don't be afraid to sit next to someone you don't know. I ordered the "Teny" and it was very good. It was a huge serving. I wanted to try a little bit of everything. I liked the self serve coffee bar, however, the lids on the to-go cups could be better. It popped right off. We had to flag down a server for more ketchup on the table. I also liked that I could pay the bill using a A QR

Never disappointed! We sat at the bar today and had the pleasure of watching the chefs work! I am partial to crispy bacon as well as well done hash browns. They always make it how I like it. The wait can be long, but it is worth it.

I visit with my girlfriend about 2-3 times a month and while we LOVE the food and the atmosphere, sometimes the service is a little weird. First, be aware that non alcoholic beverages are self serve. I delight in combing through the selection of mugs to find a unique one for my coffee. Lately they added cold brew to the menu and it is great. They make their pancakes with their donut batter and to be honest they?re the best pancakes 5/5. There are many delicious food offerings and as time goes on I?m making

Lots of great things about this place! Love the atmosphere. Love the self serve drinks. Love that the restaurant nestled in a neighborhood. Friendly service, lots of food and outdoor seating. Feel bad to give 3 stars when there are so many things to love about this place. Taking off 1 star because the coffee wasn?t the best. Coffee is one of the main reasons for breakfast and we want to love it or at the least like it. The other star is taken off because the biscuits were hard and cold in the biscuits and g

Found this place on accident! Love the all day breakfast option?? went after an appointment and wasn?t busy around 3pm ish. Food came out really fast and fresh! Very good and love the Sriracha mayo! !! Only reason I give a 4 star cause straight up garbage coffee ??

Always a great time with tasty hot and fresh breakfast options. I ordered the house pancakes and impossible patty sandwich. I love the tiny gold butters that are reminiscent of Irish cream butter (super tasty). The impossible patty needed more seasoning but the egg was cooked perfectly and the sandwich was altogether good. An amazing croissant donut with caramel drizzle on my way out and you can never go wrong.

Stopped in for a quick bite and really appreciated their sandwich selections. Ordered the Rueben and onion rings. Was delicious all the way through. After reading reviews, will have to return for their doughnuts.

This place is great. Pretty much everything that a breakfast place should be. Not outrageously overpriced as most breakfast places but still good quality food overall. My eggs were done just fine over easy. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The bacon was crispy but not burnt. Service was fast too. They had self service drink bar where you just get up and get your own beverages which was great. Overall experience was fantastic. Definitely coming back here again in the future.

Great breakfast and nice atmosphere. Excellent, fast service on our to-go order + friendly staff. This is a Columbus classic

This place screams local atmosphere. It was a great dining experience. Food was great, people were even greater. The place looks very sketchy, but don't let that deter you. I recommend the Turkey Club, but everyone enjoyed what they had.

OMG! I had my breakfast in about 5 minutes after ordering. Food was super hot and delicious. I ordered the western omelette. Packed full of veggies and meat. They gave me a coffee while I waited for my table. This is the way! Can't wait to come back to try more of the menu. Please hit like if you found this post helpful

Patty melt was good, chips were stale and tots were fried in old oil. Black bean burger was OK, but make sure that you are fine with spicy because it has some kick. Very extensive menu, which may led to the slow service and average food.

A great place to start your day. I was heading somewhere else and on a whim went here instead. I'm glad I stopped in The cronut was divine, each perfectly flaky bite put me right back in France with the true art of making a croissant. Although, this one was glazed and had a caramel drizzle which is completely western, but delectable and went great with their house blend. I also Dana's breakfast sandwich, which is a BLTE on Texas toast, but it was done just right. The bread was evenly toasted, not too

As I posted on Yelp- the place is filthy. And I don?t mean just needs a sweep- needs to shut down for a week or two and scrub and paint. I don?t know how they pass inspection. We won?t be going back unless they improve.

5 stars! Felt like I time traveled to the 80?s. Food was great! I ordered a big a** Sandwich. Server was friendly :)

A great diner with a homey/divey feel. Food is delicious and affordable. Drinks are self serve. Don?t forget to take some donuts home or stop in just for those. My wife and I both got the grilled cheese BS off of the breakfast menu. I would suggest the shredded potatoes over the home fries.

I love this place. Great food and donuts. Chill vibes and ambiance.

The food is high quality and tastes great. The service is warm and welcoming. The restaurant has a home feel vibe. I will definitely eat here again. Also, I love they actually have jelepenos as an add on, that?s not easy to find at most places. ????

I'm gonna jump on the "this place used to be great" train. Staff wasn't friendly or attentive. Food was dry and flavorless. Didn't even seem as packed as it used to be so, maybe everyone knows already what I just realized, I hadn't been in quite awhile.

I'll give it five stars for the donut sandwich, donuts and prices. The donut sandwich was amazing and crispy. The donut-batter pancakes didn't strike me as out of the norm. Husband has an Italian sub that we thought was ok. Yummy homemade chips to go with it though. Drinks are self-serve. Wait staff was kind.

It's a wonderful diner. I've eaten there hundreds of times. Always fantastic food and service.

Great food, friendly service. I had the breakfast burrito and it was delicious. Went for breakfast on a Saturday at 8:00. We did not have to wait, but by the time we finished, there was a wait of about 10 groups of people. Highly recommended!

Been meaning to go here for years. Why did I wait so long? Great food, great waitress, and don't get me started on the donuts! Perfect place for a daddy-daughter date.

Very laid-back and friendly diner. I had brekfast....pancakes and eggs with some bacon. It was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back.

The food is consistently great love the breakfast only have had lunch a few times always go there when I visit my friend who lives in Grandview

It's got a weird set up that made it a little unpleasant for me. But it seems to be many peoples thing! They encourage the qr menu (my phone is chronically dying) but have paper if you prefer. The menu has lots of options! The drinks are all self serve unless it's alcoholic. And they didn't try to upsell us on anything which is usually nice lol. The check out can be qr or at the counter. The chicken and waffle was so good not actually spicy, but the waffle was sweet and had a perfect texture! (But not as go

Nice small town homey feel. Home cooked food, friendly service and small atmosphere. Totally worth the visit!

Donuts were literally outstanding, great service. I think these were the best fries I?ve ever had. A great experience.

Came in after a rough day and got some amazing comfort food and donuts! Not sure I would stop by unless I was in the area, but if you're nearby I recommend lunch!

I?ve been coming to dk dinner for over a decade. The 3 stars is for the fact that I have a special place in my heart for this restaurant however if it was based on food alone, I?d give it a 2 stars. Food is truly terrible, the long John donut, which used to be one of the best in town, is not worth the calories. Prices have remained low but still it?s just not worth it. I?d rather get fast food somewhere for the $10.

This is the best kind of little local gem. The person who helped me with a large donut order this morning was so nice. The two dozen donuts were a big hit at work. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. I don?t know how to explain it other than local pub meets deli meets donut shop. I?ll definitely be back.

No frills is a perfect description. Just a good diner?good prices?good food?always a good time. Can?t recommend this enough.

Everything was prepared @6 mins even after I add to my order. The food was delicious ! The staff was friendly and polite, I've had a great experience and I'll return later date.

Tonight was my first time there and from the moment I walked in I knew it was going to be a great experience. From the great food to the atmosphere to the service and hand written checks, it is everything you want a hole-in-the-wall joint to be, and they nailed it. I am already planning on going back tomorrow.

Iced tea was lacking, but everything else was good. Small dive like place with diner food and atmosphere and great donuts.

Bad all around, if Cracker Barrel is your fancy night out on the town then this will suit you. Maybe just go for the donuts. ?Famous pancakes? were so dense I couldn?t choke them down, uncomfortable worn down seats, dry potatoes, bland everything, got the wrong check twice, was totally ignored, dirty, sticky and dilapidated with bad service to boot. No idea why other reviews were good, low standards I guess.

I love this place. Great food, AMAZING DONUTS. Literally so good and everyone knows it. This place is busy for brunch but it?s well worth the wait. The prices are great, not too expensive at all, it?s reasonably priced. Only downfall is the minimal parking. But don?t let that deter you!

This is a favorite of our family! The donuts and coffee are excellent. It is so welcoming and comforting. Perfect place to go in the fall/winter to sit and enjoy some hot coffee and a fresh donut. And if you?re feeling like breakfast food, you won?t be disappointed. This is a gem of Grandview.

I cannot believe that I've lived in Columbus for over two decades and didn't know this place was here! It is a quaint, tiny little diner tucked away in a quaint, tiny little part of town. We had sandwiches, salads, fresh cut fries and even some of their homemade donuts. I cannot wait to come back for breakfast and bring the whole family! So far based on my first visit, I would put this on any "must visit" list for the area!

Unique. I've never seen anything like it. It felt like a half pop-up restaurant, and well established main stay. Food was good.

Food was really good and the doughnuts sounded good. I was to full to try one. It was hard to decide what to eat so many good looking things to choose from. I was not a fan of the self service for the drinks or the doughnuts. When it is crowded it makes difficult to get drinks. The order takers are not really helpful since that's all they do is take your order. Ours never came back to check if everything was ok or how our food was. Like I said food was great and that alone would normally bring my family and

It would be dumb for me to say how great this place is and make getting a table harder. But yeah I loved it from the atmosphere, donuts, self serve beverage, patty melt, hash, bacon wrapped tots, service. Please don't go there

We are from Dayton. Almost went to hibachi for dinner but saw this sign and figured we should go in lol. I?m so glad we did because it was amazing ! The kids pancakes were shaped like Mickey and they loved it. The bacon was cooked perfectly. The Jam was quite literally the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had, that bacon jam and elm sauce were so good. My husband said the turkey reuben was great, no complaints. The service was quick, it wasn?t overcrowded, and the self serve drinks were easy. The price f

I'm pretty sure this is the best donuts I've ever had. The donut sandwich is a MUST! Even bacon was done to my liking. Will be back.
