Dixie Donuts

We found this little gem on our way home from Asheville. Always looking for a delicious doughnut, we stopped in, and Dixie's did not disappoint. They had so many flavors and varieties to choose from, such as caramel apple, Snickers and maple glazed. It was so hard to choose only six. And the apple fritters are ENORMOUS!! I've only been here one other time and we got shaved Ice. I stopped in real quick to grab a treat for our 4 kids after a family meal. I got 6 donuts and a milkshake for my husband. It was nearly closing on Sunday so I knew they wouldn't have alot left but my kids aren't picky. I was able to get some yummy treats and the ladies working were so kind even after a long day! 10/10 recommend?? What a cute little donut, ice cream and snow cone shop. Everybody really enjoyed the ice cream and from the two dozen, very exotic choices, donuts there was not a single donut left over - very rare. Would definitely recommend giving them a try as it was very affordable and the service was great.

I've traveled all over the country in my motorhome. The donut shops I've encountered have been disappointing. Some only have three different donuts. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. At last! A real donut shop! So many to choose from. I was with a friend and he said " Lets get a half dozen" I said "You only planning on eating one?" A dozen it is! Be sure to get a dozen so you don't have to turn around and go back for.more before you get home.

Cutest little doughnut shop! The staff was so helpful and friendly. First time going today and we will go back. Ordered a milkshake, shaved ice, banana split, and 1/2 a dozen doughnuts! Oh so good on this warm day!

We were so lucky to have found Dixie's Donuts a we traveled through the area. We bought more than we should have, and enjoyed every bite. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

When one walks in the door of this hidden gem yourbgreeted by the most welocming lady. She takes great pride in her worknwhich is above well deserved. There ia muxh more thsn doughnuts offered here.. There is fritters, croissants, ice cream coffee and much more. The delicious treats easily are large enough to take the place of any breakfast sandwich. The box of 12 is the way to go. The store should be on a sitcom because of its lovely an interesting array of guest that they whole heartedly take

We stopped in yesterday for the first time, how this little gem has been only 15 mins away and I did not know is crazy! Anyhoo the establishment is so cute, everyone was kind and welcoming but let me tell you about their donuts!!! We were blown away, there were so many to choose from. Presentation was phenomenal. We got a dozen and immediately tried each one. All of them were absolutely amazing! We of course had left overs and they were still great the next day. Already anticipating our next trip.

We've been getting Donuts from Dixie pretty much since they opened their doors and they have never disappointed! We especially love their "Happy Birthday" donuts and have used them at 3 of our children's parties. This is definitely the best place in town if you're looking for something sweet and special!

We stopped in on October 25, 2022. The donut selection was great. The woman who greeted and helped us was kind, patient, and friendly. The coffee was delicious donut shop coffee and was good and hot. We purchased glazed and also cream filled donuts. The donuts were fresh and amazing. We look forward to our next visit and highly recommend this place!

Loveee Libby!!!! We are long time lovers of these donuts. We had Libby bring her food truck to our wedding reception and it was perfect! Our guests loved the variety of donuts, ice cream and shaved iced. Libby was so kind and attentive to everyone and was a true joy to work with. Thank you again!!

Stopped in on the way home from camping. We got red velvet and when we were offered cream cheese frosting, we were immediately intrigued. Picked up a dozen and took a bite immediately and loved it. Cannot and would not compare to any donut chain. Absolutely fresh and still tasted amazing after the drive home hours later. Love to support local and small business. Definitely being added to our stops when we head out that way to camp. Phenomenal people running the establishment as well.

Wonderful, I love this place. Freshly made, thick creamy inside, nice people. They serve ice cream too but I have yet to try that.

Based on the great reviews and word of mouth I took the 45 min trip and was disappointed. Unfortunately I will not be back. The cake donuts left an after taste in our mouth that was not pleasing. This was a first for our family to NOT finish a donut.

We went around 4pm on a Friday and they were sold out of donuts, so we got ice cream. It was not ground breaking or something I would come back to get. The next day we drove and tried the donuts, they were pretty good. The coffee shops we went to were all selling them as well so in the future I would just buy them with my coffee. A younger girl helped us and she was super nice, but I did not catch her name.

This quaint little donut shop was a nice quick stop on my way home. The woman that helped me was polite and patient while I decided what I wanted. They have lots of options, and not just donuts. The prices were very reasonable, as well. It'll be a regular stop for me when I'm in the area. And, of course they're great tasting, too!

I absolutely loved my donuts. I got half a dozen and so far I have eaten the red velvet, carrot cake, and chocolate flavors. So moist! So flavorful! Obviously homemade... the strawberry glazed cream filled has pieces of fresh strawberry in the glaze... I was in my PJs so I sent my boyfriend in to get them and I am so glad I did!! An absolute gem of a place.

We discovered this while camping at Bandit's Roost. They have the best donuts ever. My spouse said he would never eat another apple fritter from anywhere else. Dixie's were the best. My favorites were the cinnamon flower and glazed. You cannot go wrong here. Try it. You will be glad you did.

What a neat and amazing find! Down from Bandits Roost it?s easy to leave camp for some of the freshest, homemade from scratch doughnuts, They open at 0630 so put the coffee on and get a dozen. Don?t pass up the apple fritter?absolutely amazing and fresh. Support a local bakery and enjoy!!

We stopped by around 5:30pm - we were visiting from Charlotte and on our way to dinner to grab a few donuts for an after-dinner treat. The donuts and croissants were amazing! I particularly loved the blueberry cake donut with cinnamon / sugar on top. Yum!

Love this place, me and my son try and stop once a week on our way home from school and there's always so many donuts to choose from, they're always fresh, the staff are friendly, and the prices aren't bad either. It's a cool little place to check out if you haven't yet!

My favorite (and apparently everyone else's too!) Donut shop in Wilkesboro. Very close to the reservoir but just minutes from downtown. Try the almond Joy or snickers donuts and familiar favorites too! A must when visiting the area.

Pleasantly surprised. Doughnuts were good, but most of all I was happy that the store was spotlessly clean. Hand sanitizer on the counter, Clorox wipes near the sink in their kitchen area and the lady who helped me wore a mask. Given the pandemic, I was not unhappy to smell bleach and pine sol instead of doughnuts! Good prices, good variety, and good service. I will definitely return.

Y'all, this place is a quaint little doughnut shop, but the doughnuts are amazing! We had several varieties of the filled doughnuts, and man, they are great! Tons of filling soft yummy bread, amazing!

I went there and there was only like 3 donuts, I asked the boy at the counter if they had any other ones and he very rudely said no to me. I felt unwelcome and I came in an hour and a half before they closed. Don?t go here these people are rude.

We were camping at Bandits Roost Campground and we decided to stop in and try out the donuts. I have not had donuts like these in years, they were great. I highly recommend that people stop by this place and get a treat.

We stopped tho get a cup of coffee on the way back to Raleigh. Pleasantly surprised with the quality of coffee. Employees were kind and prompt service. A great doughnut, as well.

Excellent donuts and ice cream made locally. Superb customer service. They brewed us fresh coffee 5 minutes before closing. Coffee could be made stronger though.

I prefer this place to Dunkin Donuts. Dixie has better selection and the doughnuts taste better in my opinion. They just have coffee, nothing fancy, but that's all I need. The only downside is they are kinda out of the way. But if you do find yourself going by, don't pass them up, give Dixie a try!

Camping at Worrier creek last weekend and thought we would give them a try... Excellent decision because the doughnuts were fantastic and the people there were very nice.. Dixie Doughnuts will be a regular stop when we camp in that area

The red velvet, boston cream and maple donuts I had along our way out to Boone were 5/5. If you're craving good donuts, it's worth the drive out!

Dixie Donuts provided the donuts for my wedding, and they were both beautiful and absolutely delicious! They have a great variety of donuts to choose from and are willing to accommodate your needs.

Fresh and delicious! Probably some of the best I've ever had[And this is coming from a Krispy Kreme fan]. I got creme filled and got daughters whole school class chocolate covered and many asked where they were from because they thought they were delicious.

The best doughnuts and friendly staff. I was spoiled with a restaurant in my hometown that specialized in doughnuts and baked goodies and a bait and tackle shop that made awesome cinnamon doughnuts and hot chocolate. Dixie did a great job ranking right up there with both of those.

My favorrrrrite place for "icy drink" Bahama Mama with snow cream is my guilty pleasure!!! They are loaded with flavor never any plain ice in my cup!!! Donuts are great too!!

My kiddos love to go to the lake for the day and what better than donuts or ice cream before or after a trip to the lake the location is absolutely perfect and it's a great sugar pick up for anyone burning those calories outside the staff are always friendly there's restrooms and places to sit inside and outside so it's a win for me

Dounts that are much better than Dunkin Donuts. Classic and unique/special flavors along with ice cream, coffee, and a few seating tables, this atmosphere is perfect for a snack at anytime of day.
