I stopped by this bakery to pick up Henry's birthday cake. The staff there were friendly and nice. I got a half sheet ube cake for $58, and I really enjoyed the flavor. It had a hint of coconut and was not too sweet. The cake was beautifully decorated. However, when I inquired about ordering a custom cake for my event in June, I was disappointed to learn that they are no longer taking orders. The place seemed clean and organized. Overall, it's a great spot if you're looking for delicious ube cake.

I probably called 3 times after my initial order for various changes (cake size, fruit topping, pickup time) and they were so accommodating each time! My event got moved up last minute (Thursday to Wednesday) and I was so grateful that I could pick up the half sheet ube cake one day earlier!! Not saying this will be the case for everyone but I was so pleased with their service. (I have had cake from this place at least 10 times but this was my first time ordering!)

Wonderful bakery in Columbia City. The donuts were excellent! Nice variety of pastries as well - guava strudel, ube croissant, mango empanada! I especially loved the Ube filled donut. Can?t wait to go back.

I came across this wonderful place by accident years ago. Best last minute decision EVER!! I live in the Des Moines area and when I crave donuts, this is the only place I go! Delite Bakery has been a staple in my life since I was a young child, even before they were located in this current building. Their pastries are always fresh and delicious. I ordered a giant (full sheet) cake for my son?s birthday. The cake was beautiful and they were very nice to work with. However, the vanilla custard filling was clearly spoiled - it tasted like blue cheese. It was embarrassing serving this to a large group. I will not be purchasing from them again.

Dirty -merchants!!! Understand that there is a .50 cent charge on cc under 10 bucks?but most merchants when the charge with cc fee is rounded up past $10 will just run it for 10.01. The fact u weren?t charge the cc fee and made out with additional.25 cents & 25 on the front it shows I really don?t care about ur customers :(

I highly recommend this bakery for birthday cakes. Everyone at the party enjoyed the cake. You know how sometimes when you have a birthday cake, you?ll see plates in the trash with a bunch of frosting because it?s too sweet. Not the case with this cake. It was coconut flavor but not too heavy on coconut at all which even those who don?t like coconut enjoyed it.

A great Filipino bakery! This bakery has fresh made baked goodies nearly every day! Affordable prices and a variety of goods, including baked goods with Ube! I also had a filled yeast risen donut and it was super soft and fluffy. I recommend bring cash if you?re planning on making purchasing under $10 as they do charge a credit card usage fee.

Donuts, croissants, and cookies are delicious! Sometimes a little too sweet for me, but the kids enjoy it so much. We love the portions of everything they have, and the ladies who work here are always very sweet. We ordered a pandan cake here a few months back, and it was one of the best we?ve ever had. I have been coming here since I was a young girl. Since I was around the neighborhood, I got my favorites. Somehow the recipe for the purple yam (ube) changed! It does not have the same taste and looks different. What has changed? This looks like water, flour and food coloring. Please bring back the original Ube!

I hadn't been to Despi Delite for a few years, but was in the area and stopped in. They are a Filipino bakery that has been around for a long time. I see a lot of their baked goods all around at Seattle grocery stores. I visited Despi Delite after 2pm on a Friday afternoon and was the only customer there. Hidden (to some) gem of Seattle. I agree with some of the reviews that certain items are very sweet. However, it is pretty easy to dodge those if that?s not what you?re in for. The ube bread is out of this world though!! My friends got me the ube cake for my bday, definitely a crowd pleaser.

Great neighborhood bakery in Beacon Hill. From doughnuts, cakes, pastries, they have variety of baked goods. I liked their old fashion doughnut and fried mochi on a stick. Staffs are very friendly. There is a small parking lot.

Super disappointed in their mini ube bread. I guess I should?ve read the ingredients before I bought them but I didn?t. When I tried one and thought it didn?t taste like ube at all, turns out they don?t even have any ube or any other type of yam listed in their ingredients?!!?!! Both cashiers were more interested in a customer with a dog. Finally one of them came to help us. My blueberry croissant was burnt/ over baked on the bottom, and not much blueberry. My grandson's choc cream donut good. I don't live in the city so when I come to the city we always stop at delite bakery. I have to check my food before I leave or just don't go there anymore.

I love coming here! Their filipino cakes and pastries are reminiscent of home where cakes are light and not overly sugary. I become a little girl in a candy store when I come here! Their breads, Turon, and cakes rolls made with buttercream icing are divine!

Awesome bakery! I had coffee and donuts. The service was fast )there were quite a few customers but employees kept coming out of the back room (probably shifting from work back there to help customers?) and soon we were all served. Brittany made 2 cakes for our wedding (2 tiered display cake and serving sheet cake) and they were both spectacular. I'm not a big fan of cake in general, but her ube cake with macapuno filling was SOOO GOOD. Not too sweet either. Our guests loved it as well and went back for seconds - hands down, best ube cake in the Seattle area.

Mixed. Some items are good but some are not. Donuts were good. But anything ube has no real ube - it's artificial flavor and dyes. Filling of cream puff was not cream.. More like spun sugar/marshmallow. Donut. Staff is very friendly.

My favorite spot for sheet cakes and donuts! I've ordered here for years, the sheet cakes are wonderful, favorite flavor combo is ube with coconut filling, they use a light whip cream frosting. I have given this bakery 3 chances. As much as I would like to like their baked goods, it never happened. Not sure why people rave about their ube products... I tried their ube buns and ube cake. Used to be good. Not sure why the ube roll and mocha roll I got there got bad after 2 or 3 days. It tasted like mold. It was so hard to eat and I thought it's just one roll but both tasted like mold. I kept gagging and vomited each time I tried to eat a slice.

I?ve eaten their pan de sal since I was a child. Their ensamayda is my favorite. The taste is exactly like the bakery next to my grandparents in the Philippines. I?ve ate their bread products now for 30 years and the flavor and quality has never changed. Truly a one of a kind bakery. Love that my children get to enjoy such delicious I grew up on.

I originally came here for a late birthday cake but when I saw the donuts I couldn't resist! I got an apple fritter, glazed twist, maple bar, and Boston cream. LET ME TELL YOU, I immediately went to eat the Boston. This is one, if not THE BEST donuts I've ever had. The ingredients taste so fresh. The custard is TO DIE FOR. The chocolate is exquisite. Huge and deliciously addictive donuts. I especially recommend the maple bars and the old fashioneds. My coworkers used to run up here from our SODO location during our break and pick up a dozen. We called the maple bars "aircraft carriers" because of their size.

I've been a customer here for years. I love the baked goods and the people that work here are a joy. My fav item are all the ube offerings! Their taho is so good as well which is a tapioca, tofu, dessert with syrup in a cup.

We stop by here with every trip to Seattle, My daughter has a real weakness for the custard rolled cakes and probably a dozen+ donuts. Helps during traffic times and definitely is delicious.

I had their pineapple custard cake and their taro cake. The pineapple cake had great well balanced fruit-and-sweetness with appropriate fluffiness. The taro one was good but a little more artificial tasting. I lived in Beacon Hill and had been here in 2005 or 2006 and had not been impressed, but this was much better.

I paid for 6 sandwiches to pick up .I was unable to pick up my child was sick. I asked to change the items since the sandwiches were old they told me i had to eat the 5 day old tuna sandwich and could not help me. Honest to goodness; this is the best bakery for donuts in the Puget Sound. And I have eaten at every donut-house, bakery, delicatessen in the northwest. Nothing is as consistently as good. Top Pot is a pound cake of all the same taste next to this place. Honestly, try it.

I come here for my Filipino desserts and breads. Not to mention all their other fresh cooked/baked goodness. If I need an ube fix I know I can count on them to have me covered. They also have cronuts, maple bars with bacon and a to die for apple fritter. The pork or chicken siopao are so delicious and filling. The customer service is great and they are always willing to answer questions.

If you haven't had Delite bakery, YOU NEED TO GET THERE! This place is AMAZING. Each and every item I've tried here has been WONDERFUL. They specialize in Phillipino deserts but they do carry your standard American items as well. Even if you're not in the area this small bakery is worth a trip!

Very average bakery. They have a weird pizza thing on some type of croissant dough that is kind of good. The donuts are fine. The cronuts aren?t worth it. The ladies are nice.

Hidden gem, if you want great dessert that is a little different check this place out. I recommend anything Ube or Almond type desserts. Coming back again for sure. Also they require mask for covid safety which made me feel comfortable.

Britt did an amazing job on my daughters baby shower cake. I found a picture on pinterest and she was able to bring it to life. Down side is that it was about $180, that is expensive considering it literally only feeds 20 and I had to buy my own crown. She offered to supply the crown and deliver but at an additional costs which was around $220.The original cake from my photo had 2 pillows on top of each other but the quote for that was almost $400. I decided on just the one pillow and found a crown on Amazo

Terrible customer service! I called the bakery earlier this week asking if they would be open during the snowstorm they assured me they will be open. I had time to reschedule but they took upon themselves to make the cake early without my consent. So I had no choice but to pick up the cake. Their excuse was other customers were asking for their cake to be made early, but I was not one of those customers. The birthday party had to be rescheduled and now I?m out a cake. The only place where i will go for ube cake! By far the best ive ever had 100% recommend. Sheet cake is a whipped cream icing and the roll is more of a butter cream. I prefer the $27 sheet.

I came in just to buy a dozen of their bibingka rice cake to bring back home to Vegas/Colorado. Ended up walking out with more than I expected. Excellent ube roll, bibingka and red velvet cupcake.
