Omg! WOW! I?m from TX and pulled in to get some treats for customers and couldn?t be more impressed with the service and food! Great down home, bakery! Do yourself a favor and grab the crawfish croissants! Or grab anything! This place did not disappoint! I will make sure I stop there every time I come into town! I would leave a picture of the croissants, but we ate them all!

Not much to say on the atmosphere it is a small bakery. The woman taking our order was very nice. I got two king cake ?slices? from here. Cream cheese && cookies & cream. The bread tasted stale and old. The cream cheese tasted extremely sour & off. For the cookies & cream the Oreos chips on top were soggy and you can tell are old and same thing the bread was stale. These clearly needed to be thrown away. They were not fresh but this business still wants to make a profit. I don?t recommend. #kingcame

We always enjoy delicious donuts. At one time I lived nearby and have them often. Moved out of state so it's been a long time. Not much different at all. Bought various products and shared at a party. The favorite was the maple and nut glazed cinnamon roll. I will say the chocolate filled donut was not at all what it used to be. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely try to return. What can I say... It's delicious donuts ??

Had such an amazing experience coming to Delicious Donuts & Bakery. Such great customer service with amazing beignets and donuts. Came from all the way from Houston to the casinos and decided to get a beignets and this spot came up with great reviews! Had an amazing experience at Delicious Donuts and Bakery. We came from Texas on vacation and all we wanted was a King cake to take home and this place delivered in all aspects. Customer service was AH-MAZING and they came in clutch with their delicious options. They have so many flavors to choose from and Paula even offered to give us a naked king cake to take home and freeze to save for Fat Tuesday. 10/10 definitely recommend!

Stopped in for some king cake. I was amazed at how many different king cakes were packed in this tiny little shack. I chose a pecan fudge Bavarian small king cake, and it was delicious. Definitely will return when we are back in town.

Whenever I go to Lake Charles I usually stop buying crawfish donuts. I m not crawfish person but I eat occasionally. This place is little dinky place but has character.

Great king cakes with a variety of options, including savory king cakes. The kolaches are tasty, too. We got a frozen boudin king cake to bake later & traditional strawberry and cream cheese. The strawberry cream cheese is comparable to New Orleans.

I was driving to Lake Charles yesterday and looked up bakeries that sell King cakes and came upon this shop. As soon as I got into Lake Charles I drove over there to get one. WOW! What a selection! I decided on a traditional cinnamon one and brought it to my office today back in Texas. It was fantastic and everyone loved it. Delicious. I would definitely go back to this bakery. Highly recommend.

Open early and stay late into the day. Good donuts, especially the cherry donut holes and chocolate donut holes. They also sell kolaches!

This was the best donut experience I've ever had. The gentleman behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. I got a kolache (kalatchie)--I can't remember the type, but it was the best kolache I've eaten (he said he eats one everyday). I also had a cake donut, Frootie Pebbles donut, and 2 more donuts. All of this was only $10. If I'm ever back in Lake Charles, I will definitely come back to Delicious Donuts!

This place is amazing! Best glazed donuts I have ever had fresh and still warm. Bacon egg and cheese kolache was so satisfying, there is magic in the bread they use. Locally owned hidden gem! Will definitely be back!

I recently made a trip to Lake Charles, Delicious donuts were always on my list to go by, and purchase what were the best donuts ever, when i lived there. But my last visit there, on Jan. 3rd 2019, i spent over $40 there to bring donuts back to N. Texas. I was do dissatisfied and let down, they were down sized, heavy, and more expensive! I went to delicious donuts at 6 am on 9/25/23 and had a terrible experience. I ordered 2 packs dozen donut holes and a dozen 1/2 and 1/2 glazed and chocolate. Not a single donut was even warm. When i asked why the donut holes were cold she said she didnt know. I asked for fresh donut holes and she said no. The only reason i went to get donuts was for fresh donuts and delicious donuts failed tremendously. Seriously dont go

The whimsical donut toppings are adorable and unique I mean who would've just thought of putting cereal as a donut topping. It's colorful, gives texture change, and combines two well admired breakfast choices into one. Definitely has kid approved eye appeal

Very delicious King Cake. Card machine wasn't working but he let me take the cake to my rv and come back with cash to pay for it. He also sent me away with complimentary donut holes for the kids. The donut holes were also very good. There are many different fillings you can choose from for a custom king cake. Great service. Lovely Bakery with a small-town homey feeling. Large selection with many options for your sweet tooth and boudin Kalotchies like no other! Customer Service is always quick and friendly. They remember my name every time I walk through the door and I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and Delicious Donuts!

Stopped on our way home to Texas to get a king cake, everyone was so sweet and friendly. It's a small shop but you can tell everything is made with love and care. Definitely coming back again!

Oh what can I say this place is fire the beignets were so good damn and the the bayou blend kolahettes fack the best can wait to go back great service nice people.

Out-sized variety for such a cozy location! The 500-lb gorilla of donut making. Best donut holes we've had (stellar glaze), and had never heard of fried kolaches until here but now we're hooked. Our kids are ready to move to Louisiana for this place alone. Absolutely amazing!

We stopped here on the way home from Key West. We needed to take some beignets home for our grandchildren. Not many are open on a Sunday. We went here it was a small shop, drive thru only, the girl was so sweet we stopped by and picked up a dozen, the best beignet?s I?ve had! If you're looking for the best kolaches in town, you must swing by! The shrimp and jalapeno was my favorite. I'm used to boudin, but Delicious has so many varieties that fit my southern palette. There's nothing better than being able to watch their creativity come to life making the donuts. This is my go to for breakfast any time I'm in Lake Charles.

I?m not one to give bad reviews but I was very disappointed this morning.Came through the drive through Early about 7:30 and asked for Hot donuts and they gave me room temperature and to make matters worse... I asked for two Kolaches which were ice cold and stale and when i asked if they could heat them up.. I?m huge on customer service which is the only reason I?m leaving a 2 star rating. The older lady who took our order was rude the minute we walked in the door. Not enough words to describe how great this food is. I've never seen such a selection at a donut shop. Great Regional selections like boudin kolaches and King Cakes. They even have mini king cakes. Incredibly fast service for such a small place! And they turn out so much product! And they do it all with friendly, courteous service.

I am so glad I called my King Cakes in, they were wonderful. I will be driving from Texas every year now for these. The cakes were moist, the filling was wonderful, not to mention they were decorated beautifully. Must also get the crawfish and three cheese kolaches, just as amazing.

I was super excited to find an American donut place so close to my house, but unfortunately the donuts have tasted terrible every time we've tried them. I know a lot of colleagues that come here to buy their king cakes, but I personally haven't tried them because of the not so great experiences with the donuts and kolaches.

I don?t understand why anyone would choose to work in customer service if they do not take pride in serving their customers. You cannot treat one customer very bland and transactional as to rush them out of your store and then treat the customer behind them with the utmost respect and pleasure and tell on customer about a promotional drawing but not the customer directly in front of them. I adore this place!!!! As a migraineur, I have to watch my salts and sugars, but these kids people looked on bottles for me and have vowed to avoid things with those triggers. I can have their baking, and that means more than they will ever know. Their people are patient and kind despite being a rather busy establishment.

They used to have a large variety of specialty donuts like chocolate icing filled eclairs and white icing filled donuts that set them apart. But now you can?t go inside and pick what you want. It?s drive through only and without the variety they are not as good as the other shops around. Disappointing!!!

Really good but they are more of a pistolette than a kolache, when we ordered. There were egg bacon and cheese pistolettes, boudin, sausage and seafood. Different, delicious.

Usually when I have something bad to say I keep it to myself but a coworker suggested them to me so this was my 1st visit to this donut shop and I probably won?t be back! I got there when they opened at 4:00am and the donuts were extremely cold and stiff seems like I got donuts leftover from the day before! Even if they were made at 2:00am they should not have been this stiff!

Just tasted the bananas foster king cake and almost got a little faint. One of the most decadent things I've ever had and EASILY the best king cake in town. Would give it 10 stars if I could.

The owner is rude to customers and employees. While I was there an employee was trying to get his paycheck and the owner didn't want to pay him. This employee was one of the nice ones. Now I know why they couldn't keep employees.
