OMG! The absolute best apple fritter I've ever had (and I've had a bunch). When I first saw the fritters, they looked flatter than the traditional fritters served at most places. I am SO GLAD I tried one. Just spectacular. The sausage, egg and cheese biscuit was amazing. I didn't know a sausage biscuit could even be amazing. Something about the bread receipe here is world class. I have to mention the fritter again though. I don't care if this place is not on your route, doesn't matter if the kids are whinin
Food: Good donuts! Love them warm! Service: The few people I have come into contact with here do not smile and seem irritated that they are at work. Atmosphere: Average little country donut shop.
I picked up $40 worth of donuts at 0630 Friday morning and the apple fritter I got for myself was overcooked to the point of no return. I knew it was jacked up when I grabbed it from the bag and it felt like a chunk of iron ore and looked like a piece of iron ore... and tasted like a burned, iron ore flavored doorstop. The issue is not that it got overcooked but that someone, two or more people at least, were so involved in their work that quality assurance was tossed to the curb in homage to the almighty
The nice folks at Daylight always provide excellent service and delicious food. They know my usual order and have it ready for me when they see me pulling up. From donuts, cinnamon rolls, breakfast biscuits and kolaches, they have a great selection of food and beverages. Good Christian People!

I was doing a doordash and ALWAYS pick up my order through drive throughs. The lady at the window snapped at me that they had a line and to come in for doordash orders as if i wasnt just like a normal customer. Also there was one car in front of me and none behind me, NO LINE. she said that the person who doordashed from me was messaging her because we went through the drive through although they told us they had never mentioned anything.
The doughnut holes are really good and are my favorite! I like the chocolate covered doughnuts too
We're truckers and were delivery to the Dollar General next door, made the quick walk over and showed up just past closing. They served us anyway and the food was amazing. The biscuits tasted homemade and the filled donuts were awesome. Will be stopping in if we're ever close by again!
This is a review of daylight donuts as a whole (pun intended). The food I would give a minimum of 9 out of 10. However, the drive through is a mess, and in my opinion, inexcusable for such an established business. They are staffed with a crew capable of handling their customers, but the fact that the customer can't even place an order until they are at the window means that you will have incredibly long wait times in the drive-thru. Terrible service. My husband and I arrived in the drive through at 10:00 am and the 10:30 came and then I jumped out went inside and ordered. I ordered a Long john and 2 chochlate donuts and one glazed donut. The lady at the counter said she was half asleep.. When I finally had my order at 10:55 I reached into my bag and the chochlate on the Long john saturated the bag.
I cant rate this place high enough, I love this shop...and they are the best people around. We love their donuts and they remember exactly how I like my coffee. Btw they have great coffee too. Theyve become freinds, and part of our lives...the friendly sweet faces...always loving always greeting with a smile. Doesnt hurt that the donuts are so fresh and so fluffy. I really wasn't impressed. Maybe it's because I grew up around great bakeries and doughnut shops. There were flies in the donut display case. The boudin kolache is not something I will ever get from them again, but it wasn't bad. My friend Taylor purchased a dozen donut holes. In n Out donuts is in a better location in Ruston, and their doughnuts are softer, although overly sugary. Maybe Daylight Donuts had an off day, today. Either way, I'll stick to the donuts I grew up around in the New Orleans area. I r
Very nice people you couldn't ask for any better people. However when you come expect long lines and expect to wait a while. They need to figure out how to get the lines going quicker
I never had the Ruston location's Daylight Donuts but I would like for Daylight Donuts to bring back one in West Monroe. Best donuts ever.
Daylight Donuts got me spoiled. Every single time I visit another donut shop anywhere, I get angry. Daylight Donuts has glaze and frosting almost everywhere on theirs. Other shops are stingy with their glaze and frosting. Trust me. Go to Daylight Donuts.
All of their breakfast treats are delicious. All the staff are very gracious.

Not the best donuts. You will HAVE to have a drink with your donuts. The glaze on the donuts is very gritty and will choke you. But the serve was very good.

I grew up on Southern Maid Donuts and Daylight Donuts are the closest and best tasting donuts I've found to Southern Maid. Be sure to ask for hot ones, they are the best!
