This review is for anyone not from this region hoping to get their Daylight Donut fix from an edge of market location. This is not the donut you seek. The yeast glazed donut from this location was only slightly better than a Walmart glazed donut and not a true Daylight Donut style donut. The dough flavor tasted like the brand but the process to create them went wrong somewhere creating a very not-Daylight Donut texture. This glazed donut almost seemed baked. Don't let the name fool you-- Daylight Donuts has some of the best pizza in Columbus! Everything is made from scratch and the crust is perfect. Definitely try the maklouba (crust on top and bottom) and add harissa if you like spicy food. My friends from Algeria all say the pizza here tastes just like home. I went around 10:15am on a Friday and they were almost completely cleared out and the donuts and bagel I got were not fresh. First and last time here. I stopped in on my way to work after placing a pickup order online shortly after they opened. When I arrived, it wasn't ready. I thought they may have been busy, but the only person there said, "no one told them an online order came in" (??). Headed out for a little snack for breakfast this morning at Daylight Donuts and Cafe in Hilliard. I ordered a Chocolate Cream Horn and a Raspberry filled donut. The business has a small area for sitting down and having coffee if you want. There is a great family owned donut shop called The lil Donut shop only 2 minutes from here that sells way better donuts at cheaper prices. Disappointed with the quality and couldn?t believe the prices they were charging.

We enjoyed this cafe, it is spacious, with indoors and outdoors seating. Lots of donut options, and savory too. Kosher/halal options available too. I tried the roast beef sandwich it was delicious, my daughter loved her grilled cheese sandwich. The area is nice and easy to find parking. The service is good, the server was very helpful.

We just had a simple order, two glazed donuts two iced lattes. We had to repeat ourselves over and over. There must have been a language barrier I?m guessing, but we did not feel welcome to be there, even though it was not busy when we came, basically empty. I got there about 9:45 on a Friday morning and they were basically out of everything. I tried an apple fritter after seeing the reviews and was disappointed. It was fine, but I?ve definitely had better. I asked for a glaze twist and got a sugar coated twist instead. It was very dry and the only real flavor was from the oil, which wasn?t pleasant. For the price, the donuts were not as good as they should have been. Cherry fritter was dry, partially burnt on one side and utterly tasteless inside. Long John creme stick had almost no cream in it or icing on it. Blueberry donut was the fake candy blueberry flavor you get from kid's candy and gave me heartburn all night long. We thew the rest out without even trying them. Donuts looked delicious, but I'll stick to Lil Donut factory from now on.

The gentleman who helped me was very kind. I ordered a croissant (DELICIOUS, soft and flaky) and a baklava cappuccino. I'm not lying when I say that's one of the best coffees I have ordered in years. It took a little longer than if you were to to through a drive thru somewhere else (can only walk in, to my knowledge) but it was a cute little place. I'd definitely go back.

Daylight Donuts has the best fritters for years, and lately their donuts have become the best too --like by far IMHO. Best donuts in Hilliard, hands down! Great staff, great product. The highlights are the Pinecone (dont ask...go get one!), the Bavarian cream, and one of their staples: the Buckeye donut (pictured). My daughter and I stopped in after a driving class down the street since we passed this place to and from. It's a great little donut shop. We got there later in the day so the selection was limited but we loved what we got and we had breakfast for the next morning. The shop has setting inside and seems to be a popular place. I picked up my order and when I got home I realized my order was wrong. Also, the glazed donuts that are usually so light and airy were crispy on the bottom and had an abundance of oil and glaze soaked into them. All in all just not the experience I was expecting.

The donuts are amazing, as well as the bagels, breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Everything was very fresh. However, make sure you come EARLY if there are certain donuts you want. When I came at 10am on a Saturday, they were sold out of almost everything and they don?t make more once they?re gone (they close at two). Not only is it under new management but it has a new menu with a variety of selections, a new attitude because the staff seem friendlier. Because I'm a vegan, I love, love, love the spinach role.
