Dank Donuts

Dank Donuts

Reviews Summary

Dank Donuts is highly praised for its exceptional donuts, particularly the cronut, blueberry cake donut, and gluten-free options. The shop's unique offerings like breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and vegan items also receive strong acclaim. Customers love the friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and outdoor seating. While most reviews are glowing, a few note occasional sell-outs of popular items and slightly high prices compared to competitors. The Apple Fritter and gluten-free selections occasionally face consistency issues, but overall, Dank Donuts stands out as a must-visit spot in Big Bear for quality treats and great service.

Wonderful experience! We arrived a bit later in the day, but still managed to snag some old fashioned, strawberry, blueberry, vegan coconut flake, and vegan crumb donuts! Very soft and flavorful, and the old fashioned was softer on the edges but still crispy and delightful! Lovely service, and plenty of outdoor shaded seating as well! Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Get there early to make sure you get what you want!

This is a much-needed gem in the new strip corridor, conveniently located right next to the golf course. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant. It?s a beautiful spot with incredible views of the green pine trees, making it a perfect place to unwind after a morning run or simply enjoy a relaxing morning out. The space is thoughtfully designed with plenty of outdoor seating, making it ideal for groups, families, or even a quiet solo visit. Whether you want to enjoy your meal u

Finally, after three prior attempts on two different trips we were able to be there when the business was open, and we are glad we did not give up. Absolutely a wonderful selection of delicious donuts and they even serve hot and cold sandwiches. The staff members were simply the best, very friendly, helpful and service with a smile. While there is no place to sit inside there are plenty of tables and chairs to sit outside at, both covered and uncovered sitting areas. There is parking along Moonridge Roa

So cute!! Great local donut shop! They have some gluten free mini donut options, some vegan options, and the classics for everyone else. Server was so nice. I got 3 mini gluten free donuts for $6, two maple and one vanilla sprinkle, and they were great! No inside seating but it's very cute. There's a lot of nice outdoor seating. Kid friendly. Would come back!

Dank Donuts is such a cute spot in big bear! The decor + vibe are great?very chill and cool. Menu includes a wide variety of things (not just donuts; breakfast food too!). Would recommend!

Amazing cronuts! I love that they have doggie donuts, my dog loved it. The shop is beautifully decorated with multi colored accents on the picket fence surrounding the cute shop.

So cute, lots of great salty and sweet options! Lots of outdoor seating. Gluten free options.

Donuts are beyond mid! The taste is off overall frosting taste straight from the can. dough is cheap almost vegan prices threw the roof like a over priced barber or mechanic.

Dank donuts is definitely dank. Suggest getting the Cronut?glazed perfectly and flaky. Must stop when in Big Bear

Some of the best donuts I've ever had. The blueberry cake donut was a hit. The employees were ready to help us when we walked in and were friendly! The outdoor seating area is spacious which is perfect for larger groups.

Never have I ever had a donut tasting experience as good as this! So good. Vegan option are plentiful. There?s putt-putt in the back to make it a good spot for a date. Come grab a donut (or three) and get your day off to a doughy start!

Dare I say it this place might have the best donuts on the face of the planet. But I'm not comparing to the Midwest, or some donut starved hometown, im born and raised in Southern California, the land to the best donuts. This place is freaking amazing. Just eat as many of their donuts as you can before you die. ??

Best donut ive had in awhile honestly. Ill definitely be back soon.

Really good spot! They also have salty options and gluten free!

So hard to find good gluten free donuts, Dank Donuts has a fantastic recipe! So yummy and the gluten free dough is moist.

Dank Doughnuts has officially become our favorite stop in Big Bear! My wife and I went with friends and loved it so much, we came back again within 24 hours. The Cro-Nut (their fun twist on a croissant-donut) was unbelievably delicious?crispy, flaky, and just the right amount of sweet. We were also impressed with the vegan and gluten-free options, which were a big hit with our group. The avocado toast was a perfect, fresh way to start the morning, and the coffee? Hot, flavorful, and way more affordable than

Great local spot that accommodates all! Vegans, GFs, and Cronut lovers rejoice?they have something for you! Personally, I go for the strawberry cake when it's available. Also, bring your dog and treat them, too! Lastly, the food is excellent, quick, and affordable! Some of the other misleading reviews may not be taking into account that this is the highest donut shop in the country, sitting at 6800?. Don't hate, eat DANK!

They Have the best doughnuts I've ever tasted. I traveled the Southern California region quite a bit for 30 years, and I'm not. kidding you. It's worth your time to go check this out the. flavors they put in it are extreme. And when they put the frostings on the top of the doughnuts and other goodies, it's also extreme. It's amazing. Check this place out.

I got the Apple Critter, it was the best I?ve ever had. I actually had a dream about it which is what prompted this review. The service is amazing, they have mouth watering donuts, even donuts for dogs. gluten free/vegan. Absolutely loved it

Cold brew was very good Gluten free mini donuts were ok. The dough was good for gluten free but I didn?t like the top part of maple and pineapple. The cinnamon donut was good (not too sweet) Prices are very reasonable and there is plenty of space outside to seat

Not only is this shop in a great location, it is an absolute delight to visit! The shop has plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating, is well lit and decorated, and such a cozy little spot to sit and enjoy treats with friends! There is a giant connect 4 game outside for the restless. They also have snacks/candy. They have other food items besides donuts, and even gluten free donuts! The owners are super friendly and work very hard every day to keep up their supply and provide excellent service. They have g

Update! They?re now offering daily deli sandwiches and a killer taco Tuesday (May 28 to September 3rd) 4-8pm! The taco menu is classic, the flavors are authentic and the price can?t be beat. Pair it with their michelada for a perfect summer night. We tried the asada, pastor and quesadilla! ?- This spot ranks high on my list of favorites! An elevated take on classic treats, their donuts are made with a lofty raised dough and coated in quality icings and sprinkles. The savory offerings are just as delicious,

We tried Dank Donuts today for the first time while visiting Big Bear. They were amazing! The employee at the front was very friendly and helpful. My daughter had the gluten free donuts which she said were the best gluten free donuts she's ever had. They're mini cake donuts with various toppings and flavors. We also tried the pineapple fritter (which was huge!) , a regular apple fritter (also huge!), a Bavarian cream filled, and a few other cake donuts. They all tasted fresh and delicious! I highly recommen

The vegan donuts were a bit dry but otherwise good. My family loved their sandwiches! No oat milk, but they do offer almond milk. It's an adorable shop and the staff were friendly.

We got a few things from here the Cinnamon Roll although huge is actually just a giant regular donut. I was a little disappointed as I was expecting it to be different inside. It wasn?t that good but I think for a kid they?d love it. Also the cream cheese croissant was alright. I?d maybe come back if I had the kids with me.

The donuts are really good and the atmosphere in the store is super cute. Definitely check out Dank Donuts when you?re in big bear.

Gluten free donuts were delicious! The maple flavor was my favorite. My son had the chocolate sprinkles and he was very pleased.

The two people behind the counter were really welcoming and helpful. The croissants were flaky and the fillings were delicious. We also got a bear claw that I personally would have liked more filling but it was still really good. Has outdoor seating. Croissants pictures is half eaten, I was hungry!

Stopped here for breakfast prior to heading for the zoo a few blocks away. Besides donuts, you can also get breakfast sandwiches, burritos and bagels. The burrito and bagels were tasty and we ate them at the covered seating outside the store. We ate the donuts later and all choices were good (pineapple fritter was huge). Place was busy in the morning but service was quick.

Vegan chocolate donut with sprinkles is so good? my toddler stole half of it! He liked his chocolate covered yeast donut too. The vegan donut with coconut and lemon was also excellent. Mona the tripawd enjoyed her dog donut!

Enjoyed the donuts but we ordered a couple sandwiches and they are sad and pathetic. Teeny tiny single slice of meat, hard bread. Not worth the $15/each+tax+tip. Better off getting a burger on the mountain for cheaper

Dang. I guess I must be old because I have not purchased a donut for over 10 years now when they were 99 cents each. How on earth a donut has gotten this expensive is beyond me, but we decided to give this place a try regardless. I can't say the donuts were spectacular as we typically don't buy overpriced junk food, but they were good. We both totally got a stomach ache and felt like crap the rest of the day after eating them because all of the sugar, but they were tasty.

The following review might have just been bad luck but I find it hard to rate any higher. The breakfast burrito (pictured) was VERY bland and the side sauce helped A LOT but you aren't given enough to douse the entire burrito (shouldn't have to anyway). + there was little to no bacon in the ?? and the tortilla was super soggy (seems to be premade for the entire day and I went at 3 so that could be my fault). I also got a hot chocolate which was extremely watery and therefore horrible to sip on (only decent

Loved the name and the person behind the counter was super friendly, however we?ve never before had to utter the words ?that?s way too sweet? but we did after trying their cronut. We also got the breakfast burrito which was packed with potato if you like that type of thing. The jelly donut was decent but nothing special. Finally the apple critter was huge and novel, being made of croissant dough. It had a very light apple flavor. We also got their dog donut for our pooch and he loved it. Untried by us were

Donuts were amazing, the Nugs were great, but they were sold out of the Blueberry donut and Nugs on Sunday at 10am ??

The Blueberry donut. The. Blueberry. Donut. I gotta get one every time and it?s my fave to gift when I come back down the hill. Everyone loves it! Today?s seasonal pumpkin crumb cake donut was on point and paired nicely with the cali creamin? vanilla ale on tap *chefs kiss

We found this place after going on a hike out in Big Bear. All the donuts were amazing. I got as many of the vegan donuts as I could justify eating by myself, and my friends got the regular donuts. We all loved them! Mine were amaretto frosting, maple, crumb and strawberry. I also got the veggie banh mi rice bowl which was delish. Will definitely be going back next time we go to Big Bear

Fresh and delicious donuts! Got a great assortment on our way into town and looking forward to great snacking!

Great spot with gluten-free and vegan options! There is a large outdoor patio; indoors there is a small table, along with a large sofa. Breakfast burritos appear to be pre-made, and include a vegetarian option which was delicious, as was the fresh coffee.

The food here is disappointing. The only good thing was the blueberry donut. The breakfast burrito and sandwiches are awful. I don't recommend

Kind folks. Quirky, DIY-feeling spot worth supporting. Good coffee. Suuuuuper tasty donuts; the texture is what sets them apart! Crunchy glazed exterior with a super moist interior. Wow. Dig this joint!

Delicious donuts and more! The donuts are a plentiful and super yum! They also have other delicious stuff like breakfast burritos etc.

Not sure what happened between last year and this year (2025) but there are only 3 types of Gluten Free donuts now compared to 6 in previous years. The Apple Fritter I bought was raw on the inside. Need to drive back for a refund. The cashier didn't even seem concerned but offered a replacement, I just asked for a refund with was no problem.

Great vibes in here, loved the donuts and hibiscus tea. I'm sad I live far from here but will definitely come back when I'm in Big Bear

Great Doughnuts and Sandwich's! Friendly staff and a must visit spot when you come up to Big Bear! Cheers, Collin M.

Best donuts ever. I tried them at my cousins cabin in big bear. Highly recommend them !

Fantastic donuts! I love the pink frosted, and the white frosted old fashioned. The small gluten free donuts are VERY rich, but also pretty tasty! The "Apple critter" is also really amazing, but again, very rich. You could easily split it with someone!

Smaller line than the other coffee place when I went on Sunday late morning. Super chill atmosphere with a great play list, good coffee (check out the the house sweet cream maple/vanilla), good donuts, they have their own canned cocktails!

Cool little donut spot in Big Bear. They didn't have much selection but was able to try each of what was left. Overall it was alright, could of been dankier. Got some free stickers by just asking at cashier.

God came down and blessed us with these donuts

Great spot for donuts in Big Bear - cute shop, great variety of donuts, and plenty of seats outside. Friendly service. Will be back for the donut holes and cronuts ?

Have a small selection of gluten free donuts. Cannot guarantee no cross contamination but I wanted to try and glad I did. The maple flavor was my favorite! And they had can wine which I?ve never seen before- not your common combination but when on vacation I go outside my comfort zone. The traditional donuts looked delicious. I recommend this place is worth a visit and it?s on the way to the zoo if you?re in the area.

cake like donuts that are not just the best in big bear but the best in cali, PERIOD. only place that rivals these donuts is holy grail in larchmont.

Walked in and the staff was super nice. Patient, kind, and allowed our pup to enter as well. For a damn good breakfast burrito made with tater tots, and they don't skimp on the bacon. Salsa is bomb. Must have at least 2 for every burrito. Now for a donut shop to have breakfast burritos I was sceptical about the donuts. I was blown away. Boston cream was amazing, blueberry to die for, and don't get me started on the pink topped filled with vanilla and chocolate. But nothing comes close to how good there cron

A little small inside but that was the only issue. Staff was friendly and quick, donuts were fantastic, and outside seating had a nice view.

Super nice people and tasty sandwiches. They gave us a fresh donut for free! We came here two days in a row

Decent coffee dank donuts dynamite sandwiches!!!

Their blueberry donut was excellent. I was really bummed I didn't make it in time for their apple fritter because it looked amazing. They said it sold out by 9 AM! So definitely come early if you want some of their specialty items. Their cold brew was pretty average though so I do recommend going elsewhere for coffee.

The donuts were amazing, but the food was very good too!

Super nice staff and delicious food! Highly recommend the classic rounds and breakfast burrito!

Dank Donuts is great they have lots of options from breakfast food to donuts. This is a great option to go by if you want a breakfast sandwich in the morning or craving a random donut. The only reason I don't give a 5 star rating is the donuts are kind of overpriced especially when compared to nearby OJs Donuts which is a local donut shop. The staff at Dank Donuts is excellent all of my interactions with them have been good. This is definitely one of the gems of the Moonridge area.

The donuts delicious ppl friendliness burritos delicious highly recommended

My experience was fantastic. The food was great and the service was friendly and fast. Would recommend

My wife picked up some donuts on a Monday. She then drove 168 miles back home and had some leftover. They're awesome! I'm eating the last one 4 days later and it still tastes fresh and delicious.

I have been to over 200 donut shops in the last ten years (many of them multiple times), and Dank Donuts ranks at the top of the list. Their Blueberry Cake donut is hands down the very best cake donut I?ve ever eaten. Incredible flavor and perfect texture?I was blown away to find such a treasure in a such small remote place. 10/10, I will be coming in EVERY time I visit big bear. They were so good. Don?t miss this gem of a donut shop.

Bought a chocolate donut and a large iced coffee. Everything was pretty tasty, was hoping the iced coffee would of been larger. But other than that chill spot with tasty treats.

Really loved the blueberry cake donut. Make sure to get here early for the pineapple fritter!

These doughnuts are insanely rich and dense, but delicious! The texture is a bit different than a normal doughnut - much more moist and cake-like - but there are also "old fashioned" varieties with a more traditional texture if you're not into that! The patio is large, and covered, with lots of tables available. They are not only dog-friendly, but dog encouraging - they have a whole pup menu!

Blueberry donut was amazing. Apple fritters were huge. Delicious little gem in Big Bear.

My wife and I love the Pineapple Fritter!

10/10 donuts and 10/10 service, the donuts were DELICIOUS. The donut is so soft and it literally melts in your mouth. I have never had such kind service before, right when we walked in there were smiles everywhere and they were so sweet to us and were patient all the way! If you past by Bear Mountain stop by this donut place because its so good!

These are the best donuts I have ever had. It's not even close. In reality, it's a good thing that they don't have a location where I live, because I would weigh twice what I do now. Service was on point too!

Was looking up places to eat this morning and this popped up. I saw they make these breakfast burrito with Egg,Cheese, Bacon, Tater Tots with a side of fresh homemade salsa and got iced chai. They have a variety of donuts also. Check out there website

I will dream about the blueberry donut ???????

Extremely nice place. Staff was very friendly and the food was great. They have not only donuts but burritos, ramen, and gluten free and vegan options. The prices were great for their quality of food. I'd definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back here.

A friend told us about Dank Donuts and how they serve beer too and that it was a happening place. I had such high hopes and was really excited. Unfortunately our experience wasn't what we expected. They had maybe only three types of donuts and the beer selection was in cans I envisioned in my head an exciting array of donuts and more of a gastro-donut-pub but this was just a small shop with a fridge of beer. There was no vibe at all and we were the only people at the place. Granted the shop is located in a

This should be top of your list when visiting Big Bear! The vegan cinnamon cake donuts ??

Best donuts EVER. Don?t miss out!!! The cronut alone is a game changer. Each one was better than the next! The blueberry is a must have, along with the cronut as mentioned. Wish we were local to Dank Donuts, we would surely be regulars. Worth every penny and calorie!

The Gluten Free donuts are tiny (probably a good thing) - they are cake with frosting. Still have yet to find a real donut that?s GF. Oh well ?? everything non-GF looked amazing.

Great donut spot! Excellent value for money and a chill spot to hang out after or before hitting the slopes.

An odd little place which is still seemingly deciding what other things they can offer. Felt thrown together. THe doughnuts were ok. Nothing that stood out.

Dank Donuts is delicious! Everything is fresh from the coffee to the baked goods. The prices are decent but can get expensive but totally worth it! I?ll definitely be coming back!

Delicious donuts in a cool atmosphere. The cold brew was just what I needed for the drive home!

Great service staff and atmosphere. The donoughts were amazing, and the cold brewed coffee was plenty strong enough to jump start the morning into high gear for whatever your adventures are up at Big Bear Lake.

My son and his friend bought two dozen donuts yesterday morning at 9:00 a.m. I've never had such bad donuts in my life. They were crunchy, dry, overly sweet and most of all disappointing.

Love it here! How are the breakfast sandwiches so delicious and ready in like a minute? The croissant sandwich is also nicely flattened so it?s very easy to eat and you don?t get the crumbly flakes everywhere. We also loved the apple critter (a huge apple fritter but made with croissant dough) and the vegan crumb donut. Dank.

Dank Donuts always delivers! The donuts are fresh, tasty, and the service is friendly. Stopping in for a treat is always a must when we're up in Big Bear.

First time here. Love the atmosphere and donut is amazing.
