It is a nice store . It is clean and well maintained. They have a wide variety of food items. There is seafood and fresh meat counters . They have produce and baked goods. There is a frozen section . They household items. There is alcohol too . The staff was friendly and helpful. I would go there again and I recommend them .
Great little store! Very clean and well stocked. Awesome employees all the time.
Went in today to grab a few items real quick. Selected my items and was at the self check out within 6 minutes. Scanned and bagged my items till the last item was rejected because of bar code being not in the system. I stood there for 6 minutes before one of the cashiers noticed the light flashing and that fine I understand they are busy but she yelled down to me that she will be right there to help me while finishing checking out the customer she was with and that is also fine. My issue is she then started
Like a Hannaford you will always find most of what you need. Some specialty groceries may be an issue, but the basics will be there.
Nice little Grocery Store. Well stocked. Cashier .. really needs to be trained/ retrained on customer service. No smile, no pleasantries, no thank you. I?ve got to stop being the ? one? to ? Thank? the business I am patronizing. Know one needs your fake grunt as a greeting. Don?t like your job find a new one.
On the pricey side. It was clean, organized, and well-stocked. The employees were helpful and welcoming.
Just an all around great "little town " super market. You can get just about everything you need. The prices are fair. The stock and selection are good. The best part is the employees. You get to know the people that work there and they get to know you. They know little things like how you like your items bagged, and that your husband likes fruit pies , and you like devil dogs. They also know a little about your life, kids names, pet names, if your married or not, what you do for work, and some of them kno
Pretty decent small town grocery store. Prices are typically at least 10% more than the larger grocery stores. I'm not sure why, but the front of the store has a lingering bad meat smell. Some days it is pretty unpleasant. Update April 2023: They have resolved the bad smell, and their prices have steadied, so I'm moving them to 5 stars.
Prices are comparable to Hannaford. Store is clean. Only reason I scored mediocre is because I have been there very few times in my life and the staff was not very eager to help me find what I was looking for. Good to great takes the customer to exactly where the item is on the shelf not telling someone you THINK it might be in aisle 5. Know your store and have good knowledge of products and layout so you can help customers without losing much time so you get back to what you are doing quickly.
Employees are friendly, location is convenient. The prices are definitely a little higher than if you went to a Hannaford. The biggest downfall is that their produce tends to go bad fast. It's not always, and maybe it's just my luck, but it seems every 2 to 3 shopping trips I end up with one produce item that goes bad faster than it should have. Otherwise they've got a good selection for such a small store, you really won't need to go anywhere else for things. They've even got a pharmacy in there as well.
I love this store. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Very convenient to my house. Be careful in the parking lot. Since Dunkin Donuts moved to their own building the parking lot is scary. There isn't any stop signs or arrows and people don't know who has the right of way.
Loved this grocery store. It is small, but don't let that fool you, they have a wide variety of groceries and their fruits and vegetables are fresh. Have a good variety of meats and seafood. Employees are always nice and management is very customer oriented
Great little supermarket for either your full shopping trip or just to pick up last minute dinner items. The staff is friendly and the prices are the same as some of their bigger competition in Bangor. The produce is nice and fresh and they frequently have markdowns in the meat department that are great for stocking your freezer or having a last minute bbq.
Danforth's employees are very welcoming and what you'd expect from a small town store. The grocery selection is not what you'd expect from a major grocery chain, but they have all the essentials you need. The store is small enough to navigate through quickly and they have plenty of check out lines, so waiting for a cashier is never an issue. The deli and meat dept are well stocked and affordably priced (not what you'd expect from a small town store) and the service is 5 star. If you are looking for specialt
Nearby in Hermon. Great selection of Hanaford products. Friendly, helpful staff
So I went in yesterday, I'm not sick, no cough, no itchy throat.. I was HARRASSED because I can't wear a mask medically.. They choose WHICH mandates to enforce, blatantly violating my personal space to hand me something the CDC even says doesn't work! I bring my own mask and wear it when I can.. I do NOT suggest shopping here if you want a safe shopping experience.
Very friendly people and a clean store. But down fall is that their utility machine has been down over a month. Have to travel to Corinth to pay a bill. They don't act like they are going to fix it. Since they merged with Hannaford they don't care about the people like Hannafords don't either. I don't like paying on line. Too many hackings on line now a days. I will have do business with Tradewinds in Corinth from now on.
It is an average grocery store assortment wise. Had tried to charge me a full price for items on sale on multiple occasions in the past... Recently, it seems like it has not been happening. Btw, nobody ever apologized for their errors at the customer service desk.
Pleasant small store with nice selection. Happy to find Hannaford brand there. Enjoying the Lobster salad club sandwich as a special treat.
Danforth's is a great local grocery store that is perfect when you just need a few things. I do not get full blown groceries there as their produce section is nothing special and they do not have a great selection of organic products.
Danforths produce sucks. Try to buy green and red peppers. They are all wrinkled before you buy them. Potatoes go bad within a week if not before. Went to get onions today and there were even some bags with rotten ones in them. I can't believe workers can't smell the rotten onions. We don't buy meat anymore because it goes bad within 2 days. We brought in 1 of 2 packages of hamburger we bought that had turned all brown and nasty. The other one was red. The meat dept. manager didn't want to take it back. He
It's a small grocery store. Not much produce but clean & perfect if u need to run in & grab a item quick
Great grocery store, worth the little trip out of my way. The prices aren't jacked like other small grocery stores around here, and they sell brie.
Always friendly service and they almost always have what I need, and when they don't they try to get it. The managers are approachable and the facility is clean and well stocked.
Decent stock and the employees are very nice. I always enjoy going in there. My family and I always feel welcome.
I hate this store. In fact I avoid it at all cost. I only stop if I need that one item I forgot out in town. And then only if its absolutely necessary. Over priced for ever so sad looking produce.
Love them! Friendly and great deals on clearance meat! I go here at least 4 times a week.
Love this store! The customers are amazing and so are my co-workers. Could not ask for a better place work!!!
Convenient, friendly staff and clean store. The only thing that could use a some help is pricing. A bit high compared to larger Hannaford stores.
Great to have a place so close very nice home town store just like the name
Nice store friendly service have had some not so good produce but store always made it right
Great store. Small town grocery meets big chain. Service, quality and selection all are excellent!
A good local store in Hermon, limited selection especially in comparison to stores in Bangor. Good people and same products and pricing as surrounding Hannaford locations.
Love the quaint atmoshere...definitely down home...there isn't as many varieties of items...however you can find anything you'd need here without the congestion of main stream supermarkets;)
I love this store it has reasonable prices with a vary good staff they always great me with a smile and the lines are always short
Convenient and prices are competitive with other grocery stores... Pretty good selection for a smaller grocery store, and people are very friendly too
It's great for last minuete shopping when passing through a small historical town filled with eyecatching small shops, bakery and donut shops, churches like the the Apostolic church on Washington Street. Danforths Down Home SuperMarket is located in Bath Maine. Home of Shipbuilders!
Great prices and friendly staff
Very nice store. Small but it has a little of everything. I'll stop everytime I am going to Bangor.
It's a nice little grocery store. Locally owned (not a Hannaford's) and the workers are very friendly.
The staff is really friendly and nice. It's always a great experience coming here.
Nice employees, clean store, but prices are higher than your competitors.
Local and convenient, saves a trip to Bangor. Has a great selection of quality foods and produce. Run by Hannaford's.
Very clean and nice....prices are fair...nice little home town store
Was very helpful everything was right where you could get it I would shop there again no problem
Love this place. Has a little bit of everything. Friendly people that work there too.
Cashier's are friendly, prices a comparable to the bigger grocery stores
Krystal Whitney is the greatest cashier because when I went through she made me feel so comfortable
Awesome store setup nice very easy to find things and great customer service ty danforths
Excellent customer service andhas a great diversity of products, specially beer and liquor.
Very neat and clean. Prices were comparable. Local products
Best local grocery store for your cooking needs.
Sort of a Hamnaford lite. Not the same selection, but good for smaller shopping trips. A bit of a small town feel.
Local and friendly staff. Plus the Maine Scoop Dairy Shop has amazing flavors.
Good deals on meats, nice clean store. Not the most friendliest employees
Great store to go. Friendly workers and easily accessible.
Good place to shop good pieces on Hamburg. Big store for little town live it.
A bit pricey, but a quick stop to pick up items
Great place to do grocery shopping. Awesome staff.

We go here every chance we get. Great place to shop
Very friendly small town grocery store. Has very comparable prices to the grocery stores in the city of bangor.
Great community friendly grocery. Hate they joined the Hannaford horde. Good meats.
A great place to go and shop deals. Great meat selection!
Has ALMOST everything you need from the grocery store. Very convenient for where we live
Great coustmer service and nice staff 10 out of 5 stars
What's not to like? Good location, decent prices and reliably fresh produce.
Very clean store. Easy in easy out shopping no hassle.
Convenient being close to house. Produce doesn't last long and a lot of items sell out.
Everything flows right from produce all around employees very nice

Great small town, family run grocery store with Hannaford products.
Clean easy shopping and when I hit just right they have great markdowns

Super friendly small-town grocery! Love these guys!
Great selection! Easy to find everything! Clean!
Great small supermarket. Always helps to have a Dunkin donuts inside
Very rude and lazy cashiers, and they really must not care about the employees appearance.
good prices, decent selection, friendly service
Little confusing on where to find certain items but very supplied items, and very clean store
Its convenient, has everything I need and the people are great.
