Dainty donuts, a replica of what could have been. Ever since the ownership change and take over of Great Donuts, it?s become clear that great has left more than just the name of this shop. The donuts have caused disappointment amongst my nieces and nephews. The glaze is nothing more than a dusting and the donuts leave a lot to be desired. Dainty donuts - do better!!!
Decent doughnuts but horribly overpriced. For 3 doughnuts, I paid around $8. They weren?t really special doughnuts either. For the quality compared to the price, it?s too expensive. Shame considering we live so close.
This review is for a DoorDash order. I didn't know I was ordering close to their closing time and so various donuts I ordered were out. They called me to offer alternative options. The owner even glazed some with strawberry for me even though they were out. and when the order arrived I even got some bonus donut holes! Excellent service. Happy donut lover
First, we have been coming to Dainty at least 5+ years, not regulars, but on occasion. *** PSA*** Customers with allergies (e.g. nuts) - once you mention your allergy concerns to the employee, BE VERY OBSERVANT on how the he handles cross contamination. First, our guy (young) did not know how to handle our request to keep one of the donuts away from nuts. He did not know what to do. Once his co-worker advised him to get a clean tong from behind, he was careless about cross contaminating... and unapologetic
Dainty Donuts Has to be one of the best donut experiences in my life, especially their jelly filled donuts. They?re so huge and filled with so much jelly!!! This has to be one of the top donut places for me. They have won me over I?m never going to another donut shop. I live in Sacramento and I will drive the hour and a half just to get a dozen donuts from them.
I stopped in to get two donuts and they end up costing me $1.90 each. That's 3.80 for 2 donuts. Just after the pandemic they were $1.75 and before that they were under a dollar.. .99 cents a donut at Safeway.

Pretty good place, been there quite a few times. They have a nice selection of donuts, the usual stuff. Coffee is pretty good, not the best in earth but pretty good for a donut shop Open early, which is a plus if you're heading in a road trip. Nice people -both customers and people working there. Nice atmosphere, no complaints.

Honestly the best doughnut I've had! It was soft and fresh, I didn't want it to end! Plus they have a wide selection of tea which is quite hard to find (even at certain expensive chains). 10/10 highly recommend.
Have been coming to this place for a little while now. Really delicious doughnuts with just the right texture. Coffee is surprisingly good (strong, not watery). Great no nonsense doughnut shop. Happy to recommend!
Apple fritter was huge and quite delicious. I walked with it my bag for like 3 miles in the heat and it travels surprisingly well, I appreciate that in a pastry.

I generallypost if something is great or garbage. Since I didn't review previously, must have been alright. I'm not changing the number of stars either - out of fairness..
We've been going to Dainty for 17 years. I'm sorry to say lately it has been hit or miss. This morning was huge miss. The donuts were not up to their usual quality. Notice their getting smaller too. Hope they improve.
This donut shop had a excellent selection of donut and pastries. Not only did they have the traditional donuts, but they also had a variety of pastries that complemented their selection.
There was approximately half a teaspoon of jelly in my jelly fill

Picked up a box of donuts for my office suite and everyone enjoyed them. Unfortunately I did not get to try one myself. Placed the box on the counter and ran out for a few minutes. When I returned there was nothing left. I will be back!

If you are ordering dozen mixed pick the donuts yourself or she will pick out all the small ones for you. Price is going up and size of donut is getting smaller.
