This place is top tier and I love a Christian based family business. I love that their donut shop offers delicious and fresh donuts in a beautiful setting. Their donuts are made with the highest quality ingredients and probably the second best donuts I?ve ever had (I?m from Texas, so Shipleys is number one). They sell coffee too but I didn?t try it. I?d visit Dads Donuts place again God willing!
We stopped into Dad's Donuts for a weekend breakfast treat. A word of advice- get there early because these donuts sell fast! These aren't just your every day run-of-the-mill donuts though, each pastry is made of 109 light and flaky layers with a sugar coating all kinds of sweet fillings and toppings! These donuts are really special and unique to anything else we've seen in town so far. Everyone that helped us there was genuinely friendly and the donuts and coffee were fresh and delicious. We loved the litt
If you love the hybrid donut and a croissant also called a Croinut you will love this place. We ordered a smore, Nutella, chocolate and caramel and they were all highly rated. I?m not sure if they warm the donuts but if you have a chance to warm these, they?re amazing. The people working here were very kind as well. Tho be prepared because these donuts will leave your hands STICKY
Delicious and worth it as a treat. 6 donuts will run you about $30 depending on what you get. The coconut filled is out of this world and very filling. Topped with toasted coconut and a lightly sweetened filling and a hint of salt to set it over the top. Lemon glazed has a fresh lemon taste to it, S?mores was devoured by my child. Plenty of flavors to choose from and a very friendly staff.
Dad?s donuts are even better than they look and last half as long as you would wish. The staff are kind and responsive and genuinely care about their customers. They made a special pot of decaf coffee just for me and checked to see if I needed refills. I highly recommend becoming a regular.
Very tasty doughnuts. Great friendly and smiley staff. I had a raspberry and passion fruit, and I could taste the fruit in both. They have seating inside and outside. Coffee was descent too. I can definitely recommend this place
We saw Dad's Donuts on the JStu youtube channel and have been so excited to finally try the Cronuts. We were not disappointed. I have never had such a fresh vibrant berry flavor in an icing like the Raspberry. We were all very pleasantly surprised. I would say even better then I expected. The staff working was so bubbly, friendly and helpful. The whole place was very clean and I loved that they have some designated free parking.
Delicious and unique donuts! The ?layered? method was an amazing experience. Friendly, informative folks (telling me about their technique). I had the Boston cream ? fantastic. I will definitely return.
Dads donuts is a must have snack We tried the lemon, jelly fill with cranberry orange and the cinnamon sugar. All of them fantastic but the sugar one was my fav to taste the concept of a dad donut A box of 3 is on the higher price side for donuts but you have to realize these aren?t really donuts but a gourmet type of donut pastry. Unique and delicious Staff was helpful and kind. Thanks for the descriptions and recommendations. And my fav verse is on the box. We?re also big fans of JSTU. Love both. H
Saw this place on our local TV station talking about new and local businesses opening up. This is our second time visiting, and each visit has been a joy and delight of tasty sensation. I highly recommend the ben-yays with caramel sauce and the vanilla cream, 2 of my favorite options. My kiddos always enjoy the pink raspberry wildberry filled and coconut cream. Great people and awesome service, Dad's Donuts is a nice addition to the downtown food scene.
One of the best if not the best donut places in Colorado Springs! You won't find Donuts like these anywhere else. The flavors are all amazing and we haven't found a donut we don't like yet. The hardest part is not over eating because all of the Donuts are great. The staff is amazing and friendly as well, if you go more than twice they will remember you as well. Highly recommend anytime you are in the Springs.
Stopped into Dad's Donuts. What a lovely treat. The donuts were very tasty. They serve a croissant textured donut. The Vanilla Bean glaze was sweet and creamy without being over sugary. Their hot chocolate was yummy and gives that hot made feel. Don't sleep on this one...Donuts have been revolutionized. Service was excellent as well.
I had a wonderful experience at Dad?s Donuts! The friendly staff, especially the young man who served us, made our visit delightful. His sweet spirit added to the welcoming atmosphere. I love that the donuts are made with non-American flour, which allows me to enjoy them without any stomach issues. The variety of flavors is impressive, and the camping-themed decor is adorable. Overall, the staff is simply lovely, and the donuts are delicious!
First let?s just say WOW amazing customer service. Second, what in the holy donuts?! It?s so so good. It?s such a richness that provides depth and experience but doesn?t overpower making you question your choices. It?s absolutely amazing. I MUST have more. Why have I waited so long for this?! I can?t wait to return.
As a Croissants ?? Fanatic. This Place was right up my alley. The layers are insane. I am not much of a sweets person so my favorite was the Cinnamon Sugar one. Reminds me of my favorite Mexican Churros. Customer Service was great.
It was the first time I have tried a beignet and it was fabulous! They said it comes with chocolate or caramel sauce. They forgot to add my sauce so I can't give a review on that.
Delicious and so fun! These cronuts were so good, soft and fresh. Had a great taste and would highly recommend. It was hard just to pick a few. I wanted to try all of them and will definitely be back to try more.
Dad's donuts is a classic example of trying too hard. They aren't donuts. Lets start there. Don't let the great marketing and cool name fool you. It's best described as a dry layered croissant type baked good with a ton of "other things" on it to distract you from the fact your paying $5 for something that isn't a donut. The best analogy would be if "Dad" bought a 1985 Honda Civic, put some wheels and a spoiler on the back and called it a Corvette. Service was friendly and atmosphere pretty cool. But if you
We absolutely love Dad?s Donuts! Their cronuts and donuts are some of the best we?ve had?always fresh, high-quality, and made with premium ingredients. Yesterday, our family had a special surprise: our two Elf on the Shelf dolls ?brought? home some of Dad?s as an after-school treat. It was such a fun and delicious way to end the day, adding a little extra magic to the holiday season. While the price may be higher than some other donut options, it?s worth it for us because of the quality and flavor. This m
Such a sweet experience! Stopped by for my sister?s bachelorette for a sweet treat and the staff were beyond generous and kind. Let?s not forget that the donut selection was nothing short from stellar! We took home a dozen and each flavor was fun to share with the group. Will stop by again if I ever find myself back in Colorado, and you should too!
Lucky Colorado Springs to have Dad's Donuts around! Amazing mile-high donuts with all sorts of flavors. Kind, thoughtful and present staff. A fun ambiance that your dad will love. This place is perfect for a "treat yourself" moment. Also, one of the owners was pulling quarters from his pocket, checking to make sure anyone who was parked out front wasn?t running out of time on their meter. That?s something only a dad would do. ?? Highly recommend this spot and think it's a delicious addition to COS. ????
Been there three times since first discovering Dad?s Donuts? I bring a ?New Friend? to experience the most AMAZING and Delicious Donut Experience!!! ?Cronuts? are now the ONLY donut I will ever eat!!! And Mary who works there IS the MOST ?divine? person ever!!!! If you?re a coconut fan, enJOY!!! It receives TOP RATING in my book!
Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. The donuts are delicious. We got a dozen, Variety of flavors. Gave 4 ?? simply because even with the 10% discount for purchasing the 12 the total was extremely expensive. $65 for a dozen, plus a soda and small donut hole is just to pricy. Will return for special occasions or treat. But won't be our weekly stop.
Went near to closing time so not much of a selection but that is expected. The maple bacon donut was still fabulous even at the end of the day! Most definitely will visit again earlier in the day to try other flavors. Not a traditional donut which made it even better. Think baklava meets donut and the best of both.
We were staying within walking distance of Dad?s Donuts so we just stopped in one morning. We were blown away! I was not expecting to find a cronuts place in the springs but every flavor we tried was phenomenal. We got 2 on our first visit, and made sure to get 1/2 dozen to take with us when we checked out! When we mentioned we were on our honeymoon they were even kind enough to give us a free monkey bread! Thank you!
Dad?s Donuts is the best donut shop in town! Amazing flavors and unique donuts unlike any other you can find in the Springs.
The smell when you first walk in is intoxicating ?? Jill was super friendly, knowledgeable and the donuts are amazing. Will definitely be back!
We were staying one night in Colorado Springs and looked up donuts for breakfast and Dad?s Donuts caught our eye. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by Mary who so graciously explained the flavors and concept of the process in making these delicious donuts (cronuts). We ordered the peach filled, the toasted coconut cream and two beignets. Everything was very flavorful, we enjoyed them so much we ordered two more flavors for our next leg of our road trip. The restaurant was clean, and sta
The springs is so lucky to have a specialty cronut shop! My visit started with great customer service, I was greeted upon entering and had each section & flavor of cronuts explained. They have a great variety and do seasonal options. The cronuts themselves were excellent, not heavy at all or overly sweet. Will definitely be frequenting and recommending Dad?s Donuts.
Dad's donuts is not a donut shop. It's a pastry shop. I am a donut lover and I am always in search of a good donut. This place did not smell like a donut shop or a pastry store. What they called a donut was a round puff pastry for $5. The pastry I purchased was the lemon drop. It had good flavor but was somewhat hard. I had to use a fork and a knife to cut it. The counter person told me it takes four days to make these donuts and it was like a four day old donut or pastry.
So where to begin?! The Donuts were outstanding!!! I know many people feel they are very expensive, but I feel they are well worth it ??! I felt like I went to In-&-Out! Great food and great service. They were very welcoming and pleasant. Give them a try, we will be returning soon ??
I worked in a bakery for 4 years, these were some of the best donuts I?ve ever had. The consistency of the donuts across all flavors was excellent. The caramel filled donut was my personal favorite. Remember they could have gone a cheaper route if they used artificial ingredients/dyes, etc. I paid for quality and I got that. If you?re able to support small businesses, please do!
These cronuts are some of the most delicous pastries I have ever had the pleasure of tasting! The crispy and sweet layers combined with the donut shape create a delicous and amazing experience. I loved their Boston Cream donut; executed flawlessly with deliciously filled creamy layers. It's a little bit pricey but an excellent choice if you're looking to treat yourself!
Best donuts in Colorado Springs!! Went there for their opening and spent 2 hours making a line and was hella worthy!! These donuts are different from any other typical donut because of their 109 layers of cronut!! ??+?? best combination ever!! Highly recommended!!!
My family and I love this place! Owners and staff are very nice and welcoming! Cronuts and their hot chocolate are absolutely amazing! They always make my daughter so happy and very patient with us every time we order. ?? i wish the best for this place and for them to open up other locations. ??
Sweet new donut shop on the southern side of downtown. It helps to know that these are usually cronuts or the croissant/donut crossover so more like a high end flakey layered pastry in donut form. With that is mind these are absolutely fabulous! They come in a wide variety of flavors -the favorite was the Boston Cream - and while they do a lot of to go business they have tables inside as well as a nice patio. Note there is paid parking but also a limited number of reserved parking spaces in the small lot ne
It pains me to update my review. I had previously had Dads Donuts as 5 stars. Why were they once 5 stars? Very friendly staff, good value for the product, nice merchandise and a feeling of local pride when you go into the store. Why is it being updated and why to 2 stars? Well, part of the reason I emphasized the good value was this. I have to eat gluten free (not a choice, sadly.) When they first opened they were giving 2 gluten free donuts (since they are very small compared to their normal donuts.) I w
Wow! This place is actually the BEST. I don?t even really crave donuts like I do cheese but these donuts are amazing. The coconut is my favorite. What was better than their donuts if even possible was the amazing staff and service. Everyone was so welcoming and nice and helpful. We can?t wait to go back!
This place is very neat . The donuts has a 109 layers in it . Taste quite unique and flaky . We got the coconut cream. Delicious!
So friendly when you walk in! Explained the process of making cronuts! I wanted to try every flavor! Next time will sit down and have a cup of coffee, but had to run home so bought seven an odd number but I wanted them all! So yummy! I now have a new addiction as do my teens and adult son in pic! Highly recommend
The donuts here are like nothing else... They are a delicacy that can't be matched! Don't ignore the old fashioned donuts, they are actually my favorite and I almost ignored them on first pass. Sarah was super nice to me and my kids and the customer service by everyone was great. It was such a treat to come visit and they even had black Friday deals!!
These are not donuts!! They are croissants very cold not warm! I have been to almost every donut shop from Denver to Pueblo and this place would not even make top ten in my book! These I would not classified as donuts, I would classified these has over priced croissants,?40.00 dollars? for 6 donuts insane!! They have monkey bread and they botch that too! The service was good and it was a clean location, but that?s all they have going for them.
These are large croissant donuts that take 4 days to make!! I appreciate the effort that goes into making the tasty donuts, my wife and I bought a six pack for later in the week since we live further away. The inside was like any other donut place and the counter was a little cramped. The food is amazing though!
Flaky delicious donuts. Think fluffly croissants and a donut hybrid. Simply amazing! The layers are crisp and literally melt in your mouth.
A must try in the springs. The quality, the flavor, everything you expect from a good pastry ?? absolutely delicious ??
I love the people that are working here. I did some work for the remodel and they're great people. When the opened and I got my donuts I was thrilled!!! So tasty and unique. The staff is killing it! Keep up the good work guys!
Went do Dad?s Donuts this past weekend, we got there early (6:40am) so the wait wasn?t too much, but the line got long after us. The donuts were pretty good, not the best but a fun new thing to try. Will likely return when they have had time to settle after the craziness of opening weekend. But besides the novelty I will not be coming regularly as the price was high for the quality. But I do love that they don?t have any preservatives or additives in the recipes. Also, we purchased 6 of their $4 donuts but
This is a must try. Delicious donuts & so many varieties. They are a bit pricy but worth every penny.
They explained all their donuts to me and allowed me time to pick out what I wanted. The monkey bread was a unique twist of their own light dough and a delicious topping
109 layers of goodness. Definitely a labor of love taking 4 days to make. Glad I made it to the grand opening! Definitely a place to visit while in Colorado Springs. Hoping for a cinnamon apple cronut in the future.
I went this morning to get some donuts for Father?s Day and I had an amazing experience. The staff were very welcoming and friendly to me and my son. When we got home to try the donuts they were amazing!! So fluffy and DELICIOUS. This is definitely our new favorite donut shop!
I really wouldn?t recommend going here. It smelled weird as soon as my friends and I walked in. The guy at the POS was super nice, however he was really pushing their buy 1 get one free. When I went to pay it was $25 dollars. I got 4 donuts in total, so bought two got two free. That?s an absolute ridiculous price for small donuts. I can get bigger, fluffier cronuts at Paris Baguette for $4 a donut rather than $12/donut. When my friends and I went to enjoy them the maple bacon one was like biting into greasy
First of all, these aren?t donuts. They are flaky, crunchy, layered biscuits with toppings and fillings. The Boston filling is pretty good but the jelly donut is extremely tart. It made my stomach hurt. Fillings should be sweet not sour. Needless to say, I really wanted to leave a good review but this food is an ?acquired taste?. I?d also like to add that they do have a ?regular? donut but it was hard and dry. Not great. It was also $40 to get 5 donuts through door dash with a $3 tip, which is kinda crazy.
These are not really donuts. They're pastries.. I get the concept, just not sure why they are called donuts. I went because if the hype of it being the "best in town" but disagree. It was $16 for three, and they look amazing, but we're chewy, and too salty for my taste. Everyone else on here seems to really dig them though, so I guess Im the odd one out. I will say, the people working there were EXCEPTIONALLY kind, and helpful. Having a rough day, it was extra appreciated having that, and made that alone
Oh, my heavens. Our bosses bought us these today for Valentines. We have awesome bosses. I must say the best best donuts I've ever had. I'm not a big donut fan, but these are amazing. Everyone should try these donuts. Thank you for making such delicious food. My new love ??
The doughnuts are out of this world, however they're super greasy, but they're made with high quality ingredients for sure! The manager was a little too talkative, but she was new and trying her best. Servers were kind and friendly. Will go again, even though it's pricey it's for sure a treat!
The staff was friendly and kind, happy to give suggestions and favorite flavors. The price is excellent for such a fancy donut. We enjoyed the variety of flavors without feeling like there were too many to choose from. We will definitely be coming back. Very transparent about ingredients, fried in rice bran oil. Family friendly environment. It was fun to see the donuts being made around the glass!
Wow! Delicious cronuts! Most of the donuts have filling and all of them have those great croissant layers. Fun flavors- we tried Boston Cream, Almond, Coconut, Lemon, and Chocolate Sprinkles.
Very warm and welcoming, had a very nice explanation of their donuts. Tried the OG cinnamon and not pictured the almond vanilla. Both were AMAZING! Look forward to having these as a nice treat.
Visiting from TX and I saw this place on tiktok so we tried it and it was a 10/10. Customer service was 10/10
How fitting to visit Dad?s donuts on Father?s Day! Been really looking forward to trying a famed Cronut and was not disappointed. Was even there a half hour early and wasn?t even the first in line haha. We tried a half dozen: we preferred the classic flavors we got like Vanilla & OG, vs the more vanity flavors. Only get the almond if you reallllly like almond flavor, we found the filling to be a little too heavy on the almond extract flavor. The feature peach pie OG type flavor was stellar and my top pick,
I love donuts and have been hoping for a new donut shop in the springs for a long time, so was ecstatic when I heard about Dad?s Donuts opening. Location, service, and atmosphere are all top notch. Every employee was pleasant and helpful and though they were busy, the line moved smoothly. Unfortunately I was somewhat disappointed with the donuts. I arrived a little later than anticipated, so many of the more popular varieties had already sold out; I decided on passion fruit, raspberry, and coconut. Thoug
I spent five months backpacking (and eating my way) through Europe after college, and no pastry in any of the many countries I visited could rival the coconut cream donut at Dad?s. What a perfect way to celebrate Father?s Day and my donut-loving husband today. Thanks to everyone involved! ?? ?? ??
Me and my husband stumbled on this donut shop this morning. my husband loves sweets so we went in to get a donut. as soon as we walked in the door the nice last behind the container greeted us and told us how their donuts are made. these aren't just any donuts. we picked 6 (at 6 donuts you get 10% off). the options were fantastic Boston, cookies and milk, passion fruit, monkey bread, coconut cream. unfortunately i can't remember them all. they offered to warm my money bread up i was like idk but she said tr
My kids love these donuts fluffy, buttery, and have a ton of flavor. The price is worth normally I wouldn't pay that much for donuts but these are top-shelf. The people there are so nice and welcoming I can say enough about this place.
I had already had breakfast?but this place pulled me in, so I bought a donut (and a sticker) anyway. What a cool spot both in feel and focus. I?m just finishing up a getaway for foster and adoptive dads and there was no better way than to stop in here.
What a gem! We were passing through and popped in for a quick breakfast. The donuts were incredibly delicious and fresh. Most options are cronut style, and the owner explained the intricate timely process to make them. You can certainly tell! We tried chocolate sprinkle, lemon, raspberry, coconut, maple, and vanilla- don?t make me tell you our favorite. The are very rich in flavor, so you don?t need a lot to satisfy your appetite! Service was unmatched. Every employee provided friendly service and a relaxed
Um wow wow wow. I cannot say enough good things about this cute little bakery. It was my first time in and the two ladies working there were SO SWEET. Seriously two of the sweetest people I?ve ever met! They explained the specialty of their donuts.. 109 layers of golden croissant style deliciousness? I cannot get enough. Even if the donuts were bad I?d go back just for the staff but THE DONUTS ARE AMAZING and I am officially obsessed. We got the pink raspberry, cookies and milk, palisade peaches, passion fr
Super yummy donuts! The staff was very welcoming and nice from the time we walked in. Pictured is the cinnamon sugar and smores donuts. The vanilla, raspberry glaze, monkey bread, and beignets were amazing too. Go get some!!!
Wow!!! As soon as you walk in, the aroma is amazing! The man at the counter was so informative and told us all about the donuts. He was very friendly. My friend got the smores donut and said ?this is the best donut I?ve ever had! The layers really make a difference.? Then one of the owners came over and way really kind and brought us water and talked with us for a bit. Come here, you?ll love it!!!
The owners were so cheerful and gave great recommendations. The cronut was amazing, definitely recommend the almond one.
I stop here once a week and get donuts. My favorite is the maple doughnut today. I ordered my donuts and I get to work and my maple donut is not sweet, but it?s so salty. I can not even eat it. It seems that they may have made the maple frosting with salt opposed to sugar It?s uneditable please pay attention to what you?re doing
They do a cronut style donut here, which, as a base, is very good. The ben-yays are great, and a good value comparatively. I went with the chocolate dip, which was really nice. 5/5 The blueberry crumble is fantastic. The flavors played really well with this format. 5/5 The s'mores is, unfortunately, pointless. It's priced the same as a filled donut, but doesn't have any filling. There's a half marshmallow on top, and a scant crumble of graham cracker. It tastes mostly like how I imagine a plain chocolate
This was my first experience with cronuts. All natural ingredients makes for delicious flavors! The store was clean and bright and the staff was very helpful and nice. We met with co-owner Mitch and got to hear his story. The monkey bread cronut is the best!
Whenever I travel I seek out bakeries and donuts! Boy am I glad that I stumbled upon this place. Some of the best donuts I have ever had. Ridiculously tasty but relatively light. Friendly & professional staff. I can't wait to go back!
Good donuts more cronuts style. But good. Pricey but good. 7.8/10
Tried 3 doughnuts - all yummy, but a tad on the sweet side for my taste. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area and seeking a sweet treat! The staff working the counter were super friendly.
I had the cream filled coconut cream, a bite of the lemon(had an excellent lemon bite to it) and almond filled. They were all very good. My grand daughters had the regular donuts and by how quiet they were it seems that they were very good also. Excellent local business!
We thought this place was supposed to be top-notch! When my family and I went in - the person behind the counter that was helping us couldn't keep his hands off his face, he was literally squeezing a pimple on his face while he was telling us what kind of donuts they had in the case! We walked out. Enough said!
Crazy to see how many serious negative reviews here have no replies, and the replies that are there are defensive or aggressive in defending the business rather than addressing the customer... The most recent replies are not even written by the owners and are clearly made by ChatGPT... No one uses "em dashes ?" on the internet.
Everything is so good! We have been several times, and it's always amazing. The croissant monkey bread is stellar and we get it every time. Highly recommend and we go whenever we can.
Just wanted to leave a tip to be careful about buying the half dozen and full dozen options. They have $4 donuts and $5.50 donuts, but if you buy a half dozen, they will charge you the half dozen price instead of the actual price of the donuts. For example, if I choose six $4 donuts, I should pay $24, but instead they will charge me the half dozen price of $31. I brought this to the attention of the cashier, and he told me that if I buy six I have to pay the half dozen price, not the actual price of the
Pleasant donut cafe:) my only suggestion: 5.50 per donut is pricey in today's economy but there are 4.00 per donut and 3.00 per donuts available too. Also there is free parking on the street west side over.
If I could give more stars, I would! My wife and I stopped in on our honeymoon and they were SO kind (threw in a couple Ben-yay!s for the occasion). The cronuts are amazing and I will absolutely be back in!
We went there, their 2nd day of being open. Unfortunately, we arrived around 9:30 am, and they did not have any of the donuts, we wanted to taste, left. We tried everythung they had available. The Old Fashion Vannila & Cinnamon Sugar, Monkey Bread(Not my favorite, it was hard) and the donut holes(These were delicious) with caramel and vanilla sauce. We will visit again once it dies down.
Way over priced plus the doughnuts are not even made on site and they get stored in the hallway until they are sold. Gross
Delicious confections! We loved these flaky donuts that seemed like a cross between donuts and croissants... a cronut! Very clean, great customer service. Definitely coming back.
I bought two dozen donuts for the staff at Emcompass Health Center! The biggest smiles! I got a few donuts for myself and husband, heavenly and most delicious donuts we have ever tried! A new frequent customer, worth the drive from Divide, CO!!!!!
