Just a hole in the wall donut shop offering traditional tasty donuts. I have to say with everyone describing the dough as fluffy.... they are spot on. There's something about it that's so soft and almost has the melt in your mouth feeling. We ordered an old fashioned glazed and chocolate, as well as a chocolate twist. Avoid this place. Went to get an Apple Fritter. Took a bite and it was like biting into chalk. It was super dry, tasteless and unpleasant. I went back in to speak to the older woman working in the place. I was certain these were a few days old. She was combative and was trying to convince me that every other delicious donut I have ordered before was made wrong. Oh well I lost $1.50 but you don?t have to. There are a ton of other donut shops. Avoid this one.

BTW I went there at 10 am Saturday and there were PLENTY OF DONUTS, wonderfully terrible coffee and a good conversation. Looking for a donut shop early this morning, about 5:50 am. Google showed me the closest to me in the area, came here and it was dark and closed. Update hours and I'll update my review. The shop on Fairmount is open as advertised, cash only. $17 for a dozen donuts, it is what it is, left 3 bucks tip to respect the hustle. Ya snooze, ya lose, Crispy's Donuts.

Fluffy and delicious and never greasy! I've tried a lot of donut shops in San Diego, these are my absolute favorite. You know they're good because they sell out early, so don't miss out!

The donuts are super delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. Every time I go in, I am greeted with a smile on their face. They always add extra donut holes to the bag at check out. They now accept Venmo and cash app for payment which is extremely convenient. I love this spot!

Had an appointment in the area and wanted to try a local donut shop. So glad I picked this place! A nice lady greeted me when I came in. I got there a little before 9am... and most donuts were gone! Remembered last minute I promised to bring donuts for teacher appreciation week. There selection, freshness and quality of the donuts was fantastic. The real kicker was the service. There was a short line when I got in which made me worry a little since I was running late, but the proprietor got through the line efficiently and cheerfully. I placed an order for three dozen glazed donuts with icing and sprinkles, half pink and half blue. I love these donuts! These are gooey delicious. Most donuts are spongey and dry, so this is always a treat to have when we are in the area. The owner is super friendly and like family. I wish them good health and protection.

My family has been coming here for 22 years and the dounuts always taste amazing. I have yet to find another donut shop that makes them just as good. If you are going after 12-1pm dont expect alot of donuts as they run out of most by that time.

Three stars because the old fashioned chocolate frosted donut was basically perfect, but the Boston Cream's filling tasted like pool water. Seeing as how Boston Creams are my favorite, I can't say I'm a fan. I'll go back for regular donuts though, but I'll stay away from the chlorine-flavored filling in the Boston Cream.

Well I went today with my family thinking I'll be a nice place but the person managing the shop was so rude and rushing us along even tho there was no one else there. Also the selection was small and it looked like it was old donuts from earlier that morning and they weren't going to make anymore. The donuts were ok but the service was the worst.

These donuts are great. The couple that run this are really friendly and know how to make delicious donuts. Lightly crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. If you are looking for a donut, this is the place.

This is a neighborhood staple! Get your donuts early though because she is routinely wiped clean before 10:30am on Sundays. The Apple fritters are my fave.
