Just a hole in the wall donut shop offering traditional tasty donuts. I have to say with everyone describing the dough as fluffy.... they are spot on. There's something about it that's so soft and almost has the melt in your mouth feeling. We ordered an old fashioned glazed and chocolate, as well as a chocolate twist. The gentleman that helped us was so nice and helpful. He gave us 2 donut holes for each of pur orders. It may not seem like much but this is a nice gesture for any guest. My husband ordered t

Avoid this place. Went to get an Apple Fritter. Took a bite and it was like biting into chalk. It was super dry, tasteless and unpleasant. I went back in to speak to the older woman working in the place. I was certain these were a few days old. She was combative and was trying to convince me that every other delicious donut I have ordered before was made wrong. Oh well I lost $1.50 but you don?t have to. There are a ton of other donut shops. Avoid this one.

FRIENDLY CAMBODIAN FAMILY OWNED SINCE 1985. Great service with smiles. Watch DONUT KING and support local family owned donut shops! BTW I went there at 10 am Saturday and there were PLENTY OF DONUTS, wonderfully terrible coffee and a good conversation. IF YOU RECOMMEND WENCHELS OVER THIS PLACE, you must still have COVID because those are dead sponge cakes brought to you by another corporate grab at our eating options.

Only $9.45 for a L size of ice coffee and Egg&Cheese Bagel. It?s so tasty & good for me.

Best donuts in San Diego. I love their Thai Iced coffee. ??

Love this place, family owned, friendly and yummy donuts!! Went in this morning, I asked so many questions about which donuts were which and the guy was more then happy to walk me through it lol even threw in a sampler and couple donut holes! #supportlocal

Arrived at Crispy's donuts Tuesday at 1030am. The shelves were completely empty. Won't be back here.

Really great coffee and doughnuts. Nice surprise!

Delicious! Classic California style donuts at a very fair price.

Looking for a donut shop early this morning, about 5:50 am. Google showed me the closest to me in the area, came here and it was dark and closed. Update hours and I'll update my review. The shop on Fairmount is open as advertised, cash only. $17 for a dozen donuts, it is what it is, left 3 bucks tip to respect the hustle. Ya snooze, ya lose, Crispy's Donuts.

Fluffy and delicious and never greasy! I've tried a lot of donut shops in San Diego, these are my absolute favorite. You know they're good because they sell out early, so don't miss out!

The donuts are super delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. Every time I go in, I am greeted with a smile on their face. They always add extra donut holes to the bag at check out. They now accept Venmo and cash app for payment which is extremely convenient. I love this spot!

Donuts are okay. Friendly service. Easy to find parking.

Donuts are amazing and the service is even better. Highly recommend!

Well Ive only been a customer since the 90s. But even when I moved to Chicago for 5 years, when I came to visit I experienced 2 things, I was always greeted like we were picking up a conversation from earlier and the donuts were ALWAYS fresh and fantastic. The Apple Fritters are so crispy and delicious. I can't take less than a "Fast dozen". We have coffee and chat. But the customers are all taken care of spit spot (that's a Mary Poppins-ism.) Anyway, I do myself a favor every time I visit. Oh and if the

Had an appointment in the area and wanted to try a local donut shop. So glad I picked this place! A nice lady greeted me when I came in. I got there a little before 9am... and most donuts were gone! I got the ham & cheese croissant and a chocolate glazed donut bar. The croissant was slightly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside- just the right amount of cheese and ham. Not too greasy like most donut shops, and I didn't feel gross afterwards. The donut was also perfect, a little crispy on the out

A classic 70s Cambodian owned California donut shop. The Netflix documentary The Donut King showed the whole history. They will do everything possible to save a penny, but ignoring all of that, show up in the morning and you'll get a great fresh made donut.

Remembered last minute I promised to bring donuts for teacher appreciation week. There selection, freshness and quality of the donuts was fantastic. The real kicker was the service. There was a short line when I got in which made me worry a little since I was running late, but the proprietor got through the line efficiently and cheerfully. I got my dozen donuts plus extra for the kids and got everyone to school on time.

This is literally the worst donut shop around. It?s the closest one to me because I?ve been in the College Area for 9 yrs, but I?ll drive to City Heights now instead. The owner does not make enough donuts to have anything in the case after 10am. I?ve been here at all hours and she never has donuts and says the same thing every time ? oh I ran out, it?s so busy?. News flash, it?s NEVER busy when I?ve gone in there. Another time she told me she can?t afford to make donuts because the price of flour went up. A

Dont sleep on this place ! I?ve tried a few of the area donut places (golden donut, rose donut) and this place has the fluffiest donuts with the best texture ! They also make a great ice coffee and the sandwiches remind me of the bodega sandwiches back from when I lived in NYC

If you want some really great light and fluffy at doughnuts this is the place to go as joy says who is I believe the owner you don't want to give your friends a heart attack one layer of glaze is perfect. My kids love the crumb doughnuts and I myself always go for a large coffee. You will not be disappointed by eating a whole dozen of the donut holes to yourself as they truly are light and fluffy

I placed an order for three dozen glazed donuts with icing and sprinkles, half pink and half blue. I ordered 5 days in advance and received a voice mail at 3pm the day before I was to pick them up stating there was a problem with the order. I called back at 3:15 and no one answered. I was beyond upset when I picked up my order the following day. Not only was there no icing on any of the donuts, but the ?pink? sprinkles were a combination of red, white, and pink, and poorly applied. When I told the woma

Best donut place! They always give me extra donut holes. Very hole in the wall family owned. Great service. Highly recommend

Pros: Good donuts Cons: The lack of customer service. The clerk seemed annoyed as soon as soon as we walked in. The establishment is cash only which is not recommended or safe during a pandemic. I asked if she would be offering cashless options in the future because of the pandemic and the clerk flat out yelled "CASH ONLY" pointing to the sign following with "I don't care!" and rolling her eyes. *clarification - I had just finished my transaction. If this interaction had happened prior to my purchase I wou

I love these donuts! These are gooey delicious. Most donuts are spongey and dry, so this is always a treat to have when we are in the area. The owner is super friendly and like family. I wish them good health and protection.

My family has been coming here for 22 years and the dounuts always taste amazing. I have yet to find another donut shop that makes them just as good. If you are going after 12-1pm dont expect alot of donuts as they run out of most by that time.

I love this place. I'd go here more often if my diet allowed it (lol). Friendliest people and delicious donuts!!

Three stars because the old fashioned chocolate frosted donut was basically perfect, but the Boston Cream's filling tasted like pool water. Seeing as how Boston Creams are my favorite, I can't say I'm a fan. I'll go back for regular donuts though, but I'll stay away from the chlorine-flavored filling in the Boston Cream.

Stoped in to buy a dozen doughnuts and was not disappointed by the selection or quality :) Every doughnut was fresh and tasted amazing. The owner who was working was so kind too! Great to support a long standing local doughnut place

Well I went today with my family thinking I'll be a nice place but the person managing the shop was so rude and rushing us along even tho there was no one else there. Also the selection was small and it looked like it was old donuts from earlier that morning and they weren't going to make anymore. The donuts were ok but the service was the worst.

These donuts are great. The couple that run this are really friendly and know how to make delicious donuts. Lightly crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. If you are looking for a donut, this is the place.

Support your local family business ! This family owned shop always has fresh donuts and the beer breakfast sandwiches ! Please stop going to a corporate spot and shop here

This is a neighborhood staple! Get your donuts early though because she is routinely wiped clean before 10:30am on Sundays. The Apple fritters are my fave.

Donuts and croissants are always fresh. The lady behind the counter is really nice and courteous. This is a high quality donut shop :)

I had an apple fritter and it was made well, really soft and fluffy inside. The lady is very friendly and started chatting it up like she knew me but I?ve never been there before lol.

Absolutely wonderful. First time in, we came late in the day donuts were still fresh and delicious may be my only donut place from now on.

Lady behind the counter was very nice, even giving all 4 of my kids samples. Fresh donuts, great service, clean restaurant -- we will be back!

These Donuts are o.k. to me if You Really want Donuts in this area. I Still Prefer Krispy Kreme or Winchell's, but these are fine in a Pinch.

Extremely friendly, and the donuts were some of the best I've had in San Diego, simple, but delicious.

I?ve been coming here since I was a kid. 2nd generation owners. Always delicious!!!

Only cash, y'all. Of course it's on the day I buy 4 dozen donuts. They are tasty though.

Nice locally own neighborhood donut shop. Very friendly service and yummy donuts!!

The lady is incredibly nice and the donuts are tasty and cheap. Fast dozen for $11

Crispy's Donuts are baked fresh everyday and I'm always greeted with a nice smile. Try a baker's dozen ?
